Stonefang sat with Snowstorm guarding camp, the sun was setting and the forest was almost silent. Stonefang was laid down and Snowstorm was sat a few tail lengths away, washing her fur.

After a while Snowstorm got up "I'm going down to the lake for a drink" she announced "I won't be long"she added. She walked down through the forest and down the slope to the lake.

Stonefang flicked her tai with annoyance "what's taking her so long?" she muttered to herself. As she said this a cat jumped out of a nearby bush and attacked her. Stonefang let out a howl of supprise, waking up most cats in camp.

Moonlight woke up to hear Stonefang's howl. She ran out of the medical den and towards the entrance. The cat that was attacking Stonefang saw Moonlight and fled.

Stonefang sat in the medical den washing her fur. Skystar walked into the medical den. She dipped her head respectfully "greeting Stonefang.". Stonefang dipped her head in reply. Skystar sat down opposite her and they started discussing what had happened.

Skystar called a clan meeting. "I have some terrible news" Skystar said "we have a murderer in our midst". Before speaking again she looked at each cat individually, she didn't want to believe that one of them could have done this. "Stonefang was attacked tonight whilst guarding the clan. Fortunately Moonlight and Sombernight are gifted medical and have healed her"
