It's was night time and the forest was silent. Sagetail hadn't been able to sleep so she had gone for a walk of the territory.

After a while Sagetail reached the river. She leant down to get a drink. A cat covered in shadows approached her. Sagetail lifted her head up and smiled at the cat "hello" she said. The cat suddenly pounced onto Sagetail and held her under the water.

The sun started to rise. Sunsetstar yawned and stretched. Sugarspice walked into her mate's den with a smile. "I have some news" she told Sunsetstar "I'm expecting kits!". Sunsetstar was thrilled "that's great" he said with a purr.
A yowl was heard at the entrance of camp and Riverswift ran into Sunsetstar's den, ruining the moment,"Sagetail has been murdered!" He told them.
