Percy groaned as he sat in his office chair, pondering the days events.

Jason gone, Check.

A girl killed, Check.

A movie star almost murdered, Check.

Going into court to see the guy who attempted murder, not yet.

Percy sighed and played with a pen on his desk. That's when another Agent close to him walked in. He was blond with bright blue eyes and a large scar on his face.

"Aye, Perce, why so down?" He asked, pulling up a random chair and sitting on it at the opposite end of Percy's desk. Percy sighed again.

"I just don't understand. All these killings and kidnappings, we haven't even had one in seven years. And all of the sudden they just turn up," Percy said, still playing with his pen.

"I know what you mean. Actually, I came in here to get you. There's a court going on about Leo Valdez, the one who tried to kill Piper McLean. I thought that if you were there it might help with your Thalia Grace and Jason Grace case," the Agent says.

"Sure, lead the way," Percy says, and he puts the pen away into his drawer, following Agent Luke Castellan.

Percy and Luke snuck into the back and took seats to watch. Sure enough, Leo Valdez was sitting next to a girl with curly blond hair. On the other side was the one and only Piper McLean, her leg in a cast, and her in a wheelchair.

And dam, did she look angry.

It started off with Piper telling the judge what happened. Then it was Leo's turn.

"I swear, I was walking away from Piper and going to...I can't say," Leo said, biting his lip.

"Then it's settled, your lying. You tried to kill her," the judge said. Piper's eyes turned cold but sad.

"No! I just...alright. Piper's birthday is in two days. So I was going to get her present and hide it in her dressing room because in two days she comes back to do another dress rehearsal. Then she would find it and be all happy and stuff. I went to my car and then started walking inside and placed it on a chair while I got a drink of water. When I turned around it was gone and then the men arrested me, you know what happened from there," Leo said. Piper looked stunned. A tear traced down her cheek.

"Leo Valdez, I am sorry, your story seems so truthful, but Piper saw you. You were there. Wherever you cam up with this, there is only proof that it was you," the judge said. Leo looked at the judge frantically, and opened his mouth to say something.

"Judge Athena, please. Your men said they saw him walking into the building with that box, and that's when Piper was being killed. There's no way-" Leo's lawyer starts, but Judge Athena cuts her off.

"No way that he could be in two places at once. Which is why he is being arrested and thrown in jail for 25 years for attempted murder," Judge Athena said. FBI agents stand up and drag Leo away, and he hangs his head. As Piper watched him go, tears flow freely from her eyes. Most left until it was down to some agents and the lawyers. The blond lawyer walked right by Percy and he caught a glimpse of her face.

It was beautiful and angelic, but had a serious sharp look to it. Her gray eyes seemed to scan everything and you could see the years turning in her head. Percy couldn't stop looking at her.

"Agent Jackson? Percy! I asked you a question!" Luke said. Percy shook his head and just stared at Luke.

"Who was that?" He asked, ignoring Luke's annoyed expression. Luke let a smile tug in the corner of his mouth.

"That, my friend, is the one and only Annabeth Chase."
