Wrenpaw, Robinpaw, Redpaw and Stonepaw gathered at the camp entrance with their mentors except for Rockhide, Robinpaw's mentor. Robinpaw looked at her siblings and their mentors before laying her ears back in embarrassment and upset. She was upset that Maplestar had assigned a mentor that didn't even want to turn up. Goldenshadow looked over at Robinpaw and sighed "I'm sure he'll be here any minute" he said softly. Goldenshadow kept telling himself, trying to reassure himself, even though he hadn't seen Rockhide at all this morning. After what felt like hours of waiting, which had just in fact been half an hour, Appledawn got up "let's just go without him. He's probably not going to turn up" he stated. He saw his sister Goldenshade (this is going to be confusing 😅) "hey! Goldenshade! Can you come with us and be Robinpaw's mentor for the day? Rockhide hasn't shown up" he asked. Goldenshade nodded her head happily and padded over to Robinpaw happily.

The group padded towards the lake the mentors were pointing out all the good spots for hunting and where their territory borders were. As they got closer to the lake Stonepaw tripped over, feeling fur on his leg that had made him trip up he very quickly got up and backed off, excepting to be scolded "sorry" he whimpered. The group looked over curiously before Robinpaw let out a shriek in fear. Stonepaw as tripped over Rockhide's body, which like Scanperstep's body, was shredded with scratched. Robinpaw stood there staring at her former mentor, her ears laid back and instantly regretting thinking he wasn't bothered enough to turn up. Stonepaw was freaking out as he couldn't see or understand what was happening. Redpaw and Wrenpaw looked traumatised and the mentors looked panicked. Leafspot grabbed Stonepaw by his scruff and pulled him away. Goldenshade ran back to camp to alert everyone. Goldenshadow appears to be having a panic attack as Appledawn investigated the body for an scent but like Scamperstep the body was wet, removing any scent from it.

Maplestar looked over at the new apprentices and sighed. They huddled together looking traumatised. She looked over the rest of her clan who were all looking uneasy. She explained what had happened to the gathered cats.
