Heathershade walked down towards the lake in the middle of the valley. She liked to go down there to avoid her other clan mates when she wanted to be alone. She watched as the lake bubbled menacingly, the lake was polluted and murky so Cavernstar had warned against going into and drinking the water. She sat by the edge of the lake and watched the ripples in the lake as it started to rain.

After a while Heathershade went to stand up and stretch but before she could she head an angry scowl behind her. She quickly looked behind her but before she was able to see who it was she felt a sharp pain in her neck and the cold waters of the lake engulf her. She went to call for help but felt the air from her lungs disappear as she sank, too weak and shocked to fight back.

Cavernstar sat on the highrock looking over her clan. This death was troubling her. After Heathershade had disappeared for a while day she had sent out a patrol of 3 warriors to find her. She had sent Burnblaze, Oasisrain and Midnightflame to investigate and when they had returned they had found Heathershade's body. It was drenched with a bite wound on her neck. She sighed and stood up "as you have heard Heathershade has been killed. I am unsure of what happened but Silentstream has confirmed that it is a wound that has been inflicted by another cat" she looked around as she heard shocked gasps "we are unsure of who did it. Whether it was a rouge or a ... clan cat" she continued. Angry howl erupted as she said clan cat.
