Eight
Jimin made his way through the hallway alone when school ended, having seen Taehyung off at his soccer practice.
He found his way being obstructed by a familiar caramel haired girl, who was dressed in a black leather jacket and jeans today, her lips tinted bright red.
"Park Jimin."
"Move out of the way, Hyuna."
"Well, well, well. Someone remembers my name huh? And there's no need to be rude, honey. I was just here to acknowledge the fact that I was wrong. You don't seem like Taehyung. You're pretty... interesting." She bit her lip, eyes raking over Jimin's body. "We could work," she said, winking at him and leaving.
Jimin looked at her retreating form, rolling his eyes. "As if I'll ever like someone like her," he huffed, and walked home.

Taehyung put his phone down, having played too many games and watched too many videos to find any of it fun anymore. He was bored, he needed company. He was dead tired due to the soccer practice, though he didn't want to sleep, and wanted someone around him to cheer him up. Namjoon and Hoseok were busy, and Jungkook had gone over to Yoongi's with Seokjin.
Then it hit him, so simple, so brilliant, he wondered why he hadn't thought of it in the first place. Jimin. He called the older boy.
"Hi Jimin. Are you free?"
"Yes, why?"
"Wanna hang out?"
"Sure. I'd love to."
"Let's meet at the ice cream parlour near the underground then, is that alright?"
"Yes! Okay then, I'll see you at...?"
"Six, I guess?"
"Six it is then."
"Perfecto. Bye!"
"Bye bye."

Taehyung met Jimin at the ice cream parlour, and after a lot of deliberation, a few annoyed stares from other customers and a little argument, both boys got a double chocolate cone with sprinkles on top. They went outside to sit on the park bench.
"Jimin, can I taste your ice cream?"
"We have the same flavour." Jimin deadpanned at him.
"Just let me..." Taehyung whined.
"Alright," Jimin sighed, giving in to Taehyung's attempt to act cute. "Taste it. But not a lot, alright?"
Taehyung leaned forward towards the ice cream, eyes focused on Jimin, who gulped. The older boy felt like fanning himself. The stare was hot, too hot. How was he the same boy who was acting cute barely two seconds ago?
Taehyung didn't stop at the ice cream, he leant forward, closing his eyes and capturing Jimin's lips with his own.
Jimin dropped his ice cream in shock.
Taehyung moved his lips against the older's, tilting his head a bit further to deepen the kiss. He used his free hand to caress Jimin's face, softly moving his finger along the latter's jawline. Jimin's hands wrapped around Taehyung's neck, burying themselves into the younger's hair.
The two of them stayed like that, for how long, no one knows. Taehyung pulled away and handed his ice cream to Jimin, who was looking at him, breathless and with flushed cheeks. He went back inside the ice cream parlour, muttering something about paying.
While Jimin waited outside, Hyuna walked up to him.
"Park Jimin, we meet again. We do seem to keep running into each other, isn't it?"
"Isn't it because you keep following me?" Jimin scoffed.
"Ah, no. Not at all, honey. I think it's just fate itself trying to get us to date, isn't it?"
"No, thank you," Jimin growled, losing his patience.
At that moment, Taehyung walked out of the shop, putting his wallet back inside the pocket of his jeans. His eyes fell on Hyuna, who was glaring at him.
"What is he doing here with you?" She spat at Jimin, pointing towards Taehyung.
"I'm out here taking him on a little ice-cream date," Taehyung answered coldly. "It'd be better if you left us alone."
"You should be the one leaving us alone, Kim Taehyung," Hyuna screeched furiously. "Look at your filthy self, the guts you have to talk to me like that after everything. You've already ruined my life enough, what do you want now? Ruin my love life too? Or ruin his life, perhaps?" She pointed at Jimin.
"How-How dare you!?" Taehyung shouted at her, scandalised.
"You very well know what I'm talking about!" She screamed. Then, impatient and bubbling with anger, she turned on her heel and left.
"What was that about?" Jimin asked Taehyung, who'd gone very numb.
"N-nothing. It- it was nothing, Jimin. Don't worry."
"Taehyung, look at you, you're shaking. Sit down." Jimin held the younger boy's hand and made him sit on the bench. "Are you okay? Do you want to talk about it?" But looking at the boy made it very plain to Jimin that he didn't want to talk about it.
"Thanks Jimin," Taehyung breathed out shakily. "But I can't, I'm sorry. It'll be better if I- if I leave."
"Taehyung, no-" Jimin said, trying to stop him, but Taehyung had already run away.
