PERCY'S POV

Percy walked next to Nico, his hand occasionally brushing against Nico's. It drove him crazy, not being able to hold his hand. However, they'd both agreed that it would be better if they didn't, in case Hades didn't approve.

They'd gotten into the Underworld without a hitch, what with Nico being Hades's son and all.

Percy was still amazed at how he spoke with the guards with such authority. They hadn't even tried to stop him; they simply stood back and let him through.

They did, however, stop Percy.

Nico had marched right up to the guards and spoke angrily to them in Roman. Instantly, they said something that must've been an apology, for they stood back and let Percy through.

The whole ordeal made Percy feel like a V.I.P. (Very Important Percy).

Nico led him through the Underworld, turning random corners and passing by gates to different homes of the dead. Normally, Percy knew his way around from saving Nico and all, but being around his boyfriend always turned his brain to mush.

Soon, they arrived at Hades's palace. It stood like a gigantic black spire in the middle of an empty graveyard. The place still sent shivers down Percy's spine. Nico, however, simply kept waking toward it.

When they reached Cerberus, Nico barked at him in Ancient Greek and they were able to pet him. Percy ran a hand through Cerberus's fur, marveling at how soft and fluffy it was. Even in the Underworld he had a clean coat.

As they walked up to the entrance of the palace, Percy could feel his hands shaking. Nervously, he knocked on the door.

Instantly, it opened, revealing a slightly irritated god of the dead.

"Yes, what do you want?" Hades asked grumpily. Must've woken him from his beauty sleep. Not like it would do much for Hades anyway.

"You said you would repay me?" Percy asked, his voice raising a few octaves.

"Oh, yes, yes. You guys get a vacation to anywhere you want for a whole month. Anywhere in the world!" Hades announced dramatically.

Percy glanced at Nico, and, simultaneously, they said, "London."

Hades harrumphed. "Fine. I'll set everything up and you guys can leave tomorrow. I'll send a dream vision to one of you so you'll know where you're staying."

Percy fought back the urge to squeal like a little girl, and instead bowed to Hades.

"Thank you, Lord Hades," Percy said respectfully.

"Yeah, thanks Dad," Nico added, a small smile playing on his lips.

"No, um, thank you," Hades stuttered, as though it hurt to apologize.

And with that, the door slammed in their faces.

"Awesome! Let's go pack!" Percy exclaimed. His boyfriend smiled and nodded.

Nico gently took Percy's hand and, the next thing he knew, they were spiraling into darkness.
