Hey guys! Before we start, I'd like to clear up a few things. I know some people are frustrated that my chapters are more fillery and stuff, and I know that the whole relationship building stuff does get extremely boring after a time, but trust me, it'll be worth it. Without the filler stuff, this "book" I suppose would probably end here or in a couple more chapters. It's all necessary and every chapter has some tiny bit of important stuff! This one is somewhat of a filler but it is important as well so please don't skip over it. Also people seem to be losing interest in my stories and I know that is because of my lack of updates. Again, I apologize profusely for that. My family and I moved to an apartment recently and the adjustment has been kinda rough but now that I'm settled in the updates will be more frequent. To those of you who have been sticking with me: Thank you. I know LTN got a lot more attention than this one, and my creativity has been dimmed down due to recent events, but I promise I am trying my hardest. Expect at least one update every week! Also, Running will be updated sometime as well. I've lost motivation for it recently because of lack of creativity, but don't worry! I'll focus on it more as soon as I've finished this story. But I have many exciting things planned for the future! So stay tuned for all of that, and thank you for being dedicated. I love you guys.

NICO'S POV

Nico unfolded the lined paper with trembling hands. With everything that had happened recently, he'd forgotten about the times that they had been pen pals. Now the memories were bittersweet memories that brought tears to his eyes. Because of Destiny, all that might be torn apart now.

Dearest Nico,

I hope you're doing well. Okay that was kinda lame but I really do. I know you've been through a lot recently since the discovery of Destiny's pregnancy, but let's just forget about that for now. You're so amazing Neeks, and I hope you know that I love you very much. You're astral, you know. You shine as bright as all the stars in the sky. When you smile, my heart begins to race and when we get in stupid arguments I'm terrified to lose you. You are my world, my sun, and my Ghost King. You're the most amazing human being on this planet (besides Patrick Stump lol).  I wanna scream I love you from the top of my lungs, but I'm afraid that someone else will hear me...You can only blame your problems on the world for so long, before it all becomes the same old song. (yes that's a fall out boy reference. I know how much you love them). I love you so much and I would take a bullet for you, I'd sacrifice myself for you, and I'd go to the greatest extent to make you happy. I promise I'll never let anything happen to you, Nico. You light up my world even when it seems so dark and murky. You're like a kitten that I just want to cuddle with and play with and keep close to me until I die. You are the source of my happiness and my laughter. Sure you make me crazy at times, but that's why I love you. You have a special place in my heart that I normally keep under lock and key. You have filled the place inside me that I never thought would be filled again. You've been there for me when Annabeth broke up with me and you've been so lovely and amazing and I jut love you. I look over at you sometimes and I just want to spin you in my arms and give you a gentle kiss on the cheek because you are my light. I love you I love you and I love you so freaking much that I can barely stand it. I hope you love me too. You're my everything and I promise that I'll always be here for you and I'll never ever leave you.

I love you so so so much, never forget that. Please never forget that. I'd be lost if I had to see you go.

Nico stared at the sloppy mess that was Percy's handwriting. His heart was doing a gymnastics routine in his chest and suddenly he felt more alive than he ever had. He felt like he'd grown wings and he had just taken flight for the first time. He realized he was shaking with happiness. Tears were forming rapidly in his eyes, making the world fade into a big blob of color. However, he could recognize Percy as he leaned toward him. Nico closed his eyes as the tears slipped down his cheeks. Percy straddled Nico and kissed him softly. Nico immediately pressed back.

Something about this kiss was different. Yeah, they'd kissed before, but this felt magical. The kind of magical you feel when you see fireworks for the first time, or when you have your first sleepover with your best friend. Only it was so much better. Nico's heart turned mushy and warm, like caramel as their lips moved against each other. It wasn't rough or hungry, it was just loving. Love blew through Nico like a warm summer's breeze. He realized that he loved this man and he never wanted to let him go.

"I love you so much," Nico said, pulling away from Percy.

"I love you more," Percy said, engulfing Nico in a hug.

"I love you most," Nico whispered, tears still tricking down his face in a gentle stream. Percy leaned back and wiped them away.

"I love you to infinity and beyond," Percy mumbled gently, his electric green eyes striking into Nico's brown eyes.

"Impossible," Nico breathed before pressing his lips against Percy's once more. This time, the kiss was even more passionate. Percy slipped his tongue into Nico's mouth. Nico let out a noise as best he could and grabbed Percy even tighter. Soon they broke away and sat side by side.

"Aren't the stars beautiful?" Percy asked after a time.

"They are. They kind of take your fears away," Nico mumbled.

"I'm glad I can have moments like this with you," Percy said gently. Nico didn't reply as he leaned against Percy's chest and let his eyes close. Soon the world faded away to darkness.

"I'm coming for you Nico." Nico blinked open his eyes and immediately realized that he was dreaming. He felt like he was outside of his body as he looked upon his enemy.

"Destiny... Please, leave me alone. You've done enough damage to me. Hell, you almost tore me and Percy apart! Isn't that plenty? Isn't seeing the love of my life almost walk away from me satisfactory?" Nico hissed in exasperation. Destiny glared at Nico through narrowed eyes.

"You don't understand how it feels! To be in love with someone so much and have them tell you they love you back! And then, they just announce that they're gay and they walk away. You don't know how it feels to be raped by your own stepfather, you don't understand how it feels when your mom catches him raping you and then blames it on you! Nico, you'll never understand the pain I've endured and losing you was the last straw. I remember the first time I talked to you. You were crying over Percy because you caught him in his boxers with another girl. I tried to comfort you and you yelled at me. I remember it all Nico. Memories are like shadows; they fall you until the end of time and you can never get rid of them no matter how bright it is," Destiny wailed angrily. "My life has been ruined by you! It's all your fault!"

Nico took a step forward, his heart breaking with compassion. "Destiny, I know I don't understand. I can't even begin to fathom how hard that must've been and how hard it is to live with that everyday. But that's what I faced with Percy. I had to listen to him have sex with Annabeth on the Argo II and it killed me. I watched my mother die and my best friend/first boyfriend be drowned. I survived Tartarus, literal hell, to save the world. I've been through more pain than I can begin to describe. I understand pain and I know how you want to give up and ruin everyone else's lives to hide what you're feeling. But please, take it from me. This isn't the way. You're going to keep feeling worse and worse and I'm sorry but I'm trying to help you. Please, stop this," Nico begged.

Destiny's blue eyes began to spark with compassion for a moment before she took a step back, her gaze sharpening with anger.

"You're just selfish," she said, her voice as cold as ice. "This isn't over, Nico di Angelo. I'm coming for you."

Nico woke up with a start, his heart beating rapidly. To his surprise, he was in a bed instead of in Percy's arms. It took him a moment to realize that he was back in their room. Nico rolled over but discovered that Percy wasn't in the bed next to him. He got up and looked out their window. Cold, dawn light was filtering through the window, giving the room an ominous look. Then, he noticed a note on the coffee table.

Hey! I went downstairs to get coffee and breakfast. I'll bring you something.

Nico smiled to himself and picked up the note. He folded it up nicely and slid it into a pocket of his black suitcase. He then opened the suitcase entirely and put on a black shirt and black skinny jeans. Then something rubbed against his leg. It was Twilight. Nico picked up the blind kitten and held her close to him. She mewled weakly and snuggled into his shoulder.

"Percy did a good job," Nico mumbled to himself, "he didn't even forget to pick up the kittens." Nico set down Twilight and put some Fancy Feast: Chicken Feast flavor into a pink bowl and then some Meow Mix: Tuna flavor into a blue bowl. Bob preferred the Meow Mix over the Fancy Feast. He then poured water into a big bowl and set all the bowls down for the meowing kittens. They both let out a final mew before tucking in. Twilight had some trouble finding her bowl but, when she did find it, she gulped her food down hungrily.

There was a clicking sound as the door opened and Percy stepped inside.

"I'm back!" Percy called. Nico smiled and walked toward him, giving him a gentle kiss on the cheek. Percy blushed. "I brought some toast and doughnuts. Sorry, they were out of eggs."

"It's okay. I don't care for eggs anyways," Nico said cheerfully before carefully selecting a chocolate doughnut from the array of breakfast treats. Percy opened the fridge and poured two glasses of orange juice then carried them to the table. Nico placed all the food on the table, careful not to knock over any orange juice.

"Thith ith a really good doughnut," Nico mumbleld, his mouth full of chocolate doughnut. Percy laughed.

"Hang on, you have some doughnut on your mouth," Percy said, his eyes alight with amusement. "There," he said, wiping it off. Nico's stomach filled with butterflies as Percy gently caressed Nico's cheek.

"Th-thankth," Nico said, blushing. He swallowed quickly before wolfing down another bite. He was starving.

Percy began to eat his food just as quickly. "How are the kittens?" Percy asked.

"They're good. I think we should take Twilight to the vet to see what to do for a blind kitten. When does our flight leave today?" Nico asked, chewing his food thoughtfully.

Percy reached down into his pocket and pulled out the plane tickets. "Noon," Percy announced. Nico glanced at the clock on the microwave. 7:30 A.M.

"After we eat, we should probably start packing. Will the kittens be okay for the flight?" Nico said fretfully.

"Of course they will! They're our kittens which means they're strong and brave," Percy said in a Batman voice.

"They must've gotten it from you then," Nico said adoringly. Percy's cheeks lit up and Nico couldn't suppress a smile when he kissed him on the cheek.

Thirty minutes later, they'd finished all their food. Most of the time had been taken up by idle chit chat. "Let's play some music while we pack!" Percy said excitedly.

Nico began neatly packing his clothes and other belongings. Small, angry huffs were heard every time he discovered a pair of Percy's underwear hanging from a door. Soon, everything was packed.

"Let's go," Percy said, lugging suitcases and cat carriers. Nico's arms were just as full.

"Let's," Nico mumbled, following his boyfriend out the door. Destiny's ominous message rang in his mind. What was she planning?
