Chapter 12

Arrow pov

I lay on the grass clutching my side as it slowly healed. 'She was protecting those things!' Theo growls in my mind. -She is mated to one of them- I said only for him to chuckle. 'I saw no mark nor smelled him on her. She still can be challenged for it.' Theo said my wolf is insane she is with a dragon. They would kill us if we attacked. If she ad pups with him then even more of a reason to take us out. She would probably allow it too.

'Not if you mark and mate her first. Then she would bow to you.' Theo said with a sick laugh. -she wouldn't allow it nor would the wolfblood council.- I said trying to reason with my beast. 'Those spineless cowards can't stop what will happen.' My wolf growls. -what about Jaxon Theo? if he can mark and mate her, then she would fulfill the obligation to the contract. She would be his Luna and we would be Alpha of father's pack.- I held my breath while he paced around in my mind.

'I think that could work and everyone walks away happy. Well all but our whore of a sister.' He growled before retreating into my mind. This would be the only shot we have. "Lindsey go to Winter moon pack and tell Jaxon its time. He has been sad about Victoria long enough. Iris would be his mate gladly." I said and the young female wolf nods before rushing off in her tan wolf form. I close my eyes letting sleep take me. Theo can heal me faster if he is in control.

Iris pov

Running threw the forest surrounding Stonefire was oddly freeing. Luka and a few others join me in scouting. The fresh sent of rain mixed with earth hit me. It couldn't be we haven't even contacted him yet. "Iris it me." Jax said over mind link. Why does his sent make me feel different.  -Rain what is happening?- I asked my wolf who is walking twords him cautiously. "Jaxon how did you find me?" I asked praying to the moon goddess Arrow didn't do something stupid. "Iris Arrow sent for me. You know about Victoria she passed in childbirth. Winter Moon needs a Luna. I know you feel the pull just as I do. Iris your my second chance mate." He said over mind link licking my muzzle.

"No I have a mate he is a Dragon." I said backing away making him growl at me. "Iris they are at the mercy of humans. If you mate with me the pack members can follow you to winter mood. You can run free like your supposed to. They don't understand what we are how we operate. They are different from us. How would children work between you and him? " He lunged at me his jaws clamped around my throat. Fear rolling threw me unaware that Jax was yanked away from me and going toe to toe with Luka. Jax Cream color wolf Solar Lunged at Luka and I jump in. A Alpha  should never raise paw to a cub. 'Luka go back get the other's and Bram' I mindlink the him before fighting Jax. Luka ran back leaving me at the mercy of a male Alpha. The fight was harsh but he pinned me biting my mark spot just as Bram arrived. I heard a roar and the feeling Jax being yanked off me.
Bram pov

'He is biting her mark spot ' Luka said over mind link the whimper coming from Iris told me she didn't want this. I shift my arms into dragon lims and yank the wolf off Iris. She was bleeding. Tossing the cream colored wolf into a tree, I rush to help Iris. She was burning up this wasn't good. -we have no choice shift and take her to sid.- my dragon said and thats what I was going to do.

*Time skip*
I pace the halls waiting for news. When on of the elder females of Iris's pack grabbed my arm. "Alpha Bram please sit with me." She old woman said in a warm voice. The odd part was I smell the pack on her but don't recognize her. She looks like Iris. "Just bram and who might you be?" The woman smiles "I am Clarabell Antwanet Rossi surly you heard of me?" That name but it can't be. I fall into a cold sweat this woman is dead. "Relax yourself and sit we need to talk." I sat next to her she smiled warmly.

"Bram you remind me of my late mate Iris's father. This is how I know you are going to be good to her. She needs you now more than ever you need to mark her consummate the mate bond. She is entering her heat cycle because of Jax marking her. At this time she will be extremely fertile. I know you two have been putting this off but if Jax impregnates her she will be lost to you forever. I trust you Bram and wish you luck." She said walking away disappearing before my eyes. -our mate will carry our young.-  my dragon said as Sid walked in the hall to speak with me.
