6- Silence
The morning was quiet, and it seemed like the world had frozen. The only visible sign of life, was the three people that stood on grey stone. Nothing was said for some time, and then Parker lost it. He began to cry. It wasn't the kind of heartbroken sobbing you see in movies. It was subtle. Regardless, Hazel and Adam both still saw him. Finally, he spoke.
"So, you two all along huh? Every time I was forced to check someone, they ended up dead the next day. I just don't get it! Why did you give into it? We were your friends!"
Adam and Hazel both gave him sad looks.
"You don't understand Parker!" Hazel said, and his sad expression became angry.
"Don't understand what Hazel? How you and Adam have been secretly murdering your friends?"
Adam jumped in. "It's not like that Parker! We don't have any control here! What you don't understand is how much we hate this! Just as much as you do!"
"Whaddya mean you can't control it? Of course you can Adam! You don't HAVE to kill! You could have given yourself up at the beginning and this would all be over! I checked Hazel last night, and I know what both of you are! Vote with me to get Hazel, and you'll win at least!"
"Parker why? You're losing yourself in this game just like we lost ourselves in this game's roles!"
"Parker, I... Look, I know this is stressful, but you need to be rational! I'm still not willing to believe this game is real, especially after the level of control it has on us. Even if we die here, I'm willing to take the risk and let this game play out."
"NO! YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND ADAM! SHE PROBABLY HAS A KNIFE SOMEWHERE ON HER RIGHT NOW! IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, THEN I WILL!"
Parker sprinted towards Hazel, and she ducked out of the way only barely missing being tackled.
"Parker stop!" She shouted as he came at her again. Adam looked down at his feet, before looking back up with an angry glare. Parker came at her again, and this time he didn't miss. Hazel was taken to the ground.
"YOU KILLER!" He shouted as Hazel tried to escape his grip.
"Parker you're losing yourself!" Adam called out. Hazel continued to try and shake him off.
"That's it! I vote against Parker!" Adam yelled. Parker looked up.
"You what...?"
"I vote Parker as well... no hard feelings, it's just this game..."
She stopped as Parker was seemingly dragged to the center of the town by some invisible force.
"W-what?!" He exclaimed. "You guys can't be serious here!"
"Parker... We don't want to do this... But the game did something more to you. I don't understand it, but you attacked one of us after you called US killers. I had to say something or who knows..."
"Parker... we don't want to do..."
"I get it. You just want a fellow murderer to win. You'd give up your win for that. I get it. I'm a townie, and that makes me your enemy. I get it."
"I was just saying that we don't want to do this Parker..."
"I don't care Hazel!"
"I cast my vote. I'm sorry Parker, but hopefully you'll understand once this game isn't consuming you. Hazel, you voting?"
Parker was suddenly standing on a stool. The noose was wrapped around his neck.
"Guys please wait I!"
The stool was kicked out from underneath him, and Hazel and Adam both looked away. As they did so, a piece of paper landed below him. Adam stepped closer and read it.
Parker the sheriff
N1 Tom- ns/dead
N2 Skye- Mafia/dead
N3 Hazel-SK
"So, you're a Serial killer huh?" Adam asked her. Hazel stared down at her feet.
"I didn't ask to be..."
"I know. I didn't ask to be Mafia either."
"Look, this game isn't real, so this isn't going to be held as a grudge, right?"
"Yeah... I guess..."
Then, Hazel and Adam were both pulled back to their homes.

What if it's real, what if it's real! I can't have just caused that... Did I just...? Am I a monster...?

That had been the day before that she had been remembering. She had thought her instincts would have kicked in by now, but they hadn't. She felt confused, yet a little relieved. Was she not going to be forced to kill tonight? It was then, that she heard it.
A gunshot.
She paused, wondering. Serial Killers were immune in game, so had Adam tried to shoot her and failed? She stood, but as a precaution, she slipped her knife into a pocket on her jacket. If only she had known the consequences of going.
