Nani sat in the hall sipping her tea and watching Aarav who was playing a game on his tablet and she remembered her conversation with Mami.

Flashback.

Mami knocked on Nani's door and she asked her to enter and signalled her to sit down.

Mami smiled nervously and sat down as Nani's looked at her up and down and cringed seeing she hasn't changed and pitied his son who got trapped in this marriage with her and doesn't want to divorce her out of respect for her father.

"I will go straight to the point....... How did that woman get into this house and what is her relationship with Anjali? " Nani asked sternly.

"Hello hi bye bye....... She saved Anjali from some goons at the temple and the goons took that opportunity and stole her bag with all her money and credit cards....... Anjali then offered her a place to stay here until she lands on her feet. " Mami replied and Nani sighed.

"And my son...... What was his reaction to her living here? " Nani asked.

"Hello hi bye bye...... He was against it but Anjali begged him and he agreed....... But I do this like that woman....... She and her son are too suspicious. " Mami voiced out making Nani frown.

"What do you mean by they are suspicious? " Nani asked.

"The boy acts just like Arnav..... He eats like him, have the same expression like him when he is angry, he is also diabetic and like the same food like Arnav and finding out she was Arnav's girlfriend when he was in Harvard makes me think Aarav is Arnav's son. " Mami revealed shocking Nani.

"What nonsense? " Nani yelled out making Mami flinch and she stood up. "Arnav is not a loose man to go around sleeping with other women left alone getting someone pregnant...... Stop this nonsense and leave but make sure no one knows about this conversation understood." Nani warned and Mami nodded and run out of there leaving Nani lost in thought.

"No...... There is more to this because my grandson can never birth another child outside especially knowing what he has gone through, he would never have a child and abandon him...... I have to investigate this woman because her closeness to Anjali and her blind trust in people would cause problems in Arnav and Khushi's life and I can't let that happen....... My grandson is finally happy after soo many years and I won't let anyone spoil that not even Anjali even if it means disowning permanently then so be it because I trust my chote. " Nani thought and she felt hold her chin and she looked up to find Arnav looking at her confused.

He pulled the center table closer to Nani and sat on it.

"Where are you lost Nani? " Arnav asked and rubbed her cheeks and Nani smiled and held his hand and kissed it. "I arrived a few minutes ago and kept on calling you but you were lost in thought...... What's bothering you or who is bothering you. " Arnav asked getting angry and Nani smiled.

"Come down tiger....... I was just thinking about how the chote I lost years ago is finally back and I will always pray he never goes back to that emotionless man you use to be. " Nani replied.

"Khushi thought me it was Okay to love again and I will never forget it....... She is my life and my love Nani and no one will take her away from me. " Arnav said and Nani smiled at him.

"Arnav." A voice called out and Arnav smiled and stood up and Nani turned to find Arnav and Khushi hugging with a hug smile on their faces.

"I would make sure no one breaks this love and Aman will be the one to give me all the answers. " Nani thought and her thought was broken by Payal's voice who called out to Manohar.

Nani turned and saw his son moving down the stairs in a devastated state.

Everyone rushed up to him and helped him to the couch.

"Papa what's wrong......... Are you okay? " Aka she asked in concern.

"I let her live with me all this year's and even fought with maa when she wanted me to divorce her but I refused........ I knew she was an opportunist and gold digger but I never thought she would do this to me after everything I gave her. " Manohar cried out in a hurt and cracking voice making all of the confused.

"Son..... What are you talking about? " Nani asked afraid and concerned for this broken state.

He raised his hand and handed a couple of papers to Akash and he and Arnav read it and were shocked by it content.

"Akash...... Bhai..... What is it? " PayPal asked.

"Mami took out a life insurance policies on uncle. " Arnav revealed shocking all of them. "Not only that one of the files states that uncle's wealth will belong to her completely after his death. "

Nani slammed on the couch in shock at what she just heard.

"And that coward hide them in my files which I was supposed to sign today for my business thinking I don't read through all my files that needs my signature before signing them. " Manohar said in anger. "Her father saved my life and died begging me to marry her and I did and gave her everything and she was planning this behind my back and wanted to profit of my death...... What kind of a sick woman is she. " Manohar voiced out hurt my the revelation.

"She is a kind of woman who will kill for money. " A voice said from behind and Manohar looked at his good friend and personal doctor in shock while the other looked confused.

Manohar stood up and he moved closer to him.

"Mohit...... What are you doing here? " Manohar asked him and he placed his hand on his shoulder and asked him to sit down.

"Maa..... Everyone... This is my good friend Dr Mohit Malhotra and my personal doctor. " Manohar introduced and he shook everyone's hand and asked all of them to sit down.

"Manohar....... I found out why you have been sick all this week's and it's not because of old age or stress like we thought but it becomes you have been consuming a lethal poison which could have killed you and give undetected after you die and we were able to find out about it because of a new technology recently bought for the hospital and if not because of that we wouldn't have been able to detect it. " Mohit said and everyone gasped in shock. "I don't want to point fingers but from the conversation I heard....... I think your wife is involved in this. "

Akash and Arnav were fuming in anger as Payal and Khushi were consoling a crying Nani as Manohar sat in shock.

Akash fished out his phone and what everyone heard him say made them satisfied because she doesn't deserve to be left alone.

All this while they were oblivious of a pair of eyes and ears which had heard everything and run out of there in panic.

After an hour HP came down with Khushi and Payal and multiple suitcases and pulled it towards the others in the hall.

"Manohar there is a treatment to get the poison out of your system thanks to Mohit........ Please leave to the hospital now and chote and Akash would handle her." Nani begged but he refused.

"I would only be satisfied and at peace seeing her arrested. " Manohar said and Nani sighed knowing he wouldn't listen as he looked at the police standing in the hall with them.

A few seconds later Mami entered holding multiple shopping bags and breathing hysterically making everyone throw a disgusted look at her.

She looked up to find everyone looking at her in disgust which confused her.

Nani stood up and marched up to her and slapped her making her drop the bag.

She slapped her again and again.

"You witch...... After everything we did for you you still try to kill my son. " She yelled at Mami who looked shocked. "Arrest now and give her the worst of all punishment. " Nani commanded and the police women cuffed Mami who stood numb with shock. "You tried to poison and kill my son but today you have been exposed because he found the documents you hid in his files and I promise you, I won't let you live in peace........ Now take her away. "

The police then dragged a silent Mami away and everyone watched on.

Anjali stood at the top watching everything unfold and nervously biting her fingers.

"I have to see Mami because if the find out I was the one who encouraged her to do it then I will also be arrested as a suspect...... I have to do something now and fast. " Anjali thought and moved away from there.
