"How's your food, Eva?" Tristan asks as they are finishing their dinner.

Eva smirks at Tristan, "The food's fine, it's the stares that are more than a little discomfiting."

Tristan sighs, "I know. I tried to warn you. It could be worse though-" before Tristan can finish his sentence they are interrupted.

"Wederer, long time no see." The man rudely interrupts.

"Carnsworth, as rude as ever." Tristan replies smirking. The man stiffens at the affront.

Carnsworth decides to ignore the cold reception and turns to Eva, "My name is Delwin Carnsworth." He holds his hand out to Eva.

Eva looks to Tristan to see if she should accept or ignore the man. Tristan gives her a minute nod so she takes the man's hand. "My girlfriend, Eva Chesterton. Eva, Delwin Carnsworth is one of my competitors in the software sector."

"The main competition you could say. One quarter he's on top, the next I am." Delwin is so busy undressing Eva that he doesn't see the dangerous glint come into Tristan's eyes at the disrespect he's showing Eva.

Nor does he see the disgust in Eva's eyes as she takes her hand back and wipes it on her napkin.

"Is there a reason you interrupted my date, Carnsworth or did you just want to be your normally rude self?" Tristan allows a dangerous edge enter into his voice letting that warn the man that he's treading on dangerous ground.

Delwin ignores the warning and continues to stare at Eva's boobs. "No, I just wanted to meet the most beautiful woman in the room."

Tristan smirks, "Yes, she is, isn't she? But you really shouldn't say things like that when you are with your fiancee."

Delwin still hasn't removed his eyes from Eva's decolletage. Eva sneers at the man in front of her. She fingers her glass in front of her debating if she should throw it on the man in front of her.

Just as she grabs hold of it Tristan grabs hold of her wrist and gives a little shake of his head when Eva looks at him. Eva pouts a bit but nods and instead of throwing the water on to the pervert she takes a drink.

Just as she's about to swallow, "You should get rid of Wederer and come with me. We can have some fun tonight." Eva can't help herself and sprays the water all over the obnoxious man in front of her before she starts peeling out in laughter.

The three don't notice the approach of the two females to their table. Eva finally gets herself under control as Tristan tosses Delwin his napkin to help him clean up. Tristan is fighting his own laughter and also anger at the daring insult Delwin just tossed down.

"As if I would ever consider going with a two timing man whore over Tristan." Eva smiles lovingly at Tristan. "At least I know that he doesn't have a fiancee he's hiding from while making or trying to make dates with another female." Eva noticed the females standing behind Delwin. She assumed that the younger one is his fiancee and the older one either his mother or prospective mother-in-law.

"Oh, Alisia won't mind. And you are wrong about Wederer, you know? Tristan is an even bigger man whore than I am." Delwin says more than a little angrily.

Eva shakes her head, "No, he hasn't even looked at other females since he started dating me. Not only are you looking you are coming over to talk to me with your fiancee here watching."

Delwin snorts in derision, "Just because he doesn't show you doesn't mean that he isn't cheating. You are very much mistaken if you think he's been faithful to you."

Eva leans forward, "Oh, I know he has. He spends every minute he can with me. Puts off business to be with me. Reassigns meetings with others so that he can be with me. He's even cut short business trips to be with me. He works from home the majority of the time and asks that I join him while I work on my classes.

"You have been staring at me lecherously and ignoring Tris and you really shouldn't do that." Eva says then sits back up.

Only then does Delwin look at Tristan and notices the anger in his eyes. He steps back and runs into the females that have been standing there for the last five minutes.

"Alisia, mom, how long have you been standing there?" Delwin asks nervously.

Alisia smiles coldly, "Long enough, Delwin. Long enough to know that you haven't changed a bit. I'm sorry Mrs. Carnsworth, but I won't accept a marriage where my husband insults me in front of everyone by trying to pick up women in front of me."

"Yes, I don't blame you. Come, let's go. We'll go over the wedding plans and see what can be reimbursed. Delwin will pay back everything that can't be returned." The two females glower at Delwin before turning their backs on him and leaving.

"Shit!" Delwin says before taking off after them.

"Well, that was interesting. If you are ready we will be able to settle at the fight before hand if we go now." Tristan says and Eva nods, she's still more than a little angry that that perv was trying to come between her and Tristan.

Once they are outside Tristan stops her. "You know what he said would have been true before I met you. But since then I have been faithful."

Eva gives Tristan a smile, "Oh, yes, I know that, both parts. I also know that if you were still like that I wouldn't still be here. Don't worry, Tristan. I know you have been faithful to me and it was just Delwin's attempt to get me away from you."

Tristan pulls her into his arms and just holds her while they wait for their car to pull up. "I don't know what I would do without you, Eva."

"Then don't betray me, Tristan, or you will find out." Eva says as she hugs him back.

"I wouldn't dare. You hide it well, but you have one scary ass side, don't you?"

Eva gives him a sad look as she enters the door that is being held open for her. "Yes, it's one that I've had to develop to save myself. Remember, Cain doesn't even really have a clue as to how many men I've killed."

There have been times when Eva has given him chills, but in that moment Tristan honestly believes that if Eva ever decided that he needed to be killed she would do it and not lose any sleep over it. Yet even that thought doesn't make him want to distance himself from her. It attracts him to her even more strongly. Perhaps she will be more like a black widow. Whatever, it doesn't matter to Tristan, only she does.

Now if Lassiter can concentrate on the fight and not be distracted by the fight he had with Eva earlier. Tristan knows that Lassiter would have taken the comment Eva made about him not being her brother to heart. It would have hurt him a great deal. Perhaps even enough to distract him from the fight.
