"Mikoshiba-kun?" Miho and her friend Kimiko bat their lashes at my original roommate.

"What's up?" Mei-chan asks, arms linked with Ami-chan as she walks.

"We were wondering if we could try out for the girls team." Kimiko blurts.

"Sure." Mei-chan shrugs. "Why not?"

"But aren't you the Captain?" Miho queries.

"The only people in my way are my loyal bitches; Ami-chan, do you have any problems with Miho and Kimiko trying out for the girls team?" Mei-chan asks her best friend.

"None at all, I'm grateful for any new members!" Ami-chan enthuses.

"Aoi-chan, are you okay with Kimiko and Miho trying out for the girls team?" Mei-chan asks.

"Totally! Good luck!" I enthuse from my place, walking beside Nito'.

"You know, I want to specialise in two strokes! You do! Rin-senpai does, Yamazaki-senpai does, Sei'-san did!" Nito' states.

"But breaststroke!" I protest. "Are you SURE?"

"Why not?" he shrugs.

"The build for a breastsroke swimmer differs from that of a backstroke or butterfly swimmer. You need stregnth built up in different parts of your body." I explain.

"I know." he nods. "But Hazuki-kun has the same sort of build as me."

"Nagisa's only swam breaststroke since he was in like the fifth grade." I grin, nudging him.

"You can't tell physically." Mei-chan interjects despite still being dep in conversation with Miho, Kimiko and Ami-chan.

"He eats A LOT, I should know; there are never any good sweets at home when he's around. He's around A LOT." I state.

"Of course he is." Ami-chan laughs. "Rei and Nagisa are always together."

"Well of course they are." I laugh.

"Let's get to the pool then, Kimko, Miho, if you would like to try out today we can reserve you a lane." Mei-chan offers.

"Awesome!" the two brunettes enthuse. Miho's emerald green eyes sparkle as she and Kimiko squeel.

We rush to the pool because Mei said she had an announcement to make.

Miho and Kimiko said they would stop by ready to go in about an hour; meaning there would still be half an hour left of actual necessary practice. Most of us; especially Nito' have been staying for the extra available time; half an hour extra can do great things, even if the swim is not intense.

"Hey girlies!" Mei-chan beams. "It's going to be a good day, today we are inviting two more second year girls to try out for our team! Endo Miho and Hara Kimiko."

"Mi-chan and Kimi-chan!" the second year transfers, Arai Chika exclaims.

"Awesome!" her friend Chiba Moriko enthuses. The four room together apparently so they've become friends quickly upon the two second year swimmers.

"You may continue to train for the events you desire to partake in for perfecturals.Three, four or five swimmers per lane. Group up."

"Hai!" the girls nod.

Hikari joins Mei-chan, Ami-chan and I while Mori-kun goes with Kuruno-kun, Arai Chika and Chiba Moriko.

We swim a few legnths, timing eachother. My butterfly's quite strong now. Mauybe sometoime I could get Rin, who holds the record for butterfly at 100m and 200m here or Sousuke, who has been scouted already according to Rin, to give me some pointers.

"I'm thinking of asking the third years for pointers." I blurt.

"You mean Rin and Sousuke?" Mei-chan asks. "If you get them to stay one night, let me know."

"Okay Mei-chan." I nod.

"That's a great idea. I might ask them for tips for freestyle sometime." Hikari nods.

"Hey." Ami-chan stops at the wall.

"You were like a second off of your personal best Ami-chan." Jikari states.

"Damn." the redhead pouts.

"Hey, are we going to do this relay?" Mei-chan asks. "Like at perrfecturals; are we going to participate in the girls medley relay...together?"

"Yes! I loved it!" Ami-chan enthuses.

"Great idea Mei-chan." Hikari nods.

"I'm in!" I beam.

"Awesome! We should practise!" Mei-chan nods.

"Aoi-chan, you're on backstroke." I nod at the obvious statement, getting in the pool and holding onto the bar.

"Go!" Mei-chan enthuses.

Cue the start of a relay team being born.

We did about two relay practises and then just practised exchanges.

It's almost time for Kimko and Miho to arrive.

Mei-chan bows her whistle, the girls team, make their way out of the pool.

"I wanted to let you all know that we are to be getting ideas as to what events we shall be participating in for perfectionals. Of course, I will be swimming long distance butterfly. Does anybody else have any ideas?" Mei-chan states.

"I'm on the 50 and the 100m girls breast!" Ami-chan grins. "It's not like only one teammate can participate in one event, we'll just be situated in different heats!"

"That's right!" Mei-chan nods. "Aoi-chan?"

"200m backstroke and 200m butterfly please Mei-chan." I grin.

"Done!" she nods.

"Ehh!" one of the first years gasps. "You specialise in TWO strokes!"

"Yes. I'm getting my butterfly back up to standard and also training for backstroke." I reply.

"Woahh!" another muses.

"Hika'-chan?" Mei-chan asks.

"100m and either the 50 or the 200m freestyle." the green haired girl nods.

"Done!" Mei-chan nods. "Oi, Kaito, hand me the clipboard over by Rin."

"Hai!" the brunet jogs over and hands my roommate the gold coloured cliboard with the portland orange gel pen clipped to it.

"Thanks Kaito." Mei grins.

"You staying tonight?" Ami-chan asks.

"I might, but we have a test coming up!" Kaito huffs.

"Kaito that's in a week!" Hinata laughs.

"Chill for half an hour and go to dinnr with a towel on your head, nobody minds. We are the school's lifeline!" Sho grins.

"They're right Kaito, and it's an English test, we just need to listen to Fubuki for about two hours and we'll ace it!" Tanaka-san adds.

"If you're doing a English crash session before the test, make room for us!" Hika-chan calls.

"Got it!" Hinata winks.

"Does Fubuki even know what you're planning to do?" I cock a brow.

"NOPE!" Sho laughs.

"I think he might now, here he comes." Mei-chan waves.

"Hello." Kuruno-kun snaps. "Stop getting distracted. You guys are meant to be our leaders! And you end up talking to the boys on the main team! What is wrong with you people! You don't deserve your spots."

"SORRY?" Mei-chan cocks a brow.

"Mei?" she spins on her heel.

"SEI'!" my original roommate exclaims.

"Sei?" Momo gasps.

"Over here Sei'!" Mei-chan waves.

"Ahh there you are Mei. You asked me here?" he asks.

"Actually I did. I know Mei-chan's password." AMi-chan laughs.

"I would have come either way Ami." Sei'-san shakes his head at his might as well be sister.

"Gomen." she hangs her head.

"AGAIN WITH THE DISTRACTIONS!" Kuruno-kun exclaims angrilly.

"Shut up Kuruno-kun." Hikari hisses.

"What you going to do fatty? Eat me?" Hikari's face crumples.

"How could you SAY THAT!" Mori Aka shouts at Kuruno-kun.

"Well, I guess thinks could have been worse." Hikari glares at my sharper roommates.

"You're so stupid! How did a blob like you qualify for a scholarship. Oh yeah, FAT FLOATS!" Kuruno-kun shouts.

"You did not just say that!" Ami-chan snarls.

"Ami-chan!" Mei-chan takes hold of her best friend's arm.

"Ami!" Sei'-san chides.

"Nope. Not dealling with this skellital bitch today." Hikari walks away, Mori-kun at her heels.

"YEAH YOU'RE A STUPID FAT LOAD AND THE ONLY REASON PEOPLE LIKE YOU IS SO THEY CAN BE ON YOUR GOOD SIDE SO YOU DON'T FUCKING EAT THEM!" Kuruno-kun shrieks.

"What is going ON HERE?" Rin storms over.

"Ahh, hello Matsuoka." Sei'-san greets.

"Captain." Rin nods before turning to Kuruno-kun. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?"

"Nothing Captain Matsuoka." she smiles sweetly.

"Seriously." he rolls his eyes. "Ami, go get Midori and Mori, they'll explain."

"Hai." she nods, following her friends from her school in Tokyo.

"Kuruno-kun that was unfair!" Mei-chan states.

"What I said needed to be said. You're not being a captain. You're being a chatty. Bossy. Stuck up. Biased. Wannabe laeder!"

"EHHH!" Mei-chan clenches her fist.

"Mei-chan." I try to sooth her, when my attempts on't work I lance pleadingly at Sei'.

"Mikoshiba-chan? We're here to try out!" Kimiko calls.

"Great!" she forces a smile. "You can warm up and get ready to use that lane there." she points to the lane in which we were training in before Kuruno-kun started this problem.

"Awesome!" Miho grins.

"Sei'..." Mei-chan trails off. "Why did Ami-chan have you come here?"

"She said you guys might need some pep talking since it's almost time to sign up for events at perfecturals." her older brother states.

"NII-SAN!" Momo makes his way over.

"Momo." Sei' ruffles his brother's hair.

"Momo, we're in the middle of Captain-y stuff." Mei-chan looks strained.

"Gomen. Hey Nii-san can you watch me after please please PLEASE!" Momo pulls his oldest sibling's arm.

"Yeah, I'll watch you." Sei'-san smiles fondly at the enthusiastic youngest Mikoshiba.

"KYAHH!" Momo skips back toward his lane.

"Well, Ami-chan, Mori-kun and Hika-chan are gone." Mei-chan's brows furrow.

"I can stop by on another day." Sei'-san offers.

"Could you? Just not... OI HINATA!"

"Here we go again."

"Kuruno-kun, this is still our education!" I chide.

"You don't need that good of an education to become an Olympian, you just need to make the team." Kuruno-kun rolls her eyes.

"Yeah Mei?" Hinata replies.

"What day are we doing the crash English thing?" she asks the blond.

"Err, let's make it a tad more of a social yet English thing, so let's go to the ice cream parlour just outside of Iwatobi on Friday for it, sound good to you Kenta?"

"Sound good? That ice cream parlour is awesome!" Tanaka Kenta nods his head furiously.

"Sho?" Hinata asks.

"Definately." the bespecticaled russet haired boy nods.

"Oi! Nito', you wanna revise English at the ice cream parlour?"

"Do you even have to ask!" Nito' laughs.

"Kai'?"

"...Mmm." Kaito still doesn't like crowds.

"We can book a whole bar." Ami-chan suggests, from the doorway; clealy having caught onto what Kaito was so nervous about.

"Sounds awesome!" Hinata grins.

"Perfect. Mei-chan nods.

"That much faff was unnecessary." Juruno-kun states sourly.

"Not Friday then Sei." Mei-chan states.

"Okay." he nods. "Call me when you're going to want me over here. You or your vices." he leaves to watch Momo swim.

"Disband!" Mei-chan orders, going over to Miho and Kimiko.

"Okay girls, to get on the team you have to beat the Samezuka standard." Mei-chan states.

"You will swim 100m, timed and we would recomend using your best stroke." I add.

"Good luck." Ami-chan smiles.

Miho gets on the starting block, wobbly since it's wet.

"GO!" Mei-chan shouts.
