2. The Ball
"Introducing princess Emma Elise Anderson, soon to be queen!"
All eyes are on me as me and my father enter the doors, arms linked. His tie was gold and his under shirt was burgundy which matched my outfit perfectly.
Everyone stared as I walked into the centre of the room. Different people started talking to my father and I soon made my way around to some of the other guests.
I realize everyone from the kingdom is in here, the people flood out into the dining room which as double the amount of tables there normally are. There are even commoners here.
Everyone greets me and my eyes link with a guy who looks like a commoner. He hasn't shaved much obviously and his hair looks like it hasn't been brushed but is slicked back. He's wearing a suit that looks run down and like it hasn't been worn in years. I feel this pull that makes me want to go over there. I can hear my wolf nagging me and I can already tell there's something special about this person.
My feet pull me over to the table he's standing at with all the food. I can feel his eyes burning into me as I walk and say hi to a few people. I think he realized I was walking over to him because his posture straightened and his eyes twinkled as they stared at me. My stomach felt like it was flipping inside of me and my wolf was getting excited.
As I got closer I could feel everyone looking at me as I walked to the man. Some people started whispering and I just looked up and linked eyes with him. His eyes sparkled in the light and they were a blue colour.
I stopped as I was in front of him and I realized how much taller he was than me, and I was wearing heels. He stared into my eyes and bowed as I stopped.
"Your majesty." He bowed and then my dad interrupted our encounter.
"Excuse me but the prince would like the first dance." My dad had said slightly glaring at the boy. Weird. I nod my head a sad smile plastered on my face as I look at the boy. He looks sad as I walked further away and a new boy was stood in front of me.
"Prince Edward, your majesty" the blonde haired boy in front of me said. I smiled sadly and curtsied. "Your highness."
"May I have this dance?" I nod and we walk into the middle of the floor and we start dancing. I can feel my wolf whine as I see the boy I was just face to face to glaring daggers at the man now holding my waist.
We let the song move us but it just didn't feel right dancing with him. We made small talk and as the song ended I excused myself. Only to have my arm be grabbed by him turning me back around.
"Will you go to dinner with me tomorrow?" Edward asked, obviously nervous. I knew it would make my dad happy so I agreed and then walked to get some food. I walk back to the table to see the mysterious man I had seen earlier. He's there but this time he isn't alone but with a girl, around the same height as him, just a bit smaller. She had red hair that fell to her waist and was wearing a blue short dress. I felt my heart hurt and my wolf whine as they laughed.
Standing beside them I grabbed a few things off the table and said hi to a few people but I just wanted him to notice me. Suddenly I feel a hand on my shoulder send tingles down my arm. I felt myself shiver and turned around and found myself almost an inch away from the mysterious boy I wanted to notice me.
"Hello princess," the mysterious boy whispered. He took my hand and kissed it making me blush.
"And what may I call you?" I ask, looking up into his beautiful eyes.
"Jason, Jason Ross." He smirked. "May I dance with you?"
"Of course," I smiled as his arm wrapped around my waist and it felt like we fit perfectly together. I never wanted this moment to end. We twisted and turned and we both started asking each other questions. Just simple ones like what our favourite colours were and other things.
After at least an hour they called everyone for food and we all seated to eat. My father and I both sat at the table on the front while everyone else sat at the two other tables. My eyes scanned for Jason when I finally found him, he was sat the the few miniature tables set aside for the commoners which were scattered around the dining room and ballroom. Our eyes linked and he smirked at me. I blushed and continued eating and waited till everyone was done. When the night was almost done it was finally time to leave. I was saying goodbye to people as I saw Jason by the doors. As if about to exit. I excused myself from the people I was talking to.
I sped walk my way towards the doors and as I noticed he was leaving I picked up my dress and made a run for it. I could hear my father calling for me as I grabbed Jason's arms. He looked back and smirked.
"Miss me?" He joked and looked at my hand on his. I felt the butterflies in my stomach and smiled. "Come with me."
"W-what?" He stuttered shocked. "Where are we going?"
"Somewhere," I giggled.
I grabbed his hands and walked out the ballroom doors and down the opposite way the people were walking. We walked out the glass doors and into the garden where there were beautiful benches and lights hanging in the tree. This was my favourite place. I don't know why I brought him here but there was something about him, it was different. I could feel my wolf whining out for him and his touch once again.
Then it hit me.
Jason was my mate.

Hello everyone! I'm so excited to be writing this story and I hope you all like it. I'm sorry if you think it's moving too fast but it's going to be a short story since I have trouble finishing stories in the first place! I'm trying to keep it short but it may drag on because I have too many ideas going through my head ahahah, or I'll make a second book!
