....
Misha took a seat in the open area because the weather was beautiful. It was cloudy and there was a light breeze going on. Zoya and Rubab also took seats as they contemplated on what to order and then called the waiter. Misha asked what Zoya and Rubab wanted and then decided to order for all them of them.
"Yes, we would like a grilled Moroccan chicken with mashed potatoes, a Fettuccini Alfredo pasta but don't add olives and keep the spice level very high and lastly, a tarragon chicken with fries. For drinks, I would like a fresh lime, a Pina Colada and a coke." Misha smiled up at the waiter as she handed him the menu and he left after confirming the order. Once he was gone, their rant sessions had been activated.
"I can't believe the exams are finally over. I am so traumatized I feel like we have some paper tomorrow as well. I still can't get around this feeling at all." Rubab sighed holding her head and Misha and Zoya laughed at her actions.
"I know right? It feel so surreal. What are your future plans now? Who is applying for Alevels?" Zoya added.
"I honestly don't know. My parents are cool with me pursuing architecture or fashion designing so probably that. I think I will study Arts in the Beaconhouse Garden Town or Johar Town branch for Alevels since it's pretty close to my place. But I have heard the Defence Campus is lit as well." Misha thought for a few seconds before answering Zoya.
"I am aiming to become a doctor so I think I will go for F.Sc. from Kinnaird College. What about you, Zoya? Also, judging from how over protective your brothers are, Misha, they will let you go to co-ed now?" Rubab replied while frowning at Misha's response.
"Rubab has a valid point there. Misha's brothers are going to go crazy accepting the fact that their precious little sister is going to go to a co-ed school. I mean they will probably visualize it as sending a sheep to the den of lions." Zoya laughed as she looked up from her phone. "Also, my father wants me to do Law so I will probably be doing that. I haven't decided where to from though."
"Trust me, they are so against it but one of my dad's friends is a teacher in Garden Town campus so he vouched for the academics there which convinced my dad and mom to let me have a go at co-ed plus I have to go to a co-ed for university anyway so might as well go to one right now." Misha exclaimed while shrugging her shoulders. She really didn't see the harm in it. It's not like she will be the only girl in Alevels but it was a little hard to come around to the idea of studying with boys because she had studied in an all-girls school all her life.
Rubab had a family of doctors with her father being a gastroenterologist and her mother being a gynecologist whereas her older sister, Vanya who was studying to become a dermatologist so Misha and Zoya had seen that coming plus Rubab was the smartest one from among the three of them and usually aced all her grades so it was pretty believable for her to become a doctor. Even Rubab's younger brother, Sohail, was told from a young age to become a doctor.
Meanwhile, Zoya was the most laid back and spoilt one among them with her father being a high court judge with a lot of power and her mother being a socialite and fashion designer. She had two older brothers, one was a friend of Humayun, Shahzaib, aged 20 who had just started studying Business Management whereas the other was 25, Aqib who was completing his degree to become a chartered accountant.
"Oh well, enough about future plans, guess what happened two days ago? I wanted to tell you guys on the group chat but we had exams so I wanted to save this for later." The way Zoya's eyes were glowing only meant one thing. Boys. Misha and Rubab shared a look before listening to her attentively. She had the most happening life among them with Rubab having absolutely no interest in boys or love in general and Zoya being the complete opposite, always getting into some weird drama that they loved listening to. But Zoya was smart, she knew how to get out of the mess she would get into and she never tried to force either of them in it either because she knew their families were very conservative. Zoya started narrating her story that the two of them listened to with full attention.
They were completely oblivious to the three figures that entered the restaurant and eyed them with an intensity. Ibraheem was staring at Misha laughing about something Zoya was saying while she made random expressions to add life to her story whereas Rubab just rolled her eyes at her stupidity. Ibraheem looked at Fahad and Kamran before nodding and they started to walk towards their table. They were releasing an aura of pure danger and a force that should not be messed with as they stopped right beside their tables. Zoya was the first to stop because she noticed Ibraheem standing right behind Misha's seat with Fahad on his right and Kamran on his left.
"Hey, Misha, isn't that-"Before Zoya could even finish her sentence, Ibraheem took an empty seat next to Misha and gave her a long menacing look. Misha was left dumbstruck. She inhaled sharply but no words were coming out. Ibraheem observed her panicking with an amusement.
"Hello, Misha. How did your exams go?" The words rolled smoothly off but the underlying tone sent a shiver down Misha's spine. This can't be happening, is this a hallucination? Am I imagining him? "Relax, I am right here." Ibraheem answered as if he could read Misha's thoughts. Zoya was the first one to speak. She had noticed the look of absolute terror on Misha's face and knew she had to do something plus having guy friends herself, she could tell the good from the bad and right now, all she was getting were bad, bad vibes from the guy who was looking quite intensely at a panicking Misha.
"Hey! Who are you and why-"Zoya was slowly rising from her seat to cause a scene but stopped dead in her tracks when her eyes landed on the pistol that Kamran so casually took out from the waistband of his pants and put it on the table. He then dared her with his eyes to say any more words. She gulped as she slowly sat down again.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you. Let's have a fun conversation, yes? How about the two of you keep us company at the other table while we leave the love birds to talk about their personal matters." Fahad announced with a huge grin plastered on his face as he looked at Zoya and Rubab with mischievous eyes. Zoya and Rubab looked at Misha who was still looking at Ibraheem in mortification but slowly accepted the reality of the situation. She then visibly calmed down before answering.
"You guys, go ahead. I will be fine. This won't take long. Trust me." Misha's voice was shaking but she tried her best to give a reassuring smile to Zoya and Rubab. The two of them looked at the pistol on the table and gulped before deciding to step away from the table. Fahad picked up the pistol and handed it to Kamran before he started to walk to another direction.
"Good girls, come, sit with us. Let's get to know each other." Fahad gave a sinister smirk as he sat on a table at a little distance from where they had left Misha and Ibraheem now. The people in the restaurant had seen everything including the pistol and so everyone was terrified. They knew not to make any mistakes that could possibly cause them damage. Even the restaurant staff knew what was happening, it was an uncommon sight but not one that was not impossible so they remained silent because Fahad had given them a brief introduction of their selves before making an entrance.
Once, the two of them were left alone, Ibraheem continued to stare deeply at Misha.
"What do you want from me?" Misha questioned as she finally looked at him partially terrified, partially annoyed.
"Tell me, Misha, why did you lie to me?" Ibraheem's tone was cold and it made Misha's heart beat faster.
"What are you talking about?" She couldn't think of when she had lied to him, or maybe the panic wasn't letting her.
"Are you still going to feign ignorance?" His voice had gotten icier. "I thought we were building trust, you see, I don't understand what you were going to do with an extra fourteen days. Plan an escape from me or something?" That is when realization dawned on Misha. She had no excuse for lying to him about the last date of her exams.
"What's the big deal with that?" Misha said the words before she could stop herself.
"No, you don't understand, do you? If you lied to me about this, I started to wonder what else did you lie to me about." Ibraheem said thoughtfully. "Here I was waiting patiently, even giving you space so you could study seriously and you went and misused my kindness like that." Misha had no words to say to him now, she knew an apology wouldn't cut it and he had come to insult her for lying to him.
"I am leaving." Misha said as she slowly rose up.
"Sit down." Ibraheem gave her a deathly stare as he took out his own gun and looked up at her. "I am not done talking yet."
"I don't want to talk to you." Misha's words were starting to anger an already very angry Ibraheem. Nobody refused him. Nobody unless they were asking for it. Right now, all Misha could think about was the safety of her friends and herself. She needed to get out of here.
"Last chance Misha, don't make me angry." Ibraheem warned and Misha gulped before she finally sat down. She could listen to him and then leave. That was better. When she remained silent and kept looking down, Ibraheem got even more agitated.
"So here is the deal, you are coming with me, rightnow."
