{ A/N: THIS IS A FILLER CHAPTER ! It is the story of Taehyun' pureblooded family.}

This is long before  the Monzara, Institute Of The Arcane was formed...

Kang Iseul was a gifted girl. This stemming from her pureblood status. As an only child she was raised alone, but was glad she had many friends she considered family. Her friends ranged from other purebloods, those with no magical ability, & those even thought to have a Reverse Defection before such disability was established.

Iseul sat with her mother in their garden. Her mother was all she had. Iseul' father abandoned his responsibilities once he realized his life would forever be changed by a child. He somewhat isn't heavily involved in their lives since his family weren't keen on upsetting a pureblood family even more. So Kang Iseul wasn't considered his legitimate child in the eyes of his family, but allowed to keep the surname of her absentee father.

"아버지에 대해 생각하고 계시죠? 이슬아, 그게 당신을 괴롭히는 건가요?" (You are thinking about your father, right ?  Is that what is bothering you, Iseul ah ?), Her mother asked making a flower crown calmly for her daughter. Her unnatural purple eyes settled on her daughter who seemed conflicted. "I want to meet Dad & his family. I want to understand why they don't want to accept me." Her mother absolutely disliked talking about such matters, but Iseul is entitled to how she felt.

"I can't keep feeling as if I am suffering for no reason, Mom. All of my friends have both their parents either married or divorced." Iseul teared up, "왜 아버지가 없어야 하죠? 아빠는 왜 나를 원하지 않나요?" (Why must I not have a father ? Why does Dad not want me ?) Her mother had no way of comforting her. Iseul' mind was made up. She'd confront her father' family on why they choose to ignore her.

Her mother ended up driving her to meet her father' family. Iseul said she could handle it alone, & asked her mother to wait down the block at a cafe for her. Iseul let a single knock on the door ring out before it was opened. Her grandmother looked downright terrified. Thus, fainting upon seeing Iseul.

Next her grandfather rushed to his wife' side, but had no reaction. He simply helped his wife up. Her father is the on who finally acknowledged her. "Why are you here, Iseul ah ? Is something wrong ?" Iseul didn't want to get emotional. The last things she wanted was for them to see how hurt she was. "We need to talk. May I come in ?" He father hesitated. Iseul showing up here was completely spontaneous. 

He eventually let her in after some desperate begging. Her grandparents avoided eye contact. So this left her father with having to explain. "Why ? Why do none of you accept me ?", she asked wholeheartedly. Why did her father' family choose to ignore her existence ? "당신이 좋아할 만한 대답이 없다는 걸 이해해야 해요, 이슬라. 당신 잘못이 아니에요." (You have to understand there is no answer that you'll like, Iseul ah. It isn't your fault.) Iseul noticed how everyone stared at her. Her unnatural eyes drawing most of the attention in the room. 

"Is it because I am a pureblood ? You don't want to anger a pureblooded family..." Her father didn't answer before unfortunately his father interjected, "이봐요! 당신이 내 아들의 인생을 망칠 뻔 했어요! 그래서 당신은 합법적인 아이가 아니에요." (Hey ! You nearly ruined my son' life ! That is why you aren't a legitimate child.) Iseul without meaning too had used her ability. Before long she was in front of her mother again. Tears falling down her face. Her father ,& his family a bit confused Iseul as no longer in front of them. 

Iseul' mother ended up taking her home where she did her best in comforting her daughter. From then on it was a silent vow of Iseul' that she never wanted her future children to experience what she was in this moment. Family is everything...
