Chapter Two
Like Mother like Daughter ;P ^
Melody's P.O.V.
After meeting at the Café, the girls and I all headed to my house to re-watch the movies of our next adventure so that we would be prepared. We even made sure to figure out where we would appear and when, since it usually started us off from the middle of the movie.
I found out that I would be appearing at the moment King Triton turns me back into a Mermaid and I'm searching for my daughter, Melody (ironic, right?) right after she goes missing. I watched the rest from that point on. Cindy would be appearing right when Jacque and Gus Gus would be telling her about the spell Lady Tremaine cast over Prince Charming by stealing Fairy Godmother's wand to do it. I have a feeling she was going to be having a lot more trouble than me this time. Then again, there were also the newbies we had to figure out.
First off: Who did they go into the Disneyverse as?
I had asked my dad to look into any Missing Persons reports, and turns out, there were already two as of late last night. He immediately called up the parents and gave them his address so that we could meet them and gain information about who they are. Once the girls and I were done watching the movies, we all moved downstairs where we found a man and woman sitting on the love seat couch in the living room, and another plump man on the armchair as my dad served them coffee.
"Dad," I spoke up, and he glanced over at us. I gave him a solemn look and held up the letter. "We're ready."
My dad nodded and gestured for me and the girls to come sit with him as he introduced us to the adults, "This is Kazi and Meegan, their daughter Luna went missing when she didn't come home and her best friend said he hasn't seen her since last night." Kazi was rather scary-looking with his dark combed back hair and charcoal eyes while the woman beside him looked more cheerful with her fiery hair and bright blue eyes. Her hair reminded me of Belle's untameable lockes. "And this is Henry, his daughter Jazz went missing when she didn't show up for school yesterday morning." Henry was a sort of chubby man, but he was rather muscular around some parts, and his bright grey eyes just screamed 'friendly'.
Tia, Niall, Zelda, and Belle all sat down while Cindy and I remained standing. I nodded my head at the adults. "It's nice to meet you all. My name's Melody."
"And my name's Cindy. You don't need to worry about your daughters. We know where they are, but it's gonna be hard to reach them if we don't know them," Cindy explained, and all three adults jumped at the words 'we know where they are'.
"Where are our daughters then? Tell us so we can take them home," Kazi demanded, and I narrowed my eyes while crossing my arms.
"They're in the Disneyverse. It's the only explanation as to where they are since the same thing happened to us five three months ago," I gestured to the rest of my friends.
"What in the heck is that?" Henry asked with a frown.
Cindy stepped forward then, "Don't worry, my mom will be here soon to help explain things." The doorbell suddenly rang and Niall shot up to go answer it. We waited for whoever it was to enter as a woman with long brown hair and tears in her brown eyes entered the living room as Niall helped her into a chair.
My dad spoke up, "Girls, this is Mika. She just called in about her daughter Tasha missing when she didn't come inside the house last night."
I nodded, and quickly called for a Maid to bring down all of my Disney movies so that we could figure out who the girls would be. I spread out the movies on the coffee table, but handed Zelda, Tia, and Belle their own movies that they had gone into, and then held onto my own two movies along with Cindy and hers. Then we stepped back as my father began the questioning. "I know it sounds crazy at first, but you have to believe me when I say these girls have gone to Hell and back, and if I'm being honest, I don't want my little girl to go back, but I know she has no choice. And I take it yours didn't, either." Dad cleared his throat before pointing at each of the movies, both DVD and VHS alike, "If you could help us out, did your daughters happen to have a favorite Disney Princess in their childhood?"
Meegan was the first to speak. "Luna's friend Shane, he, well, he always called her 'Mulan', but we didn't really understand the joke between them since she would always call him 'Shang'. Does that help?"
The girls and I shared a frightened look. Looks like Luna was dealing with Huns.
"My little Jazz loved tigers when she was younger. But I can't remember anything of a Princess being involved, except--wait, there was one Princess she favored that had a pet tiger," Henry spoke up, a frown etched on his face.
And with Jazz, I guess it was Magic. Genie Magic, that is.
Mika sniffled and choked out through her sobs, "T-Tasha loved hummingbirds when she was a c-child. Her n-name was even the last t-three letters of her favorite P-Princess. P-Pocahontas."
And so was the war between the Pilgrims and the Indians. Oh, boy.
I sighed and placed my movies on the floor, before picking out each of the described Princess movies and handing them to the parents of the missing daughters. I smiled gently at them. "Watch these movies and see if you notice something different about them. Me and Cindy have to get going. We'll try to find your daughters after everything is over." I nodded at them and turned to my friend.
Cindy smiled and held up her letter in one hand, a pen held in the other. "Meet you back at the Well?"
I grinned, picking up a pen of my own and my letter in the other. "You can count on it."
We clasped each other's hands before marking the YES box on our invitations, and a silvery-white light glowed around Cindy as a deep sea green light covered my own body as a rush of water hit my ears, and I found myself standing on the boat where Ariel was waiting for her father to change her back into a Mermaid in order to search for her daughter throughout the Sea.
I hit the water and took off, flicking my green tail to go faster as I fingered my now red hair, before tossing it back. I smirked.
I'm ready for ya' this time. So bring it on.
