Chapter Three

Jazz's P.O.V.

I screamed and kicked with all my might at the giant Tiger that was looking at me with confusion in it's big bright golden eyes.  This can't be happening.  This cannot be happening!  This isn't real!  It has to be a dream!  It's all just a dream that I'm going to wake up from any moment now!  And now would be a good time to wake up!

The Tiger kept coming and I kept backing away from it until I was pressed against the wall.  I shut my eyes tight and waited for it to eat me alive when I felt it rub up against me instead and start to purr.  My eyes snapped open and I looked down at the Tiger as he peered up at me.

I slowly fell to my knees, and the Tiger rubbed his face against my own.  I cupped his furry face in my hands and looked deep into his eyes.  I frowned.  "I know you from somewhere," I mumbled as the Tiger purred once again, and I stood up quickly and went to look in the vanity mirror.  I gasped.

Princess Jasmine.  I was Princess Jasmine.

I can't believe it.  I was really a Princess.  I know every girl dreams of being a Princess and all, but still. . .it actually happened to me.  I was in the same outfit and even wore the same heavy earrings, the gold necklace, and the ribbons tying my now long dark hair into parts.  No more blonde hair and gray eyes.  I wasn't me anymore.

I plopped down onto the small stool and stared at the floor, before looking up at the Tiger once more.  "Rajah," I spoke up, drawing up the memory of his name, and the Tiger padded over to me as he set his head on my lap, as if sensing my distress.  I hesitantly lifted my hand before settling it on his forehead, stroking his fur as I sighed.  "This has to be a dream," I whispered, and shook my head.  "It can't be real."  Rajah gave me a weird look.  I cupped his furry face.  "Listen to me, Rajah.  I'm not Jasmine.  My real name is Jazz, and I honestly have no idea how I got here."  The Tiger frowned before leaning in and sniffing me carefully.  He growled then and I jumped away in fright.  "You believe me now?"  He nodded.

Hmm.  Smart Tiger.

"I don't know why I'm here or even how to get home."  Tears filled my eyes as I hugged my elbows tightly to me.  "Will you help me?"  Rajah nodded and purred once again while rubbing his head on my knee.  I smiled and stroked his fur gratefully.

"Jasmine."

I looked up and saw the Sultan, Jasmine's father, and shot to my feet.  Maybe he could help me get back home.  Or even Genie!  But then. . .wait, where's Aladdin?  "S-Sultan?" I mumbled, and slowly stepped forward.

"Jasmine.  I have chosen a husband for you."

My eyes widened.  What!?  I was too young to get married!  "What?" I voiced my confusion.  So it was this part of the movie.  I hated it.  Where was Aladdin?

"You will wed Jafar."  I gasped and stepped back, my actions no longer my own.

"You're speechless, I see."  Jafar reached out and took my small dainty hand in his large one.  "A fine quality in a wife."

I ripped my hand out of his.  "I will never marry you."  I turned to the Sultan, wondering what the heck I was saying.  These weren't my words.  "Father, I choose Prince Ali," I said while grasping the Sultan's shoulders.  He barely came up to my own shoulders.  Father?  Why would I call him father?

"Prince Ali left," Jafar spoke so casually, and I narrowed my eyes.  Liar.

"Better check your crystal ball again, Jafar."

I gasped, and spun around.  I grinned.  There he was.  Prince Ali.  He was just as cute as when I saw him in the movie.  "Prince Ali!" I cried, and Jafar gasped behind me.  That's right, Jafar.  You forget I know that you had him drowned and Genie saved him.  Then again, I wasn't me here.  I was Princess Jasmine of Agrabah.

"Tell 'em the truth, Jafar."  Prince Ali stalked up angrily to Jafar in his creamy-white clothes.  "You tried to have me killed!"

"What ridiculous nonsense, Your Highness," Jafar bluffed while moving to stand behind the Sultan, his snake staff's eyes glowing red.  "He's obviously lying."  Jafar then held the staff in front of the Sultan, hypnotizing him in the process.

"Obviously. . .lying," the Sultan muttered, and I tried shaking him out of the trance.

"Father!  What's wrong with you!?" I cried while shaking him, and Prince Ali stormed up to Jafar and snatched his staff out of his hands.

"I know what's wrong."  Then Prince Ali smashed the serpent staff on the floor, cracking the snake's face and breaking the hypnotizing trance the Sultan had been in.  "Your Highness, Jafar's been controlling you with this."  Prince Ali handed the now-broken staff to the Sultan.

The Sultan turned on Jafar and shouted for his Guards then as me, the Sultan, and Prince Ali cornered Jafar until the two Guards ran in and bound him, but he pulled out a small bottle and smashed it on the floor, saying to Prince Ali before he left, "This is not done yet, boy!"  And then he was gone.

My shoulders went slack.  Now we were in trouble.

Because I knew Jafar had seen the Lamp hidden in Aladdin's hat.
