Chapter One
Cindy's P.O.V.
I raced to the Park with the letter in my hand as my breath appeared in white puffs due to the cold temperature outside, and quickly ran into the small Café that me and my friends had agreed to meet at. I claimed a booth in the far back and shed my coat and hat before setting it down next to me, ordering myself a hot chocolate as I waited for the others to get here.
I sipped gingerly at my paid hot chocolate, when suddenly two bodies slid into the booth seat across from me, making me jump and nearly spill my drink. I glared up at Zelda and Belle as they giggled with one another. I rolled my eyes, but smiled at my two friends. Over the last few months, Zelda and Belle had gotten really close. Zelda even helped Belle to become more outgoing with her own peppy attitude, and in return, Belle helped Zelda search for her real parents. They haven't had any luck yet, but I'm sure something will come up eventually.
I felt someone slide in next to me, and looked over at Tia as her boyfriend Niall helped her shed her winter things, before sitting down beside her. I was now pressed against the wall, but I didn't mind. "Sorry, Niall insisted on coming along, saying he might be able to help out." My dark-skinned friend turned to me with a serious expression on her face. "So what's the S.O.S.?"
I sighed and reached into my coat pocket just as something slammed down on the table, and Melody sat beside Belle on the other side of the booth, pushing Zelda against the wall. I noticed her hair was wet, and I frowned. "What happened to you?"
"This happened," she pointed at the object she had thrown down, and we all peered down at it, before gasping all at once.
She got an invitation to the Disneyverse.
I gulped and placed my letter on the table next to hers as the others stared down at it. "You're not the only one."
Melody sagged down in her seat, before running a stressful hand through her brown hair. It had previously been dyed red, but then faded to orange until she had finally decided to scrub it all out due to her last experience in the Disneyverse as Ariel. "You guys didn't get an invitation?" Melody asked the other girls, and they all shook their heads, Niall placing a protective arm around his girlfriend's shoulders. She sighed in disappointment as I stared at both our letters. My thoughts started to go haywire.
Why are we the only two going back? What does this mean for us? For the others? I sighed and picked up the letter, before stuffing it back in my pocket. "So me and Mel are the only ones going back. Why, though?"
We thought on it for a while when Zelda suddenly squealed, and we all jumped at her reaction. "It's because of your movies!"
We all glanced at one another, before looking at her strangely. "What do you mean, Zel?" Belle asked her with a frown.
Zelda began explaining, "Since our past experiences were based off the movies of our favorite Princesses, 'Cinderella' and 'The Little Mermaid' are the only ones that have legitimate sequels."
My eyes widened before they narrowed dangerously. "But if I recall, the 'Cinderella' movie was made into three parts, and I know it can't be part two because it doesn't revolve all around me, but other people as well. So it has to be part three. What was it called again?"
I placed my chin in my hand when Tia spoke up, "I believe it was 'Cinderella III: A Twist in Time', right?" she asked with a slight frown, as if her answer could be wrong.
I snapped my fingers. "That's it. But I can't remember any part of the movie."
"That's okay. I have 'Cinderella III' and 'The Little Mermaid II: Return To the Sea' at my house. We can watch them both there before we leave. If I recall, the letters won't disappear until we say yes," Melody volunteered, and Belle looked down at her lap.
"I'll say," she muttered, before Zelda and Tia placed reassuring hands on top of her own. She sent them each a grateful smile in return.
I stood up from my seat and threw on my hat and coat. "Then it's settled. We're having a Movie Marathon at Mel's house before our trip. Any questions?" Niall raised his hand. I raised a curious eyebrow at him. "Yes, Niall?"
"Aren't you guys missing something?" he asked while leaning forward, and we all exchanged a frown with each other, before shaking our heads.
"No, why?" Melody asked him, and he gave each of us a look.
"You do realize your group started out with five, right?" We all nodded. "And only two are going back?" We nodded once again. "Then who are the other three?"
We paled.
Oh, cheesecake.
