Chapter Six

Cindy's P.O.V.

I reluctantly got into the pink and white dress, blue-green beads adorning my neck as well as the additional material covering the otherwise plain, but beautiful dress.  I gulped.  I knew what was going to happen next.  I think it was pretty obvious.  Cinderella's mice friends had taken things from her stepsisters in order to make her dress look the way she wanted it.  Now all that was left was to show them their success.

Taking in a deep breath of air, I hurried down the stairs just as the Tremaine's reached the front door.  "Wait!  Please, wait for me!"

They turned, and their eyes widened at the sight of me.  Did I really look like Cinderella that much?  Well, being blonde and blue-eyed didn't really help the matter all that much.

I said nothing else as they took in my dress, Lady Tremaine's hand reaching up to caress the bead necklace.  "These beads, they give it just the right touch.  Don't you think so, Drizella?"

"No, I don't.  I think she's-," she suddenly gasped, cutting herself off mid-sentence.  "Why, you little thief!" Drizella glared at me.  I gulped.  Here it comes.

"And look, that's my sash!  Wearing my sash!" Anastasia hollered, before they were both on me.

They ripped my dress apart, shreds of the material falling to the floor in white and pink tendrils as I did my best to stop them, until Lady Tremaine halted their actions with her words.  "Girls, girls.  That's quite enough.  Hurry along now, both of you.  I won't have you upsetting yourselves."  Lady Tremaine turned back to face me.  "Good night."  And then she shut the door.  I did exactly as Cinderella did.

I ran.

I ran out through the kitchen doors and into the backyard, past the stables and the wishing fountain, until I stopped and collapsed on a bench beneath the old willow tree shading the spot I had chosen to cry.  Just like Cinderella.  I knew this was going to happen, yet it still hurt.  Cinderella's friends spent so much hard work on this dress, only for it to be ruined by her two evil stepsisters.

I still hated them.

I cried harder and harder, until I started to hear some sparkling around me and feel a body beneath my head, and a soft hand stroking my long blonde hair.  My eyes snapped open and my head shot up.  It was Cinderella's Fairy Godmother.

"If you lost all your faith, I couldn't be here.  And here I am."  I gasped and just stared at her.  Cinderella's Fairy Godmother was really here.  "Oh, come now, dry those tears.  You can't go to the Ball looking like that."

"The Ball?" I finally found my voice, but it wasn't my own.  The words weren't mine, anyway.  "Oh, but, I'm not-"

"Of course you are.  But we'll have to hurry, even miracles take a little time," with that said, she pulled up her sleeves before glancing around for something.  I knew she was looking for her wand, and I tried hard not to laugh because she always somehow managed to misplace it.  She began jumping around, waving her long blue dress around her legs until she finally said, "Oh!  I forgot.  I put it away."  Then she pulled a thick white stick out of mid-air.  I still gaped at her to this day.  To think Magic actually exists here.

As Cinderella's--I mean, my--Fairy Godmother began waving her Magic wand around as the musical 'Bippity Boppity Boo' began, she turned an ordinary orange pumpkin into a gleaming white carriage, four mice into glowing white steeds, Cinderella's childhood horse into a Coachmen, and then her dog, Bruno, into a Footman for the night.

And then there was me.  The finishing touch.

My Fairy Godmother tried rushing me into the carriage, and I tried to tell her about my now tattered pink-and-white dress, as she said, "Yes, it's lovely, dear, lovel-Good heaven's, child!  You can't go in that!"  I breathed a sigh of relief.  It was about time.

With the few Magical words of 'Bippity Boppity Boo', instead of my tattered dress from before, I was now in a sparkling silvery-blue Ball gown, complete with a silver headband, black choker necklace, white arm length gloves, and, of course, the marvelous glass slippers.  Then she gave me the warning.

"Yes, my child.  But like all dreams--well, I'm afraid this can't last forever.  You'll have only till midnight, and then the spell will be broken, and everything will go back to the way it was."

I nodded in understanding and thanked her greatly, before hurrying into the pumpkin carriage, and then my four mice-turned-horses began the trek to the castle, where the Prince awaited.

I sighed and looked out the window.

Please don't let this be the entire fairy tale.  I still wanted to go home.  I'm sure my mother was very worried considering I just disappeared right in front of her.  Looking down at my lap where I fiddled with my fingers, I couldn't help but have a sudden thought about something.

What if I wasn't the only one invited to the Disneyverse?

<3<3<3

So there's that! Whew! It's about time I watch Cinderella again xD LOL.  Anyways. . .

DQC: Can anyone remember Gus Gus' real name?  I just watched the movie so I know what it actually is since it turns out 'Gus Gus' is just a nickname xP
