Chapter One
Cindy's P.O.V.
"Let me out of here!" I pounded on my room door, hands balled into fists. "I'm not Cinderella! Let me out! This is just a huge misunderstanding!"
"Why you crying, Cinderelly?"
I spun around, glancing around the small attic room for any sign of the voice. "Who said that?"
"Gus Gus did, Cinderelly."
Oh no.
I looked down towards my feet. And screamed. The one difference between Cinderella and I?
I hated mice.
So you can only guess what my reaction would be at the sight of Cinderella's two best friends, Jacque and Gus. Who both happened to be mice in clothing.
"Y-You're not real. You can't be!" I closed my eyes and leaned back against the door, hugging myself as I slid down to the floor. "This is all just a dream. I'm going home soon. Oh, someone pinch me?" It was supposed to be a rhetorical question, but I felt something nick my foot, and yelped. "Ouch!"
"Hey, you asked," Jacque shrugged. I stared at him. "What?"
"I'm still here!" I proclaimed in panic.
"Well, of course you are. This is your home," Mary, the female mouse, said gently to me.
I hastily shook my head, backing against the door even further. "I don't belong here. Please, can you help me get home?" I begged, tears pooling behind my eyes.
"But you are home, Cinderelly," Jacque said confusedly, his mouse nose twitching.
The tears spilled over. "I'm not Cinderella! My name is Cindy! I don't belong here! Please!" I stood up and yelled at the roof. "Why am I here!?" I screamed, before falling to my knees, my face in my hands as I continued to cry silently.
What was happening?
"Cinder-ella!"
I snapped my head up as the door to Cinderella's room unlocked itself. I stumbled to my feet and yanked the door open as the two voices from before shouted yet again.
"Cinder-ella!"
I froze mid-step. This really wasn't a dream. If I was supposed to be Cinderella, the Disney Princess, then that means-
The Villains were real as well. Including Cinderella's two ugly stepsisters, Anastasia and Drizella. And even worse, Cinderella's Evil stepmother, Lady Tremaine.
I shivered uncomfortably. This couldn't possibly be happening.
"Cinderella! Come down here!"
I winced. Well, if I had to be Cinderella in order to get back home, so be it. I forced a smile onto my lips. Pretending to be Cinderella should be easy.
Right?
<3
Wrong.
I was completely wrong. Being Cinderella? Not easy. Not easy at all. I don't think I've ever had to do so much hard labor in my life! I mean, yeah, I had my own chores to do at home, but this was just plain ridiculous. I never realized how lazy the Tremaine's were.
So it was such a big relief when I could finally return to my room and figure out how to get out of this fairy tale.
Although I had a slight problem.
The Prince's Ball.
When I got back to Cinderella's room intending to think of a way out of here, I found a big surprise waiting for me. Turns out, Cinderella's mice and bird friends had built the dress that she had wanted to wear to the Ball. The Ball that was going to take place tonight.
Oh, cheesecake.
