PROLOGUE

Alana Salomon was the very first love of Kimi Raikonnen.

They had met when Alana was travelling the world in her teenage years and visited Finland, and despite their bond that they discovered, nothing came of it.

Kimi had wanted to tell her his feelings when he had next seen her, but she had already settled down and was planning for getting married.

He had tried to persuade her not to marry the man, but he had seen how happy she had been, and he couldn't do that. He just wanted her to be happy.

So when he spotted her many years later at one of his races, he couldn't imagine what she was doing without the man that she had married by her side. He later discovered that they had divorced having 'grown apart' and felt feelings flooding back.

Alana had no idea that by going to visit her friend and past love, that she would discover something.

Kimi Raikonnen had waited for her.

Because he had loved her too much to move on without her.
