The dark skinned teen, caught her before she fell, gave a small smile, and said, "Megan. What are you doing in this area of the school? I am curious." The girl replied, "Oh sorry, Kaldur. I didn't mean to ram into you. I was just trying to find the best way out, so I'm not noticed by my classmates." Kaldur answered curtly, but smiling humorously, "Well, I must agree, the best way to avoid any contact with people, is through the door by the pool, though, if I were you, it would have benefitted you better, had you not run into me. What if I was one of those others?" Megan gave a small, quiet laugh, and said, "Yeah, probably should have been watching where I was going. Hello Megan! So uh...I saw you talking to Conner earlier. I don't want to intrude, but what were you talking about?" Kaldur replied, "Oh, you mean before the bell rang, and when you dropped your books. Well, before all that, all of us were discussing whom we were hoping would ask us to the dance, considering it is a Girl Ask Guy thing. Wally told Conner and I that he was already requested by Artemis. And to think they were enemies just a couple months ago!" Suddenly, the sounds of an irritating, yet childish laughter filled the hall. Both Kaldur and Megan looked around for the sound of the laughter, but found no one around. As they turned back to the door, they saw a short, raven haired boy, dressed in a red and black t-shirt, blue jeans, and wearing shades to cover his eyes. Megan exclaimed, upon seeing the young boy, "Robin! You startled me! Don't you do that again!" Robin was a nickname the student body had so colorfully bestowed on the young adopted son of the school's principal. People all knew his real name was Richard Grayson. Robin gave a childish cackle, and asked, with a huge smirk on his face, "What? Like this?" He leapt into the air, and flipped over Kaldur andMegan, landing behind them perfectly. Kaldur turned, as well as Megan, who asked, "And what are you doing in the back of the school, after school? I thought you would be home with your dad." Robin grinned, "Oh Megan, you must have forgotten, that I'm on the gymnastics team! You know we meet afterwards, and you know, do asterous and whelming stuff." Kaldur commented, "I am quite positive neither of those are words. Asterous and whelming?" Robin gave a smile, "What Mr. Zatara says about the English language, is all just a bunch of phooey! That's why I say my words here. No English teacher can correct me about my breaking of the English language in these halls! Well, except maybe the one person who understands and fully listens intently to the teacher talking about verbs and conjunctions!" Kaldur remarked, rather stoutly, "How did you hear that was what our lesson was on?" Robin smirked, "Oh, you know... Hey cool fact, did you know the air vents can hold a tiny person in them, and still give them room to move about?" Megan gasped, "Robin! You were spying on us!? What did you hear? What did you see?" The raven haired boy shrugged his shoulders, and said,"I saw you correcting the Chemistry book, in Mr. Allen's class. Never took you to be the chemistry nerd, although, your best friend is very romantically dating a nerd and geek. Wally's cool, just a lot older than I am, so the only time we talk is when we meet up at the "Cave", when my dad and his uncle talk about work related stuff. Your friend is real lucky though to have Wally as her date for the dance. By the way, I overheard Conner say something about you..." Kaldur interrupted, "Robin, I feel you are now invading Megan's personal place. I kindly ask that you stand down, so you do not hurt her." Megan brightened up, and said excitedly, "Oh Kaldur, Robin's fine talking. Now what were you saying about Conner? He said something about me?!" The boy nodded, and replied, "He said something like he wanted to talk to you more, so you guys could connect, and get to know each other better and blah, blah, blah and whatever." Megan smiled, and sighed, "Hmmm, he wants to know me..." Kaldur and Robin stared at Megan, their thoughts confused. Kaldur asked, "Megan... You are spaced out. Are you alright?" Robin looked up at Kaldur and answered, "She likes him, that's what." The ginger haired girl jerked back to reality, and swiftly retorted, "I do not....dislike Conner. He's just so..." Robin smirked, and added, "So neat? So cute? So, what is it?" Megan continued, "I don't know. He just seems really sweet, despite looking strong and bold. I almost thought I saw or could tell he had something on his mind, when he looked at me. Those icy blue eyes of his, looked like they were worried. I just wish I could know what he was thinking." Robin grinned, "Well, you don't have telepathy, and I guess that's a good thing." Kaldur added, "It keeps from either of you learning something that neither would like the other to know." Megan nodded, "I know, but when I was in class, looking at him, he replied to Alexa much slower than I guessed, almost as if he was thinking whether to revolt and say no." Robin said, "Megan, you should give it a shot. Ask him, and take your best friend's advice." Megan replied,"You heard in the hall too! Oh Megan!" Robin grinned, and gave a simple reply,"What? I just so happened to be around, when you and Artemis were talking about it." Hearing her best friend's name, the ginger replied quickly, "Oh no...I gotta go! I'm supposed to be over at Artemis' house for a study thing! She, Zee, and I were going to do some schoolwork." Kaldur gave a small smile, and said politely, "Have a good time, Megan." As she left, she overheard Robin ask why the boys weren't allowed to be there. She smirked, when Kaldur replied, "We as gentlemen, should be considerate of the girls' time as a group. It is best to not disturb them." Robin grinned, "You mean turb them?" Kaldur asked, "What?"Robin gave a childish chuckle, "You know what I mean...", then somehow disappeared. The dark skinned teen, then, being left in the hallway, went to the pool, to do some laps, while the swimming coach, Arthur Curry, was still at the school.
