-Lacey's POV-

I wake up screaming, clutching my covers until my knuckles are white. I frantically look around, seeing that I'm in my room. I sigh shakily, then someone comes into my room. All I see in the dark are two glowing orbs and I throw my pillow at the figure. I try to run out of the room but he grabs my waist. "Please, let me go!" I yell at him. "Lacey! It's me! Axel! You're okay!" I stop struggling and turn to him. His eyes are still faintly glowing, but they're mostly back to normal. "I'm sorry... I'm sorry..." I put my face in his chest. I can tell he hugs me, but I feel so numb from that nightmare. "You wanna talk about it?" I hear him say. "It might make you feel better." I nod, my face still against him, and he leads me into my room. We sit on my bed and I start to tell him about my nightmare. "Do you... remember the first time we saw each other?" I ask and he nods. "Would never forget it, even if I tried." "That's what's happening to me. Just things that I want to forget, I just can't. Not that I want to forget meeting you, but what happened right before... I had to sit through this memory I don't know how many times until I finally woke up. It was pure torture..." I begin to tear up and Axel wraps his arms around me. "Could... could you stay with me tonight?" I ask him. He hesitates, then hugs me little tighter. "Of course." We get under the covers and he hugs me and I feel so much better. My eyes close and I begin to drift into a dreamless sleep.

-Herobrine's POV-

Pacing, that's all I can do. I hate thinking this much, but I can't help it now. I can even tell that my guards are worried. Axel gets his nice side from his mother, that's for sure. But I was hoping it wouldn't get in the way of him taking over after me. It has though, and he's gone. I walk down a hall that I haven't gone down in a long time, and turn a few times. Getting to a dead end, I spawn a stone button and place it on the wall. I hear pistons working and a door opens up. Breaking the button, I go down the nether-brick stairs, entering my old study. The walls and floors are covered in books, papers, maps, and other miscellaneous items. Organized chaos is what I like to call it. I take an old brown leather book from one of the shelves and flip through, stopping at a couple pictures mobs surrounding a human. Not in battle, but peace. I flip through the next few pages and see the note I made in the margin. 'Spell of Disarming a God Given Ability/Abilities:...' I gather materials for the mundane spell, then I prick my finger and fill a small vile with my own blood. Teleporting back to Axel's old room, I take a hair from his pillow and teleport back to my study. Setting up the spell, I finally can go ahead and start.

-Lacey's POV-

Thud
I hear something fall to the floor and I sit up, looking over the other side of the bed. I see Axel on the floor and get out of bed to help him, thinking that he must have fallen out of the bed rolling over. I shake his shoulder, trying to wake him up, but he's not. "Axel? Come on, wake up." I furrow my brow and notice something. Putting my ear to his mouth, I don't hear or feel any breath. "Axel?!" He begins to twitch, and realize that he's having a seizure. I run out to the hallway and yell for someone to come. Stampy comes out first and runs over, looking in the room at Axel, then runs to go get help.

-One Hour Later-

The doctor comes out of the room and I jump up. "Is he okay?!" He holds up a hand. "Axel is in stable condition, but..." He pauses. "Just... Go on in. He's waiting." I try to sooth myself, then go into the room. Notch is over Axel, his right hand on his Axel's forehead and his left on his heart. "Is... Is he okay?" Notch takes his hands off Axel and looks towards me. "All I know, is that he-" he sighs. Axel opens his eyes and looks towards me. I look to Notch and he finishes his sentence. "He doesn't have my brother's powers anymore. I don't know what happened. After he had this seizure, his powers faded, and left him as a full human." I make my way to Axel and his eyes are no longer pale blue, but a deep purple. "How do you feel?" I ask. He blinks and lightly shrugs. "Okay, but... I feel normal, more normal than usual." "Of course you feel normal." I turn around and in the corner of the room, Herobrine leans against the wall looking at us. I hear Notch unsheathe his sword but Herobrine doesn't move an inch. "I'm not here to fight, brother. I'll promise you that." He deadpans. "Why are you here then?" I almost growl to ask him. Herobrine tilts his head to Axel. "He said he felt normal. Well, he is. He has no trace of me in him anymore. He even has that ugly eye color from Steve. The point is, I want to make amends." He says, a very sincere tone in his voice. But I'm not giving in just yet. "Why should I believe you? You killed my sister and my father, you even threatened Axel's life by controlling him. Where could I begin?" He looks down to the floor and nods slightly. "I've seen the fault in my ways. And to show you I have," he steps to the side, "I give you someone you might want to see." I jaw drops as I see Opal, looking at me intently. I stay in my spot and look at Herobrine. "It's not a trick, I swear." He says as if he can read my thoughts. Well, maybe he can, but still. I take a look at Notch, who's also in surprise. I then look at Axel, who nods. I go in front of Opal and kneel a foot away from her. "Opal? ...Tell me something that only the real Opal would know." She smiles slightly. "Unbreaking V, looting II, and sharpness III. Those are the enchantments that are on the sword you showed me." I go wide-eyed, and she continued. "I missed you Lacey." She hugs me around my neck and I'm star-struck as I hug back. I have my little sister back. I have my little sister back! I hug her tightly, rocking back and forth with her in my arms. I put her legs around my torso and and stand up carrying her so that I can face Herobrine. "I can't forget what you did once, but I can forgive. Thank you." He simply nods, but he smiles. Not evilly, but an actual happy smile. I smile back and go to Axel, carrying Opal with me. "Opal, this is Axel. I thought you should meet him, he's helped me through a lot." Opal smiles and waves, and Axel happily waves back. "Brother, I think we should talk outside. And let them catch up on things, don't you think?" Herobrine nods and follows Notch outside of the room. "Do you think this is my dad's way of saying 'sorry'?" Axel asks me. "I really don't know. He hasn't gained my complete trust, but he's doing a very good job at trying to gain it." Axel nods and I take his hand. "I can tell this the start of something great." I say and Axel nods, smiling. We talk for the rest of the day and I tell Opal everything that's been going on, to an extent. She's still young, but I don't think she remembers what happened to her. When I tried to ask her how Herobrine brought her back, her face would go blank and then she'd ask about something else other than the topic I asked her about. If Herobrine somehow took that memory from her, I'm glad he did. I don't something that traumatic in her memory. She begins to fall asleep in my lap and as soon as she does, she's out like a light. "You better bring her back to the castle and get her a room. She's out and she needs somewhere comfortable to sleep." Axel tells me. "And don't worry about me, I'll be out in a few days. The doctors said so." I grin and bring Opal to the castle, getting her a room. I go to check on Oliver and he's still awake, and Aphmau is helping him learn to read. "Th-the d-o-g j-um-p-ed o-v-er the b-u-sh..." He looked up and beamed at me and I clap. "Good job so far! You're doing great!" I exclaim. "Aphmau, can you excuse us for a minute? Thank you for helping him, I just need to talk about something to him." "Oh no, it's no problem. He should get to bed anyways." She waves to Oliver as she leaves and he waves back. I kneel next to his bed. "Did you ever hear me and Axel talk about my younger sister at all?" He nods. "Well, she's here in the castle. So tomorrow, I'd like for you two to meet and maybe try to get along. She 6, so she'll be a year younger, but I think she'll be great company." He grins from ear to ear. "You mean I'll have another sister?!" I chuckle and nod. "Yay! What's her name?" "Opal. Now try to get some sleep. Tomorrow is going to be a good day." He lies his head down on the pillow and closes his eyes, snuggling up in the covers. I smile and go to the door, exiting to go to my room. I flop on my bed and smile. There are so many good things that happened today, I don't want it to end. But, I go under the covers and Bud cuddles next to me. "Hey, buddy. Did you have a good day, too?" He barks, and I smile, drifting off to sleep.
