Just a dream...Right??
It had been 2 nights since Nathan's nightmare, and the same thought comes back to him - is it possible to have the blood of a demon pulse through your veins??
MatPat seemed a bit more cautious around Nathan too. Ever since he woke him up, MatPat saw something...unusual...about Nathan. Something that wasn't quite right but couldn't put his finger on what.
Nathan walked through the streets of L.A., on his way to Mark's. Mark had invited him over to continue recording "Five Nights at Freddy's : The Musical" with Random Encounters. It was a musical based around a video game franchise called Five Nights at Freddy's. Nathan was playing as one of the two night shift guards, Mark playing the other.
As Nathan approached the front door, the same nauseous feeling he had before his nightmare took him over - but only for a split second. Once he regained stability, he knocked the door three times. Why did he feel sick for a second?? Before he could think, Mark opened the front door - A-Jay from random encounters right behind him.
"Hey Nate!! Nice to see you." Mark moved aside and let Nathan through, patting his back as he passed. A-Jay fist pumped him as they walked into the living room, where Mark's dog Chica lay curled up in her basket. When she saw Nathan, Chica trotted over and rubbed her body against his legs like a cat.
"I thought Chica was meant to be a dog??" Nathan joked, rubbing Chica's stomach. Mark just laughed before stopping abruptly. It confused Nathan to why but he didn't question.
For the next few hours, they practiced and recorded night 3 of the musical. Mark would look Nathan's direction occasionally, but subtly. Nathan just acted his part, pretending not to notice.
During Nathan's solo song, he collapsed. His head spun and the world around him felt like it was going a hundred miles per hour. Mark rushed over and tried talking to him, but all Nathan could make out were muffled sounds.
But then a familiar voice echoed through his ears, over the muffled noises of the people around him.
'Believe now??'
When Nathan finally pulled round and could think straight, Mark propped him up onto the sofa and dismissed A-Jay home - telling him to come back tomorrow. Turning around, Mark placed both hands on Nathan's shoulders.
"Nathan, are you ok??" Mark had a look of concern about him, instead of his calm demeanour. Nathan knew that he had to say something about the nightmare - now clearly being the right time.
"W-well...2 nights ago I had a nightmare. I was in a dark void, walking around pointlessly. Until a light turned on in the distance. A figure emerged just by it - a copy of me...but darker. He said his name was Natemare and that he was my counterpart. Apparently, only someone with blood of a demon can have a counterpart. And then...MatPat woke me up." Nathan explained.
Mark's face dropped. You could see the fear in his eyes as he looked at Nathan. Nathan looked, curiously.
"It was just a dream...Right??" Nathan asked, his stomach churning with anxiety.
"No...it wasn't"
