Jennie's POV-

I slowly opened my eyes as I felt someone patting my head, it was mom.
She was sitting beside me and caressing my hair slowly.

I sat straight....
"Are you okay mom?" I asked softly.
"Yes Dear....quite a rough night wasn't it?"
"No mom......"
"I am glad that you understand your responsibilities and are willing to look after the company without anyone forcing you, my dear....Mumma is PROUD OF YOU," She added.

I felt......I felt happy, I felt useful.
I felt like less of a burden to my parents and now, I felt that I will be able to prove that I am a good daughter.

"Don't worry Mom, I will do my best and prove to be a good daughter..."
"No Honey, You don't have to prove anything...for no matter what you do, we will always be there for you. But just as I said, you taking the initiative and being this strong means that we have raised well:)"
"Awww...Love you mumma!" I hug her tightly and felt the warmth of her embrace.
"Love you too my child...and now mumma shall help you get ready for this new journey of yours!"

The mood changed, the vibe changed...we were no longer upset, we were happy trying to face the new challenges our lives had threw upon us.

My mom stood up and opened the closet....

"Where are your clothes?!" she remarked
"There!" I said pointing the suitcase.

I reached out to the suitcase, picked it up and placed it on the bed.
Mom joined me, and unzipped it.

"Hmmm...let's see...." 

We were talking about the ideal dress to be worn on the first day, when we heard the phone ringing.

Mom rushed to the phone, she knew it must have been from the hospital, I followed her.

"What happened mom? Is dad alright?!" I asked as she hanged the phone.
"My dear, your dad......" she said softly with disappointment in her tone.

Mom was about to cry, I could feel it.

"What happened mom?! Tell me!!" I asked her again.

Then mom looked at me and started jumping in joy.
"Your dad is alright and out of danger now! I am gonna go visit the hospital after I get you ready for the office^^"
"Oh mom, you scared the hell out of me!"
"Language darling!"
"Oops sorry ok."

We picked a dress, It was black in colour and looked pretty formal...then I straightened my hair and went with pretty basic makeup for the outfit.
And I was ready!

I dropped mom at the hospital and told her to call the driver when she needed to go home.

Then I left for the office.

Mr.Kim joined me at the office entrance and instructed the valet for the parking.

I got off the car and entered the office.....

All eyes were on me, some people looked at me with smiling face and seemed welcoming^^
while others also smiled but it seemed more like they were underestimating me.

I reached dad's cabin which was my cabin now and instructed Mr.Kim to hold a conference with all the employees from all departments.

"But maam, we don't have a conference room that big!"
"Mr.Kim I need to address all of them together....anyway leave it!"
I leave my cabin and walk across the main centre staircase of the building.
Then I place my hands on the railing and....

"Mr.Kim get me a mic or something...and tell everyone to gather at the centre of the building...down there."

Mr.Kim did as instructed.

"Good Morning Everyone! I am Jennie....You all must know me as the daughter of your former CEO...But as we all are aware of the tough time dad is going through, you know it's not possible for him to be here....so I will be taking over the position of CEO for the time being.
I am new here, and might not have the required experience but I am willing to give my 100% for this company and my dad. And for the experience...well I have you all! I respect each and everyone of you working here for I believe you have given your valuable time to this company and would continue to do so. I promise to be a good leader and take up my responsibilities...Please take good care of me, Thank you!"

Everyone looked at me as I ended my speech...I bowed down in respect and the employees did the same, then I turned back and proceeded to the cabin.

"Mr.Kim what are the issues to be dealt first?"
"Maam WE4's return...as they have finished shooting their advertisement and then their concerts, apart from that we need to run their advertisement in South Korea as well...."
"Hmm..Did the outreach team get the advertisement yet?"
"Yes maam, they are planning to shorten the advertisement to reduce the advertisement promotion cost...I mean they want to edit the unnecessary scenes as much as possible."
"Sure! Tell them to do it and show it to me when done. What about the rookie bands?"
"Maam WE4 is a rookie band and it hasn't been long since they debuted, so our company hasn't exactly thought of a new band...but the previously existing bands such as SHINE LOVE and BLUE are planning for comebacks.."
"Alright, what about the trainees?"
"Maam..we are planning to build a new trainee building as it is difficult to accommodate them here."
"Ok then, let me know the location details and I have an idea that I would like to discuss with our tech team...also prepare for return of WE4 back in Korea."
"Right so I will assemble the tech team in 5 mins in the conference room near your cabin..."

Mr.Kim left the cabin.
There was silence, I missed Rosé.....I picked up my phone to message her....

She seemed busy....I sighed as I put my phone down....I felt as if I carried a lot of load and needed an escape right now..I wonder how dad managed all this everyday.

"The team is ready, waiting in the conference room" said Mr.Kim, popping his head in.

"ALRIGHT!" I got up from my chair, grabbed my phone and entered the conference hall.

"Good Morning Everyone, I am glad that all the employees here are so active....and I am very hopeful that we will be a better team together;)"

All nodded in agreement.

"Right..so I have an idea...why don't we build an app for our company, and in this app we will upload tutorials and training videos for everyone to see and learn about the k-pop industry...we can also put how-to tutorials for others to become virtual k-pop idols around the world and well we can take a very low price for those tutorials...what say?"

"Good Idea!...But we would like to collaborate with the choreographers, artists and coaches and see what they think" said one of the employees...

"Yes we can do that...But first if you all are fine with it, I would want a basic proposal from you, like a very basic one so that I can share it with other departments as well....is it possible to create it in uhm....3 weeks?" I replied.
"Sure! I am the team manager and we will work to it!"
"Alright! great work everyone..you may disperse^^" I said smiling.

I left the room in the end.

Han Seo Jun's POV-

The shoot was over and all of us were now packing to leave for Korea.
All the band members were in the same room because we were showing each other what we had shopped earlier.
We were all talking when someone knocked the door.
I attended the door and well, Rosé just entered in.

"Let me come with you..." she said.
"Where?" I asked from behind.
"To South Korea....I miss Jennie ok? I want to be with her!"
"Well, go alone!" I replied.
"Rude! Listen up...Please take me with you, I need give dad some excuse...I will tell dad that I am going with a band to shoot their ad....I will not tell him that I am taking a leave from the company...pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee"

All the members looked at each other and then at me.


"Fine ok. Happy now?"
"YAYYYYYYY!" Rosé jumped in joy.

I know most of you might find this episode unnecessary but I think this episode really tells how Jennie deals with the problems in the new environment and at the same time, it shows how much she and Rosé were connected..so yah
