The life of a Trudent is hard. I would know. I am one. My name is Britney. At least my female name is. My Trudent name is darokala which means different in ancient Trudent language.

My mother says that being a Trudent is like being clipped everyday. I have to do my makeup. Which is more than any female would use on average because trudents have a blueish color skin. Not really blue, but just a tint. We have to cut our hair a little bit every day because our hair grows 30 times faster than a normal female or male. We are also extremely smart. Sometimes, it is annoying, but we have to dumb down a bit in school so normals don't know who we are. She means being clipped as in getting things taken away from us everyday. Privileges that have to be taken away from us in order to survive around normals.

We are told to hide our true identity from normals. Normals are anyone except for trudents. Many people are afraid of trudents because of our intelligence, strength, and our secret abilities. All normals are not allowed to know our special abilities. This is another reason why they are so afraid of us.

Because of trudents a ceremony of the true is held every year. Everyone turning 18 must attend and have a special test. This is to ensure no trudents are put into society to work and be adults. If any trudents are detected they get taken. No one knows what happens to trudents when they are taken except for deltites.

Deltites are normals that ensure safety to the town. Elderly normals say they used to be called police. They say the name was changed because trudents needed to be delt with in a proper manner. When ever trudents are taken though they never come back. Deltites are also allowed to use force if needed. They are the only normals allowed to carry weapons around with them.

I am now 17 almost 18 in human years. Which is actually divided by 2 in Trudent years. So I am 8 and a half in Trudent years. The reason there are more dates in a Trudent year is our ancient ancestors thought of everything as 2 is better so 2 rotations of the moon is 1 year. 2 is our lucky number. Whenever we're in public around normals we have to have an even balance with other numbers otherwise normals will find out.

I am not sure if trudents are more scared of normals or if normals are more afraid of trudents. Normals are even scared of trudent babies which is why all births are in your own living quarters. If a birth of a Trudent is to occur they are to be given to a deltite immediately otherwise there will be consequences resulting in death.

Makeup must be bought for even trudents being males in order to hide their blueish tone. Every day it is a struggle for trudents to fit in expecially on the day of the ceremony.
