Avoiding someone when you lived in the same house with them was a pain, and no matter how hard Andy tried, she would always run into her sister.
Andy was cold and harsh to her sister, to the friends that tried to call on her sisters behalf. It only further infuriated her how they completely missed the reason for her anger.
While she ignored many people, she continued to speak with Jasper and Alice in secret. They were the only ones that new the true nature to her feelings and stood behind her fully, because they would back her no matter what.
It was one of the rare days that she made an appearance in LaPush. Her father was going fishing with his friends for the day, she decided it wouldn't hurt to tag along.
Walking along the beach, she tried to navigate herself back towards Lynn's house. Andy had spent a good amount of time on the reservation, but she would always get lost no matter how hard she tried.
"Andy!"
The girl froze before groaning. Picking up her pace she tried to get away before he reached her.
"Hey, Andy, wait!"
"What do you want Embry?" Andy mumbled. She was mad, but she had never been one for expressing her feelings, her anxiety always made her believe that it was the worst option. Even if she considered him a friend. "I thought you were sick or something."
"I was," the boy stumbled, not expecting the conversation to change direction so quickly.
Fumbling with a lose string on her sweater, she made sure that her cast was out of view. The last thing she needed was for him to relay the information to Quil, even though she was sure he already knew thanks to her sister.
Nodding, she pursed her lips awkwardly before turning and walking away.
"Hey, Andy!" he calls after her once more. "Talk to Quil! He's going crazy thinking he did something wrong!"
"He did do something wrong," she muttered to herself.

"You're late," the girl accused as she opened the door.
Andy wrung her hands, unsure of how to answer before stepping into the home. It was obvious to her that no one else was here and she didn't find herself minding all that much.
"I got a little lost," Andy admits.
Lynn looked at her friend with a small smile. "We're gonna have to work on that."
Watching the slightly younger girl, Andy picked out the things that made her distinctly beautiful and different from the other Quileutes.
Her hair was lighter in this lighting. Instead of the black she originally perceived it as, it was a warm brown. She was lighter than the other natives her eyes sharper, much ore calculating. Andy recognized the look as caution, like she was afraid of getting hurt.
"You're staring," Lynn teased as she prepared some kind of food.
"You're beautiful," Andy countered easily, surprising them both.
"Well, this is cute."
Both girls spun around to see Jared and Paul watching the two in amusement.
Lynn opened her mouth to snap at her brother but stopped short. She had nothing to throw at him. Every insult and witty comeback frozen on the tip of her tongue. She looked to Andy in confusion, before tentatively sliding her hand into hers. Lynn needed the support, without her quick wit and smart mouth she felt defenseless.
Andy gave the girls hand a timid squeeze in support, feeling the different emotions ranging in the girl. Shuffling back, Andy felt herself take the full impact of it all allowing the girl to come up with something to say.
"At least one of us can act like a total dog," Lynn fired at her brother. Andy noticed the look she gave Jared it was extremely similar to the one she gave Bella.
Paul burst into laughter, doubling over as if it was the funniest joke he had ever heard. Jared just stared in disbelief.
"What?" the boy questioned.
Instead of answering the girl stared her brother down, making boys boys shift uncomfortably at what lied behind her gaze. It was a certain knowledge that made the boys antsy and off.
"Did you wan- need something?" Andy stuttered, wanting to get out of the tense and awkward situation.
"We just wanted to ask if you wanted to come cliff diving with us?" Paul spoke in place of Jared. "Not you, Andy, you can just watch, but yeah.."
Lynn stood frozen before looking towards Andy. She didn't care for going anywhere with her brother but she would if Andy wanted to.
When everyone turned their attention towards Andy, she placed herself slightly behind Lynn and gripped her arm tightly. The hopeful looks on the boys making her feel guilty for wanting to say no.
"I guess I could get in some good pictures," Andy mumbled to Lynn.
"We'll come," Lynn told them with fake enthusiasm.
Sam's truck was waiting for them outside and the guys easily helped the girls climb up into the bed.
It was silent as they drove slowly, trying carefully to make sure the girls didn't fall or get hurt. She felt weird around so many new people.
Andy focused on the trees instead, how the grew tall and thin. She wondered what it would be like to see hem up close, to be hidden within them and to capture ever secret they held. Alice would have loved the pictures of the woods, she always did. The small vampire girl had a photo album of every picture Andy showed to her.
She made a mental note to send her shots over to her friend.
She was startled as the truck pulled to a stop. Looking around she realized they were a few minutes away from the cliffs, they would have to walk the rest of the way. A few feet away she saw Sam and Embry talking and joking around.
"Are you alright?" Lynn asked her, a hand gently pressed against the small off her back. She hadn't even noticed then stopped walking.
"Yeah, I'm- I've just been ignoring the boys lately," Andy stammered. "Since when does Embry hang around Sam and the others?"
"Well , Jared, Paul and Embry are all the same age."
Startled, Andy glanced at Lynn. She surprised herself with how close their faces were. "I'm older than them then."
"How much older?" Lynn had a small grin playing on her lips.
"A year. I turned sixteen last April."
"So you have a drivers licence?" the girl younger girl asked excitedly.
"Well, not yet. I'm too jumpy to drive."
Glancing back towards the others, she caught the way they watched her. Sighing, she leaned her head against Lynn's shoulder.
"They're watching me," Andy whispered.
Lynn snapped her head towards the others and silently snarled at them.
"Forget them." Lynn took a hold of Andy's hand. "You wanted to take pictures right? What of?"
"Well I wanted a few shots of them jumping up from the cliffs. Maybe even the water from that high."
The Cameron girl led the Andy ahead. Not caring about how her brother watched her closely or how Embry frowned in their direction.
"Why has Embry been watching you?"
Andy was silent as the walked, she continued to stare straight ahead. "He wants me to speak to Quil Ateara again. Something about giving him another chance."
"You and Quil Ateara?" Lynn sounded shocked.
"Ye- no. Yes? I don't know." Andy groaned, throwing her head back. "Everything was fine until he, they, picked Bella over me."
The were quiet as they reached the top. Andy focused her camera and snapped a few shots of the water and the view until she focused on on Lynn and took a few pictures.
"Are you done now?" The girl teased.
"You're beautiful, extremely photogenic," Andy teased playfully.
Lynn rolled her eyes before giving her friend a shy smile.
It was a mystery to those that knew both Andy and Lynn, no one could figure out why they felt so comfortable around the other. They acted as if they were longtime friends, like they had known each other forever.
"Have you seen yourself?" Lynn shot back. "You are like the sun, it's beautiful."
Andy hummed as she took a few more pictures of her surroundings.
"I always saw myself as the ocean."
"Seems fitting. The ocean is beautiful and peaceful, yet deadly and dark." Lynn sat herself against the cliff wall and patted the spot next to her.
The boys had yet to join them, despite their superior physique. Andy figured they were taking their time or discussing a private matter.
"You should speak to Quil," Lynn tells her. "He has been acting weird at school recently, I think it might be because of you."
Andy didn't respond, not having anything to say.
"I think he really misses you."
Andy looked towards the sky and took in the dark clouds. A rainstorm was sure to come and she hoped for thunder and lightning. She would welcome anything that would reflect her mood.
"I doubt it, but I guess I'll try."
