Dix-Huit pt.1
She loved the way the wind pulled at her hair, caressing her skin. She attempted to take everything in at once. The way the waves kissed the sand warmed her insides despite the chilly weather. It was a typical day in LaPush, a depressing sky that swelled above your head and reached towards land. No hint of sun lingered in the sky and Andy loved the way she felt free.
She waited on the beach, knees tucked beneath her as she watched the water with interest. She wanted to go to it, to submerge herself in the deepest and see how long she could hold her breath.
Lynn came up from behind her, the bubbly girl leading he way as her brother and his friends followed close behind.
She didn't want to see any of the boys.
"Andy!" Lynn called with twinkling eyes. The Cameron girl was quick to wrap herself around the tiny Swan girl.
"Hello Lynn." Andy leaned into her friends embrace. "How have you been?"
Lynn collapsed to the ground next to her, splaying herself across the ground. Andy smiled at her fondly before glancing towards the others, feeling unnerved at thee way the watched her with guarded expressions.
"I've been missing you, but also happy you haven't been around because then you would be scarred for life."
"How so?" Andy asked hesitantly, knowing fully well that the girl could possibly explode with emotion at any second.
"Jared has decided to hang around at home to basically have sex with Kim in the living room like every single day! I have been traumatized, Andy."
Stifling a laugh, she attempted to comfort her distraught friend by patting her knee. "There, there."
Lynn threw herself at the girl, arms wrapping around her waist.
"Hold me!" the girl cried dramatically.
Laughing, Andy held the girl as she continued her dramatics.
Catching the eye of Sam, she summoned all of her courage and held his gaze. Different from the others, he never once glared her way. He kept his expression neutral as hers was full of confusion. He stood tall, a bare chested statue in the breeze.
"Why are they here?" Andy questioned, eyes never leaving his.
Lynn glances towards the boys. "They want to talk to you. They followed me here."
Removing her friend from her, Andy stands and walks towards the group. Her heart hammered in her chest, pounding against her ribs and she was sure they were going to break. The closer she got, the sicker she felt. A tension grew in her stomach, something that she could only describe as anger.
It was a fiery feeling, something that curled around her organs and set blood aflame. It put her on edge, made her stand taller as it gave her confidence. Their anger was addictive, dangerous.
"You wanted to speak to me." She stated, cutting directly to the point.
The boys glanced among each other, shuffling as they didn't expect her confidence.
Sam was the first to speak. "You can't leave after graduation."
Andy stood still, his words not registering with her at first. It took her a moment to put the pieces together, her own anger flaring inside of her.
"What has Billy told you?" she hissed, eyes narrowed at them and fist clenched at her sides.
"Everything," Paul growled out. "Absolutely everything and we can't let you leave."
She took a step back, flinching away form the boy as he shook before her eyes. Her gaze flickered between them, taking in the different expressions.
"He had no right to tell you. You have no right to tell me what to do." She took a step away, distancing herself from them. She looked towards Jared first. "You ignore your sister, make her feel like she isn't good enough for your time. Instead you parade Kim around, showing off all the time you could be spending with Lynn. One day you'll need her, but she won't need you."
She spun towards Paul. "You joke and do whatever you want, but never take into consideration the damage that your actions cause. At this very moment, your fury, your rage flows through me, giving me strength that I'm certain I could use to hurt any of you at any second. This is dangerous, you are making me dangerous but you hardly care."
Stepping back further, she glared at Sam. She found it easy to be mad at him, at all of them. Andy had heard the things that happened on the reservation, she was nearly always there, and when she wasn't she got the gossip from Quil, Lynn, and even Charlie. "You walk around like you're high and mighty, but you left Leah didn't you? You left Seth, a young boy that looked up to you just because you were no longer with Leah. You prevent these boys from seeing their friends, you steal my sister from me then expect me to do as you want. You try to order me around like I was some kind of dog."
Andy leaned away, stumbling backwards as she suddenly felt cold. She pointed a shaky finger towards both Embry and Jacob, looking at them through sad eyes.
"You both left me, chose Bella over me like everyone else has and I am sick of it. You took me for granted, I can see that now. I was so excited to have finally made friends of my own, but then you only wanted me around because I was smart. You hung around Bella, then I was tossed aside and chased away. I am not stupid; I learn from my mistakes. You can pretend you want me around, but I won't trust you. You left Quil behind, your best friend from childhood, what makes me any different?" Her eyes watered as she spoke to them.
She stepped away, backing further as the each looked at her with different emotions. She could feel them all, the pressing weight that surrounded her, threatening to consume her.
"We need you to stay, Andy. We'll explain everything, but you need to know that your presence helps us," Embry tried to soothe, reaching towards the shuddering girl.
She flinched away, sobs escaping her as she felt like she was going to shatter into tiny pieces. She wanted to, to shatter into pieces. She wanted to be swept away, far away from here as she was suddenly filled with such intense pain and misery.
Coming home was a mistake, she thought to herself bitterly, I should have stayed with mom.
"You don't seem to hear what you're saying to me," Andy spat the words out like they were poisonous. "You want me to stay for selfish reasons. You just told me that you want to use me. I don't care how much you need me; I don't care what Billy has told you all because none of you will ever understand but I am leaving after graduation. I am leaving after graduation and moving to be with the Cullen's because that is what I want."
Andy spun on her heel, wiping at her eyes desperately to remove the tears.
"What about Bella?" Jacob yelled after her. "Are you just going to leave? Put them over her?"
Stopping, she shot him a deadly glare. "Bella is my sister, my hero. I will always be available to her, even if I'm not around but Bella is the one that left me. She left me for you, Jacob Black! She put you over me; she put everyone over me time and time again and I am sick of it! I have spent months on the verge of suicide because of her emotions. Every awful thing that she feels has automatically transferred to me, and I can't take it anymore."
Turning away, she stomped across the beach. A hole in her heart settled, dragging her further into her troubled mind. Her once happy mood seemed impossible to reach.
"I won't deal with this anymore. I love her but I won't let her kill me."

"Are you even sure that he's home?" Lynn questioned. She stuck to Andy's side, letting the Swan girl cling to her as emotions tormented her mind.
"He has no where else to go," she mumbled sadly. "I'm certain that he's here."
Lynn reached out and rang the doorbell, letting Andy sink further into her side. She had no idea what Jared's and his friends had said to her, but Andy had turned into a near completely different person. She was withdrawn and jumpy with round sad eyes.
The door opened to show a brightly smiling Joy. The older woman had aging lines around her mouth and eyes, showing just how much she had smiled in her life.
"Andy!" the woman exclaimed. "How nice to see you? Are you here to see Quil?"
"Yes, we are," Lynn spoke up for her friend.
Joy backed away letting the girls in. "Quil!" she called out. "You have visitors!"
The boy came down the stairs slowly with eyes cast down. Andy felt her heart leaped at the sight of him. He was taller, more muscular than the last time she had seen him. His curly hair was longer, flopping forward over his forehead obscuring his eyes ever so slightly. She thought he was just as beautiful.
Letting go off Lynn, Andy moved forward and launched herself at the boy the second he reached the last step. Arms going around his neck as her legs wrapped around his waist tightly. She clung to him, pulling him impossibly closer.
Quil held her just as tight, head sinking into the crook of her neck. She shivered as she felt his breath on her neck.
It felt right to be with him, to be held by him. It was like a beautiful song. He was the missing keys that completed her melody with perfect harmony.
The sound of a throat clearing jolted the pair apart. Still in the boy's arm, Andy looked behind her to find a smirking Lynn and Joy.
"Would you like for us to give you a moment, or are you too done?" Lynn questioned cheekily.
Andy felt her face flush red as she looked to her friend. Quil looked up her with a sly smile.
"Right, uh, Lynn this is Quil. Quil this is Lynn" She gestured between the two. "If you didn't know each other before, you do now."
The Ateara boy extended his hand to her, all the while keeping Andy in his arms. "I've seen you around school a few times. Jared Cameron's sister."
Andy tensed at the mention of the boy and turned her face away. The other teens did not miss her reaction.
"Wanna watch a movie?" Quil broke the girl from her thoughts as he set her down at his side. He didn't release her, constantly touching her in some way. He was pleased as she leaned into him.
"You got Jurassic Park?" Lynn questioned, already heading towards the couch.
Andy sat quietly tucked into his side nibbling on a muffin. Lynn sat in front of the tv, reciting every word from the movie.
It was nice, to just sit and observe everything as she fought with her thoughts. Quil, a constant beside her was like an anchor to the world around her, holding her down to before she drifted away into nothingness. It was beyond words, nothing she could string together could describe the way he made her feel.
Every time she had seen him he had a muffin to provide for her. It made her heart melt, the way she was always on his mind, always in some form because even when she arrived unannounced he was ready.
It was an all consuming feeling that made her question everything she thought because it always, at some point, brought her back to him.
Andy sent glances his way, watching as he played with her fingers. Holding her small hand in both of his larger ones as he fiddled and trace the lines of her palms. It sent tingles down her spine and then it hit her. It was the way he would tell cheesy jokes, and text her first thing in the morning. It was the he would give her piggyback rides when she got tired, and let her wear his sweaters. It was the way he let her sit quietly to calm her troubled mind, and how he would always have muffins on hand just for her. It was all this and more. It was all this and more when she realized that she was desperately in love with him.
