'Josh Edwards Signs 3 Year Deal With WWE And Set To Debut The Night After Clash Of Champions.'

And tonight was the night.
'Beep, beep, beep'.
Josh's alarm sounded. He reached for his phone on the bedside table and muted the alarm and carefully but surely sat up in the bed of the hotel he was staying in waiting for his day to set WWE ablaze with his debut. He looked at the right side of the bed and remembered the times he would wake up in a hotel in Canada when he did a few weeks work for Elite Canadian Championship Wrestling and see the crimson haired beauty named Charlie Evans still sleeping next to him. Every other morning they'd both be naked from a night of passionate love making or just plain hot, unbridled, sheet tearing and burning sex. He missed looking into those captivating emerald green eyes  of hers when he'd wake her up or when she'd wake him up to make sure they weren't late for a meet and greet or something to that effect.
He missed her greatly, though he'd never say so. When he went to work full time in Mexico. She went to work for other companies as did he. But when she left Ring of Honor and signed with WWE in 2016. He lost touch with her, only hearing updates about her career either by dirt sheets which are hardly reliable sources of information. Or from his sister Anna who as of recently has been causing her own brand of chaos in NXT.
Josh eventually got ready for his big night. And even though it was a big deal to debut in the WWE. He was more excited or nervous depending upon how you look at it, about seeing Charlie after all these years. And she herself, freshly 'freed' from a relationship with 'The Architect' himself Seth Rollins. Although he had his doubts that Seth would just roll over and let sleeping dogs lie, (pardon the pun). He was determined to make an impact his first night. And hopefully be able to reconnect with Charlie.
But if Seth tried to cause too much trouble for him in any way, he had a couple friends who he met in Lucha Underground and just recently signed up with NXT, their names are Sean and William Thompson 'The Twin Terrors' and they along with his sister Anna together could do some real damage to any roster. He shivered at the thought of what those three could do to Rollins if things got bad enough. But until thigs did get bad enough, he'd hold off on calling them in.
When he was ready and had his arena bag packed. He headed to the arena by taxi as he didn't feel the need to get a rental this trip.

Meanwhile in Charlie's hotel room.
She was waking up to not only her alarm going off but ever since she broke it off with Seth a week or so ago. He's been blowing up her phone. Nonstop. With messages or voicemails. She was scared that he was trying to drive her mad. But as always, she put on a brave face and got ready for the nights impending events, especially the debut of Josh Edwards. If you were to ask anyone on the rosters about Charlie's reactions to Josh's name being mentioned. They'd tell you that Charlie was just excited to see her old friend again. If you were to ask Anna about the same thing. She'd tell you that Charlie wants Josh all to herself.  And herself alone.
Charlie got in the shower, and tried to get some solace from the nightmare of Seth's constant messages and voicemails. While in the shower she started reminiscing about when her and Josh were together in Canada years ago and shared hotel rooms, how he'd just sneak into the shower with her and just caress every inch, every curve of her body. Driving her crazy and mad with want and desire. Wanting of him. And the desire to be with him always.

Twenty minutes later,  she was drying off and putting her clothes for the night on. She made sure she had her two arena bags packed and ready before grabbing her keycard and phone. She soon made her way to the arena for tonight's episode of Raw.

When Josh got to the arena, he was greeted by his sister. "Well,  if it isn't my big bad brother, Josh Edwards." He smiled as he turned around after paying the cabbie.
"Hello, Anna." He approached her and hugged her tightly. "Been a long time."
"Yes it has." He followed her into the arena and kept talking with her. "Have you talked to Charlie yet?"
"I haven't talked to or even seen her since 2009, you know that." He reminded her.
"Well Rollins is really on one tonight, since he lost the Universal Championship last night to Strowman." She told him.
"Speaking of giants. How are the boys treating you?" He asked.
"Sean and William? Their treating me just fine. Their like the older brothers I never had." She giggled.
"Ohh, ho, ho, ho. That hurt little sister." He grinned. "I'm glad their treating you well. Aren't you supposed to be at Full Sail for NXT?"
"Yeah, but I wanted to be here for my brother's debut."
"That's big of you." She slugged his arm.
"You know just because I'm your little sister doesn't mean I can't kick your ass every once in a while."
"I know, well I better check in with Hunter."
"Okay see you later." She patted Josh on the back as he headed to his locker room and then to Hunters office.

Anna then heard a commotion near the talent entrance of the arena and decided to check it out.
"Why don't you love me anymore Charlie? " Seth asked.
"I don't need a reason, Seth. But if you want a reason, when you won the Universal Championship at Summerslam. You didn't really care about me anymore, you cared more about being the Champion, than you cared about me. You didn't even touch me for weeks and when a male friend of mine would just ask me after a show or an event for drinks, you'd get upset and scare them off. I just couldn't take it anymore. That's why we're broken up. That's why I don't love you anymore Seth." Charlie told him. Seth raised a fist only to have Anna come around the corner.
"Hey, is everything alright here Charlie?" She asked her best friend.
"It's fine. I need to get ready for my match against Nikki Cross." Charlie started walking down the hall for the women's locker room.
"Don't mess with Charlie. If you continue to do so, me and two giants will make you regret it, and of course there's my brother who'd really hate that someone is bothering Charlie. If he heard about you doing this or that your bothering Charlie at all. He'd wreck you and shut you down. So do the smart thing and walk away." Anna made her way to catering leaving Seth fuming from what she said.
'I'd like to see him try and stop me. Charlie's mine. And there's nothing Josh or you, his kid sister and your 'giants' can do or say otherwise. So bring it Josh, Anna and whoever else wants to try and stop me. Charlie will be mine again. One way or another.' Seth growled.

Josh was leaving Hunters office and was heading back to his locker room to get ready to make his debut. When he was pulled into a custodians closet. While he was trying to regain his bearings he could feel a pair of lips kissing his face, someone pulling up his shirt and the same pair of lips continuing their assault on his body. He soon was able to turn on the light to see Bayley and Sasha Banks all over him.
"Whoa. Whoa! What the hell is going on here?" He asked making them stop.
"Well, we heard about how much of a ladies man you are. Among other things." Bayley said as she smiled and Sasha bit her lower lip and looked to at Josh's crotch.
"Look, I'm flattered that you two are 'interested' in me but right now I have a match to concentrate on."
He left the closet and the Boss'n Hug Connection was just stunned that he would deny them of anything including having him to themselves for a few moments. Sasha was steamed. "He refuses us a chance to see if what we heard about him is true. Well we won't give up that easily will we?" She asks her best friend.
"No we won't." Bayley smiles as does Sasha as they come up with a plan to get Josh to do what they want.

An hour into Raw, after he changed into his ring gear. He went looking for Charlie. To at least try and catch up with her. Anna notices him walking past catering as if he was  looking for someone. She ran up to him as he was nearing the makeup chairs. "Looking for Charlie?" She asked.
"Yeah." He replied.
"I believe she's in the women's locker room. You could try there."
"Thanks, sis." He smiled as he ran to the women's locker room.
"No problem." She grinned.

When he arrived at the women's locker room he knocked and Dana Brooke answered the door. "Yea...Oh hi you must be Josh?" She smiled.
"Yeah. Is Charlie in there?" He asked.
"She is."
"Can I speak to her?"
"Sure, just a second." She closed the door and when it opened Charlie came out wearing her attire. (Crimson red top with her initials  in Emerald Green and shorts and boots with Emerald Green kickpads) Josh couldn't help but stare at her in her attire.
"You alright Josh?" She asked breaking the trance he was in but also the awkward silence.
"Yeah. I am." He smiled. "How've you been?"
"I've been better. I just wish that something would take the hint that it's over between us." She sighed in frustration.
"What? You mean Rollins? " He asked she just nodded. "Want me to take care of him for you?"
"No. The last thing I want is for you to get in trouble on your debut night. I'll figure something out." She smiled and kissed his cheek. "I better get ready for my match with Nikki Cross. See you later Josh. Before she went back into the women's locker room. 
Josh said, "Hey Charlie." She stopped barely inside the door. If you need anything, or want to talk, I'm in room 918 at the hotel."
"Thank you, Josh." She smiled as she walked into the locker room and closed the door. Josh barely started to leave the area when a guy with short Brown hair and hazel eyes and stands about, as much as Josh could tell was barely six feet tall, walked up and knocked on the door and looked at Josh. "Hi." The man said. "You must be the new signee everybody's been talking about, Josh Edwards right?"
"Right." Josh looked at him curiously.
The man stuck his hand out,  "Boyce,  Daniel Boyce. People call me 'The Rigby Ripper'." Josh took the gesture and shook his hand. "I know what it's like being the new guy. I wouldn't wish being the new kid on anyone."
"That bad huh?" Josh asked.
"Well, I wouldn't say it was pleasant. That's for sure. But that was close to twelve years ago."
"You've been in the business that long?"
"This company has been the only one I've worked for. I believe in loyalty to the company that gave you a chance to be great. I've been out with a shoulder injury for a year at most. But it's good to be back home." Ripper then cleared his throat. "I heard through the grapevine that your quite the ladies man." Josh just nodded. "I wish I had that talent when I was younger. In fact I did."
Then Josh couldn't help but ask, "What changed?"
Ripper just smiled. "I found the one."
"How did you know she was the one? And second of all who is she?"
"The same way or reason you turned down or shot down rather the umm, how can I put this? The creative advances of Bayley and Sasha earlier." Josh looked at Ripper with a shocked expression on his face. "You'll find it's hard to keep anything secret for long around here. And to answer your second question," Dana Brooke then came out of the women's locker room and smiled at Ripper.
"Hey baby." She said as he turned his head and kissed her lips.
"Hey, darling." He looked to Josh. "Take it from someone who knows. When you find the one, you find yourself doing things you never thought you'd do. For me, when I met this blonde beauty. I found myself not going out and partying or going to bars after shows. I even gave up chasing all kinds of tail. Because Dana is worth it. And even though I didn't have to fight for her. She's become the most important person in my life. So whoever it is that made you shoot down the Boss'n Hug Connections advances. Do yourself a favor and don't give up and whatever you do, don't let her go."
"Come on, baby you have a match against Drew Macintyre." Dana reminded him
"Right. Well, best be off." Ripper extended his hand again and Josh shook it. "Whoever your one is son, you fight for her, and treat her right and don't ever let go of her. Because..."
"She's worth it." Josh smiled.
"You got it. Well see ya round." Ripper and Dana walked away towards the gorilla. Josh looked to the women's locker room door and smiled.
'I'll be here for you Charlie. Because you're my one. Even if I have to fight through the entire rosters. Because I want you and you alone.' He headed to catering.

When Charlie's match with Nikki Cross came up. Josh and Anna watched the match with intense interest.

Twenty-five minutes into the match...
Nikki gave her all as did Charlie. But as the pace started winding down, Nikki had Charlie on the top rope until Charlie found a second wind and started slugging  Nikki in the gut. Causing her to hunch over in pain, which gave Charlie the opportunity to crouch on the top turnbuckle, pull Nikki a little further under her until her neck was under Charlie and Nikki was soon draped over the top turnbuckle, Charlie slid her legs down both sides of Cross's ribcage under her arms and performed a picture perfect Sunset Flip Powerbomb making Cross to fold over like an accordion with her ass over her head. Charlie pulled Cross's legs down only slightly leaving at least her feet over her head. The ref counted a three count victory for Charlie who gently rolled Cross off of her and rolled herself out of the ring. Which meant that Josh's match against Samoa Joe was next. So he got up and made his way to the gorilla. Where he ran into Charlie once again.
"Nice work out there." He said.
"Thank you." She smiled. "I'm guessing your match is up next?" She asked.
He nodded. "Yeah. Glad to know you still got it. Not that I expected you not to." He started stammering and stuttering complete nonsense. To the point that Charlie smiled and put a finger to his lips.
Then said, "I know what you meant Josh. It's fine." She kissed his cheek and he calmed down. "I'll see you later, Josh." She walked past him and to the trainers room. He watched her walk away before heading out to the ring to 'Pray For Villains' by Devildriver.

The only thing is that Charlie and Josh had an audience in the shadows.

Forty minutes into the match...
Joe and Josh hit each other with everything they had. When Joe tried to cinch in the Coquina Clutch for the second time. Josh thinking quickly reversed it into the dreaded Kimura Lock. But before Samoa Joe could tap out Rollins ran out and started stomping on Josh, even delivered two Curb Stomps to him. Pretty soon 'Born to Raise Hell' by Motorhead came over the speakers and Ripper came out and ran Rollins off. He soon checked on Josh as Anna came out too. 'You okay big man?' Ripper asked. Fully aware that it was a dumb question. Josh nodded but quickly shook his head.
"Help me get him to the trainers office." Anna said.
"Like I'd do anything else?" Ripper joked. Ripper and Anna got Josh out of the ring and to the trainers office. Ripper stood guard at the door as Anna stayed with her brother. After a thorough examination. The trainers found nothing really wrong, just some bruised ribs and a massive headache to come about later, but that's about it. While the trainers were patching up Josh, Charlie approached the door. "Is Josh okay?" She asked Ripper.
"Don't really know yet. But he should be okay though." Ripper said putting some of Charlie's worries at ease. "But even I must say that your ex did one hell of a number on him. Do you want to see him?" Charlie nodded. Ripper opened the door and let Charlie in. "Go on." He smiled as Charlie went into the trainers office and saw Josh get bandaged up. Anna smiled as she took this as a subtle cue to leave Josh and Charlie alone.
"I'll be outside." She said to Josh. He nodded and as she passed Charlie,  she smiled and said, 'Here's your chance.' And she winked at her.
Charlie was confused for a bit until she thought about it. She then smiled as Anna left the office. Then turned her attention to Josh.
"I'm so sorry Josh." She said.
"What for? You didn't do anything or have anything to do with this." He said referring to his bandaged ribs.
"Maybe I should..." Josh held a few fingers to her lips and she immediately fell silent.
"Don't you dare or even think about finishing that thought." He got up with minimal difficulty. "Your not going back to Rollins and you know why?" She shook her head. "Because he wants you to think that by terrorizing you, by beating me up or anyone close to you. That eventually, you will go crawling back to him." Charlie started to smile and tear up. "And I won't let you or let him bully you into doing it. Between me, Anna, Sean and William, and Daniel. Rollins has a lot of obstacles to overcome. In order to get to you. And if he thinks he'll have you again. Boy do I have news for him. But right now. I think as a precaution. You should stay with me until Rollins is dealt with."
"Speaking of dealt with." Charlie grinned. "Heard you said no to Sasha and Bayley earlier this evening."
"Yeah." Josh said sheepishly, making Charlie giggle a bit.
"Well, by the sounds of things. Neither Sasha nor Bayley liked being refused to have you all to themselves."
"Well, I just didn't want anything to ruin my concentration for my debut tonight."
Charlie glided her tongue on the inside of her bottom lip, "Uh huh." She moved in closer to Josh. "Why don't we say what even your sister knows to be true." The trainer left his office momentarily at this point. "That you missed me much as I missed you all these years."
"Yes, I admit it. Okay. Not a day or night has gone by since our time together in ECCW, have I missed waking up and being able to look into your eyes either when I woke  you up or when you woke me up. And feel complete."
Charlie smiled as she said, "And I feel the same. There's not a night or a morning that goes by where I don't miss the feeling of your arms around me while I sleep or when I wake up. But the one place where I miss your touch the most. Is in the shower, every morning before I go to the arena of whatever city the WWE's in. I remember the feeling of you, caressing every inch, every curve my body. And just making me want you and desire you, I miss that. But most of all. I just miss how you made me feel safe. And secure. Even if it was  just the sight of you. I felt safe."
"And what do you feel now?" He asked.
"The same as I did all those years ago. Safe. And secure. Like everything will be okay."
"And everything will be." Josh said.
"Don't make promises you can't keep Josh." She smiled as she slid into Josh's arms and nuzzled into his chest and even just a little part of his beard. "Have you ever thought about trimming your beard?"
"Hell no. It's part of my mystique." He giggled. 
"Okay. Just make sure it doesn't grow any longer." She smiled.
"Okay."

After a while, Josh and Charlie left the trainers office and with Anna and Ripper walked Charlie to the women's locker room. "I'll be out in a moment." Charlie went into the locker room and started packing and changing into some casual clothes. Anna looked to her brother.
"Well I'm off to the airport to catch a redeye to Orlando. Nice meet you Daniel." She shook Rippers hand as he just nodded in response. "Tell Charlie bye for me." Anna told Josh.
"I will." He replied.
"Well, I better go as well. The girlfriend and I are going to my home in Rigby for a few days before spending the next week or two in Europe on tour. See ya round Josh." He left Josh alone waiting for Charlie. Pretty soon. Charlie came out with her two arena bags.
"Okay, now I just need to go and pack my arena bag and we can get going."
"Okay." Charlie said.
After Josh got changed and packed his arena bag. They both headed to the hotel.

When they arrived at the hotel after dropping by a sandwich shop, Josh went with Charlie to get her things from her room and led her to his room. Where they immediately prepped for bed. Once that was done, they made short work of their six inch sandwiches, Josh got the most meat filled sandwich the place had, as Charlie had a TCLT (Turkey, Chicken, Lettuce, and Tomato), after they finished eating and drinking some water from water bottles they got from the sandwich shop. Josh got in bed first and Charlie followed suit. When they were comfortable. Josh turned off the lights and he and Charlie held each other for the remainder of the night, a smile on each of their faces as they were once again together.
