17: Invites
*beep*
It was raining cats and dogs and I was just sitting down in front of the television, burying my face in the pillow. Today was hella exhausting day. And I guess the weather was dealing with me.
I've raised my hopes again when I saw Sophia a while ago. She's gorgeous. She changed for good.
As I was crossing the sea of thoughts, I felt my phone vibrated and interrupted me from wondering. I immediately picked it up and looked for someone who texted me. It was coming from I don't know who. It was unregistered contact.

Hey Patrick! It was me,Caryl! I was just wondering if you wanted to hang out with us, Me, Sophia and some of my friends just so that I'll make up to the day that I ignore you and your band. :) I'm glad to wait you in Cafe Belle tomorrow, 3:00 pm sharp x Caryl
I immediately headed in to the bathroom door and looked at my reflection in my mirror. Am I really ready to meet Sophia? Will she be ready to meet me too? Well, here goes everything.
I typed and slid the phone back to my pockets, sympathetically looking at my reflection. I sighed as I saw my pale chubby cheeks, and these sideburns. I really think it suits me though, it's just it grow so fast.
I opened the faucet and looked at the running water, I splashed a little amount in to my face and shook my head. I signed as the water wearily run down in to my cheeks, tears started to brim in to the edge of my eyes. I'm starting to miss Elisa again.
"Patrick! Open the fucking door!" Few knocks are short and soft, but when it repeated again and again, I nervously wiped my face with the soft towel and then opened the door.
As I stepped out of the room, I saw Joe standing annoyingly with his soaking wet clothes, his face was surely priceless. But before I could ask him what happened to him, he started to slam the door very loud.
"Holy smokes Joe! You need to learn how to shut the door properly without damaging anybody's eardrums!" I screamed as I stomped away from the door, I burst in to the sofa and then saw Andy is with me. He is just facing his teenage mutant ninja turtles comics and not paying attention to me.
"What happened to Joe?" I asked him as I started to peak in his shoulders. He snapped back and looked at me, I smiled and he just shrugged off.
Seriously? What's happening in this place? Why do they all look grumpy?
||SOPHIA'S POV||
I looked at the window pane, the rain started to pour and the raindrops fell on the transparent colored window, it makes me wonder where the hell did Georgina go. She's out for almost half the day and she never left me a word whether she's going home or not. She's just not visible somewhere. And the rain is falling hard and she's still not home. What if something will happen to her? What if she will have an accident because of the slippery road? I'm so scared about her. She's like my little sister and I can't afford to lose her. Like what happened to Elisa. I know she can handle herself but the world I'd just full of surprising things to happen.
I looked at my son who was playing with my hair while we stare in the complete sadness of the rain. It was hard but we feel comfortable in our situation, I need to keep him warm and safe, because with him, I already feel like that and I really love the little guy to the bones.
"Tristan, are you hungry hmmm??" I asked the little guy while I'm trying to stand him up, he just giggled at me and look at the wet surface of the window. I stare at it too, seeing a car that was parking in front of our doorway.
I guess it was Georgina's car. The car's headlights were now turned off, a click sound of the car was now audible, the rain was just kind of like mild now unlike before. I smiled at the little baby that I was handling, he looked at the car so much like he's waiting for someone to get out and pick him up. And reality check, the door just jungled open, it was Georgina who was already wet because she don't have umbrella with her.
"Wait there, I'll get you towel so you could dry up first before heading upstairs." I presented as I spoon Tristan up to my shoulders, he looked at Georgina like he wanted to go to her and play with her. The two have grown too close.
She smiled as she pushed the door close by her hips, shrug her shoulders and sighed. I walked in to the nearest bathroom and looked for a towel, then get out and gave her.
"Thank you Soff," she said as she picked the towel that was in the ground. I smiled in response and headed upstairs, leaving Tristan in his crib so I could prepare for our dinner.
"Uhm Georgina can you please look over Tristan after you've done changing your clothes?" I asked her before she shut the door, she smiled and nodded, I smiled and looked at Tristan, handed him his playing toys and leave the door unlocked so if something happened, I could easily get there.
I tripped my way downstairs and started to cook something great for dinner. I did made a chicken soup just so the food will satisfy our body temperature. Its just so cold and the rain hadn't stopped yet. Its still pouring but not that hard. Its just chilly because of mild air that's mixing with the rain.
I set down the pot as it was done for cooking, I set the other dishes that I prepared a little bit earlier and set the plates down too.
(Flashback)
"Ugh. The rain pours so bad." I said and looked at the sky, it was really dark and I can't get my way to our apartment.
"I can't call Elisa either. The thunder was raging and I don't know if I could do that," I hesitated, looked around for coming buses but there's nothing that I can see. The fog was not for my liking and I don't know if I could walk there because I have no umbrella with me.
I tried to notice if there's anyone on the road, there is no one. Except this guy coming from the other side of the shed. He looked my way. He was great looking actually, yet he is so far so I could only see that he's taller than me but it's just a little bit.
He darted a stare at me and took a few steps near me, I swear I just skipped a breath when he came near me. His face was so goddamn great, I can't find other words to say.
He stopped when he was just few inches away from me, his shoulders was near colliding in me, he looked at me and smiled, I know he's just trying hard to make it but yet it was safe to look at. His curly hair was just suiting his semi tanned skin, he was anything that I have dreamt of.
He just stood there, I looked at him with fear. What if he's a kidnapper or something?! I don't know how to use self defense mechanism! I just don't know how. What if he's a rapist? Ugh.
His soft semi tanned skin dumped carelessly on my shoulders, I glared at him, he just smiled and looked at my hands. I just feel like insecure about myself. His body was just so perfect. I don't know what to act around him.
"Hey, do you expect a cab to pass?" He asked as he just stare at the rain to pour down, I just gave him an uninterested look, he just smiled and slip his hands down his pocket, I looked again in to the other direction just waiting for a cab to pass us by. But unfortunately, the silence is just uncomfortable. I like the guy presence too. He make me feel sane under the raging storm. Just that, he is just a stranger to me.
I sighed as I slipped my hands in to the rain, I kind of feel like it's funny yet I love the way the rain fall on my skin. Its been ages since I last took a dance in the rain.
A big arm wrapped around my waist, I looked back to see the good looking guy who was now carrying me and and...
"AAAAAAH!" I yelled as the wild cold tickling raindrops fell in to me slowly bathing my skin and slightly soaking my head. He also splashed water on my face, slightly walked away from me and looked at the sky. It was wonderful to look at now. The view from here is just different. Good things come for those who waits.
"So if you ever just wonder what my name is, I am Joseph, you could call me Joe," he said as he offered his hands to me, I was taken aback but then I smiled and get out the doubt. I took his hands and shook it.
"My name is Tiffany, Sophia Tiffany Blews." I gladly said as we stomped out from the wet environment and get ourselves a fit walk in the cold street.
I smiled as my memories recalled such a bittersweet scenery on my life. Joe and I never really fit together at all. He's just so good for me. I'm not what he deserves. He deserves someone better than me though.
As I was crossing the sea of thoughts, I heard a click on my doorbell, I smiled and set the plates down together, looked at the door and opened it immediately without asking who's there. I clicked the door open, seeing nothing but just the raindrops and a dark sky. I looked around to see no one. I was about to close the door down when I saw a beautiful white envelope, I smiled and picked it up, close the door without looking from who it came from.
I carefully opened the letter, a neatly handwritten letter surprised my eyes. This letter must be very important because it was written in this prestigious paper. Like, why the hell would I care about the paper? I care about the letter. Ugh. What's happening to me?
I was about to open up the letter when I saw Georgina and Tristan hurrying to get down from the staircase, I immediately pocketed the letter and looked at them in disguise, they must be happy tonight even though the weather is just cooperating with my mood.
"So how's your day Georgina?" I asked her, she smiled and set down her spoon, slightly coughed and drank the orange juice.
"That's so sudden question but thank you for asking," she said in response as she took another sip from her OJ.
"Why? Is there something wrong?" I asked as I fed Tristan with the baby food and looked at her again. She just shook her head and then took another sip.
I shrugged off the thought. Maybe she need just to keep it up for herself.
After the dinner, I washed the plates and tucked Tristan in his bed. He was now sleeping soundly, so was Georgina. That girl was just so tired for whatever happened to her.
I opened up the letter as I slumped in to my queen bed, pillows supporting my back as I curled my knees bent next to my chest.
Hey Sophia! Its me, Caryl, I was just giving you an invitation for going out with us tomorrow. The day is great and you need to meet my friends. You know, just to have something to keep on winding up. Meet us tomorrow in Cafe Belle, 3pm sharp. ♡ Caryl
Ah. So it's just an invitation for a coffee tomorrow hmm? Sounds nice. I'd like to give it a try.
||CARYL'S POV||
Ugh. My head. It damn hurt. I rubbed my forehead and raise it up, causing my eyes to see an old clock ticking on the wall. It was now 45 minutes past 9. I clearly remember that the last time that Rhona and I talked was last 6:00. How come did I slept that far? Dammit.
"Hey Ms. Heavy sleeper," Rhona chimed in, I grunt in response and looked at her reaction. She just shrugged and looked at my desk, it was not the way I leave it though. Its a little bit quite organized than before.
"You and I need to get going, the guards will close the door anytime soon, pack your things and let's go." She demanded, I shrugged and picked my phone up. It suddenly vibrated.

Sure I'll be glad to meet you tomorrow :) is it okay if I'll bring Pete with me?
what the? Did I just asked a stranger for something? God. No. No. This can't be happening.
I immediately checked on my sent items but then there's completely nothing. Even in the contacts and stuffs in my phone was cleared. What the fuck happened? I browse up to see anything and to recall of I forgot something but no. I really can't remember anything aside from the fact that my head still swells because of that strong scent from somewhere. And that girl who wears all black like she came from a death or something.
I stare at Rhona who was amused by what I am doing. I was just flipping some of my things because I don't know what was happening to me.
"Rhonaaaa!!" I screamed and looked at my phone, she just raised her eyebrows and looked at me. "What happened to me? Patrick just freaking text me that I have to go to the coffee shop tomorrow, and I just don't texted them how...or freaking when! I don't know what to do Rhonaaa!" I pleaded and gave her my phone, I looked at her and she just cleared the lump in her throat.
"Okay, it's for us to find out," she said as she slipped my phone down.
