15: That Girl
We ran next to Sophia, but then she locked her door, not letting us in or either that girl who was running with her. The girl knocked several times but we couldn't hear anything. Instead, the girl looked at us, her eyes was surprised or something. She tilted her head down and excused her way to the hallway.
"Hey miss," Joe tried to call her, I was just there, standing with Pete and Andy. She slightly turned at us, gave us weak smile and look at the other direction, start to walk in to the hallway.
"What's your name please?" Joe interrogated her, with a pleasing in his tone. She looked at us and swallowed the lump on her throat, and finally took the courage to face us.
"Caryl." She uttered, I smiled and extended my hands out, she refused to take it at first but then her face was painted with a slight hint of pink, she took my hand gracefully and smiled. "I'm Patrick." I introduced myself, she nodded.
"I know you guys. You're like my idols for 2 or 3 years now." I was taken aback, she was a fangirl huh?
"Patrick," Pete interrupted us, I looked at him and he smiled to Caryl faintly. "Let me just talk to him." He sternly said, his tone of voice was sure do frightening.
"Please excuse us," I said while walking next to Pete, who was just around the corner of the beige colored wall.
"We still have TV guesting to go, we need to take rest." He said to me, I scoffed and looked at him.
"I don't need to take a rest. Besides, you could do the TV guesting without me. I need to know what Sophia and this girl was. I mean, I wanted to know Sophia... more." I said and let go of his tight grip, I walked far from him, just in where Joe and Andy was standing.
"Where's Caryl?" I ask them, Joe and Andy looked at me, surprised by my presence.
"She went away, but don't worry, we have her contacts. I'm sure she have contact of Sophia."Andy discussed, taking his headset off and gave me his phone.
"Good thing, Joe was pretty bad boy looking." I laughed at Andy's joke, Joe just rolled his eyes and looked at the door where Sophia locked herself.

Sophia's POV
I extremely feel sorry for Caryl. She get involved with this crazy thing that was happening to me. I just hope that after the chase, they left me again. Just like what they're always doing to me. Giving up. Even me, I gave up on myself too.
I wanted to cry. I wanted to storm off because I'm hearing these voices again. These voices that I never thought that will harm my thoughts, intoxicate my mind and drown me. I need to be strong because I am now a parent, not just an single girl who never dated anyone at all.
I gripped the stroller tight, made me stumble on my knees and face my son who was cooing and sticking his cute chubby little hands on my face, looks like he's brushing off those tears that was building on my eyes. I smiled and blink away those beads of tears, again, I'm getting intoxicated with the scream of my demons.
I brushed my hair in to my back and pull it up in to a bun.
I need to consult my friend. And its been a while ever since I hang out with anyone.
Maybe George will be free later aren't she? If she is, then I'll get her to watch Tristan because I'm kind of being gone for 2 hours or so.
"Hey buddy!" I cheered up, kissing his little hands that was pointing over my nose, playing with me again. "Would you behave for a while while mommy will be away?" I baby talked him, he just gave me his toothless grin and his bluish-green eyes sparkled. Guess he's agreeing with me then.
I just played with him until I watched the clock to pass by. I did elaborate myself about the article that I'm about to do, a character sketch about them just to have many fans who will be mad screaming their name. Got it.
After watching for Tristan to play with his baby play tools, I scribbled the details down in to a clean sheet of paper, slamming the yellow pointed pencil down the desk, facing my smudged handwriting and reviewing the details.
"They won't tell a thing about my behavior aren't they?" I wondered to myself as I recalled what I just did a while ago, which is truly embarrassing. I just ran away from the clients. I already told myself that I'll be professional but I just got away from them after jutting out those information that came from their mouth. The things that I wanted to ask never matter anyways. I never matter to them anyways.
If you never matter, why would they chase you?
I sighed and bumped my head in to the desk, slamming my hands down causing Tristan to give me an astonishing gasp and he was in the verge of crying. I shook my head and faced the black stroller, raised the cap then meet his bluish green eyes. He was pouting. His face was so heavy looking and his eyes was a little but watery.
"Sshhh.. Did mommy scare you?" I cooed, he sudden feel so calm so I had to pick him up and carry him. I stood him up in to the desk, engaging him in to my arms so ge won't stumble down below.
"I'm so sorry Tristan, they just can't find it out okay. They just can't." I sighed and kissed his cheeks dearly, his coo was the only thing I ever heard in response.

Caryl's POV
Hey Caryl! Could you call the gals out? I'm terribly sorry for a while ago. I just had to check my things out you know. Monthlies. ;) - Sophia
Oh, Sophia just texted me if I want to hang out huh? That's so unusual. She would really have the slim chance to have a lunch with us, she rarely get here in the office but I see the girl is really nice.
It was already an hour or so after the guys from Fall Out Boy, which is my favorite band got away. God! I even talked to them and gosh. Patrick was way too adorable in person than I thought he is! That was very embarrassing but definitely worth it! I even talked to Joe and Andy! But there's one thing though. Pete.
Pete was grumpy. I thought he wasn't. He was nice in the other interviews, he might be the emoest of them but I never thought that he need to act so tough in front of other people.
I was just sitting in the black swivel chair, in the front if the foggy windshields across the room. I was facing my book that I just get from somewhere that Arian and I usually go.
Speaking of hanging out, why won't I introduce her to Arian and the gals? I think she needs to be MORE sociable than to be an introvert. She's not a teen anymore and she was already a parent which seem to be cool anyways. And besides, staying single isn't a good thing for her. She's getting older. Not younger. And she really need a partner who would give her motivations to live and love everything.
I flipped the carton scented page in the other side, read the small font size of the typewritten words in the page. I folded the page in to columns, just so that I won't forget what I just read.
I tilted my head in to other direction seeing Rhona, the executive director "slash" cousin of mine approaching my direction. I smiled as she dropped two cups of coffee down my desk.
"So.. How did the interview went?" She asked as she peeled the coffee lid off the mouth, she took a sip anticipating for my answer.
I turn my swivel chair in to her, she was raising her eyebrows while I was losing the pool of words to say.
"Well, the questions were good, that was made me fascinated. She deserved the promotion though. I also have read some of her articles and how could you not notice her mind blowing articles hmm?" I replied bluntly, she just sighed and looked at the clock.
"Well my breaks over."she joked, I just rolled my eyes in the fact that she's changing the subject
"Of course I know she has a lot of mind blowing potential but you know, like you, she have to work hard for what she wanted to achieve. Its not like you have the talent means you could reach for your aim easily without wasting just a single sweat and breaking a little of your leg." She chuckled and sipped her coffee soundly, I looked at her. She eventually loses her professionalism when she's talking to me. But I guess, she have a strong point. No wonder why she was now the executive director in a young age.
"Well, enough of our job. I was wondering if you wanted to hang out with us later? I just want to let the others know Sophia. She's less sociable than we ever notice!" I joked, getting my phone from my pocket and looked at her response. She shrugged her shoulder and leaning on the hallway, walking away from me.
But not from a distance, she shouted. "I might have a try later. Just text me where to meet you."
Silly girl.
I was about to stand up but I saw a girl who was still wandering around even though this point of area was off limits to not employees. She was surely not an employee by the way that she dress, she has a black curly hair that was tied in to a pony, she was wearing a shades that have the very strong tint so I really couldn't figure what she looks like. Besides, her nose was the only one that was exposed because her mouth was covered by something I couldn't describe.
She also wears a black suit dress, more looks like a jumpsuit that turned in to a dress that was up to her knees, the jumpsuit has a zipper in front of the dress, I think she had a great style of fashion then.
I was about to stand up but I smell a intoxicating scent that I ever have smell. Before I even know, I was already out of track.
(Thank you for reading! I hope you guys have enjoyed this one! Have a great day ahead! Take care :* )
