the argument

It was now December. Sonya and Jupiter got married. Their grandmother wanted to be there so they had a secret wedding in their house, with just the grandmother and the priest. The grandmother was currently going through some heart problems so she was trying to get things done before her time on earth was completed.

One of them was seeing their grandchild get married. They both weren't one-hundred percent on board but it was getting out of hand the number of people that hit on the two of them so they obliged. But they both don't regret it and were glad that Jupiter's grandmother made them do it.

Yelena had texted Sonya about Natasha in November. Specifically, who killed her. Sonya didn't believe that though. Clint had called her and told her himself, and she also knew that Natasha and Clint were best friends. Sonya had a hard time liking or believing Valentina but she was Yelena's new boss.

Currently, Sonya was waiting for Jupiter to come home. They had just gotten a job to work alongside Bruce Banner, so they were excited, to say the least. Sonya had just finished working for the day and slowly went to her kitchen to get some water.

"Sonya, get ready!" She heard Yelena from outside the door. Sonya scrunched her nose in confusion before she heard the front door open. Yelena, dressed in her widow outfit.

Sonya watched as Yelena tossed her costume for her to grab but she didn't. She couldn't.

"No," Sonya stated. You could tell the fear in her voice. Yelena just looked at her confused.

"What do you mean, we're going to avenge Natasha," Yelena explained to her but Sonya just shook her head and turned away, her hands laying on the table.

"I can't do it," she mumbled, mostly to herself.

"What?" Yelena asked confused.

"I can't do it," Sonya repeated. That only pissed Yelena off more.

"Why?"

"Why? What do you mean why? I have a normal life now. I left that behind me," Sonya replied as if it was obvious.

"You did. But what about Natasha? She doesn't deserve to be killed like that," Yelena scoffed.

"What if she wasn't killed? What if Valentina is feeding you lies?" Sonya snapped.

"Then how is she dead?" Yelena snapped back.

"Maybe she sacrificed herself. Like Stark," Sonya reasoned angrily.

"Natasha wouldn't do that without saying goodbye," Yelena reasoned.

"You were gone! How could she have said goodbye!" Sonya practically cried at her.

"I-" Yelena tried to say but sonya grabbed her shoulder to quiet her.

"No. Natasha's gone. You need to accept that. The avengers did, Rick did, Melina and Alexei did, I did And I'm horrible with mourning." Sonya took a deep breath, "I know it's hard, but I promise you, it'll get better. It's your turn now." Sonya declared as she went to get her water.

Yelena shook her head. She was gone. She thought Sonya thought she was too good to do it. She thought she didn't care about Natasha when it was the exact opposite.

Yelena didn't know if it was the vodka or her talking but she felt pissed at her sister.

"I wish you had died instead of Natasha," Yelena muttered without realizing Sonya hadn't stormed off. Sonya's feelings had mixed and she was in a current state of anger and sadness.

"And I wish I hadn't heard that," Sonya whispered just enough so Yelena could hear. Yelena turned but Sonya was ready for her to go.

"You need to leave," Sonya spoke bitterly, offended that someone she cared about obviously wasn't giving two shits about her feelings. Yelena didn't budge trying to apologize but the words never really formed a sentence.

"Son, no, I didn't mean it like that," Yelena walked over to sonya, who was sitting down on her couch.

Sonya wasn't having any of it. "Get out," she cried as she swatted Yelena's hand away from her. It stayed silent until Jupiter walked in with their lab coat still on.

Jupiter stared at her as Yelena stormed out. Jupiter walked over to Sonya who saw Jupiter's upset face.

"Hey, what's wrong love?" Sonya asked as Jupiter sat down. Jupiter explained about a douche in their lab that kept messing with them during an extremely serious experiment.

Sonya reassured them that they were not doing anything wrong and that the person was just being an asshole. They both went to bed and fell asleep tangled in each other.

The next morning Yelena had texted her about what she had done. Sonya rolled her eyes but didn't reply. She didn't have the time or patients for her right now. For now, she was going to talk to someone.

Clint Barton.

She opened the door that led her out of her apartment to find a letter addressed to her. She knew Clint was bothered by the fact that a widow had attacked them.

She picked it up to read the address to the avenger's monument. She grabbed her coat then closed her door. Sonya locked her door before rushing out of her apartment. She strolled to the monument to see Clint on his knees, probably talking to Natasha.

She walked slowly towards them as she saw Clint finish his conversation. She gently patted his shoulder to let him know that she was there. He slowly stood up.

"I was attacked by a widow," He started simply.  Sonya nodded slowly. As much as she didn't enjoy Yelena right now, she wasn't going to spill it. She was still her sister.

"That's terrible," She commented. Clint nodded his head. He seemed to be upset about the whole situation.

"I need to talk to you about that, I have a job for you," He mumbled before showing her a photo of the fighter from the cameras. It was Yelena.

"Can you find who she is? I can't offer you much but-" Clint spoke anxiously, looking for his wallet. Sonya grabbed his arm.

"Don't. Consider me doing this for free as a Christmas gift," Sonya replied, letting go of Clint's arm. Clint smiled and nodded as they slowly walked away from each other satisfied.

Sonya now knew for a fact Clint didn't kill Natasha. He obviously felt guilty. She saw the guilt rise whenever he would stare at her. He wouldn't even be calling her for help if he had killed her. Clint was a killer, but not Natasha's. Their friendship was too important to him.

The next day Sonya had let Yelena know that she forgave her for what she said. But she doesn't want to kill Barton. Yelena knew that Sonya wasn't going to budge on that so she hugged her sister before going out.

Sonya watched her leave before going her own way. Where currently Clint and Kate wait for her arrival. She knew it was bad to spill her secrets but Clint knows about Yelena. Natasha has spoken to him about both of them. Sonya knew because of the call Clint gave her.

She made her way to the address and knocked on the door. A man whom she didn't know opened the door and welcomed her in. She smiled as she made her way to the table.

"Sonya Clover-Petrov," Sonya introduced herself to Kate.

"Kate Bishop," She responds with her name as she brings her hand out for sonya to shake. Sonya took her hand as they shook it.

"I know Yelena was the one who attacked you two, I'm sorry I didn't say anything it was astonishingly rude but I didn't want her to get hurt," Sonya spoke sitting down. Clint nodded in understanding. Natasha did the same when he was in a bad state.

"I tried to stop her but she wouldn't budge. She thinks you killed Nat. That's why she despises you, she was given false information," Sonya explained to Clint.

"Is that why she snuck into my house to make mac and cheese and explain that to me?" Kate spoke up. Sonya shrugged and nodded.

"Well, before we plan anything, let's eat," Clint replied as the man, grill, gave us some food a little later. The grill was making lucky the dog dance while Kate and Sonya watched in awe.

"Wait, let me try," Katie picked up some food but Lucky only jumped up to get it making Sonya chuckle and rub his belly.

"So, are we good?" Sonya asked Clint.

"I may need your help as payment for not telling me about Yelena if who we think is coming comes," he whispered back. She nodded but she knew she wouldn't have to do anything drastic.

Kate got a message that seemed to scare her. Clint tried calling her name to get her attention but it didn't work until she showed her phone in front of the duo.

"Look at this. Who's that with my mom?" Kate asked.

"Oh shit," Sonya muttered. She knew that this mission was not going to be fun anymore.

"Well, That's the guy I've been worried about this whole time," She watched Kate's face turn into a mix of confusion and scared. She couldn't blame her, this was her first time doing hero shit.

"We. We've been worried about," Sonya murdered. She grabbed her phone and went to text Yelena. About him. Sonya doubted she'll listen but Yelena deserved to know who he was.

"Kingpin, you son of a bitch." Sonya muttered as Clint began to explain the things he's done and why he's a bad guy.
