SIXTY FOUR

I wake up inside a growingly familiar room with Taehyung by my side. He's still asleep with his arm draped across my torso, his features tranquil. Carefully I lift his heavy limb off me and escape his comfortable hold.

Jimin is sitting at the wooden table in the living area, a slice of toast between his teeth. He can't speak due to the temporary obstruction so settles on a greeting wave, instead.

"Morning," I say quietly, careful not to speak too loud as I'm pretty sure everyone else is still asleep. "What time is it?"

He responds by outstretching his arm and showing me his watch which reads 09:35. That's early for me, I'm not exactly a morning person and I know Jimin isn't either.

"You're awake early." I observe.

"I didn't really sleep, to be honest." Jimin admits with a little, somewhat forced smile.

"You didn't?"

He shakes his head. "No. Well, I slept for about an hour at the most. I mean, that's something, right?"

"Jimin, are you okay?" I ask, now worried. I hadn't noticed that the rings underneath his eyes had grown darker.

"I'm fine, honestly. I just find it difficult to sleep after, you know...what happened."

"You should see a doctor or something, that isn't right." I try my hardest to advise him but I don't sound particularly convincing, just helpless.

"I'm fine, Violet," he says, standing. "I'm gonna go in the shower before Namjoon wakes up, okay?"

"OK, see you soon." I force a smile as he disappears into the bathroom, my mind clouded with worry.

Jimin is the type to never verbalise his feelings which worries me further. I feel as though he'd never admit to them even if he was struggling greatly.

I decide to prepare everyone and myself some breakfast whilst I wait, partially to kill time and also to feed my empty stomach. An array of eggs and bacon later, Taehyung appears by the doorframe of our temporary bedroom. His hair is tousled across his forehead and his eyes are tired.

"Baby, come back to bed." He pleads in a whiny tone that is coated with sleepiness. I don't think I'll ever quite get over the sound of his voice in the morning.

"It's almost 10am, babe."

"Exactly!" He half exclaims, half mumbles. "Come on, ten more minutes, that's all."

"Fine." I give in. I mean, who could resist?

A considerable time after ten minutes, everyone else begins waking up. I hear clattering from inside the kitchen and quiet chattering.

"Come on, get dressed." I advise to Taehyung who lies in his plaid pyjamas.

"Fine."

He changes into a shirt, that is creased due to being tightly folded into his suitcase, and a pair of ripped jeans before we make our way into the living area. Everyone besides Eunki and Sehun, who I assume are still sleeping, are surrounding the dining table eating the meal I prepared.

"Good morning, lovebirds," Namjoon calls, offering a little wave. "Did you make breakfast, Vi? It was mysteriously here when we woke."

"I did." I smile, taking a seat. Taehyung sits beside me and reaches for a plate, quickly layering it with the food I cooked.

"What are we doing today?" Yoongi asks nobody in particular.

"We're having a bonfire when it gets dark," Eunki announces, emerging from nowhere. As usual, Sehun follows closely behind. "I thought that, until then, we could wander around and just explore a little. Apparently there's a lake somewhere nearby."

"Sounds good to me." I smile.

After breakfast is devoured we all head back into our rooms to change. We're in the middle of woodland but it's still fairly warm outside, so I settle on a sweater and jeans. I tug on my boots as I wait for Taehyung to finish changing clothes in the bathroom.

"Tae, you almost finished? I need to do my makeup." I call from outside, knocking on the door gently.

"I'll be a minute. Don't be impatient, woman." He says back and I laugh.

After we're both finished we head back into the living area where everyone else is sitting.

"Took you long enough," Eunki rolls her eyes jokingly. "Are you sure changing was all you were doing?"

"Yes, of course." I exclaim, slapping her arm. She laughs and I do too, partially due to the irony of our roles reversing for a second.

"Come on, let's get going." Yoongi says, opening the door and allowing us all to walk outside.

It truly is beautiful here; the sun is peaking through the branches of the trees and glistening like the stars. It's still early meaning the sky is still a bright blue hue and the sun is a dazzling orange.

"Violet, could you please lock the door?" Eunki asks. "My key is inside my bag and I can't be bothered to get it out."

"Fine." I laugh whilst taking the spare key from my back pocket.

I lock the rather large wooden door and check it before we head on our travels. I pray Eunki has an idea of the route; I don't want to find ourselves lost in this huge forrest. Taehyung holds my hand and begins to swing our arms back and forth like a child, but I don't mind because it's quite cute.

After ten or so minutes of walking, we find ourselves nearing the lake Eunki mentioned. It's a lot bigger than I expected it to be, and it even has ducks swimming on its surface.

"Oh my god, they're so cute!" Seokjin exclaims, and for a split moment, I actually fear he's going to run into the lake and join them.

Namjoon and Jimin carried backpacks, both of which contain blankets that we lay down onto a flat piece of the ground. We sit in a messy circle on top of the thin blankets, Taehyung and Eunki either side of me.

"I don't want to sound cheesy here, guys, but I really do love you all," Eunki says out of nowhere, surprising us. "I know some pretty crappy things have happened to us but we've always pulled through. I wouldn't have gotten through them without you all, though."

For at least two hours we have heart-to-heart conversations, our words spilling out like rain from the sky. It's amazing to feel so close to everyone, besides Sehun, of course, because I don't really know him too well.

"We should head back soon," Namjoon advises. "It'll start getting dark anytime now and we should have dinner before the bonfire."

So we do, and luckily we return to the cabin safely.

"Violet!" I hear Eunki whine in a jokingly annoyed tone.

"What?" I ask with a little frown.

"You forgot to lock the door! We could have been burgled or anything."

"I did lock the door," I insist, now confused. "I even checked."

"You obviously didn't, though," Eunki laughs. "It's okay, it doesn't matter. Everybody makes mistakes and it's not like there's anyone else here to break in."

"Sorry about that." I say quietly, inwardly cursing myself. I'm sure I checked, but maybe I just forgot.

"It's fine, babe. Stop apologising." Taehyung says, offering the smile that I love.

Taehyung's words are always like a spell on me; I instantly listen. My confusion is swiped away and I begin to help Seokjin cook our dinner.

"Violet, come and help me collect the wood for the fire," Jimin asks, more like states, after a few minutes. I look towards Seokjin and back to Jimin who's now pouting like a baby. "Please!"

"Are you okay with that?" I ask Jin.

"Yeah, of course. Go on, it's okay." He smiles.

"Okay, Jimin, I'll help you." I say and leave the cabin with him, feeling a little guilty for leaving Seokjin to cook us all meals alone.

"Wait up, guys!" I hear Taehyung shout and I instantly turn around, watching as he jogs towards us. "Can I come too?"

"No, you're not allowed." Jimin teases.

"You couldn't cope with being away from me?" I ask jokingly and Taehyung laughs.

"Always."
