Fairytale AU/Strange Magic AU

This year to Poppy's happiness Branch actully came to the festival but, Poppy didn't see Branch much at the festival since she was so very focused on her new boyfriend. Every time he tried to talk to and spend time with her Branch either didn't see him or her date took her attention away from him. It stired some silent jealousy in Poppy which he was compressing.

Now the afterparty is going on. There are lovely decorations matching the Valentine's Day theme with loud to soft and romantic music playing outside. Poppy looks up at the night sky thinking about when he could have Branch all to him and just talk like he wanted to earlier. He is leaning his back against a tree with many pods hanging from it high above. The Pop Prince is wearing festive light purple shorts,Red vest with a collar and a light purple bandana with pink and red hearts on it.

Then Poppy brings his head back to the party and to delight he can see Branch walking away from the crowd without her new man! A big smile appears on his face. She actually came... He couldn't see her fully but, he knew it was her. Nobody is as beautiful and stands out like Branch does. She is special and is always on his rader.

" Hey Branch!",Poppy calls out.

Branch's ears subtly peck up at Poppy's voice so she turns with an innocent smile on her face. She is wearing a beautiful and sleeveless bright red dress with sweetheart neckline,pleated skirt and little pink hearts on the bottom of the skirt. The dress looked flattering on her figure without showing anything.

The love Potioned troll walks over to Poppy happily. Since Poppy isn't the troll the Love Potion made her fall in love with she isn't going act all love sick around. Poppy is awe by how she looks in her dress as she walked over to him. She looked beautiful in it.

" Wow! You look amazing!",Poppy complements amazed.

" Thanks. It was my mom's dress surprisingly. I didn't have anything to wear that looked nice. ", Branch says happily and honestly.

Poppy becomes happier at how Branch was opening up to him more than before. A smile appears on his face since he actually got what he wanted afterall. Being welcomed into her life for once felt so good. Then the Prince remembers something making him become confused.

" Wait I still have your invitation. How did you?...",Poppy says confused.

" Rockie brought me as his plus one. He asked me to go with him. ",Branch says honestly.

Poppy's ears drop a little. He feels disappointed and yet a little jealous that Branch didn't come because of him. She came because, of someone else. It hurt a little for moment but,Poppy hides it trying to be positive about it. She come to the party at least.

"Well I'm happy that you came. I actually still have your invitation in my hair. You should have it.", Poppy says happily.

The Pop Prince gives her a sweet smile as he takes out the special invitation from his hair. Branch looks at it surprised. She had forgetten about it. The blue troll smilies up at Poppy softly at the thoughtful gesture. She slowly takes the invitation from him accepting it happily. Poppy's heart unknowingly to him jumps joyfully at the fact she is accepting it. It means a lot to him.

Then just as Poppy was about to say something after Branch had put her invitation in her hair,Rockie suddenly appears right behind his date! He wraps his arms around and pulls her body against him. There is smile on his face as he rests his head on her shoulder. Branch was surprised by Rookie as he did so. Poppy frowns unhappily at the action. Rockie's presence makes Branch become more affected by the love potion instead of remaining normal.

" What did I miss,Babe?",Rockie says.

"Oh nothing.", Branch says lovingly to Rockie.

It didn't please Poppy to hear that suddenly his invitation wasn't important anymore but,before he could say anything Rockie stole Branch away from him once again. The Prince was left alone as he saw the couple dance the night away acting all lovey dovey. Poppy couldn't shake off the feeling that said that it should be him dancing with Branch.

A month later... Branch and Rockies are still under the love potion magic as expected but,the love potion revealed how romantic Branch really was when the magic didn't put her on hyper love. Poppy would be surprised how she would cook and bake for her picnics with Rockie,write poetry about him,treat him with so much care and would fuse on over him. Poppy never knew she had that side to her and seeing her behave around Rockie sometimes seemed almost familiar to Poppy.

Rockie wasn't actually making much of an effort as much as Branch did. He mostly did more receiving than giving Branch something thoughtful or amazing. Branch actually would unknown compare him to Poppy from time to time But,would shake it off immediately cause of the love potion. The magic kept her loyal to Rockie's lazy side.

Poppy had actually managed to get time with Branch. She would always be herself around him and just talked. It was like the love potion almost wasn't affecting her. The Prince found out about so many things that he never thought Branch would do or be interested in. She had kept all his invitations,had a big taste for chocolate,protected Trollstopia from predators and missed her family deeply.

Right now Poppy is hanging out with Branch since Rockie cancelled last minute on her. He was trying to cheer her up by taking her on a hot air balloon ride which Branch brought her picnic basket filled what was suppose to be her and Rockie's lunch. She had decided to make lunch since he didn't have any money to pay for lunch himself.

The two friends are enjoying the light lunch as they watch from above. Poppy licks his fingers happily as Branch rolled her eyes playfully then smiles fondly at his antics. Sure it was a bit childish but, at the same time she found it kind of adoring that he is acting like that.

" Your cooking is amazing!", Poppy complements amazed.

" It's not that good...", Branch says shyly and modestly.

" Your modesty gives your skills no justice. Trust me you can cook. ", Poppy says happily and proudly with a playful tone.

Branch puts up the basket and closes it. Poppy had eaten most of the light lunch. The Hot Air Balloon starts to slowly go down as she puts the basket by her feet. Poppy smiles at her adoringly as she puts her arms on top of each other on the railing. She looks out at Trollstopia.

" Glad you think so. Rockie never seemed to enjoy my cooking that much. He isn't like you. ", Branch says honestly and softly.

Poppy frowns and looks at Branch as he notices a little subtle sadness in her tone which disappeared as quick as it came. He never told Branch but, since she started dating Rockie Poppy felt like Rockie wasn't treating her like he should. There is so many things Poppy would do that Rockie never even thought of doing for Branch. It kind of annoyed Poppy a lot to see it happen.

" You know how it is. He has stuff to deal with. I guess I just was expecting too much sometimes. ", Branch says honestly and softly.

The Hot Air Balloon slowly and softly lands onto the grass as Poppy continues to stare at Branch. He disagreed with the idea that she was expecting too much. If anything she deserves the best and it was clear she wasn't getting that. The Prince had enough at this point of keeping quiet so he brings his hand to Branch's face and gently pulls head back to him.

" No,Branch. Your funny ,sweet ,caring ,smart ,strong and most thoughtful troll I know! Your perfect in your own and special way. If I had the perfect woman anything like you then I would make the time to show her and spend almost everyday with her,find ways to make her happy and so much more. And if Rockie can't see how great you are then he can just - ", Poppy says honestly,softly,lovingly and serious but,gets cut off.

" I can just what? Be careful with what you say before I decide to destroy your pod. ",Rockie's voice says out of nowhere.

" Rockie?", Branch says surprised.

Branch turns around immediately to see Rockie. He is standing close to the Hot Air Balloon door and let's himself in. The red and pink colours of their eyes brighten up increasing the affects of the love potion. Poppy gently bites his bottom lip with an a subtle annoyed look in his eyes. Rockie wraps an arm around Branch's shoulder and plants a kiss on cheek.

' Sure. You come to spend time with her when it suits you. I had to take every chance I got just to be around her since Day One! ',Poppy thought annoyed and jealous.

" What are you doing here? I thought you were busy. ", Branch says happily.

" I came to apologize for cancelling last minute. I also brought your favourite flowers. I'm sorry about ditching you. Next time I won't do it again.", Rockie says happily.

Then Rockie pulls out a bouquet of periwinkles from his back. They weren't Branch's favourite flowers. Branch looks at the flowers unsure what to say at first but, takes them from Rockie.

" Periwinkles aren't actually my favourite but, their lovely so apology accepted. ", Branch says happily and softly.

Poppy couldn't believe what he was seeing! Was Rockie even trying to make an effort? Poppy apologizes better than that for his mistakes and here Rockie is halfwaying it! And he knows for a fact Branch's real favourite flowers are red Roses! As much as the Prince wanted to say something he kept his mouth shut.

Both Branch's and Poppy's hug watches go off together in that moment. Instead of hugging Branch's eyes widen as she remembers something she has to do in six minutes! She had completely forgetten that she promised to help the Country Trolls with building a barn! The blue troll quickly runs out of the balloon in a hurry as Rockie and Poppy watch her.

" I'm Really Sorry! I have to go help build a barn in six minutes! Thanks for the ride,Poppy, and I'll see you later Rockie!", Branch apologizes in a hurry and sincerely.

The two men see her disappear quickly as she ran. Then Poppy folds his arms while turning to and glaring at Rockie. The Rock troll turns around slowly to Poppy. It takes him a minute to notice the look the Prince is giving him.

" What's your problem?", Rockie to blankly.

" What's my problem? Her favorite flowers are red Roses and this isn't the first time you cancelled on her last minute! Your only doing good enough for Branch. You can't keep on doing that. Branch isn't some random girl you see everyday! She's perfect and one of a kind!",Poppy says seriously.

Rockie let's out a sigh. The affects of the love potion made him feel guilty about not giving Branch more. The Rock troll knew Poppy was right. The Prince unfolds his arms as Rockie reponded to him.

" I know but, don't know how. She doesn't expect anything fancy but, it's like she has to go out of her way to do something for me that I never asked for! How do you beat that?", Rockie says unhappily and honestly.

" Well you better up your game and treat her like a Queen! ... I would had treat her as mine...", Poppy says seriously then softly to himself.
