Modern AU/Kidnapped AU

Somewhere in the island forest Branch and Poppy are sleeping in a empty tree stump. They snuggle as they sleep peacefully. The sun's warm rays goes into the stump slowly gently waking up Branch and Poppy. Poppy looks at Branch and smiles at her happily.

"Morning...", Poppy greets sleepy.

Branch opens her eyes and looks up at Poppy.

" Oh morning Poppy...",Branch says sleepy.

Then Branch sits up and stretches her arms. Poppy notices how the sunlight makes Branch's skin look raident. Branch's natural beauty always put Poppy in awe.

"I'll get us some breakfast. Hopefully there is fresh fruit around.", Branch says as she slowly gets up.

Poppy gets up as well.

" How about I do it?",Poppy suggests.

Branch turns to Poppy unsure. The pink troll notices it.

"It's not like something bad is going happen.", Poppy says.

Then Branch puts an hand on her hip while raising an eyebrow. Branch knows what fruits are safe to eat. Poppy on the other hand will probably eat the first one he sees. She remembers one time when he ate a kind of Berry that trolls can't eat then he puffed up like a beach ball.

" Oh come on,Branch. Please...",Poppy says a little annoyed then hopeful.

"Fine! You can help...", Branch says.

A few days pass. Poppy and Branch has been surviving in the forest and have been trying to figure out how to get home. They honestly don't know where they are. They have been traveling through the forest in order to find a way out.

Branch decides to get herself cleaned up. She goes to a lake then behind a bush. Poppy sits by a near by tree talking to himself. He wants to tell Branch how he feels about her. That he loves her...

" I can do this. I just need to tell her. How hard could it be?",Poppy says to himself.

Poppy gets up and walks in the direction he saw Branch went in. He reaches the lake but, he can't see Branch. He walks to some near by bushes unaware that Branch is busy undressing behind one of them. Poppy pushes two bushes apart immediately stops then jumps back as Branch screams!

"Sorry!", Poppy yells panicked.

He is blushing so much that his face is dark pink and hot. He had just saw Branch completely naked! All of her hidden parts put on display. And he liked what he saw! Poppy feels guilty but,at the same time not.

He immediately turns around then walks away looking like something naughty happened. That night, Branch and Poppy in front of the fire with space between them. Poppy awkwardly moves closer to Branch.

" Hey. I'm sorry about earlier. I didn't know that you were you know...",Poppy apologized.

Branch looks at Poppy still feeling embarrassed. She thinks for a minute while looking into Poppy's eyes. She can see the honesty in them. Branch decides to forgive since he didn't know that she was naked.

"It's okay. I forgive you.", Branch says softly.

" Really? So your not mad?",Poppy asks surprised.

Branch shakes her head in response implying that she's not mad. A smile spreads across Poppy's face.

"Don't mention it. Seriously don't mention to anyone that it happened!", Branch says serous and uncomfortable.

Poppy just laughs at how cute she looks when embarrassed. As the night carries on Branch and Poppy talk for hours. The two trolls laugh at something from their past adventures.

" That was priceless! ", Poppy comments .

"Yeah...", Branch agrees softly.

Then they both turn their heads to each other. They gaze into each other's eyes. Branch starts talking wanting to know something.

" I have been wondering about something... Why did come looking for me after disappeared? Anybody else probably carried on with their lives or would just leave it with the police but,you didn't... ",Branch says curious and honest.

Poppy let's out a sigh as he thinks back.

" Cause the day you were declared missing was the day my world felt like it stopped and broke. The idea of you not in my life is something that I never wanted to happen! I was afraid I was never going to see you again... I couldn't stand the idea of you being lost or hurt or held captive while I did nothing but, sit around waiting the police solve your case for a long time... I had to do something so I tried to help the police but,they didn't allow me to help after I told them everything I knew about you. Many other trolls kept on insisting that I stop waiting everyday for the police to call,checking in constantly and trying to help look for you but, I couldn't do it...",Poppy explains honestly and sad.

Branch is surprised by Poppy's story. Her heart warms at the idea that Poppy would go through all that trouble for her.

" The police kept on refusing my help as the six months passed. They had gotten nowhere and I heard them say that they were going to discontinue the investigation... At that point I had enough so I started officially doing my own investigation. I honestly would had done it sooner if it wasn't for everyone else... Then I got caught like you did and kept on trying to escape with thought of getting my life back and finding you... I didn't know you were in the same place as me until you were put into the same cage... Finding you was worth it all...",Poppy says honestly.

Branch couldn't believe that Poppy would go through all that just to find her! She thought that he was crazy and stupid but, at the time brave and selfless. She feels special right now. Her heart skips a beat.

"So you left Pop,started an investigation of your own,put yourself through hell just find and see me?", Branch asks in disbelief.

Poppy nods his while smiling. He would honestly do it all over again if he could go back in time. He loves Branch and nothing could stop him from trying to keep her in his life! He will do anything for her!

" You may be crazy and stupid sometimes but, your the most brave,most caring and most selfless troll I ever met... And I did nothing to deserve what you did...",Branch admits.

Branch meant what she said. Poppy on the other hand felt otherwise. She did so many things for him,even saved him. Not everything she did for him was big but,in the end it all meant something to Poppy. He smiles at Branch then reaches for Branch's hand. He holds it gently.

"Well actually to me you do deserve it... You did many things for me,both big and small. You mean a lot to me,Branch...", Poppy says honestly and with his heart.

Branch smiles at Poppy. She feels happy. She's happy that she got stuck here with Poppy. Sure she wishes he was back home and safe but, he always was the troll she enjoyed going on adventures with even know she didn't always admit it.

Poppy loves seeing Branch smile. Making Branch happy has always been a goal for Poppy. Even after she got her colours back before he still tried to make her feel happy when she was sad. Even when Chef still had them in a cage he would try to cheer her up.

Both Branch and Poppy gaze into each other's eyes with a loving a look. Without realizing it,Poppy and Branch both lean forward while closing their eyes. Their hearts beat together at the same rhythm. Just as they are about to kiss a bird makes a loud call making Branch jump into Poppy's arms scared.

Meanwhile in Chef's hideout, Troy walks to his boss's office nervous. He had not found the escaped trolls. Troy stops at the door and let's out hesitant sigh. Then he goes into Chef's office.

" YOU DIDN'T FIND!?THEIR TINY CREATURES! THEY COULDN'T GO VERY FAR!",Chef yells angrily.

The next morning, Branch and Poppy are searching for a way to get off the island. Branch has some hints of her colours back but,their still look pale and faded. They find a berry bush and reach out to grab the same berry. Their hands touch causing both trolls to look at each other and blush. Poppy takes the berry they were touch then breaks it into two halves. Unknownly to both trolls,Chef walks quietly to the open clearing. He smirks as he watches the two trolls eat the berries.

"So they thought they could get away?", Chef says evilly and lowly.

Poppy and Branch walk to the other side of the clearing while holding hands without realizing it. They are completely unaware that they are being watched. They quickly get out of the clearing into more thick forest. They stopped holding hands.

" Be careful...",Branch tells Poppy as they walk.

Soon both trolls start hearing the sea. They quickly run onto the beach. At first the light blinded them but,then their eyes start settling as they block the sun from their eyes. It has been a while since they have been in the sun like this. Their bodies feel warmer from the heat. Branch and Poppy look around then notice a boat but,not just any boat! It's one of Chef's boats! Both trolls immediately backed up and hide after noticing Troy unloading the speedboat. The trolls watch and listens to the Bergens. Suddenly they see another Bergen take the big box.

"Be careful with that! Chef needs it for after we find the missing trolls...", Troy says serous.

Branch and Poppy look at each other sharing the same worried look. They quickly go back to watching the Bergens. Then suddenly a small dart, for a trolls especially, filled with very strong sleeping medicine hits Poppy's side. The pink troll feels quick pain at first. The dart immediately takes affect! Poppy feels a little dizzy and sleepy.

" Branch? ",Poppy says so dizzy that it made Poppy sound like he is drunk.

Branch turns to her friend. She is confused right now. What gotten into him?

" Poppy? -",Branch says as Poppy starts falling to ground in front of her!

Her eyes widen and she immediately catches Poppy! Poppy let's out a yawn as he looks up at Branch. Branch looks down at Poppy and sees the dart! Her eyes become wider as she quickly realizes what happened and that someone saw them!

"You look... so adorable...confused...",Poppy says sleepy as he closes his eyes while resting his head on Branch's shoulder.

" No!No!No! Stay With Me,Poppy!",Branch says fast and scared.

Branch can feel Poppy getting heavier as he officially falls asleep. Suddenly a similar dart to Poppy's hits Branch's side through her dress! Branch feels the pain but,then it is quickly replaced with dizziness and tiredness. She feels weak as she tries to stand up while holding Poppy.

"Well,why ain't this peachy?", Branch says scarcasitic and sleepy.

The female troll does her best to stay awake but,is struggling. The fact that Poppy sleeping on top of her is not helping! Branch let's out an yawn.

" Must...Stay...awake and get us out of here... ", Branch says sleepy.

Then Branch's eyes shut close as her body starts to lean backwards. She falls onto her back onto the sand with Poppy laying on top of her. A large Bergen shadow looms over them...
