Fairytale AU

Smidge looks up at Millie but, when he is about to speak Millie hears something. She turns her head around trying to figure out where the sound came from. Smidge notices so he changes his mind on what he was going to say.

"What's wrong?", Smidge asks.

" Something sounds off...",Millie says.

Then suddenly a large red ball of energy hits both Millie and Smidge!

Meanwhile,Poppy walks up the stairs of the tallest tower. He reaches the top and sees the locked door. The king opens the little window and what he saw makes him drop his weapon! He sees Branch sleeping in a bed fit for a princess! His heart broke at seeing her grey for the first time but, skips a beat at how beautiful Branch looks as she sleeps.

The weapon lands on the floor near Poppy's feet waking Branch up again. She opens her eyes and looks up the door window expecting to see a Terror or Creek to mock her but, her widen as she sees Poppy. Branch couldn't believe it! Poppy found her...

" Poppy? ",Branch says getting out of bed shocked.

Then suddenly something hits the back king's head hard! Branch let's out a worried shout as Poppy blacks out. The last thing the pink troll hears is an evil laugh as he closes his eyes laying on the cold floor.

An hour later,Poppy and Smidge wake up in the cell which Millie and DJ use to share. The king groans softly as he rubs the back of his head. He feels like he has headache right now. Smidge looks around and notices that Millie is nowhere around! The teaspoon troll gets up and runs to the bars worried.

" Millie! Where are you?! ",Smidge calls out worried.

Evil laughs suddenly fill the air. Both Smidge's and Poppy's ears twitch at it. The king gets up and walks to the bars looking around. Smidge looks around as well. They didn't know where the evil laughs are coming from.

" Well Well Well...",Creek's voice says evilly.

Suddenly Creek and the Terrors come out from the dark shadows. They smile evilly as they walk to the cell. Smidge glares at them upset while Poppy is shocked by them! Creek and Terence smirks at their prisoners.

"You made the wrong decision going after Branch,Poppy...",Creek says evilly.

The king's eyes widen as he realizes that Creek and The Terrors are working together! He couldn't believe it! Poppy trusted Creek!

" Your working with them!?",Poppy says upset.

"From the very beginning...", Creek evilly and honestly says while booping Poppy's nose

She didn't feel any guilt or regret! Poppy and Smidge could see it in her eyes clearly.

" How Could You?!",Poppy yells upset by the betrayal!

Creek and the Terrors look at each quickly and smile. They reveal the full truth and their big plan. It fills anger and shock in Poppy and Smidge's souls! Poppy tries to choke Creek and Terence for what they done but,Smidge stops him!

"Let me deal with them!", Smidge says to Poppy

He wants to give the Terrors and Creek a piece of his mind!

" What your going to do,shortie?",Christ says mockingly.

Smidge grabs the bars and starts breaking them with pure rage! Some the Terrors and Creek become worried at the sight of Smidge close to breaking out! Then suddenly Terence cases a quick spell at Smidge making him fall onto the ground! Poppy runs to his friend's side worried as Terence laughs mockingly. The teaspoon troll's body changes form into a donkey fast! Poppy gasps in shock at Smidge.

Meanwhile outside CJ starts walking to the castle tired of waiting. He slowly sneaks in hoping to find his uncle, King Poppy, Smidge,Millie and Branch alive. The troll looks around as he sneaks in. Then suddenly CJ hears a loud noise coming from inside the castle! He runs inside panicked!

The Terrors and Creek had just left to take over the kingdom. Inside the castle, DJ is still under mind control and guards the cell. Smidge is freaking out that he is a donkey! Poppy tries to calm him down. 

"Woah Smidge! Calm down before you hurt yourself!", Poppy says worried.

" Calm - heehoa! - Down! I'm A - Heehoa! - Donkey! ",Smidge says upset accidentally making donkey sounds.

Poppy didn't know what say to Smidge. DJ looks at Smidge confused and mindless. The king turns to the mind control zombie and decides to try something.

" DJ,I know your in there. You don't have to do what they say...",Poppy says to DJ.

DJ just looks at Poppy and blinks a few times with a blank expression. The pink male can tell that it hasn't sunk in. He keeps on trying to bring his friend back to reality but, it fails... The zombie troll walks away from the cell to get food for them.

"Cupcakes!", Poppy curses frustrated.

He turns to back his fellow prisoner. Smidge looks up at Poppy. He had calmed down. The donkey has questioning expression hoping that Poppy has a plan of some sort.

" What are we going to do now?",Smidge asks.

CJ Suki peeks from a corner. CJ gasps in shock and worry as his eyes widen! He sees Poppy in a cell and a donkey with him? He also hears Smidge's voice. The growing troll quickly runs over to the cell.

"King Poppy! ", CJ says worried grabbing a hold of the bars.

Poppy and Smidge turn their heads to the trolling surprised.

" CJ?",Poppy and Smidge say surprised together.

"Yo,what happened? Where's Smidge? Branch?Millie? Uncle DJ?", CJ Suki asks concerned.

The king and the donkey walk over to the child.

" Long story short there is group of trolls with powerful magic trying to takeover the kingdom right now and they locked us up so we won't get in their way!",Poppy explains worried.

"And I'm right here, CJ...", Smidge admits.

" Branch is stuck in a tower. We don't know where Millie is. DJ was here but,he's under mind control!",Poppy says honestly and unhappy.

CJ gasps the news after quickly letting go of the bars! He couldn't believe it! The child's mind is racing as he tries to take everything in! Then suddenly the three trolls hear a loud noise and see a a part of DJ's shadow!

"Hide!", King Poppy orders.

CJ quickly runs somewhere to hide and disappears from the prisoners view. DJ walks to the cell with food for Poppy and Smidge. He shoves the containers throw the bars not saying a thing. The closed containers fall onto the floor. Then the Zombie just walks slowly away passing CJ's hiding spot. The child quietly gasps in shock as he sees his uncle's blank red eyes! The Zombie stops for moment then looks around a little. After minute of seeing nothing new he starts walking away again. Soon DJ Suki was out of sight.

" He's gone,CJ...",Smidge says loud enough for CJ to hear.

CJ slowly comes out still in shock. His uncle wasn't his normal self... The child didn't like it! Poppy and Smidge notices CJ's state.

"Don't worry. We will find a way to save him!", Poppy says comforting.

CJ smiles up at the king. There is still hope to save everyone. Then suddenly Poppy gets an idea!

"Wait since your out there! You can help us escape and save everyone!", Poppy says hopeful with a plan.

Smidge smiles happily at CJ. CJ catches on and smiles up at the king. He will do anything he can to help! The king quickly whispers something in the child's ear. CJ salutes the king before running off to get the key to the cell.

A few moments later, in the tallest tower Branch pulls on the door handle but,it refused to budge! She finally stops pulling with her now a little sore hands. Then she hears the sound of footsteps! The grey troll quickly grabs a candle holder and stands close to the door. She hears the sound of keys unlocking the door then the door slowly opens! Branch swings it without thinking but, Poppy quickly ducks!

" Woah! Calm down,Branch! It's me! Poppy! ",Poppy says panicked.

Branch's heart skips a beat as she drops the candle holder. She is surprised and happy to see Poppy! She was so worried about him! She missed him...

" Poppy? ", Branch says softly surprised and happy.

Then suddenly Poppy hugs Branch with the best hug he could master! There are a few tears of joy in his eyes. He missed her...

" I missed you!...",Poppy admits softly and honestly as the tears slowly fall.

Branch happily returns the hug smiling. Her and Poppy's heart beat together. A few tears of joy fall down Branch's face.

"I missed you too!...", Branch admits softly and honestly.

Soon they break the hug but, just they try to leave the force field blocks Branch from stepping out the tower room causing her to fall on the floor! Poppy looks at her shocked! Branch had forgotten about the force field.

" Dang It!",Branch curses.

The king quickly gets back in the room and helps Branch up. He didn't understand what just happened.

"That stupid force field!", Branch says under her breath.

" What force field? ",Poppy asks confused.

Branch let's out an annoyed sigh. Poppy notices it. He is still confused.

" The Terrors put an invisible force field that blocks only me from leaving this room...",Branch explains annoyed.

That news didn't make Poppy happy. How can he leave this place with Branch if she can't leave? Then the king remembered something that helped free Millie from her magic chains. A smile spreads across his face.

"I'll be right back!", Poppy says happily.

Then the pink male leaves the room before Branch could respond leaving her confused. She didn't understand what was going on with him in that moment. The grey troll just stares at the open doorway.

" Whatever he is going to do better work...",Branch says softly to herself.

Moments later Poppy comes with Smidge and two powerful magic gems they found. Branch raises an eyebrow at the donkey then puts an hand on her hip.

"Why do you have a donkey with you?", Branch asks confused and serious.

"I got turned into one!It's me,Smidge...", Smidge says unhappy.

The grey troll looks at Smidge surprised. She knew that Millie was a dragon but, not that Smidge got turned into something as well! This starting to remind her of a book series she read. She has feeling she knows who did this to Smidge...

" Let me guess. The Terrors?",Branch says.

Smidge just nods his head implying "Yes". He didn't need to do anything else to get his answer across. Then Poppy puts one gem in the doorway and Smidge does the same.

" You may want to close your eyes...",Poppy advised.

Branch looks at the king confused then nods her head. The king and the donkey somehow sure the gem magic on and they start glowing bright yellow! Poppy, Smidge and Branch close their eyes as the light and magic destroys the force field making them fall onto floor cause of the impact.

Outside the tower,CJ and Millie look up at the tallest tower confused. They don't know what happened in there but, they it was powerful. Then they saw Poppy carrying a complaining Branch bridal style with Smidge following behind him come out the tower. Poppy has a smile on his face. Branch is blushing a lot.

"I can walk you know.",Branch says a little annoyed and a unamused but, secretly likes it.

Millie and Smidge smile at how adorable Branch and Poppy look. CJ laughs happily glad that now they can go home and save his uncle.
