The Trollstopia title came out glowing brightly in rainbow colors before the colors expelled out, forming the shapes of Aggie and the Normal Troll leaders, ambassadors, delegates, and associates.
Oh-oh-oh! Oh-oh-oh! You are my Trollstopia friends!
Aggie flew by R&B, who were using their telekinesis to carry some Funk tech.
Met you, and the light switched on!
Branch touched the ground and grew a tree that sprouted underneath him and Poppy, who touched a stray tree branch and made a flower bloom from its tip, with Aggie stopping by to take a sniff of the flower.
It brightens up my day like the sun!
Aggie galloped beside Delta and Clampers, when suddenly, Delta saw an incoming rock falling towards them and created earth armor around her hands, punching the rock away in response.
When my friends come a-runnin'!
Aggie suddenly felt a strong breeze of wind magic pick her up, showing it was Dante and Trollzart, who were moving their batons back and forth to conduct the air and create a small wind tornado that picked up Aggie.
You were right all along!
Delta soon saw a light ball that King Quincy formed in his paws get tossed into the air and watched as Essence grabbed a handful of glitter and tossed it up, the glitter glowing a bit before it exploded alongside the light ball, making a small set of fireworks go off.
That together, we're always better!
Aggie sat down on a large log stump that was lifted up by Buckaroo, who gave a thumbs up to Aggie, who waved at them.
We could turn a sketch into a masterpiece!
Aggie then flew over by Low-Note Jones, who tilted his sunglasses and made a laserbeam shoot out and spell a message on the ground that said, "Hey there, friend"!
When you're here, I feel like I'm complete!
Aggie suddenly felt a geyser of water shoot up next to her, and sitting on the geyser of water was Trollex, the creator of the geyser he was sitting on. whom Aggie smiled and shared a romantic kiss with her boyfriend, their hearts synchronizing and glowing in unison, while Beat hovered over Trollex's shoulder and watched happily.
Every day's a brighter day with you in my life!
Aggie and Trollex then broke their kiss when they saw Synth appear next to them on another water geyser that he made himself, carrying Stereo on his shoulders as the pair waved at them, with Trollex and Aggie waving back at Synth and Stereo.
And every time we fall, we get back up again!
Barb launched a fireball onto the ground, creating a cloud of thick smoke, before she was seen coming out of the smoke cloud, skidding on her knees, and rocking on her electric guitar, with Aggie playing her own electric guitar next to the queen of Hard Rock.
Look around, and you will find a friend!
An image of Aggie and the Normal Troll leaders uniting hands together in a circle was shown as they then all raised their hands up in unison.
You are my Trollstopia friends!
Just then, a color from each of their genre of music (Aggie's being rainbow because she already had all the signature 6 colors from each main genre of music) shooting up from each of them, making a rainbow in the sky.
Oh-oh-oh! Oh-oh-oh! You are my Trollstopia friends!
Aggie weaved her way past a few Earth structures that Holly made as a fun little maze for Aggie to go through before Aggie tossed Holly a gift box, with the Country ambassador smiling and tossing Aggie back a bigger gift box in gratitude.
We'll paint the sky with every color of the rainbow!
Aggie slid down a tree branch and saw Val using her burning touch to make something on a rock wall, as the Rock ambassador stepped back and showed what she made: her name (Val Thundershock) in bold, edgy letters, causing both of them to break into laughter.
We let the world know! Bring our light to the shadows! Whoa-oh-oh!
McJagger was carrying a heavy pile of books and struggling to carry them, when suddenly, he stumbled, tossing the books up into the air. Aggie saw this and quickly flew in, catching some of the books with her arms.
Together friends forever!
The remaining books she didn't catch, Laguna made a water forcefield that protected herself from the falling books, and made the books bounce up a bit before catching them, giving them to McJagger, who kissed his girlfriend to thank her, which made Laguna smile and blush.
Each day is now or never!
Cooper made some cupcakes pop out of his butt and placed them on a tray, offering some to his twin brother, Prince D, and the Snack Pack (Biggie, Guy Diamond, Tiny Diamond, Smidge, DJ Suki, Satin and Chenille, and Legsley) before he tossed one to Aggie, who caught it and gave a salute to Cooper, as Cooper gave an extra special cupcake he made himself to Jussy, who blushed from the kind gesture.
Just call on me, and you'll find me by your side!
Aggie and Melody were both riding Rock boards together, wearing the appropriate protective gear of course, weaving past a few stalagmites that were on the ground around them.
Cuz we could turn a sketch into a masterpiece!
A game board was tossed into the air, as Aggie used her telekinesis to catch it and place it down on the table while Gust arranged the pieces perfectly so the game could be properly set to play.
When you're here, I feel like I'm complete!
Riff was drumming on his drumset while Demo was watching, looking something over on his manager clipboard, as he showed it to Aggie, who looked it over and gave Demo a proud thumbs up.
Every day's a brighter day with you in my life!
A Growlbeast was chasing after Sid, who ran for his life, as Aggie quickly waved her staff threateningly in front of it, scaring the Growlbeast off, while Sid dropped down, panting in exhaustion, but was grateful for the MMT saving his life.
And every time we fall, we get back up again!
A new image then showed everyone all holding hands together, united as one.
Look around, and you will find a friend!
Music notes glowed in various colors started to excitedly surround the air.
You are my Trollstopia! You are my Trollstopia!
Finally, the last image showed Aggie and all of the Trolls standing together, looking up at something excitedly, as Aggie and Trollex both held hands together, with Aggie leaning her head on her boyfriend's shoulder while Trollex held Aggie close to him, Smidge hopped onto Biggie's back as Biggie caught her easily, Clampers peeked out of her aunt's hair to see while Tiny Diamond peeked his head out of his father's hair to see as well, and Legsley stretching her legs up to get a better look. Above them, the Trollstopia sign appeared in a flash of rainbow colors, bright and colorful for all to see, with everyone smiling happily.
You are my Trollstopia friends!
Troll Wrecks Glitter Gator
At Rock Hollow, Melody was bringing a record player over to the couch and sat down, placing the radio on the couch cushion next to her, before pulling out her stuffed Glitter Gator Grenda, telling the stuffed toy, "You ready for album binging day, Grenda"?
The toy was unresponsive, but Melody didn't seem to care as she grinned, saying, "Ah, I was born ready, too"!
She fished through her pocket and pulled out an Pop album, saying while looking at the cover title, "All right, time for a listening binge of 50 of the best hand-picked Pop songs beloved in Pop Village."
Just then, Val came and sat down on the seat next to the radio, along the right side of the couch, saying while raising her hands up and making the Rock hand gesture with them, "All right, let's get our mosh on"!
Melody groaned while saying, "You can't just mosh for this, Val, this isn't Rock msuic. This is serious stuff. This is a 14-hour meditation on the sweet serenic and fun-loving melodies of a wide range of enjoyable Pop songs that have came out that I want to listen to."
Val noticed the album that Melody had and asked, "Where's the second album that comes with this? Didn't a second album just come out that goes hand-in-hand with this one"?
That made the Mixed Troll reply while giving an inquisitive glare at Val, "SOMEONE said they were going to get me the second album for my birthday, and SOMEONE got me a bedazzled guitar case and a a pair of black Rock boarding fingerless gloves instead."
"You love that case," Val pointed out.
Melody grinned and commented, "I know. You're the best."
Melody then opened the album case and pulled out the first record, "Okay, put in the second record first."
"You're starting with the second record," Val asked while looking at the record.
Melody nodded while saying, "Um, yeah. We're going in order from catchy to melodious. Two, five, three, I know that's controversial, four and one."
Then, the Mixed Troll whispered to Val, "By the way, don't tell Grenda about Lisa Marie Trollsley being D-E-A-D; she doesn't know."
"All right," Val replied while rolling her eyes and placing the record on the record player, asking before lowering the lever to start playing the record, "So, when do we get to thrash our heads and smash our guitars"?
Melody groaned and shook her head, saying, "Oh, you don't understand these kinds of songs."
The cousins began to listen to the second record of the Pop album, listening to the Pop music that played.
Halfway through the album, Melody started to conversate with Grenda, who she had on her lap, while Val was keeping herself occupied by reading a Glitterborn Chronicles scrapbook.
Record: Since you've been gone! I can breathe for the first time!
Melody then started to talk to her Glitter Gator, saying to it while the song played on, "What was that, Grenda? Oh, yes. Yes. No. I don't know. Maybe? Maybe Country? That's Kelly; that's not Carrie. What are you talking about? They look nothing alike. Kelly looks like a fabulous singing contestant icon, and Carrie looks like a classic, down-to-earth, kind Country girl. She has the signature blonde hair. Like if you took straw, gold, and yellow paint, and spun it all together to make a brand new color in itself that sparkles on one's soul. Kelly, singing icon. Carrie, Country girl."
Val was starting to grow a bit annoyed, asking while putting the book she was reading away, "Are you gonna keep talking like this during the whole thing"?
Melody turned her head and answered back, "What? I'm answering Grenda's questions."
"Can't we just listen in silence," Val asked while rubbing her eyes.
"Well, you don't see me complaining when you're talking to Piney, so don't lay it out on me," Melody retorted back quickly, earning an eye roll from her cousin.
Then, Melody noticed that during her banter with Val, she realized she missed a good part of the current song that was playing, "Now we're gonna have to rewind. We just missed the part where Kelly Trollson starts to serenade about how she's felt so relieved since the boy she broke up with have been gone from her life. Dang it."
"Yeah, okay," Val said while getting up, adding as she grabbed her guitar and started to walk out of the hollow, "I'm going to the Milkshake Bar; they're having open performer's night."
Melody watched her cousin leave and responded with, "Suit yourself. Grenda and I are just fine without you."
After Val was gone, Melody whispered to the toy, "You're right. I bet she's having a mood swing."
Then, Melody gave the toy an inquisitive look, asking, "Why? I don't know. What do you think is making her have moodswings"?
The toy was silent and unresponsive, but Melody then seemed to react to its "response" while saying as she flinched, "What?! Ew, heck no! That wouldn't be it! Besides, Val doesn't even have a boyfriend, and kids would be the least of her concerns"!
Hours into the listening binge, night fell over Trollstopia, and Melody was beginning to feel a little sleepy.
She stretched her arms up and yawned, saying to Grenda while placing the toy Glitter Gator, "Sorry, Grenda. I think I'm down for the count. You okay if I go to bed"?
The toy remained unresponsive as Melody then commented, "Oh, I like that we're comfortable doing things separately, too."
She gave the toy a hug while saying, "Good night," before placing it down onto the couch.
Before walking away, Melody stopped and turned around, telling the toy, "Do me a favor and don't wake me when you come up, though."
Once again, the toy didn't answer since, well...how could it? It was a toy. But Melody seemed to retort back, "Yes, you do. You always step on the creaky board."
Somehow, she got locked into a silent one-sided argument with her toy Glitter Gator, as Melody then argued back, "Yes, you do. Every time."
After another moment of silence, Melody then argued back, "No, you're being too serious about this," and started to walk away.
Melody took a minute to catch her breath and calm down, saying to herself, "Don't go to bed angry. Don't go to bed angry. Defuse. Defuse."
She then reapproached the toy that was left on the couch, saying to it, "Grenda, I'm sorry. I overreacted. Now you say you're sorry."
A moment of silence after led Melody to quickly argue back, "What do you mean, "For what"? I can't with you"!
She stepped aside and took another moment to calm down before facing Grenda again, saying to it, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. You mean a lot to me; I value you. We're not escalating. It's fine. I'll see you in the morning. Good night."
With that, Melody turned around, letting the record continue to play music, and walked over to the bedroom so she could change into her pajamas and turn in for the night.
Little did she know that something was gonna happen that night that would change things very harshly.
The next day, Melody exited her and Val's bedroom, seen wearing a red bathrobe and some pink fuzzy Kitten Critter slippers on her feet, and her hair loose and about, all frizzy-like and reaching the heels of her feet. She stretched her arms up while walking over to the couch, hearing that the record she left was still on, replaying a song she heard yesterday.
Record: Everybody! Move your hair and feel united! Oh, oh, oh! Everybody, shake your hair and feel united! Oh, oh, oh!
The Mixed Troll also saw that Val was laying on the couch, slumped over, and was fast asleep, looking utterly exhausted. This made Melody chuckle and say, " Oh, boy, you're exhausted. How are you going to play Rock music today"?
Then, Melody noticed that by Val's feet, there was what looked like a torn cloth with some white cotton on it. When she picked it up, some of the cotton came off, and it revealed the torn face of her Glitter Gator toy: Grenda.
"Oh, my Troll! Grenda," Melody commented while looking at the torn fabric cloth face and recognizing it. then, she looked down in horror and saw that the floor was littered with cotton and torn fabrics, including severed and ripped plush legs, a scratched body with cotton leaking from it, and a chopped-up plush tail with barely any cotton left inside.
Then, to her shock and horror, Melody turned her head and saw that in one of Val's hands, which was semi-closed, was some cotton from the now-torn toy. In shock, Melody shouted, "No! Grenda"!
"Grenda," the Mixed Troll exclaimed in horror/sadness as she silently sobbed, feeling devastated that her most special toy in the world, the special gift her father had given to her when she was very young before he died, was now ripped up in a fluffy, but messy murder-like scene.
The music on the record seemed to stop as the record stopped spinning, which only added more drama to the moment itself.
Melody dropped to her knees and covered her face while she cried, tears streaming down her face at first.
Then, her sobs seemed to stop when Melody looked up and saw that Val was still asleep, and her sadness became quickly replaced by a new emotion: anger. She stormed over to the couch and climbed up onto it, sitting on her knees as she grabbed Val by her shirt and started to punch Val repeatedly in the face, angrily exclaiming, "Murderer! You killed Grenda," before dealing a few more punches.
The punches were enough to sharply awaken Val, her face now with a couple of bruises from the punches, who quickly raised her arm up to block some of the hits while she tried to ask, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa! Hey, whoa! Hey, what's going on"?!
Melody vigorously shook Val while saying, "You killed my most treasured item is what's going on"!
Val saw Melody go back onto the floor and start picking up the cotton and fabric pieces, as Val saw what happened and gasped, feeling guilty while saying, "Oh. Uh-oh."
"Glitter Gator killing Trollstard," Melody angrily exclaimed and punched Val in the leg before resuming trying to clean up the mess.
Val felt horrible for what had gone down and tried to apologize, saying while getting down from the couch, "Oh, my Troll. Melly, I am so sorry. I-I was super tired and still had adrenaline from performing at the Milkshake Bar. It was an accident. I must have thought she was just an old stone lying around."
Melody, however, didn't want to hear it, as she glared at her older cousin and spat out, "So?! If you were drunk from the fizzy fruit punch back in Harmonious Land and ran him over with the Dune Huggy, would you still go to jail?! Yes! You killed her"!
Val wanted to try to make up for the accident, saying, "Let me make it up to you, please. How about you kill something I love"?
Melody immediately brought out her electric guitar and held it threateningly over Val's head, asking in a scary/angry voice while Val flinched in fear, "How about I do that"?!
To try and keep things from escalating, Val commented while raising her hands up, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Okay. Okay, that's-that's fine. That's fair."
She then explained while fishing something out of her hair, "No, I-I meant, like-like like my favorite leg warmer," and brought out a backup leg warmer she had in case her original one ever got broken or torn.
Melody, however, appeared to look offended when she saw the leg warmer, shouting while waving her guitar in the air, "You're comparing Grenda to a leg warmer?! What is wrong with you"?!
She then placed her guitar away and added on while picking up the collected cotton and fabric pieces, "No wonder you two never got along! She always knew there was something off about you, and now we know what it was! You're a psycho"!
Val, now rattled with more guilt, placed the leg warmer away and tried to apologize again, saying, "Melly, I didn't mean to-"
"Shut up," Melody spat out angrily, not wanting to hear any more of Val's words; she just felt too angry with her older cousin to even hear her out.
"You don't understand! I-," Val tried to speak again, but got silent when Melody got up close to her and commented bitterly, "Shut up. Stop trying. It's over."
Then, the Mixed Troll stepped back and placed down the fabric and cotton pile before pulling out her phone and saying while accessing some apps on it, "Look at me. Watch. See what I'm doing? Flutter: unfollow. Loveagram: unfollow. Musicbook: unfollow. And there we go. Done."
After unfollowing Val on the social media apps, she placed her phone away and grabbed the fabric and cotton pile again, saying harshly to Val, "We are not friends anymore. I don't care if we're family; I don't ever want to see you again."
Val felt like her heart was gonna break in two, as she tried to talk to Melody, saying, "But, Melly-,"
"Bye," Melody harshly answered while walking away, not even bothering to look at Val, who sighed sadly and said to herself while holding her forehead, "What have I done"?
Throughout most of the morning, Melody had been keeping her distance away from Val, still feeling really hurt for her older cousin's "betrayal" of her trust when she had wrecked Grenda.
Val, meanwhile, was feeling really torn from guilt, and self-isolated herself from the other Rock Trolls, wanting some alone time.
At the moment, she was sitting at a table in Classical Crest, mindlessly tapping a spoon on the table while looking down forlornly.
By the stage, Aggie was doing some conducting practice with Trollzart, who was showing Aggie how to do a fast transition with the baton. However, while practicing, Aggie noticed the saddened Rock ambassador and grew concerned, saying to herself, "Val doesn't look too good. I wonder what's wrong."
She lowered her arms and asked Trollzart if she could take a break, with Trollzart allowing it.
Aggie placed her practice baton away in her hair and flew over to Val, asking her, "Hey, Val. You ok"?
"Hey," Val replied monotonously, not even looking up at the colorful MMT.
Aggie could tell that something had to be wrong, especially considering Val's response lacked any source of edge or coolness, and that was usually a Thundershock trademark.
With that, Aggie replied with, "What's wrong? You don't look good."
Val sighed sadly and answered with an upset shout, "That's because I'm not; I feel awful"!
Seeing how upset Val looked, Aggie then asked, "What happened? Are you hurt or anything"?
"No, I'm not. But I am feeling pain; the pain of guilt," Val admitted while laying her head down face-first on the table.
Aggie used her telekinesis to lift Val's head up while she asked out of concern, "Guilt? Why do you feel guilty? Did something happen"?
Val did a slw nod and explained, "I...did something bad by accident and now Melly's really mad at me; I've never seen her this mad before."
"What did you do that got her so riled up," Aggie asked while raising a curious eyebrow, wondering what the Rock ambassador could've done to make her little cousin so upset.
Val let out a slow exhale through her nose while answering, looking down in guilt, "Last night, I...accidentally tore up her favorite stuffed Glitter Gator: Grenda."
Aggie let out a gasp in surprise, saying in response, "Wait, you wrecked Grenda"?
"I did," Val added sadly, mentioning, "It was an accident; I didn't mean to, but Melly wouldn't hear me out because she was too upset about what I did! And now, she wants nothing to do with me! I've tried to apologize, but she wouldn't even stop to listen," and laid her head back down face-first, letting out a muffled scream of guilt.
Aggie couldn't help but feel bad for Val. Sure, what happened was very shocking, and to hear that even though it was all an accident, Val tearing up Melody's favorite toy, her most cherished item, she could understand why Melody would be cross with her older cousin. But at the same time, Val's remorseful for what she did accidentally, and she wants to make it up to her as best she could, but for Melody to find it so hard to forgive Val, it made the Rock ambassador feel so guilty for what happened.
Aggie tried to cheer Val up by saying reassuringly, "Hey, Val, I'm sure that Melody knows that you didn't mean to. She's just a bit mad is all, and just needs some time to cool off and calm down. I know that if someone makes me mad, I find it easier to talk things out and forgive them after I take some time to step away and recoup my thoughts and feelings after a while. Maybe if you try to go find Melody now, she might've calmed down enough to be able to listen to you and hear your side of what happened, and she'll forgive you."
Val lifted her head up and asked Aggie, "You think so"?
Aggie nodded, saying, "I know so. After all, she's part of your family, and family can't stay mad at one another forever. Tell you know: why don't we go find Melody together"?
Val nodded, saying, "Ok, sure. We can do that."
Val got up from her seat as she and Aggie began to start looking for Melody. They searched high and low, far and wide, in every nook and cranny of Trollstopia, but strangely, there was no sign of the Mixed Troll anywhere. It was like she just...disappeared!
A little while into their search, Aggie and Val regrouped back in the center of Pop Village after having no luck in the other places, and continued to look.
Val decided to stop and look by Satin and Chenille's pod, entering the pod while saying, "Yo, Satin? Chenille? Have you seen-," before stopping when she noticed the Pop Troll twins working on a very elegant, light blue dress with white frills and small yellow flower designs on it with their sewing machines.
Confused, Val titled her head while asking, "Uh, wha-what are you both doing"?
"Operating our new, thriving quinceanera business," Satin replied while taking the dress she was working on off the sewing machine.
"We started to make these fancy dresses that the Reggaeton Trolls showed us after we recently learned about a special celebration that they threw a while back called a quinceanera, and we got inspired to try making some of our own," Chenille added while restocking her sewing machine with thread.
"Do us a favor and stand on that podium," Satin asked while pointing to the modeling podium.
Val, reluctant, but figured that this would help at least get a conversation going, replied, "Uh...ok," and walked onto the podium, standing there.
Satin and Chenille placed the dress onto Val, and Satin started to work on sewing the hem of the dress while Chenille asked as she used a ruler to do some measurements around the dress's waistline, "So, what's up"?
Val answered, "I'm looking for my cousin Melly- erm, Melody if you know what I mean by the nickname. She and I had a fight, and I'm scared she might've done something drastic."
"Her," Chenille asked while writing the measurements down on a notepad.
Satin added while adding some pins to the dress hem, "You're the one who killed her special toy."
Val let out a small embarrassed groan while saying, starting to sound a bit annoyed, "Okay, I see she got to you two before I did. It's a stuffed animal, girls."
Chenille then mentioned, "Yeah, well, she cremated that stuffed animal, and she's going to Mount Music to scatter the ashes."
Val was shocked to be hearing this, exclaiming while her eyes widened in disbelief, "What"?!
Worried now more than ever, Val commented, "I got to go after her"!
"Not until we finish fitting this," Satin ordered while she and Chenille worked on some finishing touches on the dress.
When the finishing touches were added, Satin asked, "How you feeling? Bueno? That means good in Spanish."
"Fits good," Chenille inquired.
"This isn't mine," Val pointed out, feeling a bit weirded out in the dress.
"Do you or do you not feel bonita," Satin and Chenille both asked in unison while crossing their arms, showing how serious they were in wanting to know Val's opinion about the dress.
Val rolled her eyes and groaned, admitting bluntly, "I feel bonita, whatever the heck that's supposed to mean."
Her answer made Satin and Chenille smile, with Satin saying, "Wonderful, because you look bonita."
"Muy bonita," Chenille added gleefully.
Val groaned and tore off the dress, shouting, "Thank you, gotta go save my cousin now, bye," and ran out of the pod to find Melody.
As Val was running, she passed Aggie, who saw the incoming Rock ambassador and asked, "Val, any luck"?
"She's heading to Mount Music! I gotta go save her," Val shouted while running passed Aggie, heading toward where the path to Mount Music was.
Aggie watched Val running off, shouting, "Be careful, Val"!
"I hope that they both don't get into any danger up there," Aggie mentioned in concern for her two friends, hoping they would be alright.
Over by a Caterbus station, there was a Caterbus waiting, its mouth open and ready to let guests come in to sit, set to take them to their destination.
A few Trolls had already entered, and Melody was waiting for her turn, about to enter the Caterbus, when she heard Val's voice shout, "Melly"!
Val made it just in time and stopped, standing beside Melody and standing hunched over, her hands on her knees, exhausted from all the running as she tried to catch her breath. Melody, however, was not pleased at all, giving Val a deadpan glare while saying, "Hmm. Well, in every murder mystery book I've read, they've shown murderers can often be found at bus stations, so why am I surprised"?
Once Val seemed to have gotten enough oxygen, she then told her little cousin, "You can't go to Mount Music alone"!
"I'm not; got Grenda with me," Melody replied while showing the red backpack she had on her back, adding, "She and I had an agreement. If she died first, I would scatter her ashes on a mountain. If I died first, she would bury my body next to the flower fields by Pop Forest, where my dad liked to go on his free days."
"How on earth could you even have an agreement like-," Val asked incredulously before she stopped and took a deep breath in and out, saying, "Never mind, not gonna question tat."
She then crossed her arms and addressed, "I don't care. I'm coming with you."
Melody crossed her arms and narrowed her glae at Val, saying, "Well, you're not going to sit with me."
Val facepalmed and retorted, "Oh, come on. If I don't, I'll get stuck next to that one guy who likes to give those tight air-squeezing, bone-crushing hugs."
On cue, a male Pop Troll with red skin, green eyes, light blue hair, and matching light blue pants came over, saying, "Hi there, new friend," and gave Val a big hug, squeezing Val tightly. Val felt the air escape her lungs and like her bones were gonna break in the hug as she groaned in uncomfortableness.
Once the Pop Troll had let go, Val looked like she just saw a ghost, and was breathing fast, as Melody smirked, saying, "Ha, serves you right."
The male Pop Troll then turned his attention to Melody, saying, "And hello to you too, new friend," and gave her the same hug he gave Val, with Melody also groaning in uncomfortableness when she felt squeezed in the tight hug.
With that, both cousins were soon riding the Caterbus all the way into the forest, to the bus stop that would lead to a hiking trail where one can climb up Mount Music without having to climb up it directly. The bus stop was called Harmony Trail, and the path was a dirt road surrounded by dusty land, rocks, and a bunch of trees growing around in the area.
When the Caterbus stopped at the bus station, it opened its mouth, and Melody stepped out of it, looking ahead as she began to walk down the path. Val, determined to make sure her cousin didn't do anything too reckless or dangerous, followed closely behind while still keeping some distance since she knew her little cousin was still mad at her.
They hiked up the dirt road, passing through the rustling trees of green and mighty, and started to go up a small slope that reached upward. During that portion, Melody looked back and glared at Val, who still continued to follow her up.
A little while after making it up the small slope, they reached a path that was next to a very high ledge, with a drop that was pretty far down, and could shatter one's bones if a Troll took a wrong step and fell down. Melody tried to up her walking speed a bit, but when she looked back again, Val seemed to up her walking speed a bit too to try and keep up. the path was a little twisty, but still had a firm straightforward direction that would lead up to Mount Music.
During the walk, Melody could still hear the pitter-patter of her older cousin's footsteps behind her, which then made her comment out loud bluntly, "I can hear you following me."
"Good," Val replied back, not giving up on following Melody.
That only seemed to fuel Melody's anger more, making her stop and say in an almost threatening manner, "I swear to Troll do not take one step further, or I will hit you."
Val had also stopped but didn't think Melody was being serious about the comment, as she took a step forward, her step breaking a branch and making a SNAP sound upon breaking.
Finally, Melody had enough and lost all control, shouting, "THAT'S IT"!
In fury, she lunged at Val and pinned her to the ground before she started to repeatedly punch her in the face, shouting while dealing each punch, "LEAVE! ME! ALONE! MURDERER"!
"Melly, stop! Stop, all right," Val shouted, feeling bruises and scuff marks develop on her face, holding her arms up to block the strikes initially before taking the opportunity to grab the Mixed Troll by her wrists and ask in frustration while pushing her, and herself, back up into a standing position, "Look, why are you being such a jerk over a stupid Glitter Gator"?
"Don't you disrespect the dead," Melody angrily retorted before using her hair to sweep some dirt into Val's eyes, temporarily blinding the Rock ambassador. Left unable to see, Val tried to wipe the dirt away before she was then kicked in the knee by Melody, causing her to wince in pain and fall down.
Frustration came over Val, as the Rock Troll decided that enough was enough, and she was gonna fight back, leaving her to grit her teeth and shouted loudly while tackling Meloy to the ground, pinning her and started to punch her in the face repeatedly.
Melody, despite receiving some brusies and scuff marks of her own, didn't take the hits lying down, as she saw an opportunity to escape by biting Val's right arm, making some blood leak out.
"Ow," Val shouted in pain while holding her arm before she resumed to swinging some punches at Melody, who felt the punches hit her face hard. Then, the Mixed Troll eyes a small Rock and used her hair to pick it up, slamming it into the side of Val's head hard, knocking the Rock ambassador down.
Val grimaced in pain before standing up, just as Melody got back onto her feet. Before Melody could swing another punch, Val quickly got behind Melody and got her in a submission hold, using her hands to hold Melody's arms behind her back, and wrapped her pigtails around her chin and neck before squeezing tightly, not to suffocate or choke her out, but to hold Melody in place as the Mixed Troll flailed, but couldn't get free.
Finally getting a hold of her younger cousin, Val then exclaimed, "She's not dead! She was never alive"!
"You take those words back," Melody angrily exclaimed, trying to break free, but couldn't.
"She wouldn't care! She didn't hear them! She's a toy," Val argued back loudly.
"She was my best friend," Melody shouted tearfully in response.
That answer really got to Val, who gasped upon hearing it, and in her shocked state, she let go of Melody, who scrambled into a sitting position, sitting in front of Val, who then, feeling offended, exclaimed, "I'm supposed to be your best friend! I'm your older cousin; I've been with you longer than that toy has"!
Melody bitterly shouted back while glaring at Val, "Well, you're not my friend! You're a bloodthirsty, cold-hearted murderer"!
Finally, Val just seemed to snap as she furiously then confessed in front of Melody, "Fine, you're right! You know what?! It wasn't an accident! I knew she wasn't a stone! I was sick of you talking to her all the time. I was sick of you complaining to her about me when I'm right there in the room! And I was sick of always playing second fiddle to that Glitter Gator! She's not! Even! Real"!
Val's exclamation/confession left the Mixed Troll speechless; Melody couldn't even believe it! Out of disbelief, she asked, her eyes widening while doing so, "You did it...on purpose"?
All of Melody's anger and fury then suddenly blew over in one fell swoop, as Melody shouted in fury while she lunged and got behind Val, climbing onto her shoulders and using her hair to wrap it around Val's neck like a rope before starting to pull hard, trying to choke Val out. Val gasped for air, struggling to break the hair rope around her neck free while Melody held onto her ponytail tight, tightening her grip.
Val walked over near the edge of a nearby ledge and, in one mighty bow, she flung Melody off, making the hair rope wrapped around her neck come loose and vanish, which allowed her to breathe. But unfortunately, it also made Melody fall down the ledge, the Mixed Troll screaming while she fell, crashing her way down like a bouncing rock, before she landed on the ground back-first hard, covered in cuts, scrapes, scratches, and bruises, and while her prosthetic leg had popped off, her other leg now had a broken ankle that was bent in an awkward position. Her backpack was open, and a bunch of random things, such as a candy bar, her phone, a book, a canteen of water, and a black box where Grenda's "ashes" were, was littered around her.
Val looked up and saw what had happened and, in fear and concern for her little cousin's well-being, she shouted, "Melly," and used her hair to safely slide her way down the ledge and onto the ground below.
On the ground, Melody struggled to sit up and saw how badly injured she was, reaching for her prosthetic, which was by a bush, way out of her reach.
"Oh my Troll, Melly," Val commented fearfully when she got to the ground and saw how hurt Melody was.
Val did her best to lift Melody up, using her pigtails and wrapping them around Melody's waist to lift Melody up to a sitting position while saying, "Easy...easy..," as she lifted her up before letting go when she saw Melody appear steady.
Sitting upright, Melody started to pick up the items that were loose and placed them back in her backpack before she suddenly remembered something and frantically looked around, asking, "Grenda! Where-,"
She spotted the box and sighed in relief, grabbing it while saying, "Oh, there you are," before placing it back in her backpack.
She then used her hair and grabbed her prosthetic leg, and quickly got it reattached, making sure it felt ok, bending the knee joint a few times before saying, "Ok, it still works, and it feels ok."
As Melody started to put on her backpack again, Val pointed out, seeing that her little cousin still had bad injuries, including the broken ankle, "Melly, you're hurt."
Melody held her ankle protectively while arguing back, "It's just my ankle; it's not a big deal."
"It's already swelling up," Val addressed when she saw the area where Melody's ankle was broken beginning to turn red from swelling and tried to come forward, saying, "Just let me-,"
"Back off," Melody shouted, swatting her older cousin away before grabbing onto a nearby stick that resembled a crutch, standing up while leaning against it, and stated as she tried to limp back up the ledge, "I'm doing this on my own. For Grenda."
However, Val could see that Melody was struggling, especially when the Mixed Troll was barely able to make a few inches up the base before the stick crutch broke, and she fell forward, her ankle throbbing in pain.
Val gritted her teeth worryingly and said under her breath, "Dang it, Melly," before saying to her, "Just...just sit there, will ya? I'll-I'll get us up."
Val then saw some sticks that were around the area and got an idea, beginning to gather then together.
Melody, however, did not want Val's help one bit, retorting while crossing her arms and turning her head away, "I don't want your help."
"Well, you need it, so it's happening," Val retorted back as she tied the sticks together with some vines, saying to herself, "Good thing I learned some little arts and crafts from Popsqueak."
Val wound up making a special stick stretcher that she thought could help carry Melody while she ragged it behind her up the mountain.
When Val felt like it was sturdy enough, she dragged it over and then placed Melody on top of it. With her little cousin secure, Val grabbed the front ends of the stretcher and began to pull at a slight angle so she could carry it without dropping Melody accidentally, starting to scale up the ledge to get back onto the trail.
Melody then commented, "This isn't going to make me forgive you, you know."
"That's fine," Val answered back.
"I'm going to say uncomplimentary things about your attitude the whole way," Melody retorted back.
"Go ahead," Val replied, not wanting to hear it actually, but she knew Melody was still mad at her, and had to vent it somehow.
Melody then started to say, "You know, maybe it's appropriate that you're my ride up. Grenda always said your attitude rumbled like a car engine."
Val groaned under her breath while Melody continued to list down some insults, saying, "Want to know some of the other things she called you? Judy Moody Boom. Grumpy Ramsey. Loco Mayhew. Reckless Ralph. Karma Hendrick. Queen of Mean-like Attitudes Because of things You Find Uncomfortable and Hard to Understand. Sour Patch Troll," and this list continued on and on until Val made it back onto the main path.
The long hike continued for about another three hours until, finally, Val and Melody made it to the snowy slopes that would lead to the top of the mountain. The wind was cold and blustery, and the snow was freezing. Val had to resort to putting on a magenta long-sleeve shirt, a grey sleeveless winter vest over it, and a black ski cap on her head to fight off the cold.
Melody, who was sitting while facing away from Val, was placing on her purple winter coat, already having her red winter hat with an orange pompom on top on, as she turned her head and said to Val with an icy glare, "You know, once we're done here, I'm never speaking to you again," before turning away again and crossing her arms.
Val sighed in frustration and argued back, "Well, how the heck was I supposed to know it was gonna upset you so much"?
Melody felt offended by this question, retorting back angrily while looking back at Val, "How? How?! You saw me spend almost every single minute of every single day with Grenda since I was born! And you don't-,"
Suddenly, she noticed something and paused her angry rant, calming down while saying, "Up-up, hang on, hang on. Another hiker going by."
There was a male elderly Rock Troll who was hiking down the mountain, dressed in hiking gear, as Melody grinned and told him, "One of us is going the wrong way. Heh."
The hiker thought the joke was funny and chuckled before saying in response, "When are they gonna put in the elevator, right"?
Melody chuckled back in response and waited for the hiker to be gone before continuing her angry rant toward Val, exclaiming to her older cousin, "I loved Grenda! She was the most important thing in my life, and you willfully violated the sanctity and trust of our friendship when you destroyed her"!
Val wanted to retort something back but figured it'd probably make things worse. So, she gathered enough of the courage she had left and asked as gently as she could, "Melly, I just don't get it. You're so mature in so many ways. You're...you're the smartest person in the hollow, you're incredibly talented, you're much kinder to other Trolls than I can ever be, though I am still working on that Why is Grenda the one baby thing you're hanging onto? Why are you so upset over a toy when I'm real, and I'm still here"?
Melody felt some hot tars form around her eyes as she shouted in response tearfully, "Because Grenda was going to be with me forever! She wasn't ever going to leave"!
Val saw that that particular answer hit a strong point for the Mixed Troll when she saw how upset Melody looked after saying it, and who could blame her? Trying to sound reassuring, Val stopped, dropping the stretcher down slowly, before she faced Melody and pointed out, "So what? I'm not leaving you, either. We're family; we stick together, no matter what."
Melody then argued back, "But what if you don't? What if one day, you wind up doing something so incredibly stupid and reckless, you get yourself hurt or worse, killed?! What if something like that happened to my mom?! Or even Evie; she's still a baby; she's got so much to live for! And if any of you end up dying, I'd...I'd have no one left."
Val patted Melody on the back while saying, "But you'll never be alone. I'll always be there for you."
Melody rolled her eyes and retorted, "Oh, really? Val, let's be honest. You're older than me by 2 years, I'm gonna most likely outlive you. And one day, all too soon, I'm gonna be crying at your funeral in a Trollmani dress that Satin and Chenille make and sells for a lot of Trollars, and people are gonna be like, "Oh, nice dress," and I'm gonna be like, "Why are you talking about my awesome $5,000 Trollar dress?! My cousin's dead!"
"Feels like that story is less about me and more about your dress," Val pointed out with a deadpanned expression.
"Go eat a toad," Melody shouted back bitterly before she asked, "Besides, if you don't believe Grenda was real, why are you so jealous of her? Why does it bother you how upset I am"?
Val was about to answer before she thought about it, answering with, "That...is a very good point," before proceeding to carry the stretcher up the mountain path again.
Melody scoffed while saying, "You're darn right it is, you joyless, fake-wisdom-spouting-,"
Then, she noticed another hiker, who was a male bipedal Funk Troll dressed in hiking gear, coming down, and told him the joke she heard from the other hiker, saying, "Hey. Heh. When are they gonna put in the elevator, right? Heh."
"Yeah. That other guy said that to me," the hiker pointed out while climbing down the mountain.
Melody rolled her eyes and retorted, "Nice shorts," while thinking in her mind that the shorts were not a good fit for him at all.
A while later, the cousins had finally made it to the top of Mount Music.
At the top, Val dropped the stretcher gently while Melody took her backpack off her back as they both got to see how the view was from the top of the mountain.
The sight from the top was unbelievable! It was glorious! You could see everything from up there; all the other main homelands of the Troll Kingdom, mountain ranges far away, and so much more!
Melody patted the backpack that she had beside her, saying, "Well, Grenda, we made it."
Val, however, was amazed by the sight of the view, saying, "It's beautiful up here."
The pair continued to look at the view in silence before Vall then asked, "So should...should we just sprinkle her around randomly, Or...?
Melody scoffed and answered back, "Oh, don't be a savage, Val. What is your problem? We have to have the ceremony first."
Melody took the box out of her backpack and held it close, starting to say her eulogy speech. Her heart and mind as one, she said, "Dearest Grenda, we're here. I never wanted this to happen, and it happened far, far too soon. But..."
However, she could feel the waterworks coming, and had tears flowing, finding it hard to really speak or say what she wanted, saying tearfully, "I can't."
Rendered unable to talk, Melody then offered the box to Val, telling her older cousin, "You...you do it."
Val was taken aback, asking in surprise, "Wha-What"?
"You give the eulogy. I'm too upset; I can't," Melody explained while trying to wipe away her tears.
Val looked at the box, feeling honored, but confused, asking, "What am I supposed to say"?
The Mixed Troll sniffled, saying, "I don't know, Just just tell the truth. Let-let Grenda know how important she is."
"Okay," Val answered as she knelt down on one knee and held the box in front of her, looking at it. She tried to find the right words to say, saying, "Um, Grenda was a-a great Glitter Gator. Uh, a great, uh.."
"Snuggle toy," Melody whispered to Val.
"Snuggle toy, Right, right, okay," Val replied before continuing the eulogy, speaking out of the most sincere emotions in her heart, saying, "But most importantly of all, she was a great friend. She was always there whenever Melly needed her. She was understanding; she always listened. She made Melly a better Troll. Melly and I are both incredibly grateful for all the time we had with you, and we wouldn't change a single moment. Except the end; sorry about that. Um, rest in peace, Grenda."
After she had finished delivering the eulogy, Val opened the box and gave it to Melody, who opened the lid, pouring out the ashes of the previously plush Glitter Gator, and together, both cousins watched the wind carry off the ashes, making it dance along the breeze before it got carried away.
When the ashes were gone, Melody recovered from her tears and looked up at Val, saying to her, "Thank you, Val. That was...that was beautiful."
Then, Melody pulled out an acoustic guitar and took a deep breath, closing her eyes before starting to strum a memorial song she wanted to sing for the mini ceremony, feeling the melody move her. Val listened on as she heard her cousin start to sing.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Here Comes the Sun (Glee version by Naya Rivera and Demi Lovato)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Melody: Here comes the sun; do, do, do, do. Here comes the sun, and I say it's all right. Hmmm.
Melody then opened one of her eyes and gave a small nod to Val, who saw that it meant she wanted her to join in. Val nodded in response an started to sing with her little cousin.
Val: Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter. Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here.
Both: Here comes the sun; do, do, do, do. Here comes the sun.
Val: And I say.
Both: It's all right.
Melody: (Val: Aaah.) Doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo.
Both: Ahhh, ahhh, ahhh. Little darling.
Melody: The smiles returning to their faces.
Both: Little darling.
Melody: It seems like years since it's been here.
Both: Here comes the sun; do, do, do, do. Here comes the sun.
Melody: And I say.
Both: It's all right.
Melody: (Val: Aaah.) Doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo
Both: Yeah yeah yeah.
Melody: Oh!
Val: Oh!
Melody: Oh, oh!
Val: Oh!
Melody: Oh, oh! Oh!
Both: Oh!
Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting. Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear (Melody: Yeah!).
Here comes the sun; do, do, do, do. Here comes the sun.
Val: And I say.
Both: It's all right
Melody: Doo, doo, doo, (Val: Oh!) doo, doo, doo, doo, doo.
Both: Here comes the sun; do, do, do, do. Here comes the sun.
Val: And I say.
Both: It's all right
Melody: (Val: Bom, bom, bom, bom.) Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo.
Both: It's all right.
Melody: (Val: Bom, bom, bom, bom.) Doo doo doo doo doo doo doo doo.
Both: Sun, sun, sun, here it comes.
After the song was over, Melody then looked up at Val and told her while putting the acoustic guitar away, "Okay, Val, now pour it out."
"What," Val asked in confusion.
"Pour it out, whatever you have. Pour it out," Melody explained while feeling some new tears form.
Val fished through her hair and pulled out a water bottle, saying, "I have a water bottle full of soda from the bus."
"Pour it out for Grenda," Melody told her as Val poured out the soda, letting it spill and get absorbed into the snow.
After she had done that, Melody looked up at Val and, since their fight, shared a small smile as she hugged Val by the waist.
Val smiled and hugged her little cousin back; the pair reconciled at last, and once again, friends.
Melody closed her backpack and swung it back onto her back while Val picked up the stretcher and happily helped carry her little cousin back down the mountain. Melody, however, was still grieving for Grenda, and took one last look of the summit before exclaiming, "You're with Lisa now, Grenda"!
When they made it back to the ground, Val and Melody hopped on the next Caterbus that came around and rode it back to Trollstopia.
On the bus, Val and Melody were sitting together though Melody was currently asleep, her head resting on her cousin's lap; everything that happened today has taken lot of her, and she needed some rest to recoup.
Val looked down at Melody, seeing how peaceful her cousin looked while she was asleep. Though, deep down, she still did feel a sense of guilt for being the cause of this whole mess. Destroying a toy just because she felt jealous of it? And without even a decent reason, why?
Melody's question about why it seemed to affect Val so much to see that she was upset about Grenda, and why she seemed to be jealous of the toy even though she thought that Grenda wasn't real still rang in Val's mind and Val herself was left pondering about it, pondering what could've been the motivation behind why she did what she did.
Feeling an urge to just speak out her thoughts, even though she and Melody, who was still asleep, were alone on the bus, Val talked to herself, saying, "Melly was right; I did feel jealous. I guess...seeing her interact so much with Grenda...it made me feel a bit left out. The fact that she treated Grenda like a real person, in a way...it was like she was getting to bond with her dad. That toy meant so much to her since her dad gave it to her as a way for him to always be with her, even when he wasn't around. It gave her a sense of security and hope, knowing that he would always be there for her, even when not physically there. And maybe that's what really got to me; that she wanted to spend more time with it...than with me. I promised her I'd always look out for her, and even though I don't say it out loud as much since I'm not good with talking about my feelings and stuff...I love her. She's my little cousin and my closest friend, and I wouldn't trade anyone in the world for her because to me, she's like..my Grenda."
What she didn't catch on was that during her little monologue, Melody woke up for a moment and opened one eye, hearing what her older cousins was saying, and she felt touched by Val's words, smiling, before she closed her eyes and fell back asleep.
Val suddenly felt a shift and saw Melody move a bit in her sleep, shifting and moving her arms so it looked like she was hugging Val, and Val noticed Melody seemed to mutter in her sleep, "I forgive you...cousin. I love you, Val."
Val let out a small gasp as she smiled and patted Melody's shoulder and whispered, "Back atcha, Melly," and leaned back, falling asleep against the bus chair as the two napped during the trip back to Trollstopia.
Bonus Scene...
When the Caterbus arrived in Trollstopia, the first place Val decided to take Melody to was the doctor's so Dr. Moonbloom can examine her cousin's ankle.
While Melody was getting checked out, Val decided to take a walk so she could try and ease her nerves while waiting to hear back. She stopped by a nearby booth that was giving out plush toys. Curiously, she went to the booth to look and saw something on one of the shelves that made her smile excitedly, knowing that what she saw could make a certain Mixed Troll very happy.
Later, Melody's check-up was finished; Dr. Moonbloom informed Val that Melody had a broken ankle and needed to be in a boot cast for a week, and needed some Gummioid painkillers to ease the pain.
The Gummioids made Melody feel relaxed, but sleepy, and Val wound up having to carry the recovering Mixed Troll with her hair back to Rock Hollow, especially because she had a bag in one of her hands, with something inside of it.
Once safely in the hollow, Val placed Melody on the couch and laid her flat, prompting a pillow on her foot with the boot cast so her ankle could heal. She placed a blanket over Melody so the Mixed Troll could properly get some rest.
Then, for a finishing touch, Val reached into the bag and grabbed something out of it: a red plush Glitter Gator toy that looked exactly like Grenda did. It even had a black bandanna tied around the same leg Grenda had. She lifted one of Melody's arms and placed the toy under it so Melody could "hold" it, before she tiptoed away to let her cousin rest.
A few seconds after Val had left, Melody woke up and saw the toy in her arms, gasping in surprise before exclaiming, "Grenda! You've come back to me," and hugged it tenderly.
Val watched with a proud smile before she tiptoed away to let her cousin rest up, feeling very happy that she made her cousin feel so much better. Melody's happiness was all the gratitude and praise Val could ever ask for.
