Rhythm, Blues, Quincy, Essence: Together, we will soar across the sky and beyond! (Prince D: To the great beyond!)

Holly Darling, Buckaroo, Delta Dawn: So, tune-up your voice!

Practice Day

(After the title makes an appearance, it magically fades away in glittery dust)

It's been two days since the scary spooks adventure up on the 13th floor, and currently, on this new day, it was really early in the morning, still dark, but with a little bit of sunlight starting to crack through some of the holes up in the ceiling. Inside, the condo, everyone was still fast asleep in their beds inside their rooms, sleeping peacefully.

Meanwhile, Aggie, who had woken up a bit earlier, was going up and down the floors, checking up on her friends, finding their slumber quite adorable, saying a whispered, "Aww," each time she peeked her head into their rooms. Then, Aggie suddenly started to use her fists and knock on each door fast, shouting, "Wake up, everyone! Up and at 'em! Wake up"!

However, her shouts seemed to fall on deaf ears as all of the Normal Trolls were still fast asleep, despite Aggie's loud shouting and knocking. When it didn't seem like what she was doing worked, Aggie stated, "Ok, I didn't want to do this, but you guys left me no choice"!

Aggie took the elevator down to the lobby, where she calmly walked out of the elevator and pulled out a trumpet, which she started to blow very loudly, in the army fanfare that is used in the military. The sound was so loud, it immediately woke everyone up and startled them so much, they fell out of their beds and landed on the floor hard.

Once Aggie had concluded playing the trumpet, everyone in their rooms groaned in pain and got up, trying to recover from the sudden wake-up call. Barb, in her room, stood up and stretched her arms out while saying, "Does Aggie have a snooze button because I'd like to hit that," as she groaned frustratedly, not amused about being woken up this early.

Tiny, in Guy Diamond's room, yawned while saying, "It's 6 am, I only get up this early to open presents at Trollsmas."

Suddenly, everyone heard the trumpet blowing again and frantically climbed out of their beds, threw on their clothes, and ran to both elevators, squeezing in together so they could all fit, and went down to the first floor, where they climbed out of the elevator doors, once they opened, and ran out to the front yard and lined up, facing Aggie while saluting.

"At ease, everyone," Aggie addressed while pacing, saying, "Good morning, before I forget. Now, I bet you all are wondering why I called you all here bright and early."

"Are we getting drafted, yo," Synth asked.

"How would you even pass the physical exam," Laguna commented towards the Techno prince.

Aggie shook her head, saying, "No one is getting drafted into the army. I called you guys so we could practice."

"Practice? Practice what exactly," Branch inquired.

"And why this early too," Melody asked while yawning.

Aggie replied, "I called you all here because after what happened yesterday, where we finally got answers as to not only how some of you have magic, but why, why the Normal Troll leaders have psychic visions, and even why Synth is able to do water magic, even before we went to Anticque, that we-,"

"Uh, Aggie," Cooper asked while raising his hand, saying, "Remind me again about yesterday. What did we find out again"?

Poppy started things off by saying, "Well, Cooper, if you remember, we were practicing out in the front yesterday when the Harmonious Land leaders saw us and saw how some of us are able to do magic."

"When we told them about how we discovered our magic abilities during our vacation in Anticque, they wanted to help us figure out why this was happening, and they invited us to the Magicañang Palace, where we got to see the giant scientific facility that was underground, at the bottom of the castle, where we met their scientist friends: Lolo, Valentino, Holt, Dana, Sylvette, and Brenda, and got to learn how they befriended the leaders," Essence added.

"And they performed some experiments on us to see how our magic abilities worked, and performed a blood test to see if there was something in our blood that could provide a clue," Quincy mentioned.

"Aftuurr ayy whaale ov waitin', the results came, ayn' we found out that the reason why some ov us have magik is 'cause the magik particles insaade ov Aggie, these magik particles are what 'llows the MMTs ta have magik powuurrs, done copied ayn' them copies got transferred ta us," Delta explained.

"And these particles transferred to us because of our close friendship with Aggie here, which allowed those tiny particles to easily transfer to our bodies," Barb added on.

"Of course, as we've also seen, not everyone has gotten magic abilities, and that's because some of us have a few or small magic particles, while others have deactivated magic particles, but it's still a mystery if some of the particles, for those without magic, might identify what kind of magic those Trolls will have," Branch pointed out.

"For most of us, at least for us leaders and our fellow ambassadors, the magic particles that got transferred to us have identified our type of music, because the genre of music is what the magic particles depend on to give a specific magic, and gave us magic abilities based on our genres of music. Wind magic for Dante and myself, fire magic for Barb and Val's ability with her burning touch, Delta's earth armor and Holly's earth-structure summoning skill, Trollex's ability to summon and create water, much like his brother Synth's water magic, and Laguna's ability to make water forcefields, Poppy and Branch's flora magic, where the Pop queen can grow flowers while the Pop king is able to grow trees, and the Funk leaders' light magic, where Quincy can create flashes of light, Essence can make anything glittery, exploding lights, and low-Note can create light beams with his sunglasses," Trollzart elaborated.

"As for B and I and Buckaroo, our magic abilities that the magic particles inside of us gave is linked with common magic," Rhythm added.

"That's why R and I are able to use telekinesis," Blues mentioned.

"Ayn' why ay ken be able ta suddenly have surges ov superstrength," Buckaroo commented while flexing her arms.

"And my magic ability to read minds came from the magic particles that got transferred to me, but unlike the other particles, the ones I got also got a hold on Aggie's psychic genes, and took some parts of it when they transferred to me," Melody mentioned.

"And she isn't the only one who got particles with some of Aggie's psychic genes transferred to her: the same thing happened to the leaders, which is why they're now able to have psychic visions too," Val added.

"As for me, yo, we also discovered why I was born with water magic: as from what my bro and I remember, I inherited my water magic abilities from my uncle from our dad's side, our great-aunt, and our great-great uncle. In our family's history, the water powers were passed down to every second-born child of the king and/or queen," Synth recalled.

"When we were in Anticque, Synth found out that our ancestor: Georgius, was a Magic Techno Troll who was originally engaged to Dolly's ancestor, but ran away from Harmonious Land and lived with the Normal Techno Tribe. Where he met our ancestor: Queen Sedna, and they got married. Sedna wasn't originally supposed to be queen, but the eldest heir at the time, her older brother, died of sickness, and she inherited the crown, and since then, every second-born child in our family inherited water powers. So, it's because of Georgius that Synth was born with water powers; because he passed down water magic to every second-born child royalty because Queen Sedna was a second-born child," Trollex mentioned.

"It's all so epic when you retell it," Cooper added with a chuckle.

"He's raheet, why isn't this kaand ov thing written in ayy book? Ay'd love ta read about this, ayn' ay know othuurrs would too," Holly added, as all the Trolls looked at the fourth wall with proud smiles.

"Aside from that, yeah, Aggs, we remember all that happened yesterday," Smidge commented.

"Including someone's live broadcast in admitting about the World Tour," Demo mentioned, causing Barb to facepalm while saying, "When am I ever gonna live that down"?!

Aggie chuckled before saying, "The point is that now that you guys were able to find answers about your new magic, we should continue to work hard to practice your new abilities and master them. Remember what Valentino said: the particles that got transferred from them to you guys have their reasons for picking some of you guys as hosts, as they are "Choosy" in his words. So, I think it'd be good if you guys got more practice in your magic abilities so it becomes easier to use them."

"Aggie's raheet, y'all; we're till new 'bout this here magik thing, we need all the help we ken get," Buckaroo stated.

"That's why I'm suggesting we train together. You guys helped me train in some of my magic abilities, so now, it's time i help train you guys in return. I'll be your magic instructor, and be warned: I may be strict, but I'll still help you guys however I can. But I want to see you give me 100%! Got it"?

"Yes, Aggie," the Trolls who have magic abilities replied in unison, like soldiers standing in file.

Aggie then said, "Prince D, drop me a beat"!

The rest of the Trolls who didn't have magic all cheered and clapped for their friends for the performance.

Aggie smiled, saying, "Perfect. Alright, let's split you guys into teams. All of you without magic, come sit by the edge of the yard so you can watch from a safe distance."

All the Trolls that didn't have magic went to sit by the edge of the front yard.

Aggie walked over to Melody, saying, "Sorry, Mel. That includes you too."

Melody was confused, asking, "Huh? Why me? I have magic, and I want to train and practice too"!

"Yeah, but your magic ability has conditions to activate it: you need to be touching someone in order for it to work, and there's not a lot to practice of it," Aggie pointed out.

Melody sighed sadly, feeling slightly disappointed, but she understood the point Aggie was making, replying with, "True. Ok, fine, I'll sit this out," and went to join the other Trolls that didn't have magic.

Aggie then faced the Normal Troll leaders, ambassadors, Buckaroo, RB, and Laguna, saying, "Alright. Now, I'm gonna pair you guys off to train together and help one another practice. See how you can help each other hone your magic abilities and don't be afraid to try something out of your comfort zone. Poppy and Branch, you're both one team, Barb and Val, you're another team, the same goes for Trollzart and Dante, Delta and Holly, Quincy and Essence, Low-Note Jones and RB, Trollex and Synth, and finally, Buckaroo and Laguna. Spread out so you each have enough room to practice without accidentally hurting someone. Are we ready"?

"Ready," the group declared confidently.

"Shut up! It's too early in the morning for this," a male voice shouted in the distance, causing the Normal Trolls to smile sheepishly and the group to whisper, "Ready."

"Oh my guh, this is gonna be fun to watch," Smidge commented as she sat down with the other Trolls who were gonna watch.

Melody sat down, too, still feeling a little bummed out that she couldn't practice as much as the others since her magic ability had conditions to activate it. Guy Diamond saw this and approached the Pop/Rock Troll, telling her, "Don't worry, Mel. If anything, we can help you practice right here with us"!

"Guy's raheet. If ya want, y'all are mawe than welcome ta read our maands," Gust commented while tilting his hat.

"We could be your practice subjects," Biggie added, saying, "I'd like to see what you could see what Mr. Dinkles is thinking."

Melody gave it some thought before saying, "Alright, then! Sure thing! Who'd like to go first"?

Some of the Trolls started to raise their hands in response, as Melody tried to pick who should go first. The Pop/Rock Troll noticed someone who wasn't raising their hand and smiled, asking, "Sid! How about you"?

However, Sid didn't seem to reply at first, as he looked...distracted. He was staring deeply at the Normal Troll leaders, ambassadors, RB, Buckaroo, and Laguna, watching them warm up and preparing to start practicing their magic abilities. Seeing the small sparkles of magic at their fingertips was enough to make the disguised Flexi-Troll's eyes widen in interest, and he even had a bit of drool dripping off the side of his mouth.

"Uh...Sid," Satin asked, waving her hand in front of his face to try and snap him out of it.

"Earth to Sid," Chenille commented while shouting a bit in his ear to try and get him to listen, but that didn't seem to work either.

"Hey! Hey, you," Cooper commented at Sid, clapping his paws together besides Sid's head.

That finally seemed to snap him out of it, as he shook his head, replying with, "Huh? W-What? Oh yeah, I'll take a burrito with cheese."

"Dude, no one was ordering any food. We were getting your attention because you looked completely spaced out," Demo told Sid.

"And you were drooling, as if you seemed...hungry," Minuet clarified.

Sid relaxed how he had reacted and stated while standing up and scratching the back of his head, "Oh, sorry. I think making up early all of a sudden has made me hungry for mag- I mean, breakfast! Of course, you need breakfast to function! It's the most important musi- I mean, meal of the day," and sheepishly giggled, hiding the reality that he was nervous.

His response, while looking a little strange, seemed acceptable, as the other Trolls within the group all smiled and nodded in understanding.

Sid sighed in relief, sitting back down, and saying to himself, "Phew, that was close. Couldn't let them know why I looked so dazed-," before he felt something in his stomach rumble, but not like if he was hungry and needed food. It felt...different, like it was a hunger for something...different. Something strong, something revitalizing, something...magical, or...musically energetic. He tried to fight the urge to let the hunger kick in, grunting as he tried to mentally suppress it.

While Sid was in the middle of his "impression," Melody told him, "So, Sid, you up for me reading your mind"?

When Sid opened his eyes and saw the Pop/Rock Troll reaching out her arm to touch him, he panicked internally: he couldn't let her read his mind! If she did, she'd find out about what he was thinking, and who he really was! And then, it'd only be a quick matter of time before he gets exposed!

Frigthened, he flinched back and shouted, "Don't touch me," and growled ferociously at her, his reaction surprising the other Normal Trolls.

Melody, a bit startled, pulled her arm back, saying, "Troll Louise, man, if you didn't want me to, you could've just said so."

Sid took notice of how he reacted and quickly apologized, saying, "Sorry, but I...don't want my mind read. I want to keep my thoughts private and-," before he felt his hunger kick in, and tried to brush it off, saying quickly wile standing up, "I'll be back," and ran into the condo.

"What's eating him," Prince D asked curiously.

"Ay don't know; he's acting...odduurr than usual," Gust pointed out.

"Like he's hiding something..." Smidge commented, narrowing her eyes while she gave it some thought, before shrugging and saying, "Or maybe he's just a little cranky he woke up on the wrong side of the like he's keeping something from us, right"?

Inside his room, Sid was pacing the floor nervously, currently in his regular Flexi-Troll appearance, his entire body trembling while his breathing was rapid and shaky.

"Ok, Scales, you can do this. you've curbed your hungry for magic and music energy for about a month; you can do it even longer. Just fight the urge, fight the urge," Sid told himself while he continued to pace.

"Why is this all coming up now? I've been able to suppress the hunger for it before, but now, it's just coming back in such a strong urge," Sid told himself, panicked.

He tried to breathe in and out to stay calm, saying, "Um...um...I got it! Maybe if I just eat something, that should help my mind forget my magic hunger and music energy hunger. That'll help..hopefully."

He went to his fridge to see what was around to eat. The only thing that he could find inside was a box of cupcakes that Biggie had made a few days ago: chocolate lava cupcakes with vanilla frosting, whipped cream, and marshmallows on top.

Sid shuddered, looking at the cupcakes, saying, "I can't eat these things; they're way too sweet, just looking at them is making me feel a cavity coming."

Suddenly, Sid felt his urge come back and tried to resist it, saying, "It's this, or I go crazy for magic and music energy."

He reluctantly picked up a cupcake and plopped it into his mouth, chewing it before swallowing it, commenting, "So sweet and sugary. I can feel the sugar peering through my teeth! I don't know how those Pop Trolls can eat this kind of stuff."

After stuffing another cupcake into his mouth and swallowing it, he placed the box away, and took a moment to let his stomach digest the food, wanting to see if it worked. After about a few minutes, Sid felt like it worked and felt a lot more stable now. Feeling relieved, he smiled, saying, "Ah, that was close. At least it worked, I don't feel the hunger kicking in anymore. Guess maybe I really did need some food after all."

Feeling like it was safe to head back out, he changed back into his Pop Troll disguise and went back outside to join in with watching the practice session.

Back outside, practice had begun getting underway. The Normal Troll leaders, ambassadors, RB, Buckaroo, and Laguna had began to find different ways for them to practice their magic abilities.

Aggie was watching her friends, pacing back and forth with her arms behind her back, saying, "Let's get right to it, guys! Practice makes perfect after all! Try out what you can do with your abilities; get creative, and have fun with it! But be careful, and cautious of your surroundings." While her tone of voice had a bit of strictness in it since she wanted her friends to take their training seriously, she let them practice however they wanted so they can better understand what limitations their magic abilities had and what was possible for them to do with them.

Over by Trollzart and Dante, both Classical Trolls were trying to figure out how they wanted to practice using their wind magic.

Then, Dante got a brilliant idea, which involved him flying over to Biggie, asking him, "Say, Biggie, would you happen to have a deflated balloon on you"?

Biggie smiled, saying, "I do, as a matter of fact," and pulled out a small red deflated balloon, giving it to Dante, who thanked the Pop Troll before flying back to Trollzart, who asked, "Dante, what are you planning"?

Dante replied, "Well, maestro, what better way to practice our wind magic than a friendly game of "Keep the Ballon Up"? We can use our wind magic to try and maneuver the breeze to keep the balloon up from touching the ground."

Trollzart liked the idea, saying, "Ah, what a brilliant plan, Dante! In that case, let us inflate the balloon and get started at once."

Dante took a deep breath and began to blow up the balloon until it was plenty full of air, and tied it at the bottom so it wouldn't leak any air. After the balloon was perfectly blown up, Dante tossed it up and pulled out his baton, waving it and conjuring up a small breeze that made the balloon float upwards.

The balloon floated around until it started to descend back to the ground, where Trollzart took his cue to pull his baton out and conjure up a breeze that blew the balloon back up into the air.

The pair continued to volley the balloon towards one another, trying o keep it in the air as long as they could without it touching the ground.

Trollzart noticed some dried leaves around them and suggested, "Why not start to make things as little more challenging, Crescendo"?

Dante was curious to see what Trollzart had in mind, as he watched Trollzart use his baton to conjure a whirlwind of wind magic that picked up the dried leaves, making them spin around like a miniature tornado.

Trollzart then commented, "Let's try to see if we can keep the balloon up while also keeping this little leaf tornado spinning iwhtout losing either one of them."

"Ooh, what a challenge! Consider it accepted," Dante proclaimed as he made a small breeze bop the balloon back up into the air, before spinning his baton and making a whirlwind to keep the leaf tornado spinning around and around.

The side breezes that were coming from the tornado blew towards the other Trolls that were watching, gently passing through them.

"Ooh! That breeze feels so good, yo," Stereo commented cheerfully while feeling the breeze gently hit her in the face.

"It's just the right amount of cool that it's not cold, and not too warm that it helps us stay cool," McJagger stated, feeling the breeze gently tousle the fur on his neck.

"Doesn't it feel wonderful, Mr. Dinkles," Biggie asked his worm, who replied with a soft "Mew."

Sid felt the wind magic breeze hit him as he felt his hunger for magic and music energy start to kick in, making him panic inside, saying to himself, "Oh no, not again"!

He stifled a growl that was coming up from his throat, and tried to resist it by clenching his fists and doing a slow exhale through his nose, before saying to himself, "Just act natural; just act natural. They can't know, and they won't."

Once the hunger urge seemed to die down, the disguised Flexi-Trll let out a slow exhale, relaxing himself again, hoping that the hunger would go away on its own again.

With the Funk leaders, Quincy and Essence were doing some very "light" training of their own, with a very "unique" approach to it.

Both Funk leaders appeared to be wearing some dark sunglasses over their eyes to protect them from what was about to happen.

"Four," Quincy declared while forming a light ball in his paws and shooting it up, watching it flash and become very bright before dissipating into nothing, almost similar to fireworks.

And speaking of fireworks, right after Quincy's light ball had dissipated, Essence had thrown up a dash of glitter, which sparkled before exploding, similar to the manner of the light ball.

Just then, Essence had an idea, saying, "Q, perhaps maybe we can try to hone in more on accuracy with our magic skills. We can already be able to form our light magic upon when needed, but if we are able to use more accuracy on where we launch it, it could provide some useful intail."

"Great idea, E. Let me set up some targets," Quincy commented before with a press of a button on a remote, some red bullseye targets were immediately conjured up, all set to be used.

Essence decided to try first as she tossed a dash of glitter toward one of the bullseye, as the glitter sparkled before glowing and exploding, leaving a scorched mark on the first round red ring of the bullseye.

Quincy gave it a shot, forming a light ball and shooting it at the bullseye, hitting it right dead on in the center.

Essence praised her husband for a job well done, saying, "Great job, Q. That was a very good shot."

"Thanks, Essence. The key is I'm not trying to aim, I'm just trying to make it go straight; it's all in the wrist," Quincy instructed.

Essence decided to follow her husband's advice, and threw another dash of glitter, this time throwing it straight with a straight flick of the wrist. The glitter sparkled and glowed before exploding, hitting it right in the dead center of the bullseye.

Quincy shot another light ball at the center of the bullseye, hitting it right in the center.

Essence, seeing this, suddenly got a great idea. She shot an intrigued smirk at Quincy, who seemed to catch what his wife was starting to think of, as he started to form another light ball in his paws while Essence grabbed some glitter.

This led to a frenzy of light magic being tossed around willy-nilly at the bullseye, trying to hit it as close to the center of the bullseye, causing a lot of light flickers to be seen by everyone, almost like a flashy light display.

While this was going on, Trollex was having a blast with learning some nifty water skills from Synth, who was more than happy to teach his twin brother.

At the moment, Synth was teaching Trollex how to center a geyser, saying, "Ok, bro. Now, all you need to do is concentrate in one spot, and boom! One splashy geyser comes exactly where you want it from"!

Trollex was watching how Synth centered his hand over the area where he wanted a geyser to come from, as a water geyser emerged from there, and spun around, just below his hand.

"Haha! Then, to make it go high and low, just raise and lower your hand, up and down, like an elevator," Synth instructed.

He raised his hand up and made the geyser go up, before lowering his hand and making it go down. Seeing this, Stnth chuckled, doing the up/down motion a few times, saying, "Up! Down! Up! Down! Top floor! Basement! Sky! Sea"!

Trollex chuckled, watching Synth's playful nature come into play with how he controlled water magic, while saying, "Ok, that is pretty cool"!

"Give it a try, bro! It's easy," Synth commented.

Trollex cracked his knuckles and started to focus on one spot, positioning his hand over where he wanted it to go, and made a small geyser erupt from underneath. slowly, he started to raise his hand up, and while doing so, the geyser was rising with him.

"Yeah, yo! Meh-meh-meh-meh-meh! You're doing it," Synth cheered on his brother, watching him succeed.

"Go, buddy," Beat, who was watching with the other Trolls who didn't have magic, declared, praising Trollex.'

Trollex tried to make it go higher, before the geyser seemed to collapse, and the water splashed down onto the ground, making Trollex feel a little discouraged.

Synth patted Trollex on the back, saying, "Ah, bro, don't worry; it took me weeks to master this. You just got to find your rave groove, yo."

"My...rave groove? What does that have to do with water magic," Trollex asked curiously.

Synth explained, "Your rave groove, the beat you feel inside of you, you let it flow through your arms and your mind, and allows ou to think like water, and move like it. And when you're one with water, yo, it becomes easier to bend and control. Your movement is stiff a bit, like an Elephant Critter with ary-tight-pants."

"It's pronounced arthritis," Gust pointed out to him.

"Thanks, Gust," Synth thanked Gut, before telling Trollex, "It's new to you, but just think of it like when you rave. Find your groove, and go with it."

Trollex gave it some thought before trying again, making another geyser appear, as this time, he tried to "go with it," and move more freely, not trying to focus on one center point. This time, the geyser didn't collapse at the top, as it kept rising higher and higher. Then, when Trollex lowered his hand down suddenly, the geyser disappeared into the ground.

Synth cheered, saying, "You did it, bro"!

"Oh, yeah! I did it! Thanks, Synth," Trollex thanked his brother for helping him learn a new skill.

"Nah, bro, you did it all yourself; I was just giving a helping hand is all. Now, ready to keep going? There's a lot more I want to show ya, and they're so *imitates airhorn noises* to learn," Synth commented.

Over by the Trolls who were watching everyone practice, Melody was offering the chance to whoever wanted her to read their minds.

"Alright, who wants me to see what's going on on the brain," Melody asked.

Tiny Diamond came out of his father's hair, saying, "Do me first, Pop/Rock lady! Tiny Diamond has possibly the radest mind to ever be seen"!

Melody placed her hand on the tiny Glitter Troll's shoulder, and her eyes flashed white, letting her see Tiny's memories.

She saw Tiny's memory of the day he hatched right before the World Tour happened. He had just come out of his egg, and overheard the name Poppy suggested for him, prompting Tiny to pop on a pair of rap sunglasses and begin to rap.

"Yeah! Yeah! Tiny Diamond is my name! Come straight from my daddy's mane! My whole body's made of glitter, and I'll throw it in your face! I love when I make music, and the groove is in my bones! Just like my aunt: Queen Poppy, someday, I'll sit on the throne (King Tiny!)," Tiny rapped beautifully.

Once the memory was over, Melody snapped back into it, saying, "Wow! Who knew rap was your calling, even right after just hatching from your egg"?

Tiny Diamond chuckled, saying, "You know it! Tiny's always spitting great bars and cracking even greater jokes! Bless up, Tiny out," before hopping back into his father's hair.

Melody chuckled before asking, "Ok, who's next"?

Cooper immediately raised his paw eagerly, saying, "Ooh! Do me, Mel"!

Melody felt a little hesitant, commenting, "Um, no thank you, Cooper. I already read your mind back in Anticque, and I could already see where you get your "energetic" personality from," while thinking back to when she read Cooper's mind, and how she saw what he was thinking.

Cooper, luckily, didn't take any offense to it, laughing while saying, "Got it"!

"I'll go next," Minuet volunteered while flying forward.

While Melody read her mind, Sid fidgeted, feeling his hunger kicking in again, as he trembled, hugging his knees while saying, "Just focus on your friends. focus on your friends."

Meanwhile, Holly was stomping her hoof on the ground, creating an Earth structure that rose up from the ground, before saying to Delta, "Alraheet, boss! Give it ayy punch"!

Delta created the earth armor that formed around her fists and reeled her arm back, punching the earth structure, making it crumble and shatter into a bunch of chunky pieces.

"Yeehaw! Bullseye," Delta declared happily.

Holly commented, "Hot dang! Y'all are gettin' good with your aim, Delta"!

"It ain't easy, especially 'cuz these things feel ayy lot heaviuurr than they seem ta be," Delta commented with a chuckle, moving one of her hands back and forth to show how heavy the earth armor felt.

Holly suddenly got a great idea, saying, "Ay maheet know ayy way y'all ken practice usin' your earth armor whaale movin' 'round, so y'all ken be more used ta weight ov it"!

Curiously, Delta raised her eyebrow, asking,m "Oh? How so"?

Holly then began to stomp the ground multiple times while moving around, making earth structures rise from the ground, surrounding both Country Trolls in a rocky circle. Delta was impressed, wondering what the Country ambassador had planned, while Holly began to jump behind the earth structures, saying, "Try ta get me! Hit the earth structure ay'm behaand befawe ay get away"!

Delta chuckled, saying, "Holly, y'all come up with the craziest ideas."

"Sometaames, the craziest ideas are the ones that work. Come on, unless y'all are too scared," Holly playfully taunted, jumping behind another earth structure.

That seemed to spark something in the mayor, who grinned slyly while declaring, "Oh, it's on! Ay'm comin' faw ya, Holly," and swung her arm back, punching the structure that she thought Holly was behind, but Holly had dodged it prior to before the mayor had punched it, making her miss.

Delta heard Holly's giggle, and tried to follow the sound, punching the earth structure she thought holly was behind, but Holly was quick, dodging it before Delta could even "Catch" her. And every time one earth structure was destroyed, Holly stomped the ground and made a new one appear in its place.

"Come here, ya cheeky Country knucklehead," Delta commented playfully while punching another earth structure and making it break.

"Y'all ken't catch me," Holly playfully taunted after making another Earth structure rise before hiding behind another one.

Delta kept punching the earth structures, knocking them over like they were easy punching bags, while Holly playfully dodged Delta's strikes towards the earth structures she made.

Suddenly, while dodging, Holly got a great idea and stomped the ground right under her, feeling an earth structure rise up and carry her up high, with the Country ambassador yelling while being brought up.

Delta looked up, watching Holly rise up high on the earth structure, calling out to her, "Holly? Y'all ok up there"?

Holly shouted back, "Yeah, ay'm ok! Though...how am I gonna get down"?

Delta looked at where Holly was standing before looking at the earth structures that were still standing up. She got an idea d started to punch some of them in specific areas, shortening them to how she saw fit. Once the earth structures were all "adjusted," she shouted, "Okay, Holly! Climb down"!

Holly nodded and proceeded to climb down each earth structure, just like a flight of stairs, and made it back safely to the ground. Safe on the ground, Holly sighed in relief, saying, "Oh, sweet baby corns! Feels good ta be back on solid ground again! Thanks, Delta"!

"Aw, y'all are welcome, Holly. Ready ta continue," Delta commented before forming earth armor around her fists again, while holly was ready to summon another earth structure.

Not too far away from where the two Country Trolls were training, Poppy and Branch were practicing their plant magic, and decided a great way to practice this was by making a small garden by the parking lot.

Branch was currently digging out a square area, before declaring, "alright, Poppy. It's all set; let's make us a garden."

"It was a great idea for us to practice growing flowers and trees by making a garden. After all, it's a nice and fresh way to practice growing plants, and we can even liven things up here with a dash of color and nature, to make the area nicer," Poppy commented as she prepared to practice.

Branch laid out the details, saying, "Ok, so, you are free to take the first two rows to grow as many flowers as you want, and I'll use the other two rows to grow some trees."

"Perfect! Maybe once we're finished, we can offer our friends some of the fruits you grow on the trees as snacks," Poppy suggested.

With that, Poppy and Branch started to work together on the garden. Poppy touched the ground by her rows and started to grow some lovely flowers that peeked through the ground, emerging, and giving off such a pleasant aroma.

Meanwhile, Branch ws growing some small, juvenile trees that were still tall enough to bear some fresh fruit such as apples, oranges, and striped flavor berries.

The sight of the flowers and trees growing were beautiful, it amazed everyone.

Just then, on one of the flowers Poppy has grown, it erupted under her feet and caused it to push her up into the sky.

Branch, seeing this, immediately made a tree grow from underneath him, so he could catch up to her and make sure his wife stayed safe while up on top of her flower.

Up in the sky, Poppy and Branch saw how tall their plants had grown, and especially how high they were, as Poppy commented, "Holy Trolly, we're so high up"!

"Are you ok, Poppy," Branch asked his wife in concern.

Poppy nodded, saying, "Yeah, I'm ok. How about you? You grew that tree right from under you! Just to come check on me? Awwww," as her eyes glistened in awe from Branch's kindness.

Branch blushed a bit, smiling sheepishly, while he said, "Thanks. But maybe we should get down. Think you can climb down on your own"?

Poppy nodded, saying, "Yep; I learned a new trick to climb down. Watch."

She swung her hair around the stem of the flower and slid down, spinning like a little top, before she made another flower grow tall from the ground and catch her, giving her enough distance to jump down safely on both her feet.

Branch, meanwhile, climbed down the old-fashioned way, scaling down the tree like a regular climber. Just then, one of the branches on his tree broke, making Branch lose his grip and fall to the ground.

To his luck, Poppy made a flower appear from under him and caught Branch safe and sound, with Branch thanking his wife for the rescue.

Once he made it safe to the ground, he used his hair to pick two Flavorberries, tossing one to Poppy while saying, "Thanks again, Poppy."

"Aww, you're welcome, Branchifer," Poppy replied, kissing her husband on the cheek.

Speaking of teamwork, R&B, Low-Note Jones, Buckaroo, and Laguna decided to train together as a group, and they had come up with a fun way to train.

The little group had come up with a fun game called "Tower Power" where the goal was for one Troll, who would volunteer, to hold up as many items as they could without either losing an item or without putting the items down for as long as they could.

At the moment, Buckaroo was the Troll who wanted to carry all the items to put their magic superstrength to good use. They stretched their arms and cracked their knuckles, declaring, "Alraheet, y'all! Lay it all out on me"!

"Alright, alright, alright," R&B declared happily in unison before Blues shouted, "Laguna, one water forcefield arena, please."

Laguna raised her hands up and created a water forcefield over herself, R&B, Low-Note Jones, and Buckaroo, saying, "One forcefield at your services."

Low-Note Jones then pulled out a large trunk, saying, "Alright, babies. Let's get this party started."

Rhythm started things off by using her telekinesis to pick up two medium-sized boulders and gave them to the Country Troll, who easily held them up without trouble. Blues then piled on two lawn chairs on top, allowing them to start holding the items up higher.

Low-Note Jones tossed up a beach ball onto the pile of items, as R&B then made things more challenging by using their telekinesis to add a grill and a heavy sack of flour.

Low-Note Jones then added a metal RC car on top of the pile of items, saying, "We're stacking things up high, baby."

Buckaroo could feel their arms waver slightly but didn't give into the exhaustion, giving it all they had, strength-wise, to hold up the items, declaring, "Ay ain't even breakin' ayy sweat yet. Give me somethin' harduurr, y'all"!

Low-Note Jones then smiled, saying, "Want a challenge? Then, perhaps Low-Note Jones might challenge you to keep your tower up...while on the move," as he tilted his glasses and made a small laser beam appear, aiming at the ground near Buckaroo's feet.

The Country Troll saw this and smiled, jumping back and moving their feet to dodge each little laser beam Low-Note Jones fired at them.

Meanwhile, R&B started to add more to the "tower," using their telekinesis to bring forward a beanbag, a trumpet, and even a frying pan, adding it to the tower of items Buckaroo held up.

Now, this was starting to become more of a challenge, as they did their best to hold everything up while also dodging the laser beams Low-Note Jones were sending out. Meanwhile, as the pile tower started to grow, it was slowly making its way to reaching the ceiling of Laguna's water forcefield, while the Techno Troll focused on keeping the forcefield up.

Buckaroo did a jump back while R&B decided to make the tower fun by adding another kind of tower on it: a tower made from a long stack of playing cards that were stacked up just right.

They struggled to hold it up, with the tower getting heavier by the second while dodging each of Low-Note Jones's laser beams, which was starting to become difficult because of the shifts of focus for each task.

Finally, they weren't able to hold it up any longer and shouted, "Timber," before some of the items that they were holding up started to fall over.

R&B quickly tried to catch some of the items that fell over, including the card tower, and the lawn chairs, using their telekinesis to catch them, but that didn't stop the other items from falling around them, including the bag of flour, which broke when it landed on their back, covering them head to tail in flour.

"Uh to the oh," R&B commented, surprised to see what happened, as they were so surprised, their telekinetic hold wavering and vanishing, making the items that they were holding up fall down to the ground.

"You doing ok there, Buckaroo," Low-Note Jones asked the detective.

Buckaroo coughed, shooting a puff of flour out of her mouth, before answering, "Just ayy little...floury. But ay'm just faane, luckily."

Just then, everyone had enough time to look upward to see what was going on, before they all got splashed by a thin layer of water that soaked them, including Buckaroo, which made their flour-covered body thick and sticky.

They turned their heads and saw that the water had come from Laguna, who had lowered her hands, which had lowered the forcefield, and made it come crashing down on them. When Laguna saw what happened, she smiled sheepishly, hiding her hands behind her back while saying, "Sorry, perhaps I should've said something to let you know that I was going to lower the forcefield. My arms were close to falling asleep, so I wanted to lower them so I can rest for a bit."

"Woohoo! Your water forcefield looked amazing, boo," McJagger cheered out loud, causing Laguna to blush heavily, giving another sheepish grin.

Buckaroo shook off the excess dough that covered her body, saying, "Whel, that oughta teach me ayy lesson in doin' heavy liftin' with flour while ay'm unduurr any sources ov watuurr."

Some of the dough landed on Sid's face, causing him to lick it off hesiotantly, but it did nothing to curb the rising feeling of anxiety he was feeling. His hunger for magic and music energy was growing, and it was only a matter of time before it would explode, and he was struggling to hold it in any longer.

"Hey, Sid, you doing ok," Cooper asked, seeing how tense he looked.

"I'm...just...fine," Sid grunted out, feeling another hungry growl trying to emerge.

"You sure? You seem very tense. Are you sick? Is something bothering you," McJagger asked while sticking a thermometer into his mouth to check his temperature.

Sid spat out the thermometer, feeling a little more annoyed, commenting, "I said I'm fine; I'm not hurt or anything, and-," before feeling another growl trying to escape, as he held it in, grunting while scrunching his face.

McJagger saw this, commenting, "You don't look ok. Is there any pain in-," and wanted to feel his forehead, reaching his paw out to him.

However, Sid saw this and, out of nowhere, let out a fierce growl, shouting, "Get away from me," and bared his teeth, almost swiping at the red Funk Troll.

McJagger, worried, quickly reeled his paw back, saying, "Woah, woah, easy"!

Sid could feel his hunger making him act out, and he was ready to lunge at him, but he pulled his own hand back, saying, "Must...resist...," before he ran back into the condo, panicked.

Everyone saw this, with Branch asking, "Is he ok"?

"We don't know; he's been acting strange all morning since we came out here," Legsley answered, with everyone looking very concerned about their fellow friend.

Buckaroo looked at how Sid ran back into the condo and decided to follow him, walking inside to try and talk with him.

As practice resumed, the heat was coming from Barb and Val, who were doing unique experiments with their fire magic abilities.

Val was currently holding a marshmallow in her hand before placing her other hand over it, pressing the marshmallow together. Her burning touch made the marshmallow melt in her hands, so once she lifted one of her hands up, the marshmallow splattered all over it, and it was a melty, gooey mess.

She then used her hair to pick up a spoon and scooped up the melted marshmallow from her hands, placing it on top of a piece of chocolate that was resting on a small graham cracker.

Smiling in awe, Val placed one more graham cracker on top of the marshmallow, saying, "Voila! I give you a Val's Burning Touch Smore Spectacular"!

Barb, who was trying to practice juggling fireballs that she created with one free hand, and juggled with the other hand, saw and commented, "Oh wow! That looks good"!

Val then got a great idea and picked up the freshly made more, using her burning touch to toast it, before plopping it into her mouth, saying while chewing, "And it's even better when it's extra crunchy"!

Barb made another little fireball before using now two hands to try and juggle them, moving her hands as quick as she could to keep the fireballs up in the air. Suddenly, while juggling, Barb inexplicably made another stray stream of fire that seemed to "connect" all the fireballs together, turning it into a fire ring.

"Cool! Ring of fire," Barb exclaimed as she tossed the ring up, where it flickered before the fire went out and vanished.

"That looked so cool! Say, you think you can try to make another one," Val asked.

Barb created a few more fireballs and juggled them, moving them around as fast as she could before summoning another stream of fire to connect them together, making another fire ring.

Val then did a front flip, her burning touch leaving two hand imprints on the ground where she flipped, and leaped through the fire ring, the ring exploding behind her after Val had leaped through it, as Val then skidded on her knees on the ground, both hands up in the air while doing the Rock hand gestures, as the Hard Rock ambassador exclaimed, "Rock and roll forever"!

The crowd of Trolls that were watching the practice session all cheered after Val finished the little stunt, as Barb commented, "Wow! That look like it'd be a sick move to do during one of our concerts"!

"Yeah! I was thinking maybe with something like that, we could incorporate a stunt, or a sick guitar smash, while we leap through the rocking ring of fire," Val explained before she smelled something and asked, "Is something burning"?

Barb looked around before noticing that Val's skirt, behind her, was slightly on fire, catching some of the flames when she had leaped through it, making her say, "Uh...your skirt is."

Val looked behind her and saw where her skirt was on fire, causing her to scream and quickly sit on the ground, using the dirt to put the fire out, before sighing in relief once it was put out, commenting, "Maybe we need to work on it a little more."

"Or maybe try not leaping into fire," Melody joked, causing everyone to laugh from the joke, including Val, who laughed while rolling her eyes playfully.

Barb suddenly got an idea, asking Val, "Say, Val, remember when you tried to melt that ice block yesterday and make a shape out of it? Think maybe you can use your burning touch to try and boil water without having to use a stove"?

Val gave it some thought, replying, "I don't know; ice is easy to work with because it's just frozen water, and you can shape it. Not only that, but it's not like I'm dunking my hands in a tub of water, so I don't know if it's possible. But I'm sure it's worth a shot; I just need to get a bucket of water."

Prince D went into the condo and got a bucket full of water from the kitchen sink, bringing it towards Val and placing it in front of her, before heading back to the others to sit back down.

Val looked at the water hesitantly, unsure of give ign it a try, as she asked, "What if, when I place my hands in the water with my burning touch, my hands harden like cooled magma"?

"Who knows what might happen? But you should give it a try just to see," Barb answered back.

Val looked back at the bucket of water and allowed her hands to heat up with her burning touch before placing them both into the water, watching a little bit of water steam a bit on top before it vanished. A few seconds later, the water started to bubble slowly before it became boiling hot.

Val was very surprised to see this, saying, "Cool! I can even heat up water with my hands INSIDE a body of water! Could you imagine how cool it'd be that if we make a pool, with just a hand touch, I can turn it into a jacuzzi"?

"Ooh! That'd be so rocking," Barb answered back, smiling, impressed.

"Man, Sid is missing this; what is he doing inside the condo," Smidge asked while looking back up at the condo, while the others were wondering what the "Pop" Troll could be up to.

Inside his condo room, Sid felt like his mind was gonna go haywire any minute! The urge of his hunger trying to take over him was getting stronger, and despite the tough front he was putting up to fight it, it just seemed like it was close to wearing him out.

He sat on the couch in his room, curled up, his breathing a lot faster than before, his hands gripping the top of his head, while he emitted small growls of frustration/defense, trying to ease his body and mind and desperately trying to fight against his hunger for magic and music energy.

"Don't focus on the magic; focus on friendship. Don't focus on music energy; focus on friendship," Sid kept whimpering quietly to himself repeatedly, feeling the little montra failing to curb the urge from growing.

Suddenly, a knock on his door made Sid jump in fright, falling out of his seat.

Sid's body trembled as he shakily walked over to the door and opened it to see who it was. When he saw it was Buckaroo, he quickly tried to act like everything was ok, nervously smiling while saying, "H-Hey, detective! W-What brings you to my humble abode"?

Buckaroo replied in concern, "Ay've noticed y'all have been actin' kaand ov off today. You're mawe shaky, you're lashing out in outbursts, ayn' ay saw when y'all almost snapped at McJagguurr ayn' ran off. Are y'all feelin' alraheet"?

Sid bit his lower lip, quickly trying to make up an excuse, replying, "Oh, y-you saw that? Uh...my bad, I, uh...I've just been...grumpy? I...hadn't gotten some goodnight sleep and it's making me act a little cuckoo."

Buckaroo could easily tell Sid was lying as they raised their eyebrow, saying, "Alraheet, what's really going on"?

"N-nothing; I...I'm just having a bad day is all," Sid hesitantly replied, adding, "I should be back to normal by tomorrow."

Buckaroo still didn't seem to believe Sid for some reason, prompting them to then ask, "Ken ay come in ayy second"?

Sid could feel his nerves rising as he didn't want to have Buckaroo in the room with him right now; what if this curbing hunger caused him to act out again and make him lash out at them? The last thing he wanted was for Buckaroo to get in the crossfire of what he was going through today and get hurt from it.

He fought back a hungry growl of frustration building up in his throat as he said, "No, at least not right now. I'm piecing something...personal, and it's a private thing, so, I'd appreciate it if you left me alone for the time being."

Buckaroo's suspicions were at an all-time high, and as much as they wanted to just walk in and start questioning Sid about what was really happening, they also didn't want to anger Sid by doing something that might be invading his privacy, especially if whatever was happening really was a "personal" matter.

So, they let out a heavy sigh, saying, "Alraheet then. Ay understand; if this is ayy personal thing, ay'll let you work things out. But if y'all do need me, ay'm gonna be back outsaade practicing, 'kay"?

Sid nodded and proceeded to close the door, but before he could do it all the way, he felt his magic and music energy hunger kick in again, making Sid grunt and stumble back, falling backwards while holding his head, letting out a shout while he did so.

Buckaroo heard this through the cracked-open door, and out of concern, swung it open, slamming it shut behind her as she entered the condo room, and saw Sid curled up on the floor, his hands on his head, as if something was going through his head.

"Sid," they exclaimed as they galloped to Sid, asking, "Sid, what's wrong?! What's happening ta ya"?!

Sid's fast breathing was the only response they got as they saw how dilated Sid's pupils looked as if something seemed to be taking over his mind, and he seemed to be fighting something inside of him.

Buckaroo reached out to Sid, wanting to place a hand on his shoulder, saying worryingly, "Sid..."?

Suddenly, Sid turned his head around and snarled at the detective, causing them to stumble back a bit in shock while Sid growled scarily. He got up, bearing his teeth, and was standing crouched down/ready to pounce.

"Sid! what in hay is wrong with y'all?! Speak ta me," they asked, starting to feel a bit fearful for their friend.

Sid scrunched his face and tried to fight the urge, but all he could exclaim, his hunger clouding his mind, was, "MAGIC! MUSIC"! before he suddenly glowed and changed back to his regular Flexi-Troll appearance.

Buckaroo was utterly stunned by what they had witnessed; they didn't even know what they had witnessed! What happened to Sid?!

Before they could even respond, Sid let out a loud tiger-like roar and pounced, tackling the now-scared detective to the floor, and pinning them so they couldn't break out of it so easily.

Buckaroo had absolutely no time to fight back, not like they could, because they were terrified by what had just happened to their friend...and now scared for their life.

Sid snarled, bearing his sharp teeth at the detective (a sign of a Flexi-Troll hungry for magic and music energy), as he raised his right hand up, his fingers turning into claws, before he tried to swipe at them.

Buckaroo quickly turned their head to avoid the worst of it, feeling him scratch their left cheek.

Sid growled menacingly before suddenly...something made him stop.

His growls slowly started to fade away, and they slowly turned into breaths, his breathing soon being the only sound he was emitting. His pupils seemed to return back to normal, as he looked down and saw the sight in front of him: he was on top of Buckaroo, they had a three-lines scratch on their cheek that was starting to bleed...and he was in his regular appearance again.

His eyes widened in shock as he looked down at his hands, his right hand, where his claws had turned back into fingers, had a bit of blood on them, as he got up, stepping back frightfully, realizing what he had just done.

His breathing became panicked, the Flexi-Troll panicking about what he had just did: he just changed back in front of one of the Normal Trolls! His real appearance was seen by that Normal Troll! And worst of all, his hunger for magic and music energy just made him attack them! They just got...because of him!

Sid didn't know what to say, or how to respond, but he did something unexpected: he dropped to his knees...and cried. He didn't even bother to change back, he was too overcome with emotions to say anything.

Buckaroo saw Sid crying and, despite still shook from what had happened, felt bad for Sid. They got up and walked over to the Flexi-Troll, who looked up at Buckaroo fearfully, worried they would do something in retribution to his attack on them.

To his surprise, Buckaroo hugged Sid, letting him cry in their chest. Buckaroo stayed silent as their arms remained gently wrapped around Sid, who kept saying while crying, "I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry"!

After a while, Sid's sobbing seemed to cease, as he felt a lot calmer now, saying, "Damn...I haven't had a cry like that since...a while."

"Cryin's only ayy natural emoshun; it's perfectly faane ta feel laake that," they replied back, still holding him close in case he had a second wind coming.

"But...I...don't like to cry. Something about it just feels...not ok," Sid admitted, before adding, "Yet...I feel a little better from crying my heart out. Is it weird that it seems to help me feel better yet I don't like it"?

They shrugged their shoulders while answering, "It ken feel that way; naw one really laakes ta cry. It ain't ayy good feelin', ayn' straight up: naw one thinks they look good cryin', less they some sort of actor, but it's essential. We always try ta stay strong when things get us down aw shakes us up, but...it's Trolly nature ta feel things, whether they're good aw bad."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Cry Pretty by Carrie Underwood~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sid sniffled a bit, still feeling the guiltiness feeling residing in him from hurting them, especially seeing how Buckaroo still seemed so strong about talking to him, despite what he did. Something in him seemed to stir, as he felt his heart open up a bit...and start to sing.
Sid: I'm sorry, but I'm just a Troll. Not usually the kind to show my heart to the world. I'm pretty good at keepin' it together. I hold my composure, for worse or for better.
Suddenly, to his surprise, Buckaroo seemed to join him in the song, singing the next verse with something he didn't think he ever saw in her before: vulnerability.
Buckaroo: So I apologize if you don't like what you see. But, sometimes, my emotions get the best of me. And fallin' apart is as Trolly as it gets. You can't hide it; you can't fight for it. But the truth is...
Stirred by this, both Trolls stood their, facing one another, and singing together.
Both: You can pretty lie, and say it's okay! You can pretty smile, and just walk away! Pretty much fake your way through anything! But, you can't cry pretty.
Buckaroo: Oh no, you can't dress it up in lace or rhinestones.
Sid: Don't matter if you're in a crowd or home all alone. Yeah, it's all the same when you're lookin' in the mirror.
Buckaroo: A picture of pain, so, let it flow like a river.
Both: You can pretty lie, and say it's okay! You can pretty smile, and just walk away! Pretty much fake your way through anything! But, you can't cry pretty.
You can't turn off the flood when the dam breaks! When all your mental strength is goin' to waste! When things get ugly, you just got to face that you can't cry pretty.
Sid: Oh, no, you can't!
Buckaroo: Oh, yeah!
'Cause you can't turn off the flood when the dam breaks!
Sid: When all your mental strength is goin' to waste!
Buckaroo: When things get ugly,
Sid: You just got to face that!
Both: You can't cry pretty! Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!
No, you can't cry! No, you can't cry! Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, woah! You can't cry! You can't cry pretty, oh, yeah!
No! No you can't cry pretty, yeah!
Seeing that he was feeling a bit better after their song ended, Buckaroo sat down next to Sid on the floor, saying, "Glad to see y'all are feeling bettuurr...because we need to talk about this...now."
Sid knew that him being discovered was gonna happen one way or another, and now, he had to tell the truth to one of his first and closest friends. He sighed, saying, "Ok...I'll tell you...everything.
And in a span of 15 minutes, Sid laid it all out to Buckaroo; he told her everything: his Flexi-Troll species, his tribe, his tribe's history, all of it.
By the end of it, Buckaroo was shocked, stunned, surprised, and most of all: speechless.
Sid now sat anxiously, saying, "So...now that I told you everything...you probably want to hate me...right? 'Cause I can't blame you if you do. I basically have been lying to you about who I am for almost an entire month, hiding my species and who we really are, and worst of all: I just attacked you out of my hunger for magic and music energy. I get it if you never forgive me or never want to talk to me again. I'll even let you punch me as equaliser for me hurting you."
Sid braced for whatever was gonna come, or what wouldn't come; either way, he was terrified, guilty, and ashamed.
Buckaroo didn't even know how to react at first, but the first thing they said was, "Sid...why would even think ay'd hate ya"?
That surprised the Flexi-Troll, who opened his eyes, and, very confused, asked, "Huh? Wait, you...don't...hate me"?
"Why would I," Buckaroo replied with a shrug.
Sid, still confused, commented, "Uh, I just basically laid out that my Troll tribe species are supposed to be evil chaotic gremlins who feast on magic and music energy and love to fight, and I had just attacked you, unintentionally, but still attacked you! Isn't that enough to hate me? Aren't you mad at least"?
"Oh trust me, ay'm furious at ya," Buckaroo replied, showing a stern facial expression, before lightning up, saying, "Faw not bein' truthful ta me about who ya really were. Ay knew y'all were different, but ay didn't know y'all were actually ayy different Troll in Pop's clothin'. Ayn' ay ken understand why y'all are haadin' laake this, so ay do get ya. Ay just wish ya told me soonuurr. Plus, considerin' what y'all been internally faaghtin' ovuurr this taame, the fact that y'all have been suppressin' this "urge" ya called it? Urge ta try ayn' make ayy change faw yourself, ta become ayy bettuurr Troll out ov it, ayn' get ta befriend us...that's mawe than enough ta show me that y'all ain't as bad as you Flexi-Trolls appear ta be. Ayn' ay've been around ya long enough ta know your real self: your honest, wholesome self, so...even something laake this...ay ken't hate ya faw it. Nevuurr ken. Y'all are my friend, ayn' ay always want ta look out faw ya, ayn' help ya howevuurr ay ken, ayn' now that ay know mawe about your true self, if y'all want, ay could do everythin' ay ken ta be ov service ta help you move from your past from your kingdom ayn' help ya move forward. "
Sid was surprised, asking, "But...how? How can you just willingly be ok about all this and still want to be my friend and help me out, even after what-," before he felt his hunger trying to take over again, making Sid scrunch his face and try to fight the urge, growling in frustration.
Buckaroo, watching this, then did something very surprising: they pulled out their harmonica from their hair and offered it to Sid, saying, "Here."
Sid opened his eyes and looked at the harmonica, asking, "What's this"?
"Suck the music energy from it, ayn' it should help curb your hunguurr. Ay don't know if it ken hold faw long, but it'll at least help ya feel bettuurr; ay ken't bear ta see ya sufferin' laake this any longuurr," Buckaroo replied.
Sid couldn't help but feel guilty, saying, "But...that's your harmonica. It's your instrument, I-I can't just do this and have it taken away from you."
"Ay ken always get anothuurr one...but ay ken't get anothuurr friend laake ya if ya get sick aw have anothuurr outburst because ov this. Please, just do it...faw me," Buckaroo pleaded.
Sid looked at the detective's concerned/pleading eyes as he looked at the harmonica and gave a heavy nod. He brought the harmonica up to his mouth, and he slowly started to do a big inhale. The harmonica glowed a bright orange, as the glow seemed to exit the harmonica and entered Sid's mouth. He continued to do this for a good 30 seconds before the harmonica had become grey, and crumbled into a bunch of tiny pieces, and the last bit of the orange glow entered Sid.
Sid took a minute to catch his breath before feeling his hunger go away, and feeling much better. He looked at the broken harmonica before looking up at Buckaroo, saying, "Thank you...Buckaroo. I...really owe you one for this."
Buckaroo smiled, giving Sid a side-arm hug while saying, "Hey, ay'm just happy ta see ya feelin' bettuurr."
They then got up, saying, "Come on, let's head back outsaade befawe the othuurrs worry 'bout us."
Sid got up and was about to follow them before he said, "Uh, wait. Buckaroo"?
Buckaroo turned their head and looked at Sid, who asked, "About my...Flexi-Troll species and everything...no one else knows about it yet. Except for Aggie, she kind of found me out right away, but everyone else doesn't know yet. Can you...keep it a secret for me? At least until I can...tell the others"?
Buckaroo bit their lower lip, saying, "Ay don't know, ay don't laake holding big secrets laake this, but aftuurr everythin' that happened today...ay don't want ya ta stress out any mawe. So...faane, ay'll keep it ayy secret faw now."
Sid smiled, saying, "Thank you," before he changed back into his Pop Troll disguise, and joined the detective while they left Sid's room.
2 minutes later, Buckaroo and Sid (who had changed back into a Pop Troll) came out of the condo to join the others. Sid sat down with the other Trolls who didn't have any magic while Buckaroo went to resume their training with their new magic superstrength.
While they were practicing lifting the boulders again, Holly saw the scratch on her best friend's cheek (which wasn't bleeding anymore) and gasped in concern, saying, "Buckaroo! What happened ta your cheek"?
Buckaroo placed the boulders down and replied while placing a hand over the scratch mark, "Ay uh...had ayy nasty fall insaade, but uh..it's feeling ayy bit bettuurr now. Sid helped put some Vix on it ta get it ta stop stingin'."
Holly, to her luck, accepted that answer, saying, "Whel, ay'm just happy you're alraheet. That's gotta be some fall ya had ta get hurt laake that."
"Maybe you should rest a bit, in case your injury worsens," Branch advised while growing a small tree from the ground.
"Want me to get an ice pack? It'll help it from swelling," Essence asked after tossing some glitter up at the bullseye as it flashed light and exploded at the center of the target.
Buckaroo bit their lower lip, feeling nervous about keeping how they really got hurt a secret, but they pushed those worries down, saying, "It's ok, really, guys. Ay'm faane; ay'm both physically ayn' mentally strong, ay don't let cuts ayn' scratches keep me down. Let's continue trainin'; we still got plenty of daylaheet left."
"If you're sure, Buckaroo, then alright," Aggie commented, saying, "But don't be afraid to stop and take a breather if you do need a moment to rest. I don't want you to push yourself too far."
"Got it, partner," Buckaroo replied while giving a thumbs up, before proceeding with training.
After a long morning of practicing their new magic abilities, everyone decided to sit down and rest, feeling exhausted. Some of the Trolls had a few scuff marks and dirt patches, others had small cuts from accidentally hurting themselves during training, but they were satisfied with the progress they made.
Biggie had ordered food from a restaurant called Rumble Cabana, which served Spanish-culture dishes such as arroz con pollo, tortillas, empanadas, and nachos. When the delivery Troll dropped off the food, Biggie paid him, and everyone each got a container with their names on it so they could eat what they ordered.
To help mend some of the injuries, McJagger was passing out band-aids for those who got a cut or scrape. However, while he was handing them out, he saw that he was running on low, and Buckaroo was the last Troll who needed a band-aid.
They said they would go inside to get one and went into the condo to grab a band-aid, with Sid anxiously following the detective. Inside, Buckaroo went into the kitchen to grab the box of band-aids that was in the small cabinet next to the fridge.
While Buckaroo was grabbing the box of band-aids in the kitchen cabinet, Sid came towards them, standing by the doorway, and said, still feeling guilty for what had happened earlier when he scratched them, but relieved when Buckaroo didn't tell the others about it, "Hey. Thanks for not telling them that I'm a..."
"Ayy Flexi-Troll," the detective softly answered while opening the box of band-aids, pulling out a square-shaped one for themself.
Sid panicked and said in a hushed whisper, worried someone might see or hear them, "Shhhh, don't say it so loud"!
He then stood by Buckaroo, asking, "Uh... what about you? How've you been since, uh..."?
Buckaroo sighed and replied while placing the band-aid on their cheek, "Since ay found out who ya really were? Since ay learned the truth about ya ayn' your real species? A-ay'm still processin' it all, ayn' ta be keepin' it all ayy secret from the othuurrs...aw my Troll, Sid. If they realaaze what ay'm doin' ta protect ya, they're all gonna hate me," and covered their face, worried about what would the other Trolls think if they knew about this, especially about them keeping his real identity a secret.
Sid tried to sound reassuring, scoffing while saying, "What? Psssh! No, of course they won't. They won't hate you any more than me when they find out that... I'm actually a different species of Troll who's... supposed to be bad and... steal magic and music energy...disguised... as one of them...," while internally panicking about the possible consequences of telling the others about who he really was, the panic showed from how wide his eyes became, and the slowly saddening tone of his voice.
Buckaroo saw how worried the disguised Flexi-Troll looked at they patted him on the back and offered him a reassuring smile. Walking back out of the kitchen, they walked through the doors and were back outside, and they saw their friends talking about how fun their practice session was.
"We'll tell 'em. When we're ready," Buckaroo commented.
Sid let out a slow exhale through his nose, saying, "No, telling them is something I need to do...when the time is right. I'm scared about it...but I know it has to happen soon," while fidgeting with his thumbs nervously.
Buckaroo then surprised Sid by holding one of his hands, saying, "Ayn' when ya do tell 'em, ay'll have your back, Sid."
The pair saw that they were now holding hands and blushed instantly, feeling a bit awkward as they both reeled their hands back, giving shy smiles in response.
"Ya know, this morning's definitely been quaate ayy magical, in ayy lot ov ways," Buckaroo said while scratching the back of their neck.
"And you know something? I think there's already a magic I have that's better than any MMT magic in the world: the magic...of friendship and...I wouldn't want to ever lose it. I'm gonna sound so corny, but, you guys mean a lot to me...more than I can say. Being friends with you guys...is probably the best decision I've ever made," Sid admitted while shuffling his foot.
Both Trolls looked into one another's eyes for a while before they heard a bunch of voices saying, "Awwwwwwww."
Sid and Buckaroo turned their heads and saw the rest of the Normal Trolls looking at them, making Sid shout in fright while Buckaroo was surprised, asking, "How long were y'all standing there"?
"Long enough to see you two seem to be getting close," Poppy squealed.
Sid and Buckaroo both blushed simultaneously, crossing their arms while turning their heads away in embarrassment, and saying in unison, "It's not like that/It ain't laake that"!
Everyone was having a good laugh when Tiny felt the wind pick up and made his napkin fly out of his hand and into the air, causing the Glitter Troll child to say, "Hey, the wind's taking my napkin"!
"I'll get it," Cooper shouted as he placed his container in his hat and chased after the napkin, running down to the sidewalk, where he swan dove to catch it, grabbing it with his front paws.
To his luck, he caught it, making him smile and say, "Got it"!
Then, a brand new female voice chimed in, asking, "Are you ok there"?
Cooper turned his head to see who had asked that, and when he saw who was the one who had asked him that question, he suddenly felt...dazed, staring blankly at them and...blushed.
