Trolly Tales 4

Aggie took a deep breath in as she exclaimed while walking to Pop Tribe Library, holding an umbrella, "Ah! What better way to spend a rainy morning than inside the library"? Melody, who was behind her while wheeling a stroller and also holding a large umbrella to cover her and the egg inside, said, "Normally, Val and I would spend rainy mornings playing fun video games, but mom recommended I take my future sibling to the library and indulge it in some literature. Besides, it's a nice way to spend my day off and have some sibling time with Little Eggy here. Isn't that right, ya cutie," as she patted the egg, who jiggled a little in content. However, when they entered the library and closed their umbrellas, Aggie and Melody screamed in shock when they found the library's shelves bare. Aggie, in disbelief, asked, "Where are the books?! Usually, these shelves are full of them"! Melody looked around as she stated, "Okay, one of three things could have happened. One, Laguna could be on a massive reading sweep again. Two, it's reshelving day. Or three, someone came in here and stole all the books." Luckily for them, a voice gave them the answer, saying, "Note: Option 2 is the reason why all of the books are missing." Aggie and Melody turned and saw their friends Laguna and McJagger sitting at a table. They both smiled and started to walk towards them as Aggie said hello to Laguna while Melody said, "What's up." to McJagger. As they sat down, Melody asked, "How long have you two been in the library for"? McJagger answered, "We've been chilling here for a solid 5 minutes before you two showed up. We found that the books are being reshelved. So, we'll have to wait before we can dig into some sweet, sweet literature."

Laguna then noticed Melody holding onto a stroller as she awed at what was inside, saying, "Aw, who's cute little egg is this"? Aggie and Melody chuckled as Aggie replied, "It's Melody's mom's egg. She had it a week ago, and Melody and Val have been helping her take care of it." Laguna seemed to be fascinating as she said with wide eyes and interest in her tone of voice, "Fascinating! I've never seen a rock troll egg before, and it's so adorable"! McJagger extended his neck to look at the egg as he said, "A chill little thing. Melody, do you know if it's a boy or girl yet"? Melody shook her head before saying, "Not a clue, but so far, we've decided on names for it. If it's a girl, we're calling it Evie, and Bill Jr if it's a boy." Everyone awed at how cute the names sounded as Melody then said, "Originally, my mom recommended I come here and read to it, but seeing as that is not a viable option right now, it looks like we're going to have to wait until a book becomes available." Aggie then came up with an idea as she says, "Well, maybe we won't need to wait. What if we make up our own story," as she pulled out a stack of blank paper, some crayons, markers, glitter, and glue. Laguna then asked in curiosity, "Come up with our own story and turn it into a book ourselves"? McJagger rose his front right paw, saying, "I think that's a great idea. We can all express our creativity and make something magical together." Melody snapped her fingers and said, "I agree with McJagger. Plus, us making a book can maybe inspire Little Eggy to one day be an author. I'm in." Laguna rose her hand up, saying, "I'm in too." Aggie laughed as she said, "Then, let's make a book! What kind of story should we do"? Melody stood up on the table and said, "Oh! Let's do a story with a lot of action, like Indiana Troll, my favorite comic series! We can all be explorers and search for a lost city of gold while fighting an evil cyborg who wants to take over the universe"! Seeing Melody mimic hero poses and karate moves made everyone move back a little in nervousness to avoid getting hit by accident.

McJagger placed his paws up and said, "Easy, Mel. While that sounds like a good idea, I think we should dig into something a little less energetic. How about we do a fairytale? Something expressed in the world of fantasies." Aggie then commented, "Cute idea, McJagger, but why don't we turn it up a little and do something romantic? Nothing says great literature than a romance novel"? Melody rolled her eyes as she says, "But romance novels are always the same. Girl meets boy. Boy meets girl. They fall in love, kiss, the end. Always the same. And don't get started on the other details because either way, somehow, it always ends the same." Laguna then suggested, "I think I have a story idea that best suits all our interests. Why don't we do a medieval-themed story? It's a fairytale, involves a lot of action, and has a romance between a brave hero and a charming princess." Everyone seemed to like that idea as Melody commented, "Laguna, you are a genius," as McJagger placed his arm around the Techno troll, saying, "Groovy idea, Laguna," before they both shared a kiss. Aggie and Melody awed at the cute scene, with Aggie commenting, "Can we make Laguna and McJagger our prince and princess because they are so cute together," making the couple blush in embarrassment. The egg shook a little as Aggie commented, "Even the egg agrees with us." Melody then got another idea, saying, "I know! Why don't we all make our own medieval stories and then combine them to make one big book together"? Laguna answered, "The subject appears to be stating a great idea. All of us creating our own stories and then sharing them in one big book." Aggie then pulled out more art supplies as she said, "I got everything we need. So, let's make some stories, guys"! McJagger added, "I will make the pictures while you ladies start writing the stellar stories."

Everyone grabbed some paper and began to write and draw their own take on medieval stories. About three hours passed before Melody held her story up, saying, "Done," excitedly. Everyone loomed up as McJagger chuckled while saying, "Dang, did you write at supersonic speed"? Melody thought about it before saying, "Not really. I already had an idea on what I wanted to write and just got right to work." Laguna then asked, "So, what is your story about, Melody"? Melody organized her papers as she said, "I shall tell you, Laguna. Now, everyone, and egg, listen as I tell you my medieval tale: The Quest For The Golden Shield"! She first showed her title picture, consisting of a blue background, the title, her name on the bottom, and an image of a golden feather dipped into a cup of ink.

The Quest for The Golden Shield

Narrator (Melody): Long ago, there lived the proud kingdom of Clashicus, which was well-known for three main things in other kingdoms: its legendary knight squad, the Shining Stars, epic jousting tournaments, and being the home of legendary hero Melodious the Brave. Unlike the other knights in the guild, she was the only female knight who served, and her legacy was one of many accomplishments. She went up against the fiercest foes through the kingdom, including archnemesis King Trevor, who was utterly defeated in the final battle of wits. However, there is but one thing she has yet to accomplish to be deemed worthy of being Captain of the Royal Guards: she had to pass the Clashicus Gauntlet. This event was a brutal mission to retrieve a treasure unknown to troll-kind then and was considered a myth: the golden shield. Legends say only a true hero will find it and be able to wield its abilities. It is said to offer impenetrable defenses and grant immortality to its wielder. Plus, it would also allow the wielder to be able to grant wishes from its fellow companions. Many naive knights have gone on this mission and were never heard from again, so Melodious knew that she would have to train hard to complete this challenge. After months of physical and mental training, she was ready to do the challenge when the time came for her.

Melodious the Brave (Melody): Goodbye, my beloved kingdom. If I do not return from this fierce journey, then may my legacy be held within the castle walls for all to see, and I bid you adieu!

Narrator (Melody): With a mighty statement, Melodious the Brave ventured out to complete the Clashicus Gauntlet and retrieve the Golden Shield. Along the way, she had to fight a dragon who nearly roasted her for dinner, solve the orc's master riddle to be allowed access across Deadmen's Bridge, and sneak past the forest elf who was ordered to behead anyone who got in its way. As she trekked through Candy Forest, she came across a friend in the form of a small but adorable wood nymph, who appeared in a dazzle of light.

Melodious the Brave (Melody): Hark! Who are you, creature?

Agatha (Aggie): I am Agatha, the wood nymph, but you may call me Aggie. Where are you going, brave hero?

Melodious the Brave (Melody): I am off to complete the Clashicus Gauntlet and retrieve the golden shield!

Agatha (Aggie): Ooh! Sound like fun! Can I go with you? It gets lonely here in Candy Forest. No one has a sweet tooth these days. Plus, everyone thinks I'm weird just because I can see the future. And I'm always ignored because I am so small. I wish I were bigger, about your height, so maybe, some new friends can notice me.

Melodious the Brave (Melody): My word! No one should ever be friendless, whether they have a magic ability or not! You can accompany me on my journey, dear Aggie. You could provide some aid in case we face danger. Plus, it was getting kind of lonely out here by myself anyway, and who knows? Your wish could get granted.

Agatha (Aggie): Really? Oh, thank you, brave hero. Follow me, and I will show you the way out!

Narrator (Melody): With that, our brave hero, with the help of her new wood nymph friend, continued on her gauntlet quest. As they ventured through the land, in Snowy Fields, they came across the cold, harsh winds that have frozen many heroes to death.

Agatha (Aggie): Brrrr! It's getting frigid! I can feel my wings freezing!

Melodious the Brave (Melody): You can take cover in my helmet. It's warm inside and shall keep you safe from the storm.

Agatha (Aggie): Thank you, brave hero.

Narrator (Melody): Melodious kept trekking through the cold when she came across a white abomatroll. Usually, they are fearsome and tend to act aggressively towards others, but this one seemed to be quite...chill.

Abomatroll (McJagger): Hey there, fellow creatures. You look like you are far away from home. Is there any way I can help you?

Melodious the Brave (Melody): Hello, kind abomatroll. My friend Aggie and I are on a quest to find the golden shield. Would you point us in the right direction?

Abomatroll (McJagger): No problem. You want to continue going straight, then head into Potion Bog. Would it be alright if I accompany you? My strength and wits can help you on your quest.

Melodious the Brave (Melody): Of course, my friend. The more, the merrier. By the way, do you have anything you desire granted?

Abomatroll (McJagger): Well, I guess my only wish is for a less shaggy coat. It can be a real hassle managing this coat, especially in these high-speed winds.

Melodious the Brave (Melody): Then, join us, and maybe your wish shall be granted

Agatha (Aggie): Yes! *flies out of helmet* Join our merry gang!

Narrator (Melody): Now, with the kind abomatroll by her side, Melodious the Brave continued on the complete the Clashicus Gauntlet. As she and her friends entered Potion Bog, they were advised by a lone mockingbird not to touch any of the potion bogs because their effects on you could be disastrous. Aggie used her staff to shine a bright light through the bog while the abomatroll used his freeze breath to keep Melodious cool when she felt too hot. As they were halfway there, Melodious spotted an old tavern that looked like it was abandoned. Suddenly, a gust of magic made the tavern disappear, leaving a flat floor and what like a wizard, who appeared to be quite frustrated that her spell was not working.

Sapphire (Laguna): Gemstones, five, and amethysts, ten! My spell has failed me yet again!

Melodious the Brave (Melody): Good morrow, wizard. You appear to be struggling. May we ask what the matter is?

Sapphire (Laguna): Leave me be! I am busy, can't you see?! Conjuring spells and casting potions with vast effects, powers, and motion!

Abomatroll (McJagger): You seem to be rhyming a lot. Is that a natural thing?

Sapphire (Laguna): I recently consumed a rhyming potion. And now, my articulation is one of great notion! For some, they may say that I can act as a poet. But I don't want to, but I can't stop. But a solution? I don't know it!

Agatha (Aggie): Oh, you poor thing. Speaking in rhyme all the time must be a lot of stress.

Melodious the Brave (Melody): Join us on our quest, dear wizard. Perhaps some time from your work can allow you to clear your head and find the solution you desire so that you can prohibit your voice from anymore rhyming.

Sapphire (Laguna): Hmm. It's been a while since I've traveled with a friend. All right! I shall travel with you to the end. The name's Sapphire, in case you wanted to know. Now, no more introductions! Let's go!

Narrator (Melody): Now, with Sapphire aiding her journey, Melodious the Brave and her friends left Potion bog and continued hunting for the golden shield. Finally, they arrived at the location where the shield is said to rest: Mount Diamond. The shield rested at the top of the mountain in a cage made out of steel. It was made out of pure gold and had its circles filled with gems, firestones, rubies, and diamonds. Our hero and her friends made the exhausting trek up the mountain until finally, they reached the top.

Abomatroll (McJagger): Dang. I need to work on my cardio a lot more.

Agatha (Aggie): It's exhausting flying all the way up here, especially when you're small. I don't even know how the fairies can fly such distances like this.

Sapphire (Laguna): Buck up, weaklings, for we are near. For the golden shield should be somewhere here.

Melodious the Brave (Melody): Hark! I have found it! It is in this cage!

Agatha (Aggie): It's more beautiful than I ever imagined!

Abomatroll (McJagger): I can open this cage for you. I am pretty strong.

Narrator (Melody): The abomatroll picked up the cage and carefully removed the top with its brute strength. Melodious the Brave picked up the golden shield as it shimmered in the light upon placing it on her arm. She could feel a surge of power flow through her body as she then faced her friends and prepared to grant their wishes. She pointed the shield at each of them as they had their wishes granted under a shining beam of light.

Agatha (Aggie): *grows up to Melodious's height* Wow, I am so big! Yahoo!

Abomatroll (McJagger): *feels almost 10 pounds lighter with a shorter coat* Brr. Now that feels good. It was getting hot under all that heavy fur.

Sapphire (Laguna): Did it work? Has my rhyming stopped? *touches throat* I just spoke, and no rhyme has come out. Yay! I can articulate clearly again!

Melodious the Brave (Melody): I must thank you, my new friends, for helping me achieve this gauntlet challenge. I could never have done it without your help.

Narrator (Melody): Accompanied by her new friends, Melodious the Brave made the long journey back home and brought eh golden shield directly to the king himself. Everyone in the kingdom was stunned since no knight has ever completed the challenge before. Melodious became Captian of the Royal Guards, and as for her friends, they were given some special acquisitions. Aggie got to become Melodious's assistant and royal advisor. The abomatroll surprised everyone by showing its stellar cooking abilities and became head chef of the kingdom. Sapphire became the king's right-hand sorcerer and conjured spells that not even the greatest wizards could accomplish. And they all lived happily ever after—the End.

Everyone applauded Melody's story, as Aggie commented, "Wow! That was so cool! I like how you named the wood nymph after me." Laguna added, "Indeed. It was a riveting tale." McJagger even mentioned, "A quest involving meeting new friends that help you. Such a sweet story." Melody smiled as she then asked, "How are your stories coming along, guys"? Aggie held hers up as she said, "I'm done. I did a medieval take on one of my favorite fairytales: The Little Techno Troll. You'll love it. Ahem."

The Little Techno Troll

Narrator (Aggie): Once upon a time, in a kingdom that resided near a huge dock. There lived a pink Techno Troll named Agatha, who usually loved to swim around, play with her friends, and explore the ocean. However, while she had a lot of fun doing this, deep down, she sometimes wished that she could be on land and walk around on two feet as the land trolls did as opposed to having a tail. Not that she didn't mind having one, but this was something she longed for. Especially after recently discovered something that made her pixilated heart sing. She was collecting some shiny stones along the shoreline when she heard someone coming. She dived underwater but barely peaked her head up to have a look. Standing on top of a dock was a handsome, surprisingly cute troll, and he looked like he was a prince. He had dark blue skin, green hair that he wore in an upright ponytail, and wore a lot of fancy clothing, though the sleeves were rainbow-themed. However, instead of wearing fancy shoes, she noticed that he looked like pixilated flippers, but he kept them hidden from the other people around him.

Agatha (Aggie): Ooh! Such an interesting troll. It seems like he loves the water as much as I do. Oh, I wish I could talk to him, but there's no way he could want to talk to me. I'm just a techno troll, and he's a prince.

Narrator (Aggie): Agatha felt bad that she wasn't a land troll like the prince was. She desperately wished she had feet, so maybe...just maybe...she could walk up to him and talk to him. Suddenly, she saw some stern royal guards who seemed to be harassing him before she watched them tie his hands up, adding what looked like a weight to the rope. A cruel, wealthy lord came up to him and seemed to tell him something before one of the guards shoved him, making the prince fall into the ocean and sink like a rock. Agatha swam as fast as she could to help save the prince but remained hidden because she did not want him to spot her if he thought she was dangerous. While the prince struggled to free himself, Agatha found a sharp piece of a sea shell and used it to cut the ropes. When the prince felt the ropes loosen, he immediately tried to swim back up to the surface but started to lose consciousness. Agatha swam as fast as she could, carried him back to the surface, and laid him out on the shoreline.

Agatha (Aggie): Your majesty, are you ok?

Prince (Trollex): *coughs* Hm? Wha?

Narrator (Aggie): The prince coughed up a bit of water and struggled to open his eyes. Once he did, he saw Aggie, who was near his face, looking at him in curiosity. The prince didn't know if he wanted to stumble back in surprise or let the girl come closer. But before he could, he heard some voices coming his way. As the prince turned his head, Aggie quickly escaped back into the water as the prince was met up by the king and his royal advisor, who were relieved that the prince was safe. The king informed him how the guards and lord who tried to kill him were arrested, but the prince didn't seem to care about that. All he cared about was wanting to thank the girl who saved him, but when he turned to talk to her, she was nowhere to be found. Underwater, Aggie was swimming back to Corral Cove where she met up with her glowfish friends Bubbles, purple, and Shimmer, who was pink.

Shimmer (Melody): Where were you?! We were worried, sick! Do you have any idea how hard it is to be the voice of reasoning for two panicked parents?!

Agatha (Aggie): *facepalms* I'm going to get lectured by them again so badly. Hopefully, dad doesn't ground me with no sponge jumping for a week...like last time.

Bubbles (Laguna): Why do you insist on keeping your head up in the light zone? You know all the fun and friends you have are down here. Do we have to sing the song again to show you?

Agatha (Aggie): You don't need to sing the song, but honestly, guys, you know how I am. I yearn to be on land. And you're not going to believe this, but today, I rescued a land troll from drowning.

Bubbles and Shimmer (Laguna and Melody): You what?!

Agatha (Aggie): Yeah! Some bad trolls tried to drown him, but I saved him in time. Plus, he seems to like the ocean as much as I do. And...he's cute *blushes*

Shimmer (Melody): Ok. On the one fin, that is kind of romantic. But on the other fin, you almost risked getting seen. Imagine what he could've done if he saw you were a Techno troll.

Bubbles (Laguna): Note: I just agree with Shimmer on this one. You know what happens if a land troll sees you. You could risk getting captured and sold off for profit.

Agatha (Aggie): He's not like that, girls, at least, I don't think so. He looks like a young prince, and from what I saw, his skeleton is made up of multiple caring bones in his body. Oh, if only I had legs and feet like him, then maybe, I could meet with him safely.

Wave (McJagger): Maybe I can help you make your wish come true *appears in a flash of light*

Bubbles, Shimmer, Agatha (Laguna, Melody, Aggie): Who are you?!

Wave (McJagger): Sorry for my sudden intrusion, friends. The name's Wave, and I'm a wish-granting sea cucumber.

Voice Break (Melody): "Ok, time out a second. Aggie, I may not have read the story, but I am pretty sure there's no wish-granting sea cucumber in The Little Techno Troll. And how is this a medieval spin on the fairytale? So far, all we've seen is a castle, some guards, and a prince."

Voice Break (Aggie): "I am getting there. You just have to be a little more patient. Now, where was I? Oh, yes."

Wave (McJagger): I'm a wish-granting sea cucumber. I travel the oceans in search of those who need help by granting them wishes. Now, I hear you wish you had legs and feet so you could walk on land and meet someone who's got your heart beating fast?

Agatha (Aggie): Yes, Wave. I do, I really do.

Wave (McJagger): Well, I have just the thing you need to make that wish come true. *conjures up a pink seashell necklace* This enchanted necklace will give you legs for three days. As long as you keep it on, you'll be a land troll for that time period until sunset on the third day. That's when it runs out of magical energy and needs to recharge, and you'll turn back into a Techno troll.

Agatha (Aggie): Oh, thank you so much, Wave! *puts the necklace on*

Wave (McJagger): My pleasure. Just doing my job. Now, you be careful, and if you ever take it off before the three days are up, you have about 5 minutes before your tail reappears, so make sure you don't lose it.

Narrator (Aggie): As Aggie swam back up onto the surface, she could feel the transformation begin to occur. Her tailfin started to separate and become two legs, her pixilated heart began to fade, and she now started to need oxygen to breathe. Once she broke the surface, Aggie took a huge breath as she started to stumble her way back onto dry land. Upon reaching the shoreline, she first became intrigued by how the sand felt between her toes before realizing in her reflection that at the moment, she was...nude.

Agatha (Aggie): Ah! *covers herself* I need something to cover myself before someone sees me.

Narrator (Aggie): To her luck, by an old shipwreck, there was a rainbow flag that was not being used. Agatha quickly picked it up and fashioned it into a peasant's dress. Satisfied, Aggie then looked down and saw that now, instead of her tail, she had legs and feet as she wanted, but something was a little off. Instead of having two pink legs and feet, like her body color, she had one purple leg and foot and an orange leg with a hoof at the end of it. However, Agatha did not seem to mind as she decided to give them a test run, walking to the castle to find the prince. Inside was like a madhouse, with many servants, lords, knights, and trading assistants flocking the courtyard. Aggie wandered around but kept getting shoved by the arrogant knights, who told her to move and get out of their way. As she was pushed to the ground, Aggie began to wonder this really was a good idea and began pondering on going back home when she found herself face-to-face with the prince himself.

Prince (Trollex): Are you ok? Sorry about those knights. They tend to be a bit...aggressive. *helps her up*

Agatha (Aggie): I'm alright, sir. Just...a little nervous is all. It's...my first time here, and I'm not used to being within such a large group of people.

Prince (Trollex): Ah, I know the feeling. I'm not a fan of large crowds myself unless it's a big party, then, I love a good crowd, especially when we play music. But usually, I like to spend time by myself and go swimming when no one's around.

Agatha (Aggie): I'm guessing your a fan of the ocean, your majesty?

Prince (Trollex): I love it! Seeing all the magical creatures swimming about, a life so free and not being held down by tiresome responsibilities. I mean, yeah, one day, I do wish to be king, but right now, I want to be free and live my life the way I want to.

Agatha (Aggie): I know the feeling. Back where I'm from, it's always a party every day. We dance, sing and love to hang out with our friends. You'd love my friends Shimmer and Bubbles. They're fun to hang with. Still, sometimes, I want to do what I feel is right throughout the fun, even when others disagree with me.

Prince (Trollex): Guess we have a lot in common *blushes*

Agatha (Aggie): Guess so *blushes"

Narrator (Aggie): Over the course of two days, the Prince and Agatha developed a symbiotic friendship with one another. They chatted and shared their love for the ocean, and other common interests, including a high interest in Techno music. They shared jokes and funny stories about their childhood and cool memories they treasure the most. The Prince would dance with Aggie whenever the band would play as they elegantly waltzed across the courtyard. Many spectators were shocked to see the prince spending his time with what looked like a peasant girl. Some of the visiting princesses noticed Agatha and grew jealous because they worked so hard for his attention, yet she walked right in and got swept up into his arms instantly?! However, those two days seemed to fly, and as the day was close to ending on the third day, Agatha knew she had to return to the ocean before the magic wore off and everyone saw who she truly was. So, she asked the prince if they could talk privately on the beach for a minute.

Prince (Trollex): So, what did you want to talk about?

Agatha (Aggie): *sighs* Your majesty, I need to show you something, but before I do, you have to promise not to tell anyone what you see.

Narrator (Aggie): As the prince agreed, Aggie took a deep breath as she slowly started to walk into the water until she seemed to disappear into it completely. A bright glow appeared from where she disappeared as the Prince cried out her name in shock. He ran into the water and dunked his head to check if she was ok, only to end up touching noses with Aggie underwater. He pulled his head out while madly blushing and ended up falling back as Aggie peaked her head out of the water, also blushing as well.

Prince (Trollex): Are you alright, Aggie?

Narrator (Aggie): Aggie then lifted her tail, showing it to Trollex as the prince was shocked, but then noticed a familiar look in her eyes.

Prince (Trollex): Wait a minute...you were the girl who saved me a couple of days ago! You saved my life! So...you're a Techno troll?

Agatha (Aggie): *nods* Yes, your majesty. I'm...a Techno troll. I was granted a wish to have legs for a couple of days to talk to you and make sure that you were okay. But I feared that if I came in this form, then either you would get startled or someone would try to kidnap me or sell me off for profit.

Prince (Trollex): Oh, Aggie, you shouldn't have to be afraid of hiding who you really were from me. If anyone wanted to try anything, I would sacrifice my own life for your well-being. After all, I owe you my life after you saved me. Aggie, I'm going to say probably one of the most honest things I can muster. I love you with all my heart. And I want to live with you for the rest of my life. I only wish there was some way we can be together without having to stay separated from the land and ocean.

Agatha (Aggie): I got an idea! Wave!

Wave (McJagger): What's up, my Techno buddy?

Prince (Trollex): Oh my! Is that a talking sea cucumber?!

Wave (McJagger): You better believe it. And did I hear you wish you were a Techno troll so you could live with Aggie underwater?

Prince (Trollex): Didn't really say anything, but yes! I wish to be a Techno troll and live in the ocean with my sweet Agatha- I mean Aggie, and all of her friends and family under the sea.

Agatha (Aggie): *laughs* it's alright, Your majesty. For you, I'm willing to make an exception.

Wave (McJagger): You got it, baby. One transformation coming right up

Narrator (Aggie): Wave shot a glowing slime ball up into the sky, which then exploded and began to surround the prince before it took him into the water. Then, he could feel his body changing as his skin became neon, his green hair became more like thin threads, his rainbow sleeves became his arms, and he grew a pixilated tail that replaced his legs. Once the prince had finally become a full Techno troll, he gave his new tail a flick and swam around freely, extremely happy.

Agatha (Aggie): Wow, you're majesty! You look so adorable as a Techno troll!

Prince (Trollex): *blushes* Aw, thanks, Aggie. And...call me Trollex from now on. That's my real name.

Narrator (Aggie): Fueled by excitement, Aggie swam up to Trollex as they shared a romantic kiss, at first a little startled, which slowly changed to pleasure. As they separated, they started to swim back to Aggie's home and lived happily ever after. The End.

"Woah! I got to say, not what I expected, but I loved it! What a romantic spin on a classic tale," exclaimed Melody, who was really intrigued by the story. Laguna also commented, "Indeed. I felt like the prince, and the Techno troll exceeded happiness levels once they fell into each other's arms. So romantic." McJagger chuckled as he added, "I like the sea cucumber you added. He seems like a fine fellow and someone I'd want to meet." Aggie was blushing as she said, "I had a lot of fun writing this," as Melody commented with a smirk, "I bet you did, Aggie. That blush you've been wearing since you first started tells us everything." Everyone shared a heartfelt laugh as Aggie playfully pushed Melody out of her seat, making her collide with the floor while saying in embarrassment, "Melody"! As Melody got up, she first made sure the egg was comfortable in its stroller, and it was, before saying while sitting down, "Ok. So I shared my story, Aggie shared her story, so Laguna, you're the last one to share your tale." Laguna adjusted her glasses as she said while organizing her papers, "Note: my medieval tale is also one of my own creation, and I feel like this story will certainly have your heads spinning in excitement: The Princess Who Became A Knight." McJagger grabbed another sheet of paper to draw on as he said, "I'm ready to illustrate, baby. So, read away." Laguna smiled and blushed a little as she began to tell her story.

The Princess Who Became A Knight

Narrator (Laguna): Long ago, there lived a small yet bountiful kingdom treasured in its amiable folk town. The villagers there lived in peace and harmony, and everyone got along and shared what they had with others who needed it more. It created a balanced ecosystem where high morals of kindness and compassion exceeded all valuable forms of currency. The creator of this fine, harmonious way of living was its ruler, King Seafoam, and his wife, Queen Aggie the Fifth.

Voice Break (Aggie): "Hold on a minute? I'm married in your story"?!

Voice Break (Laguna): "Indeed, but no worries. King Seafoam is Trollex, so...it still matches within your current relationship status."

Voice Break (Aggie): "Oh, my"! *blushes* "But I'm only 18, and Trollex and I are still a little young to be hitched"!

Voice Break (Melody): "Hahahaha! Oh, man! I am enjoying this story already! Please, continue, Laguna."

Narrator (Laguna): Together, King Seafoam and Queen Aggie have created a kingdom where all can embrace each others' company and benefit from their helpfulness. Once the rulers started a family, they ensured that their children grew up to embrace this lifestyle. Their eldest son, McJames the Third, heir to the throne, was the pure definition of being kind. He took time out of his day to help those struggling to get by or suffering from not enough essential materials or necessities. He helped anyone and everyone he could, even those outside the kingdom, which led to many powerful alliances, which greatly impacted the trading system. Their other children took an alternative method to the caring way of living by expressing it through other cultures. Their daughters, only younger by a month: Princess Sparkle (Twilight), became a dressmaker, making clothing for everyone. At the same time, Princess Harmony (Melody) became a baker and baked many pastries for the villagers, especially those who could not provide enough money to place food on the table. To many, seeing princesses at work was a sight to behold, but in this kingdom, they wanted to spread their kindness and love for the village by giving back in any way they could, making their parents happy. That left their final daughter, Princess Lily (Laguna), to determine her place. She, too, had a desire for giving back to her community but felt a little out of place. Like her sisters and brother, she wanted to be productive, but no job in the kingdom seemed to suit her just right. One day, she sat outside on the steps of the castle as her brother and sisters returned from work to find her alone and sad.

McJames the Third (McJagger): Hark! What a day! I planted a magic garden for a low-income family outside of town and helped the blacksmith restock on coal minerals.

Harmony (Melody): Great to hear, brother! Now, the family won't starve through the cold winter, and the blacksmith can create more horseshoes for the horses. You shall make a wonderful king someday.

Sparkle (Twilight): She's right, mate! With you helping father this year, we're all going to survive through this gnarly freeze, and no one will have to suffer through this ripper of a snowstorm coming in a few months. Don't you agree, Lily?

Lily (Laguna): I guess, dear sister.

Harmony (Melody): Oh, what's wrong? Is something bothering you?

Lily (Laguna): It's nothing. Just...you're baking to help feed the hungry, Harmony. You're sewing fabrics to help keep the people from freezing, Sparkle. And you're helping others and destined to be a great king, McJames. But what can I do? What does my destiny have for me to be?

McJames the Third (McJagger): Oh, Lily. You'll soon find your place in our kingdom. And even if you don't, we'll still love you because you're a part of a family. And family is always there for each other, no matter what.

Lily (Laguna): But that's the problem. I can't help wondering what exactly is my place. Am I supposed to do something more with my life, or am I really destined to only being a princess?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~You'll Play Your Part (from MLP)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Laguna: It isn't that I'm ungrateful for all the things I have earned, for all the journeys I have taken, all the lessons that I have learned. But I wonder where I'm going now what my role is meant to be. I don't know how to travel to a future that I can't see. I have my family. I wear this crown. I'm a princess; this is true. But it's still unclear to me just what I am meant to do. I want to have a purpose, want to do all that I can. I want to make a contribution. I want to be a part of the plan.
McJagger: Your destiny's uncertain, and that's sometimes hard to take. But it will become much clearer with every new choice you make.
Twilight: Patience is never easy. I understand wanting more. I know how hard it is to wait to spread your wings and soar.
Melody: But you stand here for a reason. You're gifted, and you are strong. That crown is upon your head because you belong!
McJagger, Twilight, Melody: Know that your time is coming soon. As the sun rises, so does the moon. As love finds a place in every heart, you are a princess. You'll play your part.
Twilight: We understand you wanting more. A chance to shine, a chance to soar.
Melody: Soon will come the day it turns around!
McJagger, Twilight, Melody: Know that your time is coming soon. As the sun rises, so does the moon. As love finds a place in every heart, you are a princess. You'll play your part.
You are a princess. You'll play your part.
McJames the Third (McJagger): Someday, you'll find what suits you best, Lily, and your time will come to shine with your kindness.
Narrator (Laguna): As her siblings entered the castle, Lily was left to ponder her siblings' advice. However, her thoughts were interrupted by the sounds of metal clashing and hoofsteps entering the courtyard. Coming inside was the castle guards, consisting of some of the bravest knights in the kingdom. Laguna watched as the knights lept off their steeds and high-fived one another for a successful patrol session. Laguna has always been fascinated with the knights and how heroic they were, stopping bad guys from spreading disharmony in the kingdom and saving the day from thieves, killers, etc. Then, she started to develop the greatest idea ever! Since knights were so helpful in the kingdom, why couldn't she be a knight? With that, she marched right up to the captain and decided to ask if becoming a knight was possible by her standards.
Lily (Laguna): Sir Forester! May I ask you something in particular about being a knight?
Sir Forester (Branch): Sure thing, Princess Lily. Whatever may be on your mind, you can ask.
Lily (Laguna): See, would it possible for a princess to become a knight?
Narrator (Laguna): As Sir Forester processed this sudden question, a lot of the passerby in the courtyard gasped at the question at well. Not because it was a bad thing, but because it was uncommon for females in general to become knights, much less a princess desiring to become one. So, to them, this was quite a rare opportunity to witness.
Sir Forester (Branch): Um, I am not sure, your highness. I mean, becoming a knight is not an easy task. It is one that requires brutal training and a high study in battle techniques and weapon usage. And even if you do become a knight, you'll be experiencing a lot of heavy battling, including some battles where we might not come back from. Are you sure this is something you would want to do?
Lily (Laguna): Yes, Sir Forester. I think...nay...I know it deep in my heart. This is something I really want to do.
Narrator (Laguna): With that proud declaration, and some convincing to her parents, Sir Forester agreed to train Laguna to become a knight. Over the course of two months, Princess Lily took her studies very seriously, memorizing each weapon the knights had in their arsenal and identifying which situation they would be needed in. She was given a small fake sword to practice her strikes and slashes, and surprisingly, she was a fast learner. In a week, she advanced through every training sword they had and was allowed to use a real sword for her future training sessions. Sir Forester taught her how to stake out, keep an eye out for danger, and plan battle formations depending on what kind of army they were facing, which creatures they were opposing in battle, and their fighting style. Whenever Forester was not training her, Lilly would practice her sword skills by stabbing a hay dummy or read up about certain topics that he discussed with her earlier that he did not go into deep detail about. McJames, Sparkle, and Harmony were surprised but proud to see their sister striving to reach something she desired to become so much. However, no one was more proud than her parents, the king, and queen, who watched and even aided Lily now and then with her training, depending on what she was doing. King Seafoam helped Lily learn to camouflage herself within her surroundings, and Queen Aggie helped Lily brush up on fighting opponents who flew around a lot. One day, Sir Forester took Princess Lily to an old corral where wild country trolls lived.
Sir Forester (Branch): Alright, princess. Now, if you're going to become a knight, you need to pick out a steed that will be your fighting partner from here on out. You don't have to worry about them acting hostile towards you because they are really nice and friendly towards other trolls."
Narrator (Laguna): Princess Lily looked at the wild country trolls, who couldn't help but look up and smile at her as she waved at them. Suddenly, a loud whinny caught her attention. She noticed some of the royal guards were struggling to keep one wild country troll still in a separate gate. She had muddy yellow skin, swamp green hair that was a little messy but kept straight down, except for two small braids in the front, and light green eyes. She was also wearing a sandy brown vest and an orange-and-white checkered shirt underneath it, and a brown cowgirl hat with a golden chain around it and a golden horseshoe on top. This wild country troll neighed louder than any of the other trolls and was trying to kick the royal guards that came near her. She looked either really annoyed or extremely ticked off, but only Lily could tell what that troll was really feeling.
Lily (Laguna): Sir Forester, that troll's in pain! We got to do something!
Sir Forester (Branch): What do you mean, your highness? That troll's been like this since it arrived about a week ago. I think she just needs time to settle in and trust us before allowing her near trolls, but what you're seeing is the look of mistrust. That troll is fine.
Lily (Laguna): No! She truly is hurt! Look at her back right leg!
Narrator (Laguna): Sir Forester took a closer look as they both approached the rampaging wild country troll and saw that Lily was right. There was a big read sore spot on the troll's back right leg, and judging by how red it was, it must've been hurting bad. Then, despite Sir Forester's protests, Lily jumped into the corral and started to approach the angry country troll. It looked at her before fixating a glare as she drove her left hood into the ground, pushing some dirt back as if she was ready to charge while exhaling a puff of smoke from her nose. Lily didn't run away in fear, nor show the troll that she was nervous. Instead, she calmly breathed in and out and tried to talk to the country troll.
Lily (Laguna): Hi there. It's ok. You don't have to be scared of me. I want to help. That leg must be hurting really bad, and the pain's making you act all cranky, am I right?
Narrator (Laguna): Despite her initial anger and frustrations, the country troll slowly started to calm down as she stopped moving and kicking the royal guards.
Thunder (Buckaroo): Yeah. Thay ...err pain's a-makin' me madder than ayy raging bull. What's it ta you, princess?
Lily (Laguna): I want to help you. No one should have to suffer through any pain, especially if they are hurt. I can help heal that wound up, but only if you let me come close to you.
Thunder (Buckaroo): *whinnies slowly* Oh, alraheet. But naw funny business, ya hear me?! Ay don't care if you royalty aw nahwt, ay will kick ya ta the next kingdom if ya try ta pull anything!
Narrator (Laguna): Princess Lily signaled one of the royal guards to release the rope that held the hurt leg as she came to the wild country troll, bowed in gratitude, before coming up to inspect the leg. She knelt, carefully, and held the leg gently by the hoof. She then pulled out a bandage and began to slowly and carefully wrap the wound in it so the troll would not get startled. Once the wound was completely wrapped up, Lily got up and walked back to face the country troll.
Lily (Laguna): There you go! Your leg should feel a lot better now. Can you stand on it?
Narrator (Laguna): The country troll slowly placed her back right leg down before doing it again a couple of times, her smile growing each time.
Thunder (Buckaroo): *neighs loudly and happily* My leg feels raheet as rain! Finally, done took someone with brains awful long enough ta see my situashun ayn' actually do something ta help. Thanks, princess. Ya know something? You all raheet.
Sir Forester (Branch): Amazing work, your highness. How did you know that she was in pain? I always thought that she just had some trust issues, no offense, ma'am.
Thunder (Buckaroo): None taken, soldiuurr, and y'all can call me Thunder. Ayn' just so you awful clear, y'all could have done avoided a-havin' y'all's men try ta wrangle me like ay'm some wild manipulatable puppet if y'all had just done asked me ta begin with. Ay nevuurr done had naw mistrust aw hatred towards others, ay'm as kind as they come. Ay were just ayy little cranky because av y leg injury ayn' y'all's attempts ta rein me in only made the pain worse.
Lily (Laguna): Guess you just needed someone to see what you were really going through and act on it, right, Thunder?
Thunder (Buckaroo): Now, ya a-speakin' my language, gerl.
Lily (Laguna): Thunder, I was wondering. I'm training to become a knight. Would you like to be my trusty steed? Together, we'll get to face danger, go on epic, legendary adventures, explore new lands beyond our wildest dreams, and-!
Thunder (Buckaroo): Hold up, because ay'm gunna stop y'all raheet there. Ya had me at adventures. Ay'd be honored ta be thay young majesty's steed. Besides, ay owe ya aftuurr ya helped heal my leg.
Narrator (Laguna): Lily became ecstatic as she now had a steed, just like the knights did. Her dreams of becoming a knight were one step closer to becoming a reality. But before she could start heading back to introduce her new steed to her siblings, a castle servant came rushing towards Sir Forester, informing him that a dragon just kidnaped the king and queen. Everyone gasped in shock as Lily became extremely worried about her mother and father's safety!
Lily (Laguna): Mother! Father! Oh, what do we do, Sir Forester?! I can't bear to see them in danger!
Sir Forester (Branch): Do not worry, your highness. My army and I will track down the dragon and rescue your parents, knight's honor,
Lily (Laguna): Is there any way I can help?
Sir Forester (Branch): I am afraid this is something we official knights have to take care of ourselves. We can't risk putting you in the line of fire in case the dragon attacks or does something drastic with them. We will take care of it. You and your siblings stay safe in the castle.
Narrator (Laguna): While Sir Forester began to summon his army together, Lily could not help but feel extremely worried. What if the dragon did do something to her parents? What if Sir forester and his knights were not enough to defeat it? She knew she had to help, no matter what. With Thunder by her side, she headed back to the castle and snuck into the armory room. She slipped on a shining silver suit of armor that was just her size. Placing the protective helmet on her head and closing the special flap to protect her face, she grabbed her sword and shield before looking into the mirror, making sure everything fitted perfectly and that she was fully prepared. Then, she placed a brown saddle onto Thunder as her steed smiled and brushed her hoof on the ground, preparing to charge out, like earlier. Lily hopped onto Thunder and grabbed the two front braids while flicking them as if they were reins. Once Sir Forester and his army were gone, they both snuck out and were ready to follow them secretly and help out on this dangerous mission.
Lily (Laguna): Let's save my family! Hyah, Thunder!
Thunder (Buckaroo): *neighs loudly* Let's go!
Narrator (Laguna): At lightning speed, Thunder galloped as fast as her legs could take her, trotting speedily through the open fields and forests of the thick green brush. At the end of the forest was a tall mountain with a huge dark cave in the middle. Hovering in front of it was a big, red, scaly, fire-breathing dragon, and he looked angry. He kept shooting fireballs as the knights dodged and tried to rescue the king and queen, who were trapped inside a steel cage. Sir Forester was leading the charge, but even his sword strikes were tough to get past the dragon's sharp claws. Thunder and Lily arrived to see the fight going on. Lily became a little nervous, but it was quickly replaced by a feeling of determination as Thunder began to feel the same way.
Thunder (Buckaroo): So, what's thay ...err plan, princess? That dragon looks like it'll put up ayy mighty darn good faheet with anyone who gets in his way.
Lily (Laguna): Here is what I am thinking. We don't want to risk getting in the knight's way of battling with the dragon. So, we'll wait till the dragon's back is turned from us, and then, if you can, you'll scale the mountain up to the cage. We'll free my parents and then bring them down as quickly as we can. Hopefully, the dragon won't notice us before we can get them to safety. Think you're up to it?
Thunder (Buckaroo): Ay'm ready ta serve, my liege, ayn' help make sure that beast doesn't eat them faw breakfast. Let's do it. Ya, lead thay way, Sir Lily.
Narrator (Laguna): Waiting silently in the brushes of the forest, Lily and Thunder awaited for the perfect moment to sneak up the mountain. Once the dragon's back was turned, Lily whispered "Now" to Thunder as her steed silently galloped behind the fight scene and started to scale the mountain. It wasn't an easy task, and the sharp, narrow ridges did not make things any easier for Thunder, especially for her hooves. However, as long as Lily wasn't planning on giving in, neither was she, so she kept going. Finally, they made it to the ledge where the cage was as King Seafoam and Queen Aggie saw the brave knight and its steed approaching them.
King Seafoam (Trollex): Hark! Help has arrived and in the nick of time!
Queen Aggie (Aggie): Oh, yes! Please, save us before the dragon notices us and decides to have a barbeque.
Narrator (Laguna): While her parents had no idea who the knight in front of them truly was, it didn't falter Lily from using her sword to cut the lock off and bring her parents onto Thunder as her steed slowly started the tough climb down. Back on the ground, Lily motioned Thunder to hide in the brush with her parents as she went to help the knights in their prolonging battle. When the dragon least expected it, Lily used her sword and sliced the tip of its tail clean off. The dragon roared in pain and fired off a fireball at her, which was blocked by her shield before she delivered an X-slice to the chest. All the other knights watched in amazement as Sir Forester could not help but wonder who this mysterious knight was. The dragon, out of energy, caved into the pain of its wounds and collapsed onto the ground, no longer able to stand up. All the knights cheered in success as they crowded around Lily, still unaware of who she truly was, as they complimented her for her technique. Then, one of the knights asked where the king and queen were as Lily whistled loudly, signaling Thunder to come out with the king and queen on her back. Sir Firester gasped as he was surprised to see Thunder here and not with Princess Lily.
Sir Forester (Branch): Thunder, what are you doing here?
Thunder (Buckaroo): Whel, ay'm here a-servin' my job, ov course. Acting as thay proud ayn' loyal steed av y'all's knight.
Narrator (Laguna): With those words, Lily opened up the protective flap on her helmet and revealed herself, much to the shock of the knights and her parents themselves. Probably the most surprised of all was Sir Forester, who was not expecting his trainee to execute those sword skills so flawlessly and to risk her own life by accompanying them on the mission.
Sir Forester (Branch): Miss Lily, you were the one who did that?
Lily (Laguna): Yes, sir. I couldn't bear to think of you guys falling into a pit of disaster if something were to go wrong while rescuing my parents, so I geared up and rode Thunder, and we rescued my parents. While I apologize for going against your wishes, my loyalty to protecting my family and friends is stronger than any rule in the kingdom. And isn't the knight's code of honor is to remain loyal to those you love dearly?
Sir Forester (Branch): It is, and you have followed it primitively. Well done, Lily. You showed the true spirit of being a knight, and you saved all of us. I think...you are ready.
Narrator (Laguna): All of the knights hopped onto their steeds and began the ride back to the castle, where they were all praised by the villagers and servants for the safe return of the king and queen. As such, King Seafoam and Queen Aggie decided to throw a festival in the knight's honor. As the opening act, Sir Forester decided to inaugurate Lily as a new permanent member of the knight's guild. In her knight's armor, Princess Lily knelt in front of Sir Forester as he grabbed a sword and lightly tapped her right, then left shoulder, as he made the official decree while her family and steed Thunder watched proudly behind him.
Sir Forester (Branch): Princess Lily, for showing bravery, determination, and loyalty when faced with a sudden force of conflict, and for daring to risk your own life to rescue those who meant most to you, I hereby dub thee...Lily the Loyal. Huzzah!
Narrator (Laguna): The crowd rejoiced for their new royal knight as McJames, Sparkle, and Harmony ran and hugged their sister, happy that she finally found her place and became what she wanted to be. Her parents joined the group hug as Lily felt so proud to be her kingdom's protector and spread kindness through her heroism. Since then, she's gone on and beaten multiple foes with the other knights and helped make the kingdom's caring legacy soar. And they lived happily ever after—the end.
Melody happily exclaimed, "Now that was an awesome medieval story! It's so cool Lily finally became a knight"! Aggie added, "Indeed, and the fact that despite what others might have thought, she defied the odds and achieved what she desired is such an inspiration to many trolls, even us nowadays." McJagger added, "Plus, it seemed to hit me in all the right feels in all the right places. Great story, Laguna, baby. I would give it four thumbs up if I had thumbs. In any case, I give it 12 fingers up." Laguna blushed and found herself giggling as she replied, "Thanks, McJagger. And I'm delighted you all found this story to be intriguing." The egg in the stroller shook a little bit as Melody replied happily, "It seems like we aren't the only ones who agree. Little Eggy liked it too." Aggie then said, "So, now that we have our stories and McJagger drew the pictures, let's put them together and make a book"! Using some string, a hole puncher, and markers, the group placed all their stories and corresponding pictures together to create one huge scrapbook for future trolls to read the next time they came here. Once they were done, McJagger held it up as everyone oohed and aahed at how awesome it looked. The title read Troll Tales Of Medieval Fairytales, and it was light blue and had little pictures of horses and trolls in knight costumes and wooden swords. Aggie smiled as she commented, "It looks so beautiful," as Laguna and Melody added in unison, "You said it." McJagger looked at it while saying, "And the best part about it is that we did it together, which made it a lot more fun. I can't wait to see what the other trolls will think of this book once we place it on the shelves."
Then, everyone looked up and noticed that all of the shelves were now full of books again as Melody asked, "Woah! What happened"?! Did the shelves get restocked while we were working"? Laguna contemplated while saying, "It seems that while we were busy sharing our stories for the book, the library got reshelved, and we were too busy having fun to notice it." Aggie then mentioned, "Laguna does raise a good point though. I had a lot of fun making this book," as McJagger added, "Me too. I haven't had this much fun making something in a while, and having you guys do it with me made the experience all the better." Melody placed her hands behind her head while saying, "Yeah. This was actually a lot of fun. I never knew I would enjoy making a book so much with you guys. It was a nice change to make a book rather than read books today. Plus, Little Eggy got some fun stories to read once it hatches soon." Laguna even commented, "Note: this was a pleasant experience full of bonding and enjoyment. I found it to be a nice change than from reading research books since I usually don't spend a lot of time reading other books for fun." Aggie then took the book and placed it on an empty pedestal, saying, "There. Now, every troll will get to see it and read it. Maybe they'll get to have as much fun reading it as we did making it." The group got up and were laughing in enjoyment as they exited the library. Suddenly, a random troll running and screaming in panic got their attention as they all looked up and saw what looked like a gigantic wormhole about to suck in some random things and trolls that were stuck in bubbles. Aggie shouted in shock, "Holy troll! Is that a wormhole"?!
