Trollstopia

You know the drill, I do not own Trolls of Trollstopia in any way or form since they both belong to Dreamworks Animations, respectively. Melody Song and Mal Shredder are my O.C.s and belong to me, while Aggie belongs to I.M. Rally. Now, let's get this underway!

"I have to go to Pop Village"?! Aggie had to use her red hand to stifle her laughter as she said, "Why do you seem shocked? This is going to be a lot of fun"! You are probably wondering why Val Thundershock is...well..shocked about going to Pop Village and why Aggie is here with Barb. Well, let's go back a few hours earlier to understand what happened.

A few hours earlier...

In Troll Village, Poppy was reading a scrapbook to her friends, explaining how they found out about how there were other trolls in the world and how each tribe represented a different kind of music. While the concept sounded very confusing, Poppy sighed while closing the book, saying, "What I'm trying to say is that it's been weeks since we found out about the other tribes, you guys, and we're no better friends with them now than we were before." Everyone seemed to agree as Poppy then got up, saying, "I don't want to sound hysterical, you guys, but lately, it feels lie we're...acquaintances," as thunder roared in the distance while everyone, except Aggie, who was standing by DJ Suki, flinched in horror. Even Biggie grabbed Mr. Dinkles from his shoulder and told him, "Mr. Dinkles, I don't want you ever using that word"! Aggie shrugged her shoulder while asking, "What's wrong with being acquaintances? Isn't that close enough to having friends"? In an instant, she was tackled to the ground by Smidge, who shouted, "What wrong?! I'll tell you what's wrong! Being acquainted with a troll is almost as worse as not being friends with them. When you have an acquaintance, you have awkward greetings, awkward get-togethers, and worst of all...awkward hugs." That last part made chills go down everyone's spines, including Aggie, who fluttered her wings in fear while saying, "Yeeks. Now I understand why it sounds terrible," with Smidge shouting, "It is! It's the mockery of friendship"!

DJ Suki walked up to Poppy, saying, "Poppy, we all want to be better friends with the tribes, but they live so far away. What can we do"? Aggie then suggested something, asking, "what if you could convince the leaders to convince their tribes to come to live with you guys"? Poppy had a huge smile on her face as she hugged Aggie while saying, "And that's why you're the Master of All Music"! She then stepped back while saying, "We should try to convince the other tribes to come and live in Troll village with us." Everyone seemed to like this idea as Guy diamond swung an arm around Aggie, saying, "Great idea, A-A-Aggie"! Aggie blushed and shuffled her hoof in embarrassment, happy that they liked the idea. Poppy then continued, saying, 'Close your eyes and imagine it. Hundreds of trolls from each tribe living in harmony. Forming a new troll city that celebrates the diversity of our cultures. A beacon of love and friendship for everyone. All of us together! Different, but unified. Like...like..." Her friends ended up giving several examples of possible analogies to how ith what Poppy was trying to suggest. Poppy loved their ideas, saying, "Good suggestions, guys! We'll call this new city...Trollstopia," as a mysterious spotlight shined on her, making the moment much more dramatic. Aggie liked the name, saying, "That's a great idea, Poppy! It suits everyone, and it definitely sounds like a place where all trolls can live together in harmony," as the rest of the snack Pack harmonize with their Magical Musical friend. Guy Diamond added, "Speaking as a parent, count me in. It'll be great to expose Tiny Diamond to new cultures and music," as Tiny Diamond appeared from Guy's silver hair, saying, "Yeah, daddy! Count me in, too"! Smidge added, "This is a great idea, Poppy! A stroke of genius," with everyone else cheering and commenting on the idea as well. Poppy was surprised that everyone agreed to this, and there wasn't one source of disagreement. Poppy then froze, saying, "We're missing someone," as she knew just who was missing and where to look.

Soon, Poppy and the gang found themselves in front of Branch's bunker, with Branch saying sarcastically, "Oh yeah. Trollstopia. That's a great idea," making everyone else groan while Aggie facepalmed. Branch added, "sorry guys, but let's be realistic here. You're asking big groups of trolls to move away from their homes to live with a bunch of strangers. I don't know many trolls who would sign up for that." Poppy was silent, saying, "gee, I guess I didn't think of it that way," which made everyone disappointed, thinking that Trollstopia would not come true. Then, Aggie got another idea, whispering it to Poppy's ear, making the Pop Queen smile brightly and hug Aggie again, saying, "You are on a roll, Aggie"! Seeing Poppy happy again made Aggie smile, saying, "Just helping out a friend is all." Poppy then said, "We can send invitations out to the ambassadors of each tribe and ask them to come live with us. Then, after we've shown them how incredibly fun life here can be, we pitch them Trollstopia"! Everyone was in awe of the idea as Smidge says, "I say...that's a great idea," as Cooper laughed and added, "10-4,' with everyone cheering along with them. Poppy then said, "We'll need paper, pen, scrapbook supplies, and glitter to make the invitations." Aggie pulled out five envelopes from behind her back, asking, "You mean something like these"? Poppy looked at them while smiling, saying, "It's like you've been reading my mind lately, Aggie! Thank you." Aggie gave Poppy three other envelopes while holding one, saying, "No problem. I'll deliver this one to the rock Trolls in person. I'm going there anyway to see Barb, so this will provide a great opportunity." Poppy smiled, saying, "Great, and tell Barb I say hi while you're there." Aggie then flew up into the sky and began the flight to Volcano Valley. While she was on her way there, the other trolls in Troll Village began to prep the who village for their hopefully upcoming visitors.

Meanwhile, Aggie had arrived at Volcano Valley as she was greeted by Carol, who led her to Barb, who was tuning up her strings. She then saw Aggie come towards her as she got up ad swung her arm around her, saying, "Hey, Aggie! Long time no see, girl! What's happening"? Aggie laughed before saying, "Well, I'm here on duty. Poppy developed a crazy idea, with my help, to create a new city where all trolls of different cultures and diversity can live together in harmony, and she decided that before we can let everyone come in, to have the tribe leaders each send an ambassador to come to check it out for themselves." She handed Barb the invitation as the rock queen looked at it, with Debbie flying around and looking at the letter too. The Rock queen then said, "Trollstopia, huh? This is probably one of her craziest ideas yet. But...I actually like it. It'll give some of my rock trolls a chance to see other forms of music. And...I think I know just who to send." Aggie smiled, saying, "Great! Who is your ambassador anyway"? Barb chuckled and playfully ruffled Aggie's hair while saying, "If you were living here, I'd make you my ambassador in a heartbeat, no pun intended. However, I know the perfect troll to send. My gal, Val Thundershock, who's coming to visit. She's looking after her little cousin, Melody Song." Aggie awed, saying, "She has a little cousin? Do you think I can meet them"? Hearing some guitars playing in the distance, Barb smiled, saying, "We don't need to look too far to find them. "Come with me," as the duo started to head towards the main stage.

Present Day...

Val Thundershock looked at Barb in disbelief, asking, "Are you out of your mind"?! Melody was laughing so hard as she said, "This is so precious! Does anyone have a camera, because I need to capture this moment! You should see your face, Val"! Val then crossed her arms, saying, "I'd rather have my lower body covered in magma than go to Pop Village"! Barb then responded with, "Look, this may seem like a crazy plan, and believe me, it is, but look at this as a good thing. You'll get to learn about other forms of music, and who knows? You might actually learn a thing or two about pop music while you're there. And if you don't do it for me, do it because I'll have Aggie monitor your behavior and report to me every night. One misplaced step from you will earn some not-so-hot consequences from me...personally." nothing scared Val more than seeing Barb reprimand her for how she acted. Seeing that there was no way out of this, Val sighed before saying, "Fine, I'll go," as she huffed in frustration, especially when Melody said while swinging her guitar onto her back, "Oh, we're going to have some fun! You could use a little pop music, Val, to cleanse that attitude of yours." Val retorted, "Too bad because you're not coming, Melody! This is ambassador business, and I can't have you there messing my image up"! Melody was flabbergasted as she shouted back, "That's not fair! Plus, you're supposed to be watching me! I may be two years younger than you, but I'm not that young! I can come with you"! Val had her gear set and hopped onto a bug bike, saying, "Sorry, not sorry. Barb, watch over her while I do your "representation" thing! Won't change a thing about m though, so tough on ya, Melly," as she zipped away at almost the speed of light.

Melody clenched her fist and growled in frustration, shouting, "I swear! Sometimes, I question why I'm even cousins with her in the first place! She cares more about her image as a rock troll than me"! She sat on a rock, fuming, as Aggie sat next to her, saying, "you know, just because she said no doesn't mean you have to listen to her. Aren't your part rock troll? So, shouldn't you want to rebel"? Aggie made a good point as Melody had a sneaky smile, saying, "Aggie, you're right! I'm pop and rock, and that means I have both natures, including the desire to rebel when something sounds unfair"! Barb smiled and chuckled, saying, "And who am I to stop you, kiddo"? Melody jumped up, saying, "I'll keep Val in check for you, Barb! Come on, Aggie," as she and Aggie ran out of Volcano Valley, with Barb watching and laughing, saying to herself, "If Popsqueak though I was crazy, she's going to go insane over Val and Melody."

Back at Troll Village, a huge crowd was by a mushroom as Poppy was standing on top of it, with her friends behind her. Poppy was under a spotlight, saying, 'This is it, trolls! If we show them a good time, there's no way they'll say no to Trollstopia"! Everyone got into a welcome position, awaiting their first guest. Meanwhile, DJ Suki looked around, whispering to Guy Diamond, "Where's Aggie? She's missing out on the celebration." Guy whispered back, "I don't know, but hopefully, she comes back soon. She'll be excited to make new friends." Soon, country music began to play as Poppy said, "Sounds like country-western ambassador is here." With a might gallop, an orange country troll with light cyan hair in a ponytail and held by two purple scrunchies while wearing a white shirt with a pink ruffle on top and blue horseshoe-themed jeans, with her hoofs painted blue to match. She leaped onto the stage with a bright smile. She shouted, "Yeehaw! Howdy, y'all! I'm Holly Darlin' of the Country-Western tribe! Queen Poppy, it is such a pleasure! I've never met a real-life queen before on account of our town being less of a monarchy and more of a hierarchy but to each his own." She then turned to Branch, who still disapproved of this idea, and said, "Hey, you're cute,' making the loner troll speechless and blush. Holly then rushed back to Poppy with a camera, saying, "Selfie," and taking a quick selfie with the camera on flash, temporarily blinding Poppy. Holly smiled and shook Poppy's hand, saying, 'That's a get one!. I'll save you a copy! Let's part y'all! Whoo-hoo," before going to the side, with Branch still speechless.

Then, Poppy recovered and introduced the next ambassador, with the ground shaking all of a sudden. Then, a crack appeared, and water shot out, revealing a purple techno troll with purple hair strands and green and pink sleeves, with the signature pixilated heart beating, appeared and had a light show going on. As he landed on the mushroom, he introduced himself as Synth and said, "Let me introduce myself, the rave way,' and began to bop his head to the beat. Poppy loved it so much. She started to join in. after a bit, she stopped as Synth went to join up with Holly. Suddenly, Classical music began to play, signifying that the classical trolls have arrived. Their delegate was Dante Crescendo, a yellow troll with glittery wings, who had pink hair up in an elegant style and was wearing a black orchestra suit. His greeting was far more sophisticated and well-mannered, though he ended up surprising everyone by conducting an anthem, with music note-like creatures singing opera. As this went on, Aggie and Melody joined up with the Snack Pack, with Aggie saying, "sorry I'm late, but I'm here now. Guys, meet my new friend, Melody Song." Melody waved at the other trolls as Smidge was the first to greet her, saying, "Hi, I'm Smidge. Welcome to Troll Village." Biggie went next, saying, "I'm Biggie, and this is Mr. Dinkles," as his pet worm chirped. DJ Suki, Guy Diamond, Tiny Diamond, and Cooper introduced themselves afterward, leaving Satin and Chenille left, but they broke into another argument as they introduced themselves. Melody chuckled before saying, "wow, you're weren't kidding, Aggie. I can relate to them," which made the towns stop and look at the troll in confusion. Satin asked, "What do you mean," with Chenille adding, "Do you have a sister too"? Melody shook her head before saying, "No, but I have an older cousin, and I don't get along with her at all, so I understand well what you two go through, but at least you two still love each other no matter what." Melody frowned slightly after saying that as Aggie placed a comforting hand on her shoulder, saying, "Don't worry. Maybe this trip will help you and your cousin clear up any resentment and become close."

Then, the next ambassador arrived from the spaceship, as representing the Funk tribe was a funk troll called Low-Note Jones. An orange funk troll with a light orange striped neck, purple and red hair up in a loose bun, wearing yellow diamond-shaped shades with magenta lens, and golden, glittery boa. He smiled, saying, 'You got that right, baby,' as he lifted his glasses and winked, making everyone so impressed. Melody smiled, saying, "He's got sweet shades, just like I do," as she placed her black sunglasses on and lowered them, mimicking Low-Note Jones, while saying, "He's a cool troll, baby." Smidge was so in awe by Low-Note Jones, she commented, "How do you make everything sound so cool"? Low-Note Jones explained he his vocal cords allowed him to speak like that, and while it sounded bizarre, it sounded cool too, thanks to his voice. Then, Dj Suki noticed that Melody lifted her sunglasses again and was looking for someone, in particular, leaving Biggie to ask, "Is something wrong, Melody"? Melody looked at biggie, saying, "I'm just trying to find my cousin. I hope she isn't planning to do some crazy big entrance...again." Guy diamond, curious, asked, "Why wouldn't you want your cousin to do a grand entrance"? Before she could answer, Poppy introduced the last ambassador, saying, "That just leaves the ambassador from the home of our good friend, her name is Queen Barb, the Hard Rock Tribe! And her name is," but got interrupted when loud rock music started to play. In an instant, Val Thundershock appeared from a lightning bolt, playing her guitar, screaming her name, and smashing her guitar into a million pieces, much to the shock of Poppy and the Snack Pack. The only ones not surprised were Aggie, who was more confused rather than shocked, and Melody, who facepalmed and groaned, saying, "Why does she do this every time we go somewhere"? Smidge, hearing this, asked, "Wait a minute! Val Thundershock is your cousin"? Melody nodded, saying, "Unfortunately, yes."

Poppy tried to welcome Val by saying, "We're glad you came," but Val chuckled, saying, 'Wait! Wait! You're "glad" I came? Why wouldn't I'd come"? Rocker trolls wouldn't follow through on their commitments"? Melody groaned in frustration as she shouted, "Val! Please do not start this now"! Val, a little startled, looked behind Poppy and saw Melody coming towards her, leaving the rock troll shocked and Poppy to turn and see Melody, asking, "Are you friends with Val"? Melody shook her head, saying, "No, Queen Poppy. I'm her younger cousin. I'm Melody Song, and it's great to meet you." Before the two could shake hands, Val stood in between them, glaring at Melody, while saying, "Hold on a minute! I gave you orders to stay at volcano Valley with Barb"! Melody crossed her arms while saying, "Well, you missed three things. Number 1, you always want me to embrace my rock troll nature, and I did by rebelling against your wishes. Number 2, you're technically supposed to be watching me while my mom's on that troll retreat. And three, someone's got to keep your attitude in check, and I'm not going to let Aggie risk her kind and caring nature to try and get you into shape. So, unless you want to get pounded by Barb or scolded by my mom, I'm staying with you, and that's that." Val sighed and pinched her face in frustration before saying, "Fine, you can stay, but don't do anything that messes this thing up! Understand"? Melody nodded as the two turned away from each other and crossed their arms while Poppy tried to make the situation less tense while saying, "Ok! Well, we welcome all of you here to Troll Village! We hope your stay here is pleasant and enjoyable." Val smiled and walked towards the group while saying, "I rock so hard."

Meanwhile, Melody sighed as Aggie came to her, asking, "Why don't I show you my place? you can make yourself comfortable there until Poppy has all the houses set up." Melody nodded as she and Aggie left, heading to the village. With Poppy, she regained composure and continued saying, "Now, we give them...the cupcake," meaning that it was time to help the ambassadors adjust to life in Troll Village. At Aggie's house, Melody was sitting on her bed while Aggie was setting up a desk and a chair so Melody could have a spot of her own. Melody looked around while saying, "Wow, you got a nice place, Aggie. guess being the Master of All music really has its perks." Aggie shrugged before saying, "The place is nice and all, but the best part about being the Master of Music is getting to learn and experience so many different types of music, and there's still some that are yet to be discovered." Melody then said with a slight frown, "It must be easy for you to get along with everyone. Meanwhile, I can't even get along with my own cousin. How am I supposed to make new friends here when I can't even have a conversation with Val without us having some disagreement"? Aggie then sat next to melody and asked, "If I may ask, why do you and Val fight a lot? You don't have to answer if you don't want to." Melody looked at Aggie before saying, "Well...it's complicated. You see, as you know, I'm part rock troll and love rock music, but I'm also part pop troll, and I like pop music too. See, when my mom married my dad, he was a pop troll, so I got the best of both worlds and loved it. However, Val Thundershock is the pure definition of a rock troll, and she loves to show it off to everyone, especially me. She keeps trying to get me to forget about pop music and embrace the rock nature fully, but she doesn't get why I love pop music so much. It's not because of my dad, but it's something personal. When I was first introduced to pop music, it made me feel happy and enjoy life for ponce. I had a positive outlook on things that before I wouldn't have if I never listened to it to begin with. Plus, pop music does play a significant role in helping me remember my dad."

Aggie then placed a comforting hand on her shoulder, asking, "What was your dad like"? Melody smiled, saying, "Ballad Bill was a great troll. He loved to spend time with my mom and me, and he always helped to smile on our faces when we were down. My guitar was actually a gift from him, and I've held onto it ever since. However, one night, when I was young, he was at a concert when...an accident occurred. He got hurt badly and fought for his life for three days...but never recovered. Since then, I held pop music in a special place in my heart because I get to feel the exact happiness and positivity my dad felt. I just wish Val understood and could relate, but it's hard to talk to her when she's busy trying to be a show-off." Aggie felt bad for Melody, saying, "I know how you feel, and I respect your choice. You shouldn't have to pick one form of music. you're free to listen to whatever you want and play whatever music makes you feel happy. Believe me, I felt the same way, not in the same circumstances, but I was in a place similar to yours once. I didn't know what kind of music I wanted to do, and tradition said that I needed to pick just one form of music to play for the rest of my life. However, thanks to my friends, and one special friend, in particular, they helped me understand that I didn't need to choose yet and that I was free to play whatever music I wanted. That's why they dubbed me the Master of All Music so that I could experience each type without concern." Hearing that, Melody smiled as she then said, "wow, so, I don't have to choose"/ Aggie shook her head, saying, "No, you can play whatever you feel like. Now, I want to ask you this. Despite all the animosity and fighting you and Val have done, do you still love her"?

Melody nodded, saying, "Well, yeah, she's my cousin, and even though we always seem to be at each other's throats, I still care about her, though sometimes, it's hard to know if she cares about me." Aggie responded by saying, "I'm sure she does. I'm positive that deep, deep, deep down, Val Thundershock cares about you too, Melody. you just need to let her know that you care about her and that no matter what, you'll always love her since she's family." Melody began to feel better as she smiled, saying, "Yeah, you're right, Aggie. Thank you," as the two trolls hugged one another for a minute. Then, Aggie got up while saying, "We should head to the center of town. Poppy's planed some ways to introduce you guys to life here in Troll village." Melody jumped down, saying, "Now, I'm excited. Hopefully, it doesn't involve anything too dangerous," as the two trolls began to walk outside.

In the center of town, everyone was sitting at picnic tables with plates in front of them, meaning they were about to eat something. Poppy was wearing a waitress suit as she said, "To begin, we serve a 39-course ice cream banquet." For Dante, he was served classic vanilla, surprisingly, his favorite. Holly was served a peculiar dish, ice cream jerky, which earned a few weird looks from the other trolls. Meanwhile, Val was given dark, dark, dark chocolate, like literally, it resembled a skull, but was chocolate. She didn't seem to please as she moved on to Melody, who was given a mix of birthday cake and chili pepper ice cream. Melody was pleased as Aggie looked on at the bizarre combination, saying, "Didn't think a combination like that was possible." Melody giggled before saying, "It may seem weird, but it's actually pretty good. The spiciness of the chili peppers give it an early kick, but is then soothingly neutralized by the sweetness of birthday cake. Try some," as she offered her serving cup. Aggie took a small taste before widening her eyes in surprise, which lasted for a couple of seconds. Seeing the dazed expression, Melody asked, "Well, what do you think"? Aggie smiled while saying, "It's good... excellent...and just like how you described it." Melody smiled before looking onto Val, who was eating her ice cream but was poking it more than scooping it. Suddenly, Low-Note Jones noticed that something was falling from the sky as Synth asked, 'What is this? Is it glitter? It's glitter," he exclaimed happily, with everyone else looking on happily. Melody grabbed a particle, looking at it, before tossing it up, just to watch it fall back down so elegantly again.

For the rest of the day, Poppy did her best to show all the other trolls the great things that Troll village had to offer, and for the most part, almost all the leaders were having the time of their lives. The leaders even got a chance to show off their music style, and everyone was having a ball, except for Val, who seemed very disinterested in what was going on. At the moment, the leaders were enjoying some fun playing in the glitter, having glitterball fights, and making glitter sculptures. Poppy, watching from the top of a nearby hill, was thrilled that everyone was having so much fun. Then, she noticed that Agie was having a glitterball fight with Melody, and both trolls were having fun. Biggie came up to Poppy, saying, "You've done a marvelous job, Poppy, with this ambassador project. Everyone here is enjoying themselves." Poppy nodded in agreement to Biggie's statement before noticing from the distance that Val wasn't partaking in the fun and seemed to be watching Melody have fun with Aggie. For a second, Poppy could've sworn she saw Val feel a bit upset before it was swiftly replaced with her tough rock troll persona again. Poppy knew this too well: Val seemed to be feeling jealous that Melody was having more fun with Aggie rather than her, and even if she was to deny it, the truth was inevitable. However, before she could talk to Val, Smidge mentioned how this could be a great chance to talk to them about Trollstopia. So, Poppy slid down and was about to pitch her idea to the leaders, who all complimented about having a great time. Then, Val literally dropped the bomb by saying, "Meh,' which almost shattered Poppy's heart.

Melody saw this going on as she approached her older cousin, saying, "Come on, Val, you got to admit you must've had some fun here. I know dark, dark, dark chocolate is your absolute favorite, and despite how bright it was, the sky glitter was pretty nice. Didn't you enjoy anything Poppy did for everyone"? Val shrugged her shoulders and replied, "I guess, but at my tribe, our idea of fun is reckless and breaking rules. Nothing about this place...rocks. Well, I'm bored. I'm going to crash. There'll be no encore,' as Val left, with fireworks being let off behind her that said "No Encore" surprisingly. Melody, seeing this, told Aggie, "You mind waiting for me? I'm going to go talk to her," as Melody went to speak with Val. Wanting to see if they could help, Smidge and DJ Suki followed her and watched from behind the entrance as Melody kept shouting, "Val! Wait up! We need to talk now"! Val reluctantly turned around and said, "What do you need, Melly"? Melody crossed her arms and had a disapproving look as she said, 'What you said to Queen Poppy was harsh. She's worked so hard to set everything up for everyone, and you're the only one who's not enjoying yourself. Can't you just admit to yourself that surprisingly, this has been fun"? Val scoffed as she replied, "Liste, baby cousin, I know when something's cool or not, And so far, Poppy's tried her best, but nothing met my expectations. You may enjoy it since you're into pop, but unlike you, I know what I like, so I speak my mind and call it as I see it. Catch you later," as she started to leave again.

Something inside Melody seemed to snap, as this confrontation now caught the rest of the snack Pack's attention, Aggie's, Poppy's, and the other tribe leaders' attention too. In sheer anger, Melody stomped her foot on the ground and shouted at the top of her lungs, "That's it," which made Val turned around and looked at Melody in confusion. Melody angrily shouted, "Ever since you came here, you've been nothing but extra rude, reclusive, and arrogant! You've been nothing but an extra-big show-off, and I can't take it anymore! I've had put up with your antics and your attitude for years, but I'm not going to stand by this anymore. You want to go back home so much?! Then, fine! You can go back home without me because I'm staying here! And you know what else?! I'm going to ask Aggie to be my cousin, or even better, my sister! Because unlike you, who only cares about your self-image and your reputation, Aggie has cared about me and my well-being. She's been a real friend, something you've never been and never will be"! Melody then ran off with tears streaming down her face, leaving a stunned Val Thundershock to watch, as everyone stood with their mouths wide open in shock, Smidge being the only one able to speak by saying, "Oh my guh"! Val looked at her hands, then back at the direction Melody ran in before saying quietly, "By all that is trolly, what have I done"? Val began to walk away slowly, but breaking character, allowed small tears of sorrow to fall with each step.

Everyone was surprised about what had just occurred as Low-Note Jones said, "That...was not groovy at all," with Holly adding, "I reckon those two need some time apart to set their thoughts straight. then things will be right as rain." Aggie felt really bad for Melody but also could not help but feel bad for Val. She decided on an idea as she said to Poppy, "I'm going to check on Val. Why don't you start informing the other leaders about Trollstopia"? Poppy nodded as she and her friends went to talk to the other leaders as Aggie flew after Val, hoping she could catch up to the rock troll before she got too far. Luckily, she was able to catch up and tried calling out to Val as the rock troll looked up and said sarcastically, "Well, if it isn't the "Master of Melody"! Aggie flinched, replying, "It's Master of Music, but aside from that, Val, you need to talk to Melody." Val scoffed, turning away while saying, "What's the point? She obviously hates me, so why should I bother"? Aggie flew and landed in front of her, saying, "Because, despite all the animosity, she still cares about you." Val crossed her arms while saying, 'Ha! If she really cared about me, she would always listen to me and do what I say." Aggie was starting to get frustrated as she says, "See? This is why she got mad at you? She doesn't hate you. She hates your attitude. Haven't you tried listening to her for once"? Val thought for a minute before saying, "Not really, but it's not my fault. The pop music's messed up her mind." Aggie facepalmed as she angrily replied, "Pop music did not mess up her mind! She loves rock music, and she's a rock troll just like you, but she's also a pop troll and likes pop music, especially because it allows her to feel the same happiness her father did"! Those last words made Val gasp, asking, "Melly said that"? Aggie nodded as Val then asked, "Did she say anything else about Bill"? Aggie replied with, "she said that when he introduced her to pop music, it allowed her to be truly happy for the first time in a while. Even after he died, pop music revitalized her love for music and made her feel wholesome again. It's essential not because of her origins, but because of how it makes her feel."

Val then sat on her knees as she says, "Gee...I didn't know she had a deep connection with pop music that way. I always thought it was something she picked up randomly." Aggie then answered, "Maybe if you stopped and listened to her, you'd understand her reasons, and maybe you'd understand her better." Val then looked down in shame, saying, "I really am an awful cousin. I've always tried to force her to fully embrace her true nature, not realizing that she's been doing it this whole time: Rock and pop music. And here I am, forcing her to decide on one almost against her will. No wonder she likes you so much, Aggie. You stop to listen to what she has to say and understand her motives and reasons without questions. Meanwhile, I'm just what she said: a big, arrogant show-off who cares more about my reputation than my own baby cousin. What can I do? I'll bet she doesn't want to talk to me for as long as I live." Aggie came towards Val, saying, "Why don't you try to talk to her, and this time, let her know that you're willing to listen"? Val nodded, saying, "anything to get my cousin back. I'll do anything to get her to understand that from now on, I'm going to work on my troll socialization skills and be a better cousin." Aggie smiled before becoming dazed, a vision going through her mind. The vision was of Melody, who was hanging on a branch that was on a cliff near Spider's Lodge for dear life, shouting, "Val! Help me,"! Once she came to it, Val, noticing, asked, "Are you alright"? Not knowing if she could trust Val or not, she decided to make a risky move, saying, "I just had a vision! Melody was hanging on a cliff near Spider's Lodge, calling your name out for help"! Val gasped as she said in concern, "Do you think it'll come true"? Aggie answered, "There's only one way to know! Let's go," as Aggie and Val began to run to Spider's Lodge.

Meanwhile, Melody was solemnly hiking up the path near Spider's Lodge, feeling really bad. She didn't mean to snap at Val like that, but she had to let her older cousin know how she felt. Though she wishes it was more nicely than just spouting harsh comments from the top of her lungs. Suddenly, a branch snapped behind her as she looked, holding her guitar out in defense, saying, "Val? Aggie? Smidge? Is anyone there"? Suddenly, a hungry spider came out, roaring as the rock/pop troll said, "Oh no," before running for her life. She kept running as the spider began to pursue her. Melody looked back in fear, seeing the spider started to come closer when suddenly, her foot tripped on a branch, causing her to trip and roll off the side of a cliff. She quickly grabbed onto a nearby branch, holding onto in for dear life in absolute fear and terror. The spider luckily went away, but its nothing for Aria, who was stuck. She shouted from the top of her lungs, "Help"! Aggie and Val heard this as Val commented, "Oh no! Hang in there, Melody! I'm coming," as she and Aggie hurried. They made it to the area where the cliff was as Val looked down and saw her cousin holding onto the branch as she shouted, "Melly! Are you ok"?! Melody looked up and shouted back, "Val! Help me," as Val responded with, "Don't worry! We're going to get you out of there! Just hang on," before whispering to Aggie, "Please tell me you have a plan"! Aggie was about to say something when the spider came back and came towards the two trolls. Aggie flew around the spider, luring it away from Val while shouting, "Val! You have to try and get Melody back up! I'll make sure this guy doesn't try anything sneaky"! Val understood and knew what to do.

She unleashed her hair as it tied securely to a nearby boulder. Knotted perfectly, she began to climb down carefully as she could, reaching Melody, who said in relief, "Val! Thank goodness you came! Look, I'm sorry for what I said and-," before getting interrupted by Val saying, "Save the apology for when we get you back up there! Grab my hand,"! Melody let go of the branch with one of her hands and grabbed Val's hand as her older cousin brought her onto her back as Melody held on tightly. Then, Val began to scale the cliff, climbing back onto the top with Melody safe and sound. Then, Val surprised Melody by hugging her, with a shocked Melody asking, "Val? Why did you save me? Even after everything we went through"? Val smiled, saying, "Well, you're my cousin, and despite what we've gone through, I love you and care about you. Always had, always will."Melody smiled brightly, feeling overjoyed to hear her cousin say that to her after many years of arguments and fights. Aggie soon landed by them, saying, "Thank goodness you're safe, Melody. Don't worry about that spider. Let's say he's now a little tied up at the moment," as the trio broke into laughter. Melody was about to say something before Val shushed her, saying, "Before you say anything, let me speak because I need to tell you something. Melody...I'm truly sorry for how I've acted towards you. I never fully understood why pop music mattered to you just as much as rock did, till Aggie told me about how you enjoyed getting to feel the same way Uncle bill did." Melody nodded, saying, "My dad was a major influence on me when I was a kid, so whenever I play pop music, I get to feel like he's still here, is happy, positive self."

Val chuckled, saying, "That sure sounded like him. Melly, I'm sorry I never stopped to listen to you, but know that no matter what, your voice matters. Plus, I'm also sorry I kept trying to make you decide on sticking with your true nature. You already have one, and the mixture of rock and pop suits you best, and I respect it. We're not perfect, I'm certainly not perfect, but I wouldn't ask for anyone else to be my cousin. Melly, I promise that from this moment on, no matter how hard it may be, I'm going to become a better troll. I promise that I'll start listening to you more, and I'm going to be more supportive. If you want to play pop music, then play your heart out, and if anyone questions it or disagrees with it, I'll use my guitar to send them flying. So, we cool,"? She offered a fistbump as Melody smiled, fist-bumping with Val while saying, "We cool." Val smiled as she added, "And if this makes you feel any better, I'm happy that you followed me. Don't tell the others I said this, only because I will tell them later, but...I've had fun on this trip. And...you were right. Pop music isn't as lame as I thought it would be." Melody smiled as the two got up and shared another hug, with Val saying after separating, "Ok, I'm planning to be nicer, but I'm not comfortable with hugs yet. Sorry." Melody nodded, saying, "It's alright. We can work on that, but for now, we can just fistbump."

Soon, the trio started to head back to meet up with Poppy and the other leaders, and they were in for a treat when they saw Melody and Val walking to them together. Poppy came up to them, saying, "Wow, you two! So, I take it you both made up"? They nodded in unison as Val said, "Yah, and with her help, I'm going to work on becoming a better, nicer rock troll. So, to start this journey, Poppy, I think that what you've done has been really great and...I've had fun. And I would love to do your little Trollstopia thing and have my people come live here. Since this place can really bring out the good in you, it could do the same with my tribe." Poppy was ecstatic as she said, "Yes! Thank you so much"! Over the course of several days, the ambassadors returned home to report on what they learned to their tribes, and by the fourth day, after preparations, everyone started to come to Troll Village in massive groups. Trolls of many different music tribes were now going to live together in one village in peace and harmony while learning from one another. Poppy smiled, knowing that this would be the start of a brand new chapter for everyone! A chapter filled with fun and new friends!
