(this is an alternate scene)

*Poppy, Branch and molly were running away from delta and her posse after hickory bailed them out of jail*

*poppy looked ahead and saw a spiky forest ahead*

Poppy: Oh no hickory!

Hickory: Don't worry queen poppy I got this

*they dodge the spiked trees while clampers ran through them*

*then hickory spotted an abandoned mine and they jumped over it while clampers fell into the mine*

*Then as delta and her posse were gaining on them, branch got an idea*

Branch: Hey molly we need to separate from hickory, we can get farther from delta's posse if we do

Molly: Okay Got it!

*branch hopped onto molly's back as she ran beside hickory*

Branch: Poppy! we need you to jump off hickory

Poppy: Jump?! are you insane!?

Branch: Don't worry I'll catch you

Poppy: But- but what if I fall?!

Branch: don't worry I'll pull you up

Hickory: He's right queen poppy, I'll keep delta's posse distracted, you three can run away and reunite the trolls

*Poppy looked over at hickory and then at branch*

*then she jumped off of hickory and was grabbed by branch*

Poppy: Thanks branch!

Branch: Don't mention it

*Branch said as he pulled her up onto molly's back*

*Molly ran in an opposite direction with branch and poppy on her back and half of delta's posse started to chase them*

Molly: What the heck? it's not working?!

*suddenly growly Pete used his mustache to grab one of poppy's legs*

Poppy: AH! Branch help!

Branch: Poppy!

*branch grabbed her wrists to keep her from getting pulled towards Half of delta's posse*

Suddenly clampers emerged out of the ground but accidentally bit Growly Pete's mustache off of poppy's leg which sent him flying*

*then poppy's grip began to slip*

Branch: Ah! Branch! I'm slipping!

Branch: Hang on poppy! Don't let go

*poppy gripped his wrists tighter*

*But as molly started to run faster poppy's grip started slipping faster*

Poppy (Straining): I can't hold on much longer!

Branch: Poppy! Hang on!!

*then poppy's grip slipped off of branch's wrist and she fell off in another direction*

Molly and Branch: Poppy!!!!!!!!

*Meanwhile*

*after a few seconds, poppy skidded to a stop*

*Poppy got up and she looked around for branch*

Poppy: Branch? Molly?

*she looked around panicked*

Poppy: Branch! Molly!

*poppy ran to find them but she stopped dead in her tracks when she realized something*

Poppy: wait a minute, I can still find them I have to

*Poppy ran to find branch and molly*

*A few hours later*

*Poppy trudged her feet along the ground in the forest and was panting heavily, her hair was a mess and was very VERY close to fainting*

Poppy: so- so tired...i- I got this

*she looked ahead and saw a pond ahead*

Poppy: *gasps* yes! I'm saved!!

*poppy begins drinking the water*

Poppy's reflection: oh Are you now? Because last time I checked, I was a mirage

Poppy's reflection (echoing): mirage

*then the pond disappeared and poppy's eyes widened as she spits out dirt*

*She sobbed and began to get dizzy*

Poppy (weakly): It's over, and the worst thing is...I never got to tell branch how much i love him

*Then she passed out*

*a few hours later*

*Poppy opened her eyes slightly but she couldn't figure out where she was*

*as she sat up she heard a ringing in her ear and slowly got up and rubbed her eyes*

*when her eyes opened she saw someone in the distance*

Poppy (sleepily): where am I?

*then the figure came towards her, it was branch*

Branch (Softly): Hey poppy, you okay?

*he asked her as she sat in front of her, stroking her shoulders*

Poppy (sleepily): my head hurts, but what happened?

*she asked as she placed her hand on her head*

Branch (softly): you fell off of molly while we were escaping from Lonesome Flatts

Poppy (sleepily): oh right, but where are we now?

Branch (softly) After we got separated molly and I built a raft to find you, and then when we saw you passed out on the ground, I got really worried about you poppy, I thought the rock trolls did something to you and I got scared thinking what could have happened to you if they found you

Poppy (Choking up): *sighs* I'm sorry branch, I'm so sorry I worried you, I just wanted to find you and molly, and I- I...*Breaks down sobbing*

Branch (Softly): *hugs her comfortingly and rubs her back* Hey shh shh shh it's okay, don't cry, you're okay...

*poppy sobbed and cried but branch was there to comfort her*

*a few hours later, she stopped crying and fell asleep in his arms*

*branch looked at her, her cheeks were soaked in tears but looked so peaceful*

*then branch lay her back down and tucked her in as he stroked her cheek with his thumb*

*as he got up to leave, poppy grabbed his wrist and looked at him*

Poppy: branch...can you please..stay with me?

*branch looked at her and smiled tenderly before laying down beside her and pulling her into his chest*

Branch: Goodnight queen poppy

Poppy (Sleepily): *smiles sleepily* G'night branch

*poppy went back to sleep with branch right beside her*
