*Neo yelps and he turns around and sees branch*

Neo: Oh branch it's just you *chuckles* you gotta be careful man, i'm pretty jumpy

Branch: Really? i didn't seem to notice

Neo: Look man if this is about poppy nearly fainting this is not on me and besides it's not my fault, blame the blizzard wolf that bit her, not me

Branch: *suddenly pulls Neo to him with a death-glare* Listen nitwit, i don't want you looking at her, flirting with her or go anywhere near her and if you think i'm out of my mind, i'm not, so back off

Neo:...Whoa looks like annalynn was right, you DO get hostile when you're jealous

*then branch picks up a stick and snaps it in half with a death-glare*

Neo (suddenly realizing something): Oh candytuft...

*one second later*

*Neo starts screaming while running away from branch*

Branch: yeah that's right you better run, you stupid, feathery girlfriend stealer!

Demetria: What's going on here?

Branch: *stops in his tracks* Uhh *throws away the stick* Nothing

Annalynn: Branch don't play dumb you were chasing Neo with a snapped in half stick!

Branch: Uhh...I don't know what you're talking about

Poppy: Branch...

Neo: Okay yeah, so long story short he thinks i'm trying to steal poppy from him, namely 'cause i keep flirting with poppy, but that's what i do, i flirt with girls but i don't steal them from their mans

Annalynn: Especially if it's the ones who get hostile when jealous

*annalynn and Neo high-five with their wings*

Poppy: Branch, I get you're jealous of neo but that is no reason for you to- *her bite mark glows brighter and she collapses*

Branch: Poppy! *rushes to her and elevates her head* Okay okay Neo find the herbs! HURRY!

Neo: *nods and rushes to find the herbs*

*Poppy coughs and a light blue liquid comes out of her mouth*

Branch: Poppy, don't- don't worry, you're gonna be fine, everything's gonna be okay

Demetria: Branch...can we talk alone? Annalynn sweetheart keep an eye on poppy and wait for neo to come back

Annalynn: Okay mom

*Branch and Demetria walk to a secluded part of the forest to talk alone*

Branch: Demetria i- i- i- i don't know what to do, poppy is dying and i'm panicking 'cause i failed to keep her from being bit and now she's dying because she said that she depended on me to protect her--

Demetria: BRANCH!

*Branch stops talking altogether*

Demetria: I understand the panic you're experiencing...because...my husband was bit by...a blizzard wolf

Branch: really?

Demetria: yes he experienced the same symptoms poppy has; glowing bite mark, dizziness, fainting, blue liquid coming out of his mouth and soon she will eventually face...death

Branch: WHAT?! but the-

Demetria: Branch blizzard wolf venom is extremely lethal, it can kill you and if you keep panicking it'll only get worse!

Demetria: but there is a cure, my sisters and i preform a ritual to get the venom out of their system but ever since we separated most of my people have died from blizzard wolves...annalynn's father included

Demetria: Annalynn couldn't stop panicking which resulted in her father's death...that's why poppy didn't want annalynn to know...any strong emotion will make blizzard wolf venom grow stronger

Branch:...*gasps* so...i...was making the venom in poppy stronger and i didn't know?

Demetria: i'm afraid so...

Branch: *lets out a horrifed squeak and sits on a rock*

Demetria: *puts her wing on branch's back* I know how hard it's going to be branch but you have to try not to panic and stay calm, just please try for her so the venom doesn't get stronger, can i trust you to do that?

Branch: *sighs* i'll try...

Demetria: Thank you...i know you can do it...

*demetria walks back to annalynn and poppy*

Branch: *sighs* i can do this...i will stay calm...anything for poppifur...

*Branch follows demetria*

Demetria: Annalynn? has neo come back?

Neo: Don't worry i'm back! and i got the herbs

Demetria: And not another moment too soon

Branch: So...what do we do to the herbs?

Annalynn: We make a broth from each of the different seasons, for example; Melted snow i put in a jar and the herbs *neo hands her the herbs and she puts it in the jar* go in the jar with the melted snow and now we need orange maple leaves and a drop of summer sunlight but we can still feed her the broth without the other two stuff

*annalynn puts the jar up to poppy's mouth and she takes a small drink before she sits up*

*poppy groans and she sits up weakly*

Branch: Poppy? you feeling okay now?

Poppy: Yeah...i'm fine *puts her hand on her head* Still kind of dizzy though

Branch: Don't worry we'll find avril and then she can join us okay?

Poppy: Okay

*branch helps her up and holds her close*

Branch: Now neo...Lead the way

*the others continue to follow neo to avril's castle*
