Then the next day Brick got ready for his pod race and Quintin talked to Riri about Brick's unique skills 

Riri: and he knows what happens before they happen

Quintin: those are skills of a Jedi it's why he has quick reflexes 

Riri: he deserves better than a slave's life 

Quintin: if he had been born in the republic we would have found him sooner since the force is unusually strong with him who was his father 

Riri: there was no father I carried him I gave birth I raised him I can't explain what happened 

Later at the pod race Quinton convinced the boss to free Brick if he won the pod race and later even though Brick had a rough start he ended up winning 

Brick: is my mom free too

Quinton: I tried freeing your mother but he wouldn't have it 

Brick: you're coming with us aren't you mom 🥺

Riri: son my place is here my future is here it is time for you to let go 

Brick: I don't want things to change 

Riri: but you can't stop the change any more than you can stop the suns from setting 

Then Brick goes to pack and says goodbye to Kopa 

Quintin: we'll take good care of him 

Later Brick went to give his mom a final goodbye but then Quintin had a encounter with a Sith Lord but they were able to leave 

Quintin: Brick meet Shard 

Brick: nice to meet you 

Shard: same here 

Then they went to see if Brick could start his Jedi training
