It was a dark few months after the dead of the trolls beloved Branch who had passed away by a speed accident and it was hard for the Pop Queen of the trolls who lost the love of her life, and she stopped caring about anything really. Music, her friends, family, being queen.

All Queen Poppy would do was sit in her room looking out the window and she had lost her colors much to the shock of her friends. Even her sister Viva couldn't get through to her.

Branch's brothers had been there to help her and sure she had a couple of one-night stands with Bruce and mostly John Dory it didn't help she still missed her Branch.

She was in her room looking out the window when it was raining when her dad came in. Peppy loved her and felt for her.

''Hey Poppy.'' He replied.

''Hey dad.'' She looked at him with a sad smile.

''Honey, I hate to see you like this. Is there anything I can do?'' He asked going over and pulling her in for a hug holding his baby girl.

''Only if you can reverse time.'' She replied.

''I can't baby if I could I would do anything to make you and Viva happy. But I'm thinking maybe a vacation away from here would help.'' Peppy replied.

''Maybe so dad, yeah, I think I should go.'' She hugged him.

''Me and Viva will take over while you're gone.'' He replied kissing her forehead and left.

Poppy sighed and packed some clothes and a sleeping bag and pillow as she put on Branch's old pack, and she snuck out and went away.

The pink troll walked for 4 days away from Pop Village and the other tribes, she would sleep under the stars dreaming of her and Branch. When she woke up, she felt sad, and she had cried so much her eyes were dry and no tears came, and she continued on. She didn't care where she went.

Finally on the 4th day of traveling half-way Poppy was stuck in a desert that was never-ending and she was exhausted, hungry, and thirsty.

She was soon crawling on her knees and feeling all the energy leaving her body as she lays there.

''Branch.'' She calls out.

She looked and swore she could see a blue troll in the distant and she took off as close as she could but collapsed.

Poppy didn't know what to do as she stayed there feeling sad and depressed, she wished she was gone so she could be with Branch. She laid in her sleeping back and started dreaming of her and Branch.

Poppy and Branch were laying on the ground one night looking at the stars as they cuddle and laced their fingers together.

''Woah those stars have just started to shine bright.'' Poppy giggles.

''They do but it's the beautiful troll that shines brighter then them.'' Branch looks at her lovingly.

Poppy woke up and felt it was cool where she was, she opened her eyes and saw she was in a bubble being lifted up and she saw a familiar city.

The pink troll was scooped up in a hug by a tall older funk troll lady.

''Essence?'' Asked Poppy.

''Hey Poppy.'' Essence said in her motherly tone.

''It's so good to see you. If I had know you were coming to visit I would have got you sooner.'' Essence smiles.

''I didn't plan on coming here. I just wanted to get away from home and I'm not going back.'' Poppy sighed.

Essence nodded with an understanding nod and pulls out of the hug.

''I'm so sorry what happened Poppy. I can't imagine losing someone that close.'' Essence replies.

Poppy shrugged. ''It hurts but what can I do?'' She asked.

''Well, what is something you are craving?'' Asked Essence.

''Something to eat and drink if anything.'' Poppy replied.

''Let's go check in the kitchen.'' Essence replied as they walked but Poppy felt her legs weak.

''Sure.'' Poppy smiles as Essence gets down and lets Poppy on her back as they went to the kitchen.

''Where is Qunicy?'' Asked Poppy.

''Him and the boys went camping this weekend.'' Essence smiled fondly.

''How lucky for them.'' Poppy replies as she was sat at the counter as Essence went through the fridge.

''Are you supposed to be here? Aren't there cooks and trolls?'' Asked Poppy.

''They are preparing lunch but I know my way around the kitchen.'' Essence replied.

''Really?'' Asked Poppy impressed.

''Yeah, I use to be a bartender and waiter before I met Quincy.'' She replied.

''I'll have to try your drinks.'' Poppy giggles.

''How about now?'' Asked the funk queen.

''I'd love one!'' Poppy smiles feeling better.

Essence got Poppy some bread and fruit as she started working on the drinks.

Poppy started eating and she loved the bread it was sweet and tasty.

''So, how are you doing Poppy?'' Asked the queen.

''I'm sad and lonely. I've never felt this way before, and it hurts.'' Poppy sighed.

''So, you decided to leave home and start a new life?'' Essence guessed.

''Pretty much I can't live in pop village anymore.'' She sighed.

Essence hugged. ''I understand. If you want you can live here, we always have room for you.'' The funk queen answered.

''I might just do that.'' Poppy smiled.

Essence brought over a couple drinks.

''Here we go an apple tornado.'' She replied.

''Thanks.'' Poppy took a drink, and she enjoyed the cool, sweet with a bit of a punch drink.

''That is really good.'' Poppy smiles.

''It goes down pretty easy. It was the drink I made for the girls when the guys were getting handsy and wanting more then a date and the girls didn't want it.'' Essence chuckled.

Shortly after Poppy was done drinking and eating, she was full. ''I do want to live here Essence.

''That's great, and I can turn you into a funk troll.'' She smiles.

Poppy slide on Essence's back as the funk queen took her to the bedroom which Poppy assumed was hers and Qunicy's.

Essence pulled out a bottle that was purple and gave it to Poppy.

''What is this?'' Asked Poppy.

''A drink that will turn you into a funk troll now it's going to hurt but it will only be for a couple minutes.'' Essence warned as she gave Poppy the drink as she downed the drink then she felt the pain as he felt herself grow and her body change as her bones shifted and she closes her eyes and cries out in pain.

Essence nuzzles Poppy to help ease her a bit.

Poppy had tears in her eyes and finally the pain went away, and she looked at herself in the mirror and was shocked.

''I'm a pink funk troll with blue steaks in my hair and I have pink and blue stripes!'' She was excited.

You look amazing, Poppy and I also added a bit of blue on you so you have the colors of Branch, I thought it would be a good memory for you to have because you don't want to forget about him.'' Essence hugged Poppy.

''But we need to find a new name for you. How does Pinky sound?'' Asked Essence

''Thanks Essence and I love the name. I don't know how to repay you.'' Pinky giggles looking at herself.

''Do you want to try out your body?'' Asked Essence with a smirk.

''Sure, but how?'' Asked Poppy.

Essence went over and kissed Poppy on the lips passionately as her front legs landed on Piper's chest.
