As the rain continued, Everybody was finishing drying off, and beginning to feel better.

"Huh," Poppy got up off of the couch she was sitting on,"Its really raining! Good thing we got here in time."

Suddenly, thunder struck, causing them to jump

"AAAAAAAAA 😱" Trollex yelled

"Trollex! Its just thunder!" Branch sighed

"Oh! I thought there was an earthquake. That's a relief!" Trollex sighed

"Do you think the rain will stop soon?"Esmerald asked Poppy,"I wanna continue spooky stories!"

Poppy looked out of the window and saw how much rain was coming down.

"uh.. I dont think so." Poppy answered

Everybody looked disappointed and sad, as Poppy turned around to face them.

"But, maybe we can tell stories in here! It can't possibly be that bad!" Poppy smiled

Ocean lifted his head up,"Ooo I think your right! That's not a bad idea after all!" 

"Andddddd...." Trollex grabbed a box out from under the bed he had been sitting on,"GLOWSTICKKS!!!" He tossed everybody another glowstick.

"Where did these come from??" Guy Diamond observed his glowstick, before activating it.

"this box!" Trollex gestured.

Guy Diamond facepalmed,"Obviously-"

"So,"Sunny began,"Who's going to tell their story first?" 

"What if Esmerald just finishes the story she was already telling? It was at the best part!" Ocean recommended

Everybody nodded at his thought. Poppy shrugged her shoulders,"I don't see why not!"

"Right! So where was I again..." Emserald tried to remember what part of the story she had been telling, but her mind kept drawing blank. Then, suddenly she remembered

"oh! Okay I remember!" As Esmerald prepared to finish telling the story, the rain began to pick up! It started blowing harder, and the rain was hitting the windows harder.

It sounded as if waves were crashed against the walls, making it hard to hear anybody.

"Uh! Guys?" Guy Diamond yelled over the rain,"I don't think its a good idea to-"

"What?!" Trollex yelled back to him

"I said I don't think its a good idea to tell stories!" Guy Diamond cried over the rain again. But everybody just looked at him blankly, like they couldn't hear him

He sighed to himself,"never mind."

"Don't worry guys! It seems to be calmi-" Poppy tried to ensure them, however she was cut off abruptly buy loud lightning causing them all to yelp

Then suddenly all the lights went out, leaving them in the dark. Only the light of the few glowsticks were visible; they were very faint.

Thankfully, the rain did calm down a bit, just enough to hear each other again.

"U-uh Ocean?" Esmerald tried to look for him, but it was too dark to see. Finaly, Ocean grabbed her outstretched arms to reassure her she was safe.

"Oh phew! Everybody ok??" Poppy tried to feel around her surroundings to make sure all her friends were okay. 

"What happened to the lights?!" Sunny shrieked. She grabbed a glow stick from Trollex and bent it, causing it to light up.

"Nobody turned them off right?" Branch asked. He went over to the light switch, and held a glow stick up to see.

"I don't think so! that's on the opposite side of the room!"  Guy Diamond pointed out.

Branch backed up from the light switch, and turned around to face everybody. He let out a discouraged sigh,"Well. I guess we are stuck in the dark."

Before anybody could let out complaints, a very loud sound coming from the hallway of the cabin, interrupted their own thoughts. It sounded as if something had fallen, such as metal.

"What was that???" Esmerald finally asked. She grabbed a glow stick from Ocean and slowly took steps closer to the hall.

"Esmerald! What are you doing? Come back over here!" Ocean said to her.

Esmerald, however, ignored him and continued to get closer to the hall. Once she was close enough, she held out the glow stick, and listened as carefully as possible. 

She heard another faint, clashing sound. Before she could react, Ocean grabbed her arm and dragged her back away from the hall.

"Hey! Let me go! I heard something!" Esmerald argued.

"I was worried! Who knows whats in that hall." Ocean hugged her.

"Nobody does!" Sunny was also looking out into the hall

Poppy stood up, and started to think. Branch looked at her, then face palmed.

"Not again.." He mumbled.

"What?" Trollex asked

"I got an idea! Why don't we go find out!" Poppy announced.

Esmerald and Sunny nodded their heads in agreement. However the rest of them didn't respond.

Poppy handed them all a glowstick,"C'monn! It'll be fun!"

"Yea! Fun when the ghost gets us!" Branch argued.

"Pfft! Suree." Poppy laughed it off

"I say we go! What if we figure out how to turn the lights back on?" Esmerald pointed out.

"Me too. I could not even imagine just sitting here in the dark all night! especially with that.. noise" Sunny agreed.

"Ok! We will go in pairs! Branch and me!" Poppy noted.

"Ocean and Esmerald!"

Esmerald walked back over to Ocean, who seemed nervous.

"Trollex and Sunny!" 

Trollex handed Sunny 4 more glow sticks, causing her to laugh.

"And Guy Diamond and Tiny Diamond!" Poppy pointed at them

"Wait where is Tiny Diamond?" Branch asked,"I know its dark, but I havent heard or seen him in awhile."

"he is just sleeping. He gets so tired in the rain!" Guy Diamond responded, gesturing at his hair, where Tiny Diamond was supposedly sleeping.

"Awwwwww" Everybody but Branch admired.

"Ok so that's it? We split up in pairs?" Ocean asked.

"What if we find something important?" Sunny added.

Branch reached into his hair and pulled out 4 walkie-talkies,"Well, I guess we can use these."

"You just... keep these kinds of things in your hair?" Trollex grabbed one for him and Sunny

"probably to play with when he is bored" Guy diamond mumbled

"Incase of an emergency!" Branch corrected,"Like right now!"

"And only use them when you need to. We don't want to waste the battery." Poppy made sure to mention.

"Okay! Sounds great! Lets go, Ocean!" Esmerald took the walkie-talkie, and placed it in her hair. She grabbed Oceans hand and walked into the dark hallway, away from everybody.

That was when everybody in their pairs followed along, all taking a different path.
