Right now, kate was in Karate class as she was sparring with someone who was under her title
"Alright the battle is over when the opponent is unable to battle" the instructor calls

Kate takes a deep breath before getting into a sparring stance as she eyes her opponent who was a girl with short back hair in an angeled bob and has amber gold eyes, she clenchs her fists more as she moves her foot

"Ike!" The instructor calls as the sparring begins

"Yah! Hi-yah!" The girl runs towards kate as she was going for a Elbow strike but kate blocks it by side-kicking the girl back then kate manages to put the girl in a sore armlock as she wrestles her to the ground

Suddenly that's when jim came bursting into the class as everyone stares at him
"Oh heh sorry, kate! You won't believe what happened!" Jim says, excitingly to kate

Kate looks up and saw Jim as she looked at him, astonished
"Jim? Wha--ugh what are you doing here?" Kate asks as she kept the armlock in place

"Something insane happened last night! I couldn't get to you through your phone but I just couldn't wait to tell you!" Jim exclaims

"Well, you just have to wait!" Kate growls as she actually judo flips the girl onto the mat, the girl whinces in pain as She lays there, kate wipes the sweat off her forehead

Jim looks like kind of terrified at kate
"But I've waited all morning!" He whines at her

Kate groans as she sighs
"Fine! Class ends in 10 minutes, tell me then" kate says to him

"Hai! Kate is victorious" the instructor announces as he points at kate, the girl gets up as her and kate both bow to each other

"Alright! I'll get tobes!" Then jim runs back outside and went on his bike towards the dentist cause that's where toby was

"He's your friend?" Miwa asks, one of Kate's sparring partner asks
Kate hums in respond
"His name's jim, he's..interesting" kate states as she slouches her bag over her shoulder

*time skip*

After jim got toby and Kate's class finishes, those three gather up in Jim's kitchen, it was really dark outside so Barbara was working late tonight
"Eight hours! I can't believe it takes eight hours!" Jim complains about how long Toby's appointment was

"Two molars, plus insertions and some cleanup" toby says as he counts on his fingers, kate roll her eyes
"Okay, guys, you are never going to believe this" jim freaks out
"Dude, calm down" kate tells him
"My mouth still feels a little sore" toby says as he starts to look in Jim's fridge

"Check this out" jim says as he brings out the amulet and starts concentrating on it while toby uses a pizza box as a ice bag for his mouth
"Do you have any aspirin?" Toby asks as kate slaps him on the shoulder
"Dude! Pay attention!" She exclaims
"Um ow! How are you so strong?!" Toby exclaims but then he sniffed the pizza box?

Jim exhales
"For the glory of merlin, Daylight is mine to--" jim gets cut off by the microwave dinging as toby takes out a slice of the pizza
"Go on" toby says as he eats the pizza

"It worked last night" jim states
"Are you punking us right now?" Toby asks
"I don't know so, jim never lies" kate states as she watched toby trying to close the microwave

Which was true, jim barely ever lies
"Okay wait wait wait wait wait" jim says to toby and kate
"Okay what what what what what?" Kate asks, copying jim

Jim takes a deep breath before closing his eyes and in a few seconds the amulet was glowing blue and started shaking
Kate watches very carefully
Then suddenly the amulet flys up as jim starts to float a little in the air then the amulet then went inside of Jim's chest in a glowing blue cloud
"Holy champignon!" Toby exclaimed as his pizza started floating up

Kate just gawked then Jim transformed into a Armor suit that had a sword attached to his back as he hit the floor
"Oh-ho-ho-ho How cool is that?" Jim asked, excited

"What?" Both kate and Toby were speechless then

"Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh!"

Both kate and Toby started circling Jim looking at the armor in pure amazement "Dude! This is awesome!!" Kate exclaimed
"So cool so cool so cool" man, were they pumped up

"Dude, you know what this means, right? You have a sacred responsibility here" Toby said as kate nodded

"That's what they said!" Jim told them

"Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh" Toby jumped up and down then he took a bite out of the pizza
"Yo yo yo yo yo" Kate repeated as she was having a freak out moment with a huge grin on her face

"You have to use these new powers. For the benefit of all mankind" Toby took another bite "You have to use this to--" then he was cut off
"Kick steve-o's butt!" kate exclaimed as she basically raised a fist up

Jim looked at both of then like 'really'
"Really? I show you a glowing sword and a suit of armor that can only be magic and that's how you two respond?" He said in a very 'really' tone

"Seriously! It's butt-kicking time" Toby said as he started imitating karate moves while going "hi! Oh! Hi-yah!"
Kate face-palmed and sighed "You're such a idiot" she told him as Toby finally stopped

"These pants are so elastic, Wait. Also, who's 'they'?" Toby asked Jim as he took yet another bit

"Well, that's the part that I've been freaking out over!" Jim exclaimed at him

"Well, tone down you're freak!" Kate told him

Then suddenly they heard a very loud pounding coming from the back door as the three of them looked at the door with confused expressions

Suddenly a stone being with six eyes, a big head with teeth poking out appeared through the window as it waved with two stone hands!!!
Toby and kate both gasped "what,what what the heck is that!? Don't open the door!" Toby freaked

Kate just let out a tiny scream as she jumped at the stone being's sudden presence but neitherless. She thought it looked cool

But then the Stone being just barged in as he basically knocked the door open with a huge grin
"Haha Master Jim!" It said

Toby screamed as he hid behind Kate while clinging onto her
"I'm calling 911" Toby said in fear before screaming again

Then suddenly a big green stone guy came as he had trouble fitting through the door as he had his head and fist in through it

"No, animal control!" Toby exclaimed before falling and rolling under the counter while screaming some more
"Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh, they talk"

"Okay, what the hell are you guys?!" Kate exclaimed before pointing at them "some kind of stone versions of Albert Einstein and the Hulk?"

But the stone fellas ignored her
"I knew it was but a matter of time before the amulet called to us" the blue guy said to Jim while the green one was still trying to get through the door

"'called to you?'" Jim asked cautiously

"Actually, no. We've been spying on you" blue guy told him

"Spy on you" the green one repeated

"Creeps!" Kate exclaimed at them

"Well, keeping a close watch actually" Blue guy corrected

Finally there was a loud rumble and huge thud as the green guy finally popped into the house but made a huge mess as the backdoor was messed up
"Door small" he said

'animal control"

"Monsters, at my best friend's house! I need you to send a squad!" Toby exclaimed as he was literally onto the phone with Animal control

"Is this a joke, kid?" The woman on the other line asked

Green dude peeked over the counter to look at Toby as Toby looked back but immediately turned away
"Make that the national guard!" Toby exclaimed until

*beep*

"Animal Control hung up on me" Toby said with a blank face

"You told your stout little friend and your weird looking friend about us?" Blue guy asked Jim as they watched Toby freak out

"Hey!" Kate barked at him, offended at being called 'weird' "watch your mouth or I'm gonna make a mistake" she snarled at him as the blue guy stepped back from her

Jim pushed Kate back with one arm
"Um, is that a problem?" Jim asked as he had his right arm in front of Kate

"Master Jim, we trolls have gone to great lengths to keep our existence secret from your kind, lest there be panic" Okay, the blue Troll explained

The Green guy looked over the counter again before picking toby up by his vest and dropping him onto the counter as he kept repeating "oh my gosh oh my gosh" while pointing a metal spoon at them

"Like that"

Kate rolled her eyes as she walked to the counter while Jim behind her
"It's all right, Tobes" Jim assured

"They're like nine feet tall" Toby freaked as he kept pointing the spoon at them

"These are my best friends, Toby D and Kate uhh whatever her last name is" Toby introduced them both as Kate leaned on the counter and did a small salute

"He has like 800 eyes, we're going to die" Toby continued to have a freak attack as he stood on the counter

"Hardly. Your friend is the Trollhunter. His noble obligation is protective" Four-armed dude explained

"Protecting?" Kate raised a eyebrow as she stood up straight

Finally Toby took a few breaths as he calmed down from his freak "you mean like a superhero? Oh, can I be his sidekick?" Toby asked as he sit on the counter instead

"With a cool superhero name like Deathblade or Snipersnake?" He added
"Yeah, sure just forget about me" Kate sacasticly said as she crossed her arms

"Just wait. Who would I be protecting?" Jim asked as the trolls turned to him

"Us" the green one said
"And mankind. From bad trolls" Blue one added "as well as Goblins, gruesomes and the occasional rogue gnome" Toby began tapping the four-armed one with the metal spoon

"Do you mind?" He asked Toby, annoyed at his actions as Toby just looked at Him and dropped the spoon

"The mantle of Trollhunter is a sacred responsibility, one which has never been passed to a human before. This is a momentous occasion" He said as he leant over and smiled to Jim who had a 'eye-brow raised' expression from this

Suddenly they all heard a car horn as a car started to pull up as the headlights reflected in the small window of the door

Jim quickly turned around in a rush "oh, it's my mother! Upstairs quick!" He said as they all started running towards upstairs
"Mother?" Green troll questioned as he broke a piece of the stairway but quickly fixed it

Luckily they all made it in time as they quickly piled up in the bathroom as Barbara walked in
A loud thud was heard as Barbara stopped on the spot

"Jim? It's me" She called as she looked up the stairway

While everyone was huddled up in the bathroom while Jim was at the door
"She's not supposed to be home until midnight" Jim said as he turned around

But then the green troll then sniffed Toby as Toby was nearly pulled up by the sudden air
"You smell like cat" he said, dreamy

"My Nana has a Siamese" Said Toby

"Tasty" greenie said as Kate looked at him weird but then Greenie sniffed Kate too "Dude! Watch it!!" Kate silently exclaimed at him as she was trying not to make any noise

"You smell....different" Greenie told her as Kate raised a eyebrow

"Yeah, I'm a girl" she scoffed at him "of course I smell different than boys" she crossed her arms

Then Barabra's voice was heard through the door
"I forgot my phone, are you okay in there?" She asked

Jim gestured at them to do something as they quickly jumped and looked around
"Um, fine, I mean my stomach's a little, uh..." Jim trailed off

Toby quickly grabbed a toilet scrubber as he started using it to make fart noises in the toilet by moving it up and down while the water splashes around

Jim gestured him to stop and keep it down but Toby continued to making fart noises
"Uh you know, I might have a food poisoning situation, must of been that Beef that Kate's brother made when...I was over there" Jim lied through the door

Kate crossed her arms and looked at him with a really expressionist 'really?' Face

"Honey, I'll get you some medicine, okay?" Barbara told him as she started walking back downstairs

Jim exhaled in relief
"Really? Blame Travis?" Kate asked him but was interrupted when the amulet in Jim's chestplate started glowing

Jim looked at the amulet
"Okay, what's this..going on?" Jim asked as Kate and Toby peered at it as well

"The amulet reacts to your emotional state." Blue troll (still don't know their names) explained as Toby was turning the light off to see the amulet glow in the dark
"You appear to be in some distress" Arrgh reached and turned the light back on

"You think?" Jim said

"I have a question, Einstein" Kate said as she uncrossed her arms and stood straight while looking at the troll

"Speak, Kat" The blue one said as Kate frowned

"It's Kate, idiot...If Jim's the very first human Trollhunter then who was the Trollhunter before?" She asked as Toby and Arrgh were messing with the lights

"The glorious mantle has been passed from troll to troll for hundreds of years" Blue explained

"So, the previous Trollhunter, what, retired?" Jim asked

"Was felled" Green troll said

"Felled?"

"Means killed"

"Turned to stone and smashed" Blue one added "Kanjigar the Courageous was his name, brutally slain by a ruthless troll named Bular"

Kate then felt a pang in her chest at Kanjigar's name...it almost sounds familiar to her like she heard it before but that's impossible because Kate and her siblings basically know no one as they were 'the freaks' of Arcadia

She was cut out of her thoughts when Toby spoke
"Don't worry, dude, this Bular guy probably just got lucky" he assured jim

"The evidence does not suggest that. Bular is formidable opponent" Blue troll said

"Then the other guy, he was just off his game or something, right?" Jim asked

"Unless he was the best ever and Bular painfully slained him with a super sharp sword" Kate teased quickly as she had a innocent look on her face

The blue troll pointed at Kate "Kela is right, Kanjigar was perhaps the most alert and able of all the Trollhunters" he explained as Kate glared at him "it's kate, stone for brains!--"

"But are you sure he was the best? Kate could be lying" Jim asked as he gestured to Kate "even though she's quite honest sometimes but she's the master of lies"

"Oh, the very best. Many songs and sagas have been written about him"

Kate gave Jim a sideways 'I was right' smirk with her eyes half-lidded and her arms crossed when Toby quickly spoke again
"Uh, I think what my friend here is a little worried about is, if this--" he trailed off

"Bular" Green dude said as he had the toilet scrubber up his nose

"Yeah, I got it. If Bular could defeat Kanjigar--"

"Smash to pieces" then he put the toilet scrubber in his mouth...

Jim basically whimpered as he slid down the door and onto the floor as he started having a panic attack/freakout from all of this talk about Bular

"Then what's going to happen to Jim?" Toby asked

"A most appropriate, if troubling query, Tom-"

Toby frowned at Blue

"Tobias. Of course, we would never except Master Jim to engage in battle without the proper training. Not at all" he said as Toby helped jim up
"See? Nothing to worry about. How long does the training normally take?" Toby asked

"Oh..." The Blue troll counted on his four arms and 16 stone fingers "decades" he looked at them
"Aand...how long do I have?" Jim asked him

"a Day or two" blue clasped his hands together as the big green troll did a hand gesture for 'about that long'

Jim face-palmed before a loud knock was heard. It was Barbara again
"Jim, I have medicine and ginger ale, come on out" she called

"I'm fine, really" Jim told her

"I'm a doctor, I'm going to treat my own son" Barbara told him as the others quickly went silent

"I just need a little privacy" Jim said
"You're worrying me"

There was a vibrant blue glow creeping through the gap of the door as Barbara reached towards the handle
"I'm coming in" she said but before she could even grab the handle, the door opened revealing Jim in his normal clothes and the toilet flushing
"Ooh, see? All good" he chuckled nervously before walking out

Barbara covered her nose as she looked through the bathroom but no one else was there as the remaining of the toilet flush ended
"Huh. Okay" she said before turning around and walking away

Well, actually, Toby, Kate and the trolls were actually hiding in the bathtub with the shower curtain pulled over them as the green troll kept sniffing toby
"Stop sniffing me, giant troll dude" Toby told him annoyed as he had his arms crossed
"Smell like cat"
"You can eat him, if you want" Kate jokely told him

*time skip*

Okay, they were in the clear as Barbara pulled out of the driveway and drove away whilst Kate, Jim and Toby watched her
They finally knew what the troll's names were, the big green one was ARRRGH and the blue one was Blinky

ARRRGH tried to move around the house but due to his big size, he ended up knocking a table over, hitting the ceiling, knocking books over and some VHS
"Your cave, too small" he said as he continued to thrash about

Jim went to pick up the books while Toby and Kate went to pick up the VHS, Blinky approached Jim
"So, Master Jim, are you ready? We should begin your training immediately" Blinky asked him as Jim looked up to him

"Uh, it's a school night" Jim said as he continued to pick up the books
"I assure you, the relevance escapes me" Blinky told him
"I'm 15. I have to stay home and uh study and stuff, do homework?" Jim said as Toby and Kate were picking up the VHS but Arrgh sniffed one that Kate was holding as he grinned as opened his mouth soon Kate flung the VHS into his mouth

"Well, the whole 'getting killed by a vicious troll named Bular' might be a dealbreaker" Jim said as he stood up with the books in his arms

"Dude! He eats VHS!" Toby said, impressed as Arrgh then burped and Kate fanned the air in disgust "ugh"

"Dealbreaker?" Blinky asked as Jim turned around
"I don't want to die!" Blinky stared at him as his six eyes all blinked "goodness gracious! Who does?"
"I'm already dead on the inside" commented Kate as she gave another VHS to Arrrgh

Jim looked down sadly before taking the amulet out and stared at it before reaching his arm out to Blinky
"Maybe you should take this back..." Blinky looked at him, kinda surprised
"The amulet called to you, Master Jim" He said as he pushed Jim's arm back "it chose you. It is your..."

"Please don't say 'destiny'" Jim said
"...sacred obligation"
"Or that" Jim face-palmed

"You cannot refuse it, you cannot give it back. It is yours until you die" Blinky told him but Jim basically slammed the amulet into two of his stone hands
"And I would like to get a little further past puberty before that happens" he said but Blinky pushed the Amulet back
"Master Jim, you are now responsible for the protection of two worlds, human and troll alike" he said

"If you do not keep the balance, evil trolls like Bular will come into yours and wreck havoc"
"You're saying this Bular could hurt people?" Jim asked as he held the amulet
"Like you" Arrgh pointed at Jim
"Not helping!" Blinky snapped at Arrgh
"What's he talking about?" Asked Jim again

"With the amulet now on your possession, Bular will seek you out and You will face him, one way or another" Blinky said as Kate and Toby walked to Jim
"Maybe what Jim needs is a little time to process all of this,you know you laid a lot of heavy stuff on him tonight" Toby said

"Maybe about a whole month to process since this is actually big" Kate added as she stood beside Jim
Blinky placed a hand on his stone chin as he glanced at Kate and Toby for a few seconds, obviously deciding something
"Fine, fine, we shall return tomorrow then, to begin your training" Blinky said happily

"Awesome sauce"

It was time for Blinky and Arrgh to go back...wherever they came from as Toby opened the back door a little bit and quickly looked around to see if anyone was there but Kate doubt it since it was very late at night and who goes out late at night?

Toby pushed the door fully open as Arrgh was behind him along with Kate leaning on the counter with her arms crossed as she watched Toby and Arrrgh
"For the road, big guy" Toby said as he brought out some VHS
"VHS" Arrrgh said

"Moral weapons Five and six" Toby said as he flung them into Arrgh's mouth as Arrrgh then tried to squeeze through the door again as Toby tried to help him and Kate went to help as well as she pushed him

Blinky watched the two humans try to help Arrrgh before looking behind him to see Jim there leaning on the doorway while staring at the amulet
Blinky then walked over to Jim

"Master Jim, if I may" he started "Destiny is a gift, Some go their entire lives living existences of quiet desperation, never learning the truth that what feels as through a burden pushing down upon their shoulders is actually a sense of purpose that lifts us to greater heights" Blinky wisely said as Jim put the amulet away and listened to him
"Never forget that fear is but the precursor to valor, that to strive and triumph in the face of fear is what it means the be a hero. Don't think, Master Jim...Become" Jim smiled as he looked down for a moment after Blinky's Amazing speech

"Would you at least consider?" Blinky asked, hopefully then Jim looked up as he fist-bumped all four of Blinky's stone fists as Blinky looked confused for a bit but took Jim's smile as a yes as he smiled as well and nodded

Kate and Toby finally got Arrrgh through the door as he and Blinky were up the fence as Arrrgh looked over it before jumping over it, Blinky turned around and waved at the three humans before getting pulled over by Arrrgh as they disappeared out of sight

Jim, Kate and Toby were hanging by the door as they watched then disappear
"They're pretty stealthy, Not bad" Kate said as she had her arms crossed again
"How's that? I brought you a night" Toby said as he punched Jim's arm lightly
"A night?" Jim questioned

"Dude...you're the one who's always talking about wanting adventures and something more, well, wish granted" Toby said as he turned around to walk back inside with Kate following him
"So trolls are a thing, who knew?" Toby said as he walked back inside

Kate was about to walk back inside but then stopped as she realised that Jim was probably still processing this, she glanced back at Jim to see he was still there watching the night as she sighed before turning back and walking towards Jim

"Hey dude, I know I'm not the best at giving pep talks but this...trolls stuff, sounds like a adventure you can not pass up, I mean it's not everyday you meet a troll or a supernatural being in fact" She assured him as Jim looked at her

"Yeah I know" Jim muttered

Kate patted his shoulder "think about it" she patted it twice before walking back into the house with Jim behind her as he shut the door
