Trixie's POV

Elena, Care and I are doing our letters outside the Grill. I love having my sister back. Though she's a little obsessed with finding Katherine and killing her. Which I'm all for, the bitch killed Jeremy. But Elena can't win in a fight against Katherine. "Trixie, stamp" Care says.

"Oh right, sorry" I say handing her one.

"Thanks" she says.

"You don't have to pretend to be nice to me, Caroline. I know this is just a ploy to keep me distracted" Elena tells her.

"You both are done? I'm only on my second batch" Care states. Elena holds up a letter to out family friends in Denver.

"We have family friends in Denver. Other than that, no one cares that I'm graduating and, to be honest, neither do I. No idea who Trixie has written too" Elena states.

"Just a friend" I say.

"Then why are you blushing?" Care asks me.

"I'm not!" I exclaim and my cheeks heat up.

"You so are" Elena laughs.

"Who is he?" Care asks me.

"You two are obsessed" I laugh.

"Not nearly as obsessed as Elena is with Katherine" Care states.

"Wait, do you know where Katherine is?" Elena asks her eagerly.

"No. Why would I know where she is?" Care asks her.

"Yeah, but, Caroline, if you did, you would tell me, right?" Elena asks her.

"Elena, you're obsessing" Care tells her with a sigh.  Elena grabs Caroline's hand with ferocity. While I pocket my letter to Klaus.

"Caroline, listen to me, if you know where Katherine is then you have to tell me" Elena tells her.

"First ow and second I don't know, so chill" Care tells her.

"I'm gonna go post mine and Elena's letters. See you later" I tell them and left. I went to the mail box outside the post office. I put the Andersons letter in first, then one to Elijah and hold the one for Klaus. "I hope you come" I say and kiss it before putting it in the box. I then return to the grill.

To see they had finished and had gone inside. Elena was throwing darts at a dart board. Rebekah went over to her with a bottle of liquor. "Posted your secret love letter?" Care asks teasingly.

"It wasn't a love letter" I tell her.

"It was to Klaus right?" she asks me and I avoid her eyes. "It so was, which makes it a love letter" she states.

"Care, he doesn't love me" I tell her.

"But you love him" she says.

"I didn't tell you that so that you could lord it over me" I tell her.

"I'm sorry, it's just you've never me in love before and I'm happy for you. Even if it is Klaus who is hunting my boyfriend intent on killing him" she states.

"Will if he comes, maybe I could convince him to let Tyler return here" I tell her.

"You'd do that?" she asks.

"You're my best friend, of course" I tell her. "Lets go check on Elena" I tell her. She agrees. We head over to Rebekah and Elena.

"What about us? Are we still friends? And Trixie is your sister. All those things you said when your humanity was off - is that how you really feel?" Care asks her.

"Caroline, I really don't feel like going down memory lane" Elena tells her. She walks back to line up her next throw.

"Well, what about when you said, and I quote, "You're a repulsive, bloodsucking control-freak monster"? Did you really mean those things?" Care asks her. Elena hesitates over her next throw, then gives it up and looks at Caroline.

"If you're waiting for an apology, you're not gonna get one. I can't let myself feel bad, because if I feel bad, then I feel everything, and...we've all seen how well I handle that" Elena states. Just as Elena throws another dart, the lights go out throughout the restaurant. Outside, the wind is so strong it's blowing debris through the air and the sounds of heavy objects falling and breaking are heard nearby. Matt, Caroline, and Rebekah go outside to investigate. While I stayed with Elena.

(Time skip)

So apparently Bonnie is trying to drop the veil. We're at the center of the expression triangle trying to find her. Fun fact, the center of the triangle is the school. "Where's Caroline?!" Stefan shouts so that we can hear him over the wind.

"Inside looking for Bonnie!" I shout.

"I think we should split up. Damon and I can look outside. While you, Trixie and Caroline look inside!" Elena shouts.

"All right, let me know if you find anything!" Stefan shouts. We head inside. I take out a flash light and turn it on. "Lets find Caroline, see if she's found Bonnie" he tells me. I nod my head and he lead the way to the cafeteria. "Hey, there you are. Any luck?" he asks her.

"I searched the whole school. She should be here" Care tells him. The noise of something falling over breaks the silence and they both turn toward it.

"What was that?" I ask them. We head over to the kitchen. Caroline approaches the freezer and opens it to reveal a bag of ice, which starts dripping onto the floor.

"Hm ice is melting" Care says and shuts the door. "It just doesn't make any sense. This is the center of the triangle. If she's gonna do the spell, she has to do it here. This is where they should be" she states.

"Actually, I think we're in the right place" Stefan states. "May I?" he asks gesturing to the flash light. I had it to him. He shines his flashlight onto the floor, where the water from the melting ice is flowing down a drain. "Just the wrong elevation" he tells us.

"Call Damon tell him what we just figured out" I tell him. He does so.

(Time skip)

We found Bonnie and she was hurt badly. "Bonnie, what happened?" Stefan asks her.

"Katherine. Find Katherine. We're linked" she states.

"Elena must of found her" I state.

"Then unlink her" Care tells Bonnie. "You go, I'll stay with Bonnie with Trixie" she tells Stefan. Who left.

"Stefan won't be able to calm Elena alone, can you handle this Care?" I ask.

"Of course, go" she tells me. I left and find Stefan restraining Elena.

"Let her go" I tell him and he does so.

"How could you save her? She was as good as dead" Elena complains.

"Yeah, and so was Bonnie. Bonnie used a spell to link herself to Katherine, so if you killed her, Bonnie would be dead, too" Stefan tells her.

"How do you know that?" Elena asks him.

"Because we saw her Elena, you nearly killed our best friend" I tell her.

"I don't believe either of you" she states.

"Really?" Stefan asks.

"Why would we lie about that Elena?" I demand.

"Stefan never wanted me to kill Katherine and neither did you. Why are you both protecting her?" she demands.

"We're not protecting her, we're protecting you and Bonnie!" I snap.

"Listen to yourself. Your rage is making you crazy" Stefan tells her.

"Do you still have feelings for her?" Elena asks him.

"This isn't even about Katherine, this is about Jeremy. What, you think that killing her will take all that pain away? It won't" Stefan tells her.

"Oh, but beating up cinder blocks will?" she retorts.

"No, it's a distraction. Just like killing Katherine, just like turning your emotions off. The truth is, there are no shortcuts. You are a vampire, Elena. Loss is part of the deal. Look, I've been alive for 163 years. I have lost more loved ones than I can count, and it hurts me every single time" Stefan explains.

"So there's no hope? You're saying I'm hopeless?" she asks him.

"No, I'm saying you have to face your grief. But you don't have to do it alone, I can help you" he tells her.

"He means we and not just us two. Everyone" I tell her.

"Oh, of course you can. God, Stefan! Always trying to help, and you're concerned for me, it's just like..." Elena fumes.

"You're transferring your rage onto me, that's good" Stefan tells her.

"I don't need to transfer anything. I can hate two people just fine" she tells him. She starts to leave and Stefan reaches out to stop her. She punches him in the face. "Just like a cider block" she states and left.

"I hope Bonnie unlinked herself" I state.

"I sure she has by now" Stefan states.

(Time skip)

So Jeremy's back along with Alaric, Kol, Lexi and anyone on the other-side who has unfinished business in Mystic Falls. Elena and I hugged Jeremy tight refusing to let him go for the longest time. Now we sit either side of him. Enjoying whatever time we have left.
