No where to Go
•- Neko POV -•
Life was.. Well, everything to Neko before that day. Life actually felt worth living before the incident at the warehouse. Now? Tamarin was gone. And she was stuck with Delta..
She shivered at that thought, just as she suddenly felt like she ran face-first into a wall. "Ow, the hell?!" She held he nose which hurt the worst at the current moment. "Haha- I never knew having a physical form could be so fun!~" Delta luaghed from her spot on the ground where she had fallen back due to recoil of running straight into the doorframe of a flower shop. Neko rolled her eyes and kept walking.
Delta quickly went after her, as to not be left behind. "Hm.. your thinking about the slut again arnt you.." Delta narrowed her eyes, really just wanting attention. "She was not a slut.." Neko hissed and angrily walked a bit faster, but Delta floated over her head and stopped upside down infront of her, causing her to stop and look at upside down Delta. "Whatever, I know your thinking about her~" Neko was silent, but her glare said it all, she obviously hated the fact that Delta was butting in on her thoughts because they do share a sort of linked mind. "C'mooon- She wasn't that important anyway." Delta gave a shrug, with her usual smug smile, floating to reorient herself so she was right-side up facing Neko. "Excuse me?!" Neko snapped at her, her ears completely flat to her head and pointed back, showing her indignation. "What? It's not like she was serving any purpose anyway. Just another pawn taking up space on the chess board."
Neko was outraged by Delta's pure confidence to even dare say anything about her deceased lover. Who the fuck did she think she was? Invading her life and making it more miserable than it had to be. She lunged forward pushing Delta to the ground, knocking the wind out of both of them. She shook and bit down on Delta's tail, recoiling almost immediately and only getting a wince from the other cat. It felt like she bit her own tail as she curled up in pain, still on Delta holding he down who only luaghed. "You can't hurt me sweety~ I'm part of you! And we're stuck together til the end." Neko sighed, this was torture. She wanted out of it, but she seemed to have no where to go.
The two cats wandered to what they now called home, a box off the side of the busy streets of a new city she wandered off to, on a grassy area. Neko moved a cat bed that was in the box to the side, revealing a hole into the ground with a ladder. She sighed and climbed down it into a cave of sorts, flipping a switch so that strands of small, slightly dim bulbs hooked to the roof lit up the area. She slumped onto a bean bag and Delta fazed away, probably going to the mindscape. Silence hit her ears, the only sound she could make out was the quiet buzz of lights in the cave and the muffled sound of a car honking outside, but other than that it was deafening. She pulled out an old polaroid image of Tamarin from the center pocket of her hoodie and gazed at it. She began to tear up a bit, remembering all the time they had spent together.
"I miss you Tami.. So much more than you could even fathom.." She quietly hugged the photo slumping further into the bean bag she lay on. She fell asleep there, holding the photo, the only thing she had left of her. The one thing to give her any light in life.
