Memories of a Young Furball

-• Young Neko POV •-
Neko would always see things when she was younger. Theses things were only her imagination, but they say that the imagination is truly powerful through a child's mind. Her parents would always fight eachother and nag at every little thing, but the things would keep her company. She named one Sushi, another Loo, and the last Delta. Sushi and Loo were fun to play with and talk to, but Delta would always get her into trouble. Still, Delta seemed to be the most protective of Neko, hissing at her parents anytime they got close, but they didn't know, they couldn't see what Neko saw.

Delta would whisper things to her, many things; "Mom and Daddy hate you.." she'd hiss into Neko's ear. "They want you gone.. why don't we get rid of them..?" Neko never knew what she meant by that. Not until the incident that is..

She just wanted a glass of milk that night. Her dad was in the bath and her mom was reading a book in bed, the usual type of night for Neko. "Lets go visit daddy~" she heard Delta in the back of her mind, it was weird that Delta was the only one who could make out words while Sushi and Loo spoke through coos and whistles. She could hear them making whimpers as Delta pressed on. "Lets go treat him to a nice dive~" Neko could feel the chill air push against her, towards her parents room. "No- I- I won't-" Delta's hiss would grow loud in her head and Neko was forced to walk into the room unwillingly. Delta was in control now.

As she entered the bathroom she managed to stop, tearing up. "I won't.." Neko's ears flattened and her nose twitched emotionally. Surprisingly, Delta let up. "Fine," she hissed. Neko's sigh of relief turned to chills. "I guess we're doing this my way.." Neko fell to her knees, she felt like something was pressing her lungs, tearing at her fur. She clenched her fists, tears soaking into the fluff around her cheeks. It hurt. Moments later, she blacked out for a second, and Neko found herself floating in a dark space. "Welcome the the Mindscape sweety~" She could see through her own eyes again, but she had no control, Delta had physically taken her body over, and Neko was watching helplessly as Delta held her father under the water. Her mother came in and Delta swiftly bounced off the walls and kicked her in, drowning her face down.

Neko blacked out again, but it stayed black for a while. She could only float around in the empty space of what Delta called the "Mindscape," a dark void that when lit up you could hear and see everything. "Wasn't that fun~" she twisted around to see Delta in a form that looked just like her, but crazy and with occasional purple markings. She had an evil toothy grin. "What did you do!" Neko cried out in tears, but Delta was unfazed. "I did you a favor hun."
"You killed them!"
"They hated you!"
"THEY LOVED ME!" Neko was sobbing in a trembling ball. Delta let out a howl of laughter, whiping away a single tear. "Ohh, you're funny. Do you thing that if they loved you, even the slightest bit, that they would have done all of those stupid things?" She had a point, or so Neko thought. Her parents did all kinds of things; one got cheap money for being a slut and the other went and wasted it all on gambling. Her family was in great debt because both her parents ran off and spent all of the money on the credit card on junk, leaving Neko home alone with little food. "I'm right arnt I.. and you know it." Delta hissed, pleased at her silence. "Because I'm always right pumpkin~ And you gotta get used to that." There was a pause. "Here, have you're body back. I'm done using it for now." And with the snap of her fingers, Neko woke up leaning against the bath wall. And there lay her two parents, dead in the water, and she began to tear up. They weren't the best for sure, but Neko still loved them. They were her parents after all, and now they were gone.

That was all in the past though, when Neko was only 5. Now she had been living in a foster home for 10 years, and was off to high-school.
